2010 — God’s Falser Witness

Friday, January 1st, 2010

2010gfwBeing the beginning of a new year, it’s time to look back at the past year and also look forward.

A year ago, I made a few predictions such as that the inauguration of Barack Obama would come off despite Weinland’s prophecy that it wouldn’t happen. As I predicted, the pope still hasn’t done anything beast-like and has given no indication that he’s even heard of our Spokesman Witness, much less that he’s irritated by him.

The end of January saw the unprecedented 2-day fast in which members were to pray for death to humble people from an increase in the thunders.  Since this didn’t happen, Weinland twisted their prayers as justification for the Tribulation not being great (or even minor for that matter).  As I expected, Weinland has hammered on the 4th Thunder, the economy, even turning it into the 1st Trumpet with green currency being grass.  I guess countries with different colored currency will skip the 1st Trumpet.

February gave the opportunity to show Weinland’s member control tactics in an email exchange with an exiting member.  It seems that any problems you have with Ron and his false prophecies are due to some sin in your life.

In March, after the second trumpet did not strike within the first 90 days of the 2nd Great Tribulation, “Citizen X”, who was the only pro-Weinland blogger (albeit claiming neutrality), declared Weinland to be a false prophet. Weinland also made another radio interview with Cincinnati radio station WLW, his first in about 10 months, and stated that “nukular” explosions would occur within a year.

In June, Ron gave a presentation at ideaCity and fled after being exposed to Rick Miller’s comedy routine.  The formidable prophet was still so rattled 3 days later that he got the day for the event mixed up in his sermon.  But never fear, Jeremy knows how to edit sermons and does.  And on the 21st of June yet another prophecy in “2008 – God’s Final Witness” failed as the US is still an independent nation.

In July, Kirrily worked through some of her anger at being exploited by Weinland.  Also in July, recordings surfaced revealing Weinland’s tactics as he seized control of The Church of God, Inc. from its lay board as I transitioned from Blogspot to this WordPress blog.

In August, Weinland came out against Facebook and stated he was not an apostle.

In September, he missed his live appearance for the Feast of Trumpets, which was also the 40th sabbath of judgment of the Great Tribulation.

In October, Weinland redefined Time in his Last Great Day sermon with the help of alternate definitions in Strong’s Concordance, selecting the one that suited him.

November was an eventful month, as he declared himself to be an apostle despite his denial of such less than 3 months earlier.  Audra was ordered in federal court to give testimony to the IRS to support their criminal investigation of Ronald Weinland.  He also defrocked one of his elders for being on Facebook.

This past month has also been eventful, as Weinland demoted his spiritual idol Herbert Armstrong to only a “type” of an Elijah, claiming himself to be the final Elijah-to-come to restore all things.  And also announcing the ordination of women within PKG besides Laura.

downfallWe can put paid to yet another failed prophecy, as put out during his Google Adwords campaign earlier last year.  America is still an independent nation despite Ron’s extension of our economic woes.

Now for the predictions.  I predict that Weinland will keep most of his members as he marches them in close-order drill to the right and to the left.  I don’t think that there will be a strong reaction to his ordination of women since that was practiced in WCG, although only to the rank of deaconess which did not include the right to perform baptisms.  A lot will depend on whether Ann, Myrtle, or Chris throw their senior elder weight around too much.  I wonder if Wayne’s tendency to sheriff will rub off on Chris.

His future waves of ordination will take in most of the sealed, particularly those healthy and employed who generate more income.  He will then move to the younger unsealed members who have been with him for awhile and attended the 2006 Feast of Tabernacles.  There will be few if any ordained among the members who joined as a result of the Google Ad campaign which began in earnest in late 2007.   Ron promises to dangle yet more carrots in front of his members.  Probably will include the assumption of yet more titles with the proof based solely on his declaration.  Any new changes in doctrine will be designed to intensify his hold on his followers.

I predict that over the coming year there will be bad weather events, earthquakes, an armed skirmish here and there, and a few ups and downs of the economy.  One of the Fated Five of the Fifth Thunder may die (after all they’re in their 60s and 70s and 3 of the 5 have buried their first wives), and if it happens that will be shown as evidence of Weinland’s prophethood even if Meredith and Ames are not the first to die.  The 6th thunder will die off since the movie 2012 has been released for awhile now and when we get into the new year there will be less inclination for “end of the world” predictions.  Ron may get a radio interview or two in some local market but his ideaCity audience will not be repeated.

