False Prophet Ronald Weinland

False Prophet Ronald Weinland was in Phoenix this weekend.  Ron marveled at how the Roman calendar for 2011 was the same as 1994 when the apostasy of Joe Tkach occurred.  Ron marveled at how the anniversary of the apostasy was the date of his ministerial meeting at a 5-diamond hotel in Las Vegas.  Satan was interested in the location because he’s interested in finding out what’s happening and he doesn’t find out until Ron reveals it.

Ron marveled at how this was the last Christmas.  Satan is the source of the pressure on Ron and his pressure and anxiety.  I guess the criminal case against Weinland doesn’t count.  Since his attorney was granted additional time by the court to review the 5000+ pages of evidence against him, was granted until Jan 9 to file defensive motions, and  the hearing scheduled for this coming Wednesday has been rescheduled for February 17.

Ron is feeling pressure from bloggers and critics.  He again suggested that we go fishing, and referred to members who left PKG and didn’t go quietly as snakes in the grass.  Perhaps he didn’t care for my publishing that his ministerial conference was in Las Vegas again, but then being Vegas Satan was already there.

Ron will be changing the baptism ceremony as of this coming Sunday, which is a significant date on the current version of his second current timeline: it’s the beginning of the last 20-week “half-a-time”.  Given that time is short for a few hundred of Ron’s elders unaided by the tithe of a third of the scattering to baptize millions of people, the ceremony will have to be simplified.  Perhaps no laying on of hands.  Ron could issue magic wands so a single elder could bless thousands of people who’ve dunked themselves with a single wave.  Probably no wand, a simple wave of the hands like the Pope on his balcony would do.

Ron again hit on the theme that most of the acts of Jesus in the “gospels” were accomplished in the last 2 to 3 weeks of his life.  The government was after Jesus but was held back.  We’ll have to see if the same works out for Ron.  In the meantime, Ron reminded his followers that it was not immoral to buy things on credit if one had the intent of paying the debt if the current status quo endured.  But really-for-sure-this-time it would not be necessary to pay it back, as all the corporations will be wiped out in the Great Tribulation and whatever property you have will be yours free and clear.

Ron ended his sermon by recycling the last seven of his truths that were revealed since the First Trumpet blew and the Great Tribulation began.

With this being the weekend for trading calendars, we look back at the past year and forward to the next.  In February, Ron posted that now was the time for the thunders to increase and strike the US and called for his followers to pray for the same.  This was followed by an earthquake in New Zealand and a major tsunami struck Northeast Japan.  In April, Ron declared 40 weeks of judgment to strike primarily on the US and other scattered nations of Israel.  We have one more week for that judgment to materialize and it should be a bad one as there’s a lot of catching up to do.

After 3 & 1/2 years since beginning the investigation, a federal grand jury returned an indictment on November 10 charging the Spokesman Witness with 5 counts of tax evasion and maintaining a foreign bank account without properly declaring it. Ron posted a weak response on his blog for those PKG members who had not heard of the issue.  Currently a criminal trial is scheduled to begin on March 20.  I put the following odds on the outcome:

• 20% of Ron getting an acquittal at trial
• 35% of Ron being convicted at trial
• 35% that Ron will plead guilty to get a lesser sentence
• 10% that Ron will go on the lam

The second outcome is what I prefer.  This would bring into public view the details of what the government alleges, and result in a longer sentence to isolate the End-Time Elijah from his deluded followers.

For the Apostle’s Last Great Day barn burner sermon, he faked out his membership by hinting that Christ would not return next May, and then took it all back, saying he believed more strongly in his Pentecost date.  This took his membership though the emotions of this failure, giving them practice for the real announcement of his failure later this year.  Some members had a very hard time with it.

This was all too much for “ChaCha” and her husband who left the church in October.  ChaCha appeared on this blog in August expressing doubts and cut the cord after Ron’s LGD opus.  Mr. ChaCha had a harder time of it.  Hopefully the next year will have continued recovery and be a much better one for Mr. & Mrs ChaCha.

