Covenant series Deity - Jennifer L. ronaldweinland.info KB. Covenant. Covenant Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout Books in: ePub Deity (Covenant, #3 ) Elixir (Covenant, #) Apollyon (Covenant, #4) Sentinel.
I know I have to read Elixir and I am so on it. But seriously, this book is the best book so far of the series and honestly this series is by far my favorite JLA series and I am so feining for Apollyon right now. How the hell am I going to wait until the spring I am literally dying now for it. JLA never disappoints with her amazing stories and characters. This book proved that she can do no wrong, though I haven't finished Onyx I say this series is better than the Lux series.
It was such a wild and thrilling and very emotionally draining rollercoaster. I was up and down and up and down and twisting every which way. I got to know more of the characters in this one so it was awesome! I loved Leon so much in this, he was so fecking funny! Also Deacon He's just like his brother Aiden.
Love them both so much. And Marcus He surprised me the most. Damn he's so awesome and I was happy to see how things turned out. There were some devastating parts and parts that left me speechless, breathless and ready to kick ass and take names! One thing I loved the most about this book aside from Aiden of course was the Greek mythology being thrown in there more. It was so intriguing and awesome! Loved it! Everything about this book had me reeling and so excited and crying and laughing Gods, this book was perfect!
I really give Jen props for writing such a stellar continuation to a superb series. I am really excited and scared to see what happens next. With 2 more books coming out I can only imagine how Alex much more crazy shit Alex will have to endure. Seriously for a 17 year old she literally goes through the wringer Oh that ending View all 14 comments. May 02, Carmen G marked it as to-read. Huh, Team Seth? No offence to anyone btw. But I am so NOT down with the whole fate thing. Me just doesn't like Seth that much, there is just something about him that stirrs me the wrong way.
I swear if Alex is going to end up with Seth in the very end which I hope isn't very soon, I want this series to go on and on and on and, you get my point, right? But so not the point here. He's just I hope I'll still love him after this book tho, me is scared I will not.

Before you ask I decided to keep reading because I honestly do want to know what happens next and the books are entertaining.
That's all I'm going to say about my decision. My feelings are still very conflicted. I can't wait to get my hands on the manuscript to book 4! I LOVE editing this series! View all 15 comments. You know, I've been staring at my computer screen for over an hour right now. Just staring. Typing something and then deleting. Because this is honestly the hardest review I've ever written.
I've got SO much I want to say, but I just don't know how to. If you haven't started the Covenant series yet, OMG what are you doing here?
Get up and go to your local bookstore and download it NOW. A You know, I've been staring at my computer screen for over an hour right now. Anyway, this is a pretty long review so bare with me. Before reading Deity, I was sure nothing can top Pure. Pure was possibly the best sequel I've ever read.
Unlike other novels that suffer the second book curse, Pure was even better and more electrifying than Half-Blood. But I'm glad to say that Deity kicked both of their asses. It's even better. Deity picks up after where Pure left off. And reading this just reminded me that the Covenant series is by far my favourite series of all time, and also my favourite series about Greek mythology. Isn't it obvious? I mean, I am called The Book Goddess, and right after I read Deity I wanted my blog design to have an actually goddess and a greek influence.
So in a way, I dedicated my blog design to this book. The world-building of this series is just so mesmerizing and fantastic! The plot is really coming together now and it's so complex yet it works. I applaud Jennifer. You know, even with all the harsh society and all that, I wouldn't mind living in this world.
Jennifer has created such a livid and creative world that you just get sucked in it. The romance. Guys, the romance. I've lost count to how much I swooned during this book. I may or may not have also drooled.
And who might this guy be? It's Seth. Nah, just kidding. It's Aiden. The one with storm cloud eyes and dark wavy hair. Anyway, you guys know how much I love romance in my books and Deity certainly delivered!
Alex and Aiden together is one of my favourite couples. They just work because they're polar opposites - he's so controlled, she's so reckless, he's quiet, she can't keep her mouth shut, he's a pure, she's a half and so on. But they're also more alike than anyone would think. They're both selfless, brave, smart and can kick some daimon butt!
And umm there's some passionate and sweet sexy scenes in this book. Jen, thank you SO much for Chapter I think you know which scene I'm referring to: Moving on to Seth. Don't kill me! I have no idea why I ever liked him.
He's just so manipulative, crazy and no matter how hot or gorgeous he is, I don't like him. He can have Boobs for all I care. And thank God Alex doesn't care either. Jen's writing is just flawless. And every bit as beautiful and addictive.
You just can't help but turn the pages, even when you say to yourself 'just one more chapter', you ended up devouring the whole book in a day. She just amazes me every single time with her writing. There's really nothing I could say that anybody hasn't said before.
Holy crap! This book was also full of surprises and twists and turns! I never would have guessed who Leon really was! I thought he was the bad guy - I was so suspicious of him in Pure. And umm Deacon's love interest? Never in a million years would I have guessed that right.