I also predict that IRS Criminal Investigation will refer the case against Ronald Weinland to the Department of Justice for criminal prosecution later in the year.  They’ve been on the case for 18 months now, which is longer than the average of 14 months for an investigation, so it would seem they still feel that they have a good chance of making a case in court.   There is also a statute of limitations deadline for the first tax year for which they’re investigating him, and time has to be allowed for the review process and obtaining an indictment.  The statute of limitations is 6 years from the required filing date of April 15, 2005 for tax year 2004, or April 15, 2011.  However, the statute of limitations starts at a later date if he filed later, and is extended whenever he is out of the country.  As a reminder, a DoJ referral would not mean that Ronald Weinland is guilty of criminal tax evasion as that can only be determined in a court of law.

I hope that neither the IRS or the DOJ gives Weinland a taxpayer conference before deciding to proceed toward prosecution.  I think it likely that if Weinland feels the law closing in on him, he will make another overseas trip, one much, much longer than usual.  Or use his many members to hide him away from the beast power now recognized to be manifested in the criminal justice system.

I further predict that Weinland’s curse that I die speedily from the inside will be delayed long enough to see if my predictions come true or not.

To “Weinland Observer”, I hope that my reading of your absence from my blog is correct, that your parents have engaged with you and shown to you that this prophet is false, and that you’re back to doing the normal teen things.  Life, particularly at your age, is hard enough without a religious exploiter involved screwing things up even more.

To Kirrily, I know this last year has been a crazy one for you.  I hope that this coming year will settle out and be your best ever.

To all of my readers, thank you for following my blog.  And to those of my readers who are elders, and to “Observer” and other lay members of The Church of God – PKG, I hope you will have eyes to see and ears to hear and will stop drinking the Flavor Aid stirred up from Ron’s delusions.

A New Title for Laura, Too?

Friday, December 25th, 2009

Spokesman Witness, Apostle, Elijah-to-come and False Prophet Ronald Weinland has promised yet new revelation in his sermon this weekend, both in last weekend’s sermon and this week’s blog posting:

Beginning this Sabbath, the Church will take another big step forward in doing that commission given to it in this end-time. ……  This Sabbath God is beginning the process of restoring things that have been removed from mankind since the days of Adam and Eve.

eveMy speculation is that it will be a change in Laura’s status.  If so, will Ron tell Laura to stop cackling at his lame jokes, citing the following scriptures?

1 Corinthians 14:34  Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
1 Corinthians 14:35  And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

1 Timothy 2:11  Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
1 Timothy 2:12  But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

I rather doubt it.  He’s more likely to elevate her status.  But she already is ordained as prophetess and placed just below him over the church, so what more can he do?  Apostless? Elijah-to-comess? Maybe she won’t be the Silent Witness anymore?  Ron could have her do the next radio interview, which would amplify the 6th Thunder of the 6th Seal — now that would get some media attention as I don’t think there’s ever been a woman who claimed to be one of the end-time witnesses.

What has been removed from mankind since the days of Adam and Eve?  Will Laura be giving Ron an apple she got from a snake? Will Ron be recreating Eden by setting up a nudist commune for his members?

Inquiring minds want to know.  But we’ll all have to tune in at 2:30 Eastern Time to find out.

Ron Vs the CoG Leaders

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

At a couple of points during Insane Lying False Prophet Ronald Weinland’s sermon last Saturday, he took pot shots at some of the leaders of competing CoGs.  He dug up some old copies of his News Watch magazines from 1998 and 1999.  From the sermon:

[Reading from page 5 of the Jan '99 issue of News Watch]“The large organizations will no longer be functioning as they are today.  On the contrary, even now they are nearing their end.”

[Commenting extemporaneously] Now people can mock and make fun of that.  1999 – Hah, they’re nearing their end.  A lot truer today than it was then.  How near is near?  Ten years?  Eleven years?  Is that not near?  Amazing how human beings are sometimes, now haughty human beings are.  Some who like to poke fun at and make fun of some of what is said in one area of the thunders about certain leaders of the church.  It’s coming.  It’s coming.  In God’s time.  According to God’s will.

The “area of the thunders” Ron referred to is the first phase of the fifth thunder of the 6th seal.   During the first phase of the fifth thunder, Rod Meredith, Richard Ames (both of Living CoG), Gerald Flurry (Philadelphia CoG), David Pack (Restored Cog), and John Ritenbaugh (CGG) were to die early on.  This is all described on page 107-108 of 2008 – God’s Final Witness and offered as a test of himself as a prophet “How much more specific can one be to show that he is either of God, and indeed His prophet, or someone who has clearly stepped over the line to be dealt with by God in a speedy manner. Time will tell! And, you don’t have long to wait!

