Ron Is Not Dead

Saturday, October 23rd, 2010

As I expected, False Prophet Ronald Weinland resurfaced today in Las Vegas, sharing a split sermon with his chief deputy sheriff Johnny.  He did not die speedily from the inside due to appendicitis, but is recovering from that as well as a hamstring.  Johnny was not accustomed to preaching from a seated position like Ron.

Ron did not elaborate about his sickness from the inside.  He did spend several minutes cautioning members against posting pictures taken at the feast on public websites.  It seems that some are posting pictures of members and twisting and distorting.  I’m not aware of that going on.  If someone could please post a link, I’d appreciate it.

Now Ron, if you’re referring to my post earlier this week about your senior elder Steve, then explain exactly how I twisted and distorted about him.  As far as violating his privacy, if that’s what happened, why are your elders ashamed to be one of your elders?  Why wouldn’t you want the publicity, so that 10 million people will know whom to look up to be baptized in the 19 months remaining before Christ doesn’t return?  ‘splain it, Ron.  I will point out that I did not post Steve’s last name, so an employer Googling him won’t find how it is that he inflated his resume.  If I got something wrong, let me know what it is.  Otherwise, we all know who the liar, twister, and distorter is.

During the sermon, Ron revisited his ban on Facebook, referring to his former elder Benjamin whom he defrocked over Facebook and later disfellowshipped.  It seems that Ron’s membership is contracting.  Some have died since the feast, someone in Virginia and a New Zealand member struck by a car.  Fred Roberts maybe?  Also, Ann Wrozek is battling a disease she contracted from a mosquito during the feast in Hawaii.  Hopefully she will not be the third elder’s spouse (and second female elder) all in their early 50s to die since the Great Tribulation didn’t begin for the second time in December of 2008.  Also, some have left voluntarily since the feast, apparently not impressed by his 4 new “truths”.  Some have been disfellowshipped, and now that Ron has recovered from his sickness from the inside, he’ll be disfellowshipping others.

I hope this is the beginning of an avalanche, as more people come to recognize Ronald Weinland is described in Matthew 24:4-5.

Facebook Vs the Fiftieth “Truth”

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

False Prophet Ronald Weinland returned to the scene of earlier crimes (perhaps a figure of speech) in Erie Pennsylvania where he lived for about 7 years ending in 1994.  Next week the Spokesman Witness will be in Bloomington Illinois at a location to be announced in an email he failed to send out yet.

pastorsheriffronLast week, Ron announced that Benjamin and Grace had quit the church.  Today he announced that they were disfellowshipped because Benjamin sent out emails giving his side of the story.  Later on in the sermon, he let on that Benjamin was defrocked in part because he was on Facebook in defiance of Ron’s edict that elders should not be on it.  This was rather ironic given that Ron read from an old Newswatch critical of controlling ministers.  It also seems that Benjamin had an issue with the 50th “truth”, although he was ordained after Ron rolled out this nonsense in June of 2008.

But God is just cleaning the body.  Just as he cleaned the body in one great sweep in February of 2000 in Toledo and Detroit. Ron will not hesitate to tell people who disagree with him to leave.  God is cleansing the church right now, Ron can see it starting again.  I hope the wave is a tidal wave of people recognizing the false prophet for what he is.   Note: the cartoon came from an ex-member of COG-PKG, one who has not commented here.

Ron promises to deliver a profound revelation about the thunders in a future sermon .  I have a profound revelation about the thunders right now:  they did not happen during the Sixth Seal the way Ron said they would in the chapter “The Seventh Thunders of the 6th Seal”.  Just as his spiritual breath of fire on me has not resulted in my speedy death 50 weeks after he issued the curse.

As a side note, Aggie who comments here has reopened his Purple Hymnal blog with a reintroductory post.  Back when I was required to attend the Church of Herb, the hymnal was gray which dates myself for those in the know.  Best wishes to Aggie on the renewed blog and I hope he still drops by my blog occasionally.

Sheriffing Ron

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

False Prophet Ronald Weinland spoke from the London UK area today.  Ron went into full-sheriffing mode this week on a visit to the home of his UK elder Benjamin Ikwueme.  The outcome  of this meeting was that Ron de-ordained Benjamin as one of his elders.   After the two witnesses left Ikwueme’s home and returned to their hotel, Mrs. Ikwueme called to say that they were quitting COG-PKG.  Perhaps the issue for Ron was that Benjamin kept his Facebook page despite Ron’s fatwa and edict that elders were not to be on it.  In his sermon on August 29 in which he strongly suggested that his members should not be on Facebook, Ron said:

That’s why I told the elders a long time ago to not be on those sites. Do you understand why I would have said something like that to elders a long time ago? Not to be on some of these open forums and so forth? If you don’t understand, think about it, pray about it and you’ll come to understand what’s healthier for the Church and why. And if it is good for elders to not do, I  wonder… hmmm, it might be good for us.