Kirrily continued her recovery from being a member of Ron’s cult and earlier this year announced that she and her husband are expecting.  We are looking forward to the imminent arrival of her son.  While the new addition likely will result in less participation from her we welcome this change.

Looking forward to this coming year, I prophesy that Christ will not return on Pentecost or any other day.  I am more sure of this than Ron is of the opposite.  (Remember that Ron hedged his bet by paying the property tax on his house on the golf course even though there would be no legal repercussions before Pentecost.)  I am less certain of how this failure will play out in terms of Ron’s response.  If the outcome of his legal situation results in his imprisonment before May, I expect he will declare some kind of timeline change.  If he beats the rap, the recognition of failure will come later.  There is a possibility that Ron will spiritualize the return of Christ as he has other failures such as the non-sounding of the First Trumpet.  And as he did the non-deaths of his mockers and critics.

I predict that Ron will retain a sizable following even after the failure of his prophecies, and this even if he ends up with an extended vacation in Club Fed.  Significant numbers of his followers will leave, and if Ron is isolated in prison more followers will drift away during his imprisonment.

Either way, I expect a need for this blog after Pentecost and plan to renew the web hosting which expires shortly after Pentecost.

I hope the coming year will be better for those involved: the commenters on this blog.  PKG members who will hopefully leave.  Most of all for friends and family members of those still following Ron, as they have no choice.  Happy New Year to all of you. I am leaving Ron and Laura off the list and hope they get some measure of the comeuppance they deserve, which will be less than that called out in Revelation 22.

Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. ² And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. ³ Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. ⁴ They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. ⁵ And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man.

If you take “five months” to be 5 prophetic months of 30 days each, or a total of 150 days, then today, December 29, is 150 days prior to May 27.  But False Prophet Ronald Weinland argued in a 2010 Feast of Tabernacles sermon that “five months” doesn’t have to be 5 full months, it could be the end of the 1st month, then months 2, 3, and 4, followed by the first part of the 5th month.  So we’ll go with that.  But not allowing a month to be any arbitrary period of time.  So let’s go with the Jewish calendar, which is generous to Ron as its months align with the phases of the moon and are of length 28 to 30 days.  The 5 Jewish months leading up to and including Pentecost of 2012 are:

• January 25, 2012   = Shevat 1
• February 24, 2012 = Adar 1
• March 24, 2012 = Nissan 1
• April 23, 2012 = Iyar 1
• May 22, 2012 = Sivan 1

The very last day that we can squeeze the five months of torment down under this definition is the last day of Shevat, February 23.  But the five months of torment is part of the fifth trumpet.  Which is preceded by the first 4 trumpets. Ron wrote in his book that the first trumpet was exactly the destruction of one-third of all plant life.    But then spiritualized it to be the economic woes because the dollar after all is green just like plant life.  During the first aborted timeline, the 2nd trumpet was supposed to be “nukular” explosions in US port cities.

But Ron says he doesn’t have the foggiest notion what these trumpets are going to be during this timeline.  We’ll have to know by February 23.  Except that Ronald Weinland has somehow compressed this down to the last three weeks before Christ returns.  In the meantime, I prophesy that I won’t win the Great End-of-the-end contest on Dill Weed’s blog because Ron won’t admit by January 7 that Christ is not returning in May.

False Prophet Ronald Weinland was given a new title in a recent court filing by his defense team: “Defendant Ronald E. Weinland”.  There are actually two defense motions that were filed last week.  One motion was to extend the deadline for filing motions by at least two weeks, until January 5 or later.  The other motion was to require that the government preserve notes made by its agents which could be discoverable under the Jencks Act.  The Jencks act requires the government to provide as discovery any prior statements made by witnesses who appear at trial, or any material to which those witnesses may refer as part of their testimony during the trial.