As described in 2008 – God’s Final Witness “This phase of the Fifth Thunder is one of my own choosing, which God has granted me as part of His own will and purpose for the Church”.  Well, it’s over 3 years since the book was released in November of 2006, and over a year since the 6th seal ended for the second time, and we’re still waiting as none of these accursed CoG leaders are dead.  Not mocking or making fun of, just pointing out something for those who have eyes to see.  God didn’t grant Insane Lying False Prophet Ronald Weinland anything.

Ron wasn’t done.  He took additional pot shots at John Ritenbaugh for counting Pentecost a week differently a few years.  And then he went on to mention a “minister from Missouri”.

Ron started his globe trotting with a trip to Europe in November of 1999 using Steve Dalrymple’s air miles.   Ron mentioned that during that trip he used Benjamin and Grace’s home in greater London to conduct a Bible study which was attended by a number* of people including Phillip Burman who is still one of Ron’s elders.  The group in the UK now is fewer than 50, most of whom joined in 2007 and 2008 after Ron started promoting his book, so I doubt that very many of those attending Ron’s Bible study went with PKG.  Any friendships that Benjamin and Grace had with others in that small group are now ended by edict of Sheriff Ron.  * (According to Saturday’s sermon, 19 people were at the meeting in London in 1999.  According to the sermon of Dec 5, 1999 there were 12 people including 3 children.)

Ron continued on in last week’s sermon:

“It was at this time [1999] that we invited that minister from Missouri to be there during Thanksgiving while we were away.  And while we were away, the mice did play.  Because they started hatching up division while we were gone, while we were in Europe.  And they began to spread things around a bit here and there.  And they began to talk amongst themselves.  About what I was doing and I was their minister and I should be there and I shouldn’t be anyplace else and I shouldn’t go anyplace else, because he’s our minister.  And basically he should do what we tell him to do.  Little did he know what God was

While Ron was in Europe, he missed two sermons.  On November 20, 1999 Al Buchanan delivered a sermon titled “Children of the Light” to “the Church of God” in Toledo.  Al Buchanan was the minister of the Belleville CoG (a suburb of St. Louis in Illinois).  By all accounts, Al is not an empire builder.  In fact a few weeks after this last Feast of Tabernacles he stepped down, stating that he felt his little CoGlet was encouraging division within Armstrongism.  This just points up Ron’s paranoia.  Ron, just because you’re plotting doesn’t mean that everyone else is.

On the other hand, it was just over two months after Ron’s first European trip as a prophet that he seized control of the Church of God Inc from its lay board during January and February of 2000. Ron the cat swallowed the church whole and spit out the mice.

During Ron’s sermon this past week, he quoted from various issues of News Watch.  Here’s one potshot against CoGs that he didn’t quote.  From the June-July 1999 issue on page 3 (336kB PDF Download):

Today some believe they are to give a warning witness to Israel.  What a puny effort we see.  If and when God gives a witness to Israel, more than He already has, you will know it.  Israel has already received the height of a warning witness given through the Philadelphia period of time, and they rejected it.  That is a witness against them!

The next witness will be obvious. It will be when God needs no Church to help sponsor nor support itThere will be such miraculous events accomplished at that time that much free publicity will be given. The work of that witness will consist of such newsworthy events that it will be widely reported in this world.  There will be no need for an organization to sponsor such efforts.

That future witness to Israel will be one that reminds them of the earlier witness they refused during the Philadelphia era.  It will tell them why they are then suffering once the physical tribulation has begun.  It will also be a message to the whole world of what is soon to follow – the Kingdom of God on earth with the soon coming of Jesus Christ as King of kings.  That job has been set aside for two to accomplish by the power of God.  No church organization is going to do it, and no individual is going to be able to set himself up as God’s apostle to do it. It is for the two who are yet to be sent by God.

Ron sure doesn’t skimp on his irony pills.  Ron, here you have it.  It’s all your fault that the Great Tribulation hasn’t started.  You don’t need the COG-PKG.  Turn it over to Johnny and strike out on your own exercising your awesome Witness powers.  When you and Laura are on your way out of town to call down plagues on world capitols, Y’ALL can stop off to breathe fire on that nasty IRS special agent who keeps serving Audra with summonses.

They’re Picking on Me

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

False Prophet Ronald Weinland spoke yesterday from the Netherlands, on his second trip there during this year of Great Tribulation.  Ron delivered the sermon standing up instead of sitting as he normally does.  He described the TV program on Canada’s Vision TV network Friday night featuring the false prophet, including a post-presentation interview during which it came out that at the End it would be Ron Vs the pope.

