Kimball Abstract Purpose: his article describes a study conducted among technical communication managers. Method: his study used a modiied Delphi method. To gather data, we used two sets of survey questions and two structured interviews. Results: Participants valued basic technical writing skills and traditional credentialing such as college degrees in TPC over technical degrees or certiications. Yet they also advised that academic programs push students to develop strategic thinking and other professional skills and conidence.