We learn a few interesting things about the government’s case from these filings.  The Weinlands first learned about the case on Wednesday, July 2, 2008, when an IRS special agent confronted Ron and Laura for an interview. I wonder if the IRS special agent is sufficiently honored to have met the Two Witnesses of Revelation chapter 11.  In Ron’s sermon the following weekend (July 5, 2008), he mentioned great trials the prior week from a stirred up being.  A week later, on July 9, 2008, the IRS special agent began issuing 12 summonses to financial institutions for financial transaction records relating to Ron, Laura, and the church.

On July 29, 2008, Weinland filed a motion to quash these summonses arguing that they were overly broad because (1) they included tax year 2008 for which a filing wasn’t yet due and (2) included records for Laura and the church who weren’t under investigation.  On September 2, 2008 the government and Weinland reached a settlement on the issue of the summonses, with the government agreeing to drop tax year 2008 from the summonses.  The government did not agree to remove Laura or the church from their investigation.  Since the indictment charges Ron with a count for tax year 2008, the government must have reissued the summonses for 2008 transactions after Ron’s 2008 income tax filing was due (but not made).  In the end, the only thing Ron’s filing of the motion accomplished was to bring the criminal investigation to public view in 2008  — and this was a result of his own court filing which is a public record (the IRS is prohibited from publicizing investigations).

From the recent filings we also learn more about the government’s case.   The discovery provided is over 5000 pages and covers bank and credit card account transactions through numerous personal and church accounts.  The case against Weinland is based on an analysis of those transactions to assess whether they were legitimate church expenses or should have been treated as Ron’s personal income on which he would have been required to pay taxes.  As part of this assessment, the government conducted interviews of Ron and other individuals associated with the church.  One of those individuals would have been Audra Little, Ron’s daughter and the church bookkeeper.  Audra tried to evade answering any questions from the IRS and had to be ordered to do so in federal court during November of 2009.  The defense is seeking to discover before trial not only the summary memoranda of the interviews of Audra and others, but also the rough notes made by government agents during the interviews.

At one point, Ron mentioned investigators asking questions of church members.  Besides Audra, I imagine that Terry Wrozek and Johnny Harrell were interviewed.  If Ron takes this to trial, I expect that the government’s case-in-chief during the trial will include not only government agents and analysts, but also various PKG members.  I wonder if they’ll be willing to answer the questions put to them when they believe that Ron could “breathe fire” on them to prevent their testimony.

False Prophet Ronald Weinland visited in Richmond, VA yesterday.  He gave his upcoming schedule adding February 18 in Toronto.  I wonder how it is that he is going to be able to travel there with his passport surrendered to the US Probation office.  He also mentioned that the location of the elders conference last weekend was in Vegas, location hidden so the rank-and-file sheep could not drop in.  The hotel he mentioned was The Palazzo, another 5-diamond hotel next door to the Venetian with shuttles provided.

During the elders conference, Ron announced that people who divorced now would not be allowed to remarry before the “new age” as the time is too short. These people will be in the ministry and government during the “new age” but are not competent to run their own lives. Time is also too short for the 2700 “scattered” to be ordained as Ron has added so much to Armstrongism that they wouldn’t be able to wrap their heads around it.  (The “scattered” are former members of WCG who were baptized in that organization when the First Seal opened at Joe Tkach’s sermon in Atlanta 17 years and 1 week ago.)  So the several hundred elders that Ron has now will have to tough it out to ordain the 10 million people in the US who will join Ron’s church between now and May 27.

Ron doesn’t know what next week’s sermon will be, but has plans for the sermon of Jan 7.  Jan 7 is the end of the 6th of Ron’s 140-day “half-a-time”, each of which he likens to one day of the Israel marching around Jericho.  Perhaps he will explain away the 40 weeks of judgment on the US and other modern day nations of Israel which ends that day.  According to his blog posting of April 1, we’ll be able to relax as God’s judgment will then be focused on the other (gentile) nations.  In the meantime, Ron is amazed at the timing of the calendar this year that puts December 17 on the same day of the week as it was in 1994.