Or perhaps Benjamin did not come through with the 419 millionaires Weinland expected since ordaining Benjamin in September of 2008. 😉 Joking aside, I hope that Benjamin and Grace will soon be able to put PKG behind them and that they and their sons will recover from the cult.  And that they will reflect on their experience in PKG and avoid making the same mistake with another false prophet of which there are too many.

This trip has been an anniversary of a sort.  It was 10 years ago, in late November of 1999, that Ron and Laura started their false prophecy globetrotting with a trip to the Belgium and Netherlands using air miles donated to them by Steve Dalrymple.  While on that trip, Ron and Laura went to Paris and then London on or about November 25, 1999 and met the Ikwuemes.  So Benjamin and Grace have had a long association with PKG.

Ron promises some timeshifting sermons to be delivered leading up to the fast on February 6.  He’ll need to explain why the Great Tribulation has still not arrived well after the first trumpet blew for the second time.

Ron recycled one of his “News Watch” articles from the May 1998 issue. Looks like Ron’s not going to write another book, since he stated that everything in “2008 – God’s Final Witness” would happen exactly as written. And the timing would be right on target.  Except for the 8 month delay between timelines which was qualified in the book as “a marginal 6-month window of time”. So does that mean:

  • The US will no longer be an independent nation by June 21, 2009?
  • The five specific ministers named as the first phase of the fifth thunder of the 6th seal who are still alive will indeed die during the 6th seal which ended on Feb 2, 2008 Nov 14, 2008?
  • The economy is the 4th thunder and not the 1st trumpet?
  • where “2008 – GFW” describes the 1st trumpet as “When we are told that a third of all plant life will be destroyed, that is exactly what it means.” that that’s exactly what it means, and that it’s not talking about the economy?
  • That somewhere is an archive of interviews not arranged by Ron’s publicist?  Since “2008 GFW” states “Radio and television interviews will become more the norm as curiosity, news, controversy, and fear increase in proportion to the growing intensity of these thunders.”  This statement was in the chapter entitled “The Seven Thunders of the 6th Seal” which ended on Feb 2, 2008 Nov 14, 2008.

cartoon-vulture-nasty-review-hurtful-writerAnd where “2008 GFW” says:

The fire proceeding out of their mouth is symbolic of the power to pronounce exacting judgments upon anyone who would do them harm. Whatever the two witnesses pronounce will come to pass.

does it mean that I died a speedy death shortly after the Spokesman Witness pronounced his curse on me 49 weeks ago? That makes me so special. Not only am I a vulture picking on Ron’s putrid corpse, I’m a zombie vulture picking on Ron’s putrid corpse. How unusual. Somehow I manage to avoid picking on my own corpse and continue picking on Ron’s.

CoGgers and Facebook

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Since last weekend’s diatribe against Facebook by False Prophet Ronald Weinland, about half of the PKG members with Facebook accounts have deleted them.  I’m not surprised that so many have done this.  Rather, I’m surprised at how few have done so.  Hopefully a few of the holdouts will decide to delete their PKG accounts instead.

As redfox pointed out, False Prophet Rod Meredith’s LCG is taking the opposite approach to Facebook.  From their article:

By posting to your Facebook page a link to an article, telecast, booklet or other item from the Church websites, or by linking to Church material from your blog, your social network comes into greater contact with the Church. Please read the May-June LCN article entitled, Christian Communication in the Information Age, for helpful pointers on the effective use of this media.

In contrast, back on March 15 of last year Ronnie threatened to disfellowship anyone who represented on a social networking site their membership on PKG.  After that sermon, PKGers disappeared from the Internet in droves.

Somehow I prefer False Prophet Ronnie’s approach to Facebook.

In Which I Agree With Ronald Weinland

Sunday, August 30th, 2009

Ronald Weinland was in Dallas yesterday, the 37th sabbath of the Great Tribulation.  No one from Oklahoma traveled to see their spiritual idol even though the journey would have been significantly less than the 12 1/2 hour trip some Canadians made last week.  So perhaps Oklahoma is OK, being one state that’s free of Ron’s delusions.  There were visitors from Louisiana and even one from Mississippi, probably Laura’s friend Lori.

Ron reviewed last week’s sermon in which he claimed that he was either an apostle or a prophet.  His proof?  A claim that truth has to come from either one of the two.  As evidence, he recited some of the 50 “truths” listed on his website, such as “truths” 35, 42, and 44.  According to Ron, he began teaching the 35th truth way back in ’82 when he started in WCG’s full-time paid ministry in Lubbock .

To keep the tithe-slaves in line, Ron has previously promised a new truth for the Last Great Day sermon.  And Friday, yet another truth was revealed to Ron which he is not yet passing along.  Two new truths would bring us to 52 truths.  A deck has 52 cards, but then also it has a couple of jokers.  But it seems that Ron is going to hold the number of “truths” at 50 (one of God’s perfect numbers), with the latest revelation to be folded into the 50th.  I understand that — the 50th truth is getting rather smelly and needs to be refreshed. Probably the other “truth” can be integrated into one of the others such as the 38th “truth”.

