The last interview audio of Weinland available on the Internet was conducted over a year ago, on March 6, 2009 on WLW’s Mike McConnell radio program.  It is available as an 18 MB MP3 download from the WLW website.

At about 4 minutes into the interview, we have this exchange:

Mike: What happened December 14th? (of 2008)
Ron: December 14th was when the first trumpet of the last 7 trumpets was blown.  There are 7 trumpets that are going to be blown, the second one is when nukular devices will go off in this country.  And even back then, just before April I told you in that particular interview that we would have a period of about 45 to 90 days.  That also has changed.  That has been extended to possibly up to a year.  It’s going to depend upon how people respond this year. …. We have a period of time in this country, we are going down the tubes.

Then about 14 minutes later at the end of the interview, Ron started backpedaling when Mike set out to confirm this — which is fast even for Ron.

Mike: When’s the next event that I can look for that might fall into line with your belief system here?
Ron: Well, it’ll be nukular weapons going off here in major cities in the United States.
Mike: Within a year.
Ron: I’m not going to give you a time frame.
Mike: You said God might give us as much as a year.
Ron:  That’s right.  He might give you as much as a year.  He might give you a little bit more.  It depends on your response.

Mike McConnell did respond to Ron, and we must all thank him because due to his response, God gave us a little bit more than a year, so far.  And I suspect he’ll give us even more.

So Sunday was the expiration of yet another prophecy.  And last month was the refailure of yet another.  In his book, Weinland prophesied the downfall of the US no later than June 21 of last year (6 months after the fall season of 2008).  Later Weinland stated that the 8-month delay of his 1335-day timeline from Feb 2 until Sept 30, 2008 changed everything.  Eight months after June 21, 2009, actually 241 days later, was Feb 17, just a few weeks ago.

Are there any readers who live in the Cincinnati area who could call in and suggest to Mike that he have Weinland back on to talk about his prophecies? (WLW contact page).  Maybe Mike could discuss some of Ron’s extra-curricular activities and  new titles with him.

PDFs of Ron’s publication Newswatch are available for download from the church website’s publication page.  PDFs are also available from this website, follow the “Sermons” link at the top of the page and then look at the bottom of the page.  The difference is that the copies on this website are scans of the publication as originally published including the original banners, and therefore include the original text, while the copies on the PKG website are reformatted.  Since Ron has had sermons revised in the past, it wouldn’t surprise me to find that there are a few revisions to the articles as published on the PKG website in addition to the format changes.

Is there now an eleventh commandment? Thou Shalt Not Throw Paper Towels on the Floor.  And perhaps an upcoming twelfth commandment?  Thou Shalt Not Leave the Toilet Seat Up?

Ron is revising the baptism ceremony.  Given all the other revisions he’s made, it will be interesting to see what they are –  maybe dunking is no longer required and a sprinkle will do.

Ron talked about the race [sic] that’s divided between Sunni and Shia and the strife between the two factions.  He could instead have used Armstrongism which is now divided into hundreds of factions.  The leader of one of the Armstrongite factions has even written a book calling for the deaths of other faction leaders.  Which Armstrongite leader, you ask?  There are pictures of him and the Mrs somewhere on this website.

The same Armstrongite faction leader called for my death 63 weeks ago.  But that was the second time — the first time he called for my death was 98 weeks ago.  These occasions were the first sabbaths of his prophetic timelines, so I expect he’ll be calling for my death yet again on the first sabbath of his third timeline.

Back when I was running the WW, an anonymous source passed along the interesting hearsay that PKG elder Sam Q, while he was a deacon in my source’s WCG congregation, actually went to jail for some type of fraud, possibly to do with real estate. Sam allegedly told church members at the time that he had fallen in with a bad influence, and that he was blameless (but of course), …….

I have found some reliable corroboration for this hearsay. From the St. Louis Post-Dispatch – Thursday, November 30, 1989:

St. Louis: A banker from Shelbina, Mo., pleaded guilty Wednesday to charges that he made false loan applications at Madison Bank in Madison , Mo. A federal indictment returned in August said Keith Mayes , who had been the bank ’s chief operating officer, processed loans in 1984 for himself and Sam Qxxxxx, a business partner. U.S. District Judge George F. Gunn Jr. said he would sentence Mayes on Jan. 9.

COURT ACTION

St. Louis: Samuel D. Qxxxxx of Madison, Mo., was sentenced Friday to six months in a halfway house for making false loan applications at Madison Bank, in Madison. Qxxxxx and a co-defendant, Keith Mayes, pleaded guilty in November. A federal indictment returned in August said Mayes, who had been the bank’s chief operating officer, processed false loans in 1984 for himself and Qxxxxx , a business partner. Qxxxxx was sentenced by U.S. District Judge George F. Gunn Jr. Mayes is scheduled to be sentenced next month.

The name (including middle initial) and age match that of a Sam Qxxxxx who lives in Columbia, MO (about 60 miles from Madison, MO) and who is also one of Weinland’s elders. I have redacted Sam’s last name so that someone Googling his name won’t end up on this post, but I expect that despite doing this and the sources I have that I will be accused of lying, twisting, and distorting.  Sam has an amiable grandfatherly presence as can be seen of this photo of him at the Last Feast organized by COG-PKG back in 2007.

A six-month sentence suggests this may have been a misdemeanor, which is also the case for a simple traffic violation.  But a false loan application is a bit different than going 5 MPH over the speed limit, which Sam also did and then some in 1984 when the national speed limit was 55 with a Missouri traffic ticket for exceeding 70 MPH, as reported by the Missouri court record web site. If the specific federal violation was of 18 USC 1014, Sam could have been sentenced to 30 years in prison and fined $1,000,000 which would make it a felony and Sam therefore a felon.  Despite Sam’s conviction for financial misdealings, there’s no indication that he has any involvement with PKG finances other than paying Ron his tithes and offerings and whatever pitcher-breaking he did before the first failed timeline.

So Sam joins Greg and Al as one of False Prophet Ronald Weinland’s elders known to have or have had legal difficulties.  And Ron and Audra as well.  Any more? So much for the qualifications in COG-PKG for religious office given in 1 Timothy 3.

This weekend is the training session for all the new elders.  I thought it would be nice for all the PKG members who were not able to attend to be able to see the location for this conference.

This hotel has a nice atrium which can also be used as an area to serve meals, such as the buffet which the new elders participated in after the riff raff was chased out at 12:30.  I wonder which catering options (200KB PDF File)starting at $17+service charge + tax they chose.

Ron talks big on family.  I wonder if he pays Greg enough to cover his living expenses including child support for his children.  Seems that he wasn’t paying Wayne Matthews that much besides all the Flavor Aid he could drink, as Wayne was looking for a job to replace that which he gave up just before the first great tribulation.  I wonder if Jeremy is on the church payroll, as he has enough money to be able to travel overseas for personal pleasure.

From other accounts, Greg is a well-mannered young man who deals with adversity with equanimity, adversity of the type that gets Ron hot under the collar.  But Greg appears to be caught between a False Prophet and a hard place.  With Greg out of the picture, who will train all the new elders on how to use the Elders Management Console program?  Who will set them up with church email addresses?  How will they be prepared to deal with the 100s and 1000s each will have to manage when the trumpets finally sound?  Or has Ron bailed him out of jail so he could take care of all the new elders this weekend?  Inquiring minds want to know.