Except that we need to worry about the 5 months of torment which are to happen after the fifth trumpet.  Since tomorrow is exactly 5 months from the non-return of Christ by the Roman calendar.  Taking into account that a “prophetic month” is 30 days, Ron buys a delay until Thursday if you don’t leave any time for the 6th trumpet.  During the feast of 2010, Ron said that 5 months could be the last part of the 1st month and the first part of the 5th month with the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in between.  Since Ron’s trial is delayed from January 31st, kind of takes the IRS situation out of the picture.  But Ron has painted a picture that the 5 months of torment was to be administered by the beast power, consisting of 10 European nations led by Germany and the Pope.  The beast power has some serious organizing to do very quickly.

Ron’s sermon was titled “End of Tyranny” (part 1).  The spirit world is stirred up mightily.  Demented attacks are coming from snakes in the grass.  Which includes: unconverted coworkers and family members, mocking websites, and while not mentioned of course the IRS and US prosecutor. It seems that I will have committed the unpardonable sin because I won’t repent and acknowledge Ron as a true prophet of God.

Ron learned a new word “throe”, as in “death throe”, and how to properly spell it (not “throw”).  Despite Ron’s literacy issues, he is an expert at anthropology and knows that the Germans are actually the Assyrians.

Ron, if you really want to end tyranny, then you can help. You asked if your members were experiencing the “oppression of tyranny”.  Indeed they are, and you are the source. End the tyranny you have imposed on your deluded followers.  Admit that you’re making it all up as you go along, at the expense of your deluded followers and their life savings and family relationships.  Set your people free so that they can salvage whatever they can of their lives.

Ron’s sermon was mercifully brought short a half hour early by some sort of technical glitch.  Hopefully his ministry will be mercifully brought short by some sort of glitch, such as being a guest in Club Fed for a period of time.

The December 20 issue of “The Journal” is out.  This publication has editorial comment directed mainly to those former members of the Worldwide Church of God who attend various splinters.  False Prophet Ronald Weinland refers to it as “The Urinal” and has not joined the various kooks in presenting even odder variations of Armstrongism in paid editorial content in the publication’s “Connections” section.

This latest issue has an article on the indictment of Ronald Weinland.  Usually only the first and last pages are provided online, but for this issue the entirety is provided in PDF format on “The Journal” website.  The article about Ronnie (which begins on the front page) cites various “news outlets” as mentioning that he is “is accused of attempting to evade income taxes in the amount of $357,065 over several years beginning in 2005. Mr. Weinland is a minister of the Church of God Preparing for the Kingdom of God (CGPKG).”  Right after the awkward initialism for Weinland’s church, which while it isn’t what Ronnie uses is at least closer than Thielogical Bob’s “CGPFK”, “The Journal” refers to “Pastor General Weinland”.  While he operates with the same government structure (autocratic rule with a weak Council of Elders that can be removed by disfellowshipping them) and has the same mind-bending powers within his little CoGlet as did the original Pastor General Herbert Armstrong, Weinland has never adopted the title “Pastor General”.

“The Journal” has demonstrated poor journalistic skills.  Not only did they get the initialism and the title wrong, they left out information that was readily available through public sources. Such as the Swiss bank accounts and that he is accused of taking church funds.  The US Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky put out a press release with more details.  And Weinland responded several weeks ago to the charges in a public manner on his own blog.  Simple Google searches would have turned that information up.  While “The Journal” didn’t publish that information, they did take editorial space to give out the PKG contact information.