Ron must be feeling a bit insecure right now.  A handful of doubters has developed, as reality has intruded with the lack of evidence of the 1st trumpet.  He warned against going on the Internet to visit sites like mine, which work to destroy faith and damage the spiritual mind.  It seems that Ron doesn’t completely understand as do I that true faith totally trumps reality.  Ron’s followers are quite adept at integrating his lame excuses and trotting them out to counter any argument of reality.  If a site like mine has any effect it would only be after someone’s faith is shaken.  Or maybe Ron does understand, and the faith of more than just a handful of his followers is shaky.

As pointed out on Gavin’s, Jack’s, and Dill Weed’s blogs, Ron took a good deal of the sermon to preach against Myspace and Facebook.  He prophesied that these sites won’t exist in the Millennium.  People will visit with their neighbors.   The problem for PKG members is that they’re so scattered that many don’t have physical contact with other members unless they travel great distances.  Weinland advocates phone calls and emails.

It would seem that some are writing comments critical of Ron on their Facebook “Wall”.  But even though Ron isn’t on Facebook, he knows what is being said because God reads it and then tells him.  (But I rather suspect that it’s Laura’s friend Lori — see, you too can be God.)  Those who criticized Ron should be afraid, very afraid.  I also caution them, because they could die a speedy death from the inside just like I have.

After Ron hinted at his ire with Facebook last week, several deleted their accounts.  After his forceful pronouncements of yesterday, I expect that many more are deleting their accounts.

Weinland repeated his theme of last week — that he was either an apostle or a prophet.  And then he insisted that he is a prophet, not an apostle.  Newsflash!! Ron, I agree with you. You are a prophet, and not an apostle.    The same was true of your spiritual idol, Herbert Armstrong.  The two of you prophesied, which made you prophets.  And both of you are the same kind of prophet — no, not one of God but rather the false kind.  Herbie made numerous false prophecies either personally or through a surrogate.  False Prophet Herbert Armstrong.  False Prophet Ronald Weinland.

Apostle, Prophet, or Fool

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

Some drove 12 1/2 hours from Canada to see their spiritual idol, False Prophet Ronald Weinland, speak yesterday in the Hartford CT area.  We are now 36 weeks into the Great Tribulation, with 144 more to go.  Some note that the Feast of Trumpets is 40 weeks into the Great Tribulation — could that be a judgment that this timeline is false just like the first?

It seems that a few are beginning to doubt that Ronnie is a prophet.  They’ve awoken and taken note that the timing of the second timeline is not that of the first one.  Otherwise, “nukular” bombs would have gone off by the 90th day which was in March (5 months ago).

Ron has taken note of Facebook, indicating that he considered forbidding it but was leaving it up to individual members.  Facebook has been used by the members to keep in fellowship, but now that a few are expressing doubts it’s better that people don’t use this media which he can’t control.  It would seem that he’s jealous of a few who are usurping his position as a teacher by posting prayers and their analysis of his book on their “walls”. I expect that a few PKGers will take this “suggestion” and delete their Facebook accounts.

Speaking as a fool, he said that if he was not a prophet, then he was most assuredly an apostle.  His proof text is from Ephesians 4:11, Ephesians 2:20, & 1 Corinthians 12:28.  “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.”  Ron insists on reserving all of these roles for himself.   Apostle or Prophet, hmm.  We’re presented a false choice here, it could be something else.  I prefer the other suggestion: fool. Ron, you railed against the false doctrines of Herman Hoeh.  Who was it who came up with the doctrine that HWA was an apostle?

Ron likens this to a race, urging people not to give up.   Folks, this is not a race.  There is no finish line — Ron will run you ’til you drop.  Jesus Christ will not return on Pentecost of 2012, other than in the spiritual sense of the 35th “truth”

We understand that Jesus Christ is “continually coming” in the flesh of those who are in the Church of God. This has only been partially understood by the Church. Some scriptures refer to Christ “coming” in the flesh. Much of the Church has taken this physically, meaning that he first came to mankind while in the flesh, as a man. Other expressions about Jesus Christ “coming” are taken as though this is speaking of a time he will return to this Earth. Yet the literal Greek concerning this word is neither about a “past tense” existence, nor of a “future tense” return. The closest expression in English is that of being “present progressive,” meaning that Jesus Christ is “continually coming” into our lives (in our flesh)—of God’s spirit dwelling (abiding, continuing, living) “in” us.

Ron claims that he is the only one who has preached his 35th “truth”, and that he began preaching it in 1982, which is when he was hired full-time into the WCG ministry.

Ron took time to take a few shots at his Internet critics: his usual “where eagles are gathered” and “we’re so small” spiel.   He inoculated his members against us, stating that he’s sorry for us and that we don’t understand.  Ron, I do understand that you are a self-deluded false prophet and you need not feel sorry for me, now 35 weeks since you issued a death curse against me.