My mouth was literally hanging open lol. And all the other characters was equally amazing in their own right, and all of them all had distinctive personality traits.
I loved the whole dynamic at the end, before the whole shit went down. Uh oh. I've got so many favourite parts in Deity but the most memorable for me was when Alex went to the Underworld.
I was crying happy tears! Also, the gods. And the goddesses. We finally get to see and meet some of the gods! And just so you know, I might name my future pets Death and Despair ;P. That scene cracked me up. So now we're onto the negative.
I would have hugged and kissed and hugged this book if it wasn't for this one girl.
I'm sure most of you know I wasn't Alex's biggest fan in Half-Blood, but in Pure she proved me wrong. And I began to really like her as the narrator and as our main protagonist. She's just so confident, and kick-ass and snarky that you couldn't help loving her.
After Deity, unfortunately we're back to square one. It seems like she's not really learning from her mistakes. She promises that she won't ever do the same mistake again and yet she still does.
It really irritated me how naive and blind she was to Seth. I get that she's got this connection with him, but hell. He's already done many bad things I'm trying to be vague here to not give away too much spoilers and she still won't do what everyone wants her to do.
Like someone said in the book, no one wins if you kill yourself. Just stop and think for a minute, girl. Anyway, don't get me wrong. She's funny, has a good heart and she's trying to do what she thinks is right though it hardly ever is but she just annoyed me so much with her decisions. Every death that has happened has something to do with her stupidity. Or naivety or her recklessness.
I'm so tired of it. And she keeps apologizing instead- I'm sorry but that won't bring back the dead. By the end of the book I kinda wanted to slap her.
If she actually listened to people to who actually cares about her, most of that stuff wouldn't have happened. But then again, who would like a perfect character, right? That would be so boring. Ugh, I'm so undecisive. Oh Jen why must you torture as this way!?!? This cliffhanger. And we have to wait until April next year for the next book, Apollyon.
I would be SO pissed if the world ended and I haven't even got to read it. So the bottomline is: I find him so funny. And about Alex's mum and dad.
That would be cool! If a book ever deserves a five stars, it's this one. My second top book of - just behind Onyx.
Read below to see spoilers and theories for the next book, Apollyon! I have a bad feeling about this in the next book. Could Deacon be like betraying them or something? Is that why he keeps trying to stay away from him? I don't think it's because Deacon's having a gay relationship with a half. It's more than that. I really don't think it was Olivia she was talking to on the phone. Liar liar pants on fire. And Aiden?
I mean surely she must have known he was there. She was friends with her mum and dad, and she would have seen him around. And she does like Alex's dad so maybe in the end Laadan would be Alex's stepmum.
That would be nice: When Alex was saying if there was another way to stop this. Instead of killing Seth. Hire me, Alex! I have no problem killing his sorry ass! View all 13 comments. Ne olursa olsun. I'm in shock, I'm amazed and I'm in awe by Jennifer's work. She has a way with details that leaves fire running through you're body and has you sitting on the edge of you're seat with excitement. Deity had everything I could have wanted from a book and more, it's an extremely fantastic read. With Alex's awakening fast approaching, she's determined to try put it off for as long as possible, but every time she ge Deity With Alex's awakening fast approaching, she's determined to try put it off for as long as possible, but every time she gets close to Seth, a mysterious new mark appears on her body and she can't help that think that Seth's behind it.
Torn between love and Fate, Alex's life is thrown into a whirlwind of dangerous events and hidden secrets are finally revealed. Can Alex survive this new round of tests? And can she find out the answers to her questions? I just knew I'd love this book and Jennifer really doesn't disappoint! Deity is full of engaging scenes, driven by emotion and full of love. It's not without it's dangerous and hard scenes but still, love drives this story and it's definitely not an unforgettable one.
The characters are just as fantastic as ever. I'm so excited for you guys to read this book so you can see what I mean but Alex if anything, becomes so much more lovable.
I didn't even think that was possible but she does. You're heart breaks for her as she struggles to come to terms with what she has facing ahead of her and the torment she is put through is unbelievable. This girl doesn't get it easy and I'm also sacred for her for the next book.
Now Seth, he becomes a character that you're either going to love or hate and while I liked him in previous books, I absolutely hate him now.
I won't go into more details about him but yeah, not my favourite guy right now. And Aiden, oh my god I'm in awe of Aiden. He's everything you want from a guy, lovable, funny, gorgeous and caring. The way he feels for Alex pours out of his soul and we see a completely different guy this time around. I never want to lose this Aiden and I'm eager to see what comes next. His lips met mine, and like all the times before there was indefinable spark that coursed through us.
He made a sound against my lips, kissing me harder and harder. He pulled back just enough so that his lips brushed mine when he spoke. I can't. Armentrout has captured, compelled and amazed me with her spellbinding and magical work. Deity will be a favourite of mine for a long long time and I can not wait to see what comes next.