Weinland prophesies that his church will grow to include a tithe of a third of “the scattering” (or around 3000 people baptized in WCG as of Tkach’s apostasy of December 1994).  Perhaps he thinks “The Journal’s” putting his contact information will help.  And that the First Phase of the Fifth Thunder is beginning to sound.  Thielogical Bob has a copy of Rod Meredith’s latest letter on his website.  (Bob, note that I provided a link to your content even though you never do when you take content from my website, you arrogant p___k.)  In this letter Rod states:

Brethren, more than in any time I can remember, literally dozens of our members and ministers are in “dire straits” physically. Up and down the East Coast, especially at here at Headquarters, at least seven individuals that I happen to know about are in life threatening situations—mostly from cancer. Just this morning, interestingly, I received an email from one of our leading members, Syd Attenborough, telling about the death of two CGI elders. One of the men I had known, Dennis Lawrence. The other I had not known but am very sorry for his death and the death of all of God’s people who perhaps have to die prematurely. So these two elders have died just within the last several days. A number more of our own people may die within the next several months unless we—as a Church—cry out to God to please intervene more powerfully to heal His own people!

Rotten Ronnie may point to this as the beginnings of the Fifth Thunder, which is the deaths of CoGlet ministers which is to drive their flocks bleating in Ronnie’s direction.  Not so fast Ronnie.  None of the five specific ministers you prophesied have died, including the author of that letter who is 81 years of age and has suffered a stroke in recent years.  And was the first person you prophesied to die during your Fifth Thunder.  Guess again, Ron.  You’re going to have to wait awhile for those 2700 additional people — quite awhile.

False Prophet Ronald Weinland conducted his last radio interview over 2 years ago.  Since the end of his current timeline is quickly approaching, he is seeking more interviews.  In an attempt to generate a little Sixth Thunder action, Ron published an ad in this month’s issue of a trade publication for radio talk show hosts seeking guests.  Here is the text of his ad {with additional commentary from me}.

Which specific natural disasters did you predict?  Be specific as to timing, location, type of disaster, and impact which you predicted in advance to that level of detail.

It will be interesting to see if God’s most formidable prophet and the Spokesman of the Two Witnesses gets any interviews out of this ad.  Even an interview with a small radio station in a small market, much less a major market or even a nationally syndicated show.  If you become aware of an interview, please let us know about it.

False Prophet Ronald Weinland spoke this weekend from the luxurious Venetian Resort Hotel & Casino at his International Ministerial Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.  But he didn’t state his location, so those few members who don’t read my blog don’t know where he is this weekend.  The 29 in attendance would have included: Ron and Laura, Johnny and Myrtle Harrell, Wayne and Chris Matthews, Terry and Ann Wrozek, Scott and Kristina Cameron, Audra and Chris Little, Adrian and Cindy Gray, Steve and Patty Dalrymple, William and Una Milne, Dave and Shelley Conley, Lori Williams, Mitch Williams, Jimmy Carlisle, Willem Henderson, Jim Jamieson, Ralph Dowd, Leonard McGlynn, and Greg Chipps.

Ron is looking again at his list of “truths”.  In his sermon, Ron tweaked his 51st truth about his being the end-time Elijah-to-come.  It was two years ago, in December of 2009, when Ron decided that he was the end-time Elijah-to-come supplanting Herbert Armstrong.  (You might find it interesting to follow that link and read several articles describing all the contradictions surrounding the 51st “truth”.) Now Ron has decided that he needed to add two sentences to it, which will be included in the text of the “truth” on the website.  The apostles got much from Christ, but Herbert Armstrong had so much more.  And Ronald Weinland has so many more new revealed, not just restored, truths than Herbert Armstrong.  No doubt Ronald will still be happy to have Christ come on May 27 and take off the pressure by demoting him again.

Seventeen years ago yesterday, Joe Tkach Sr opened the first seal and committed the abomination of desolation in a sermon delivered in Atlanta.  Seventeen years ago this coming Saturday, he reprised the sermon at the church college in Big Sanday, that sermon being the one that was recorded and sent to all WCG congregations and was the one referred to as the “Christmas Eve” sermon (not the one in Atlanta).

Five years ago yesterday, newly ordained elder Kathi Wilson’s son Tony posted the following on the now withdrawn Ambassador Watch blog:

I know alot of you are rambling on and on about mental illness, delusions of grandeur, false prophecies, etc. etc.

