February Hello Brian, thank you for the answer, need your help. I bought Volume 1, currently have only limited access to equipment few Cat for 1 month so would prefer to use Dynamips as much as possible. I'm trying to start preparing using Volume 1 but have several questions so far. If the Vol2 topology ie. Which one would you recommend to start working on Volume 1? How should I physically interconnect the switches? What ports of this switch are connected to R6 and SW3?
CCNA Uploaded By joseluisv. Tasks Configure the hostname on all switches. Configure IP addresses on all switch management interfaces as follows: Configure Sw1 as the telnet server using the password cisco.
Configure the enable password cisco on Sw1. You should be able to telnet Sw1 from Sw2 and Sw3.
The switch is a Layer 2 device, which should be configured with a default-gateway using the ip default-gateway command to make it accessible from different networks. What ports of this switch are connected to R6 and SW3? I understand that this is a logical topology but some devices have phy port information, other devices are not. It looks not consistent. Via what switch are R6, R4 and R1 interconnected? A topology made by Dennis D suggests that it is SW4 but I'm not sure where did he take the information from.
On top of that, interconnection of SW1 and SW3 still not clear. The same concerns SW2. However I also use other application like browser and microsoft word.
Do you have information what is configured where? You should have all configs inside GNS project file available for download at the end on the article.. How can I solve this?
Not able to download the lab files, can you please provide the correct link to download the GNS3 topology file. Yes, it seems that the files were lost on the last server migration. I will try to get it back asap. Hi, it is not working yet. I tried to downolad, but i got the message Error Not Found. Please, could you provide the correct link? I uploaded it now. Can you try if you can open it in the GNS3.
Apparently, it is working on GNs3 but with the local server only. Many thanks, I was able to download it. Would you an idea how to resolve this?