I’m a man who knows Ronald Weinland. I’ve known him for multiple years. If there is one thing that I can say about him it is that he is far from insane and he is far from egotistical. In fact Ronald Weinland is one of the most down to earth individuals I’ve ever met.

This whole forum is dedicated to bitterness and frankly it reeks of a spirit not inspired from above. Just look at all the bloated hatred you all spew in every which way. Regardless of your opinion, pro or con, shouldn’t a Christian attitude be one of sympathy and concern instead of bitterness?

A lot of bad things have happened in the various COGs, I’ve spent years researching it and digging to the bottom of it all to wrap my brain around it. Sadly, the history is filled with individuals like those here on this forum dedicated not to any semblance of decency but simply tearing down (and if the truth stands in your way, who cares?)

If you want to talk about his book, why don’t you actually read it so you won’t appear so foolish along with full of blind hatred? You’ll see that he’s not in the same mold as Herbert W. Armstrong- he deviates from a lot of his positions on prophecy. He also addresses the foolish “No man knows the day or the hour” statement (If Christ is opening the seven seals of Revelation, wouldn’t he now know a timeline?)

If you want actual prophecies- read the book. He’s stated very boldly specific individuals are going to die and in what order (Rod Meredith, Richard Ames, Gerald Flurry, Dave Pack, John Ritenbaugh). If that’s not a specific prophecy, what is? And obviously there’s not a whole lot of time to wait for that fulfillment.

And what are you sad tormented souls going to do when your sources of entertainment are gone?

Ronald Weinland is a good and honest man, humble and dedicated to overcoming base human nature (you know, the one epitomized and displayed here by most present). And in the grand scheme of things, does anything else matter but that? Can any of you honestly claim similar?

Well, Tony, as far as whether I’m a good and honest man, I don’t have a horde of ex-cult members and family of current cult members who consider me the opposite of good.  Nor does the government have sufficient doubt of my honesty to indict me for criminal tax fraud.  Can you honestly claim the same about Ronald Weinland?

It’s five years later and none of the five individuals you mention have died.  Five years is a lot more than a whole lot of time for five old men to die to specifically verify God’s own end-time prophet as truly His representative according to the very test he himself defined.  What are you going to do with these revelations?  What are you going to do when Christ doesn’t return as prophesied by your spiritual idol next year on the Memorial Day weekend?

By the way, it was 3 years ago today that Ronald Weinland reissued his death curse against anyone who would mock him.  Here I am, still mocking away.  Since then, Ron has spiritualized the deaths of his mockers.  Personally,  I feel exactly the same spiritually.

Last year in October, False Prophet Ronald Weinland held a conference with his evangelists and senior elders in the  5-star Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.   They must have been quite satisfied with the accommodations including Egyptian cotton sheets under 400-count wool throws as they are gathering in the same location again this weekend.  According to the hotel web site, the price of the cheapest rooms has dropped a bit, to only $179 per night.  Isn’t it simply amazing that they can gather together there this far into the Great Tribulation, only 23 weeks before Jesus Christ returns.

The stated purpose is to get the church prepared for the influx of new members, which Weinland has been doing for almost 4 years now as he ordains more and more elders. While there, perhaps they can tour the facilities looking for places to baptize hordes of people.  The Venetian canals don’t look very good as it has steep banks which would be difficult for the baptizees to get in and out.  But the outdoor pool looks ideal.  Might be a bit chilly this time of year if the horde of converts starts arriving now, but when that time strikes there probably won’t be electricity to light indoor pools.

And while there, they can enjoy the hotel accommodations while they prepare to meet the masses.  I hope that Ron and Laura got the penthouse suite which is only $5000 per night.  They deserve this as their fate at the hand of the beast power is coming soon unless delayed by the US Federal Court system which might actually be the beast power and put him away for 3 & 1/2 years which would be like 3 & 1/2 days on the streets of Jerusalem.  Besides which they can put up Johnny and Myrtle in the suite’s second bedroom and save money that way.