Ron reiterated that he is both an apostle AND a prophet.  He is in rarefied company with the only other person in history having held both titles being John.  Ron spent some time defining the difference between the two roles.   An apostle reveals new doctrines, which Ron did during the 2005 feast with his origin-of-Christ doctrine.  A prophet — well a prophet prophesies.

Ron took some time to mention his critics, calling us vultures and mockers picking on him.  Which isn’t happening to other groups.  Well Ron, none of the other splinters has put out a specific date.  None of the other splinters is headed by someone claiming to be an End-Time Witness.  And none of the other splinters is headed by someone under criminal investigation.

The presence of “vultures” is a proof of PKG as the true church.  We’re doing this because we were put out of the church.  This is simply not true, at least not in my case.  I was not put out of the church.  Nor were any of Ron’s other critics as far as I know.

He again cautioned his followers against websites like mine.  Or listening to a relative who will point out websites like mine or any other website critical of him  He responded to an article posted on MSNBC and other websites during the last week or so which reads:

According to God’s Church minister Ronald Weinland, the end times were upon us — again. His 2006 book “2008: God’s Final Witness” stated that hundreds of millions of people will die, and by the end of 2006, “there will be a maximum time of two years remaining before the world will be plunged into the worst time of all human history. By the fall of 2008, the United States will have collapsed as a world power, and no longer exist as an independent nation.” As the book noted, “Ronald Weinland places his reputation on the line as the end-time prophet of God.”

This was characterized as “feces”. Think of all the thunders, like a downpour in the UK that caused some flooding.  Ron, shame on you.  As a witness you were supposed to stop it from raining.  It turns out that the US is not an independent nation because we trade with other nations and send ambassadors to them.  I thought this was always the case, but I must have been imagining what is only a recent development.  The world is in the worst time of all human history, we’re just not aware of it yet.  Things that didn’t happen in his book don’t make the book false.

Ron took a trip down memory lane, repeating his claim of having resigned from UCG on Pentecost of 1997 (June 15 that year) which contradicts his own writings of 1998 that the resignation had been on May 30, 1997.  Not only does Ron reinvent the future as circumstances require, he does the same with the past. Then he talked about his “Newswatch” periodical published intermittently during 1998 through 2002, and his two booklets “Time is Running Out” and “Time has Run Out”.  Ending with his latest book which his father-in-law Carroll Short encouraged him to write as he was dying of liver cancer.  Ron wrote all of this material despite hating to write and not being good at the English language.  He failed to mention Larry Spivey who spent a lot of time and suffered a lot of abuse editing his prose.

The Great Tribulation will be less than 2 1/2 years but will come to pass.  He warned against interpreting his prophetic writings in “2008 – God’s Final Witness” in a literal physical way — it will all come to pass in its time. Being written in a prophetic manner makes it hard to understand his books. Stay tuned for Ron to provide the interpretation as the process develops.  He acknowledged that the timing of events has changed, because of the 50th truth, but insists that it’s all going to come true in God’s time.

Ron has practically given up on prophesying because he doesn’t have the foggiest notion what’s going to happen next as God hasn’t revealed it to him.  It will be revealed to him at the same time it’s revealed to the rest of us — when it happens.  He hasn’t called down any plagues or stopped the rain.  Nor have his death curses had any effect as I’m still alive 48 weeks later after he issued one against me. Some witness!!! Ron, I think God fired you and forgot to send you a pink slip.

A Little Sixth Thunder

Friday, November 20th, 2009

Tonight (Friday Night) at 11:30 Eastern time, the Canadian network Vision TV is broadcasting False Prophet Ronald Weinland’s ideaCity performance.  But I must disagree with the PG rating  And the Spokesman Witness was featured in this article in the Dayton Daily News.

According to reliable sources, the end of the world is coming on May 27, 2012. Or, on a much more optimistic note, Dec. 12, 2012.

The earlier prediction is from Ronald Weinland, a northern Kentucky minister who, according to his own modest confession, was made a prophet by God in 1997. Prior to becoming a prophet, God had made him a salesman in the petrochemical industry.

The article seems to have been researched on my Ronald Weinland Biography page.  The Sixth Thunder (growing recognition of Weinland as a prophet) is increasing in volume as amplified by this article.

And thanks to this post on Ambassador Watch, the Sixth Thunder has also rumbled a little louder on this blog from all the referrals sent my way.  Thanks to Gavin for featuring me.  And thanks to an anonymous wag commenting over there for finding this prophetic picture.  Will this prophecy turn out like Ron’s do? Or will it come true?

In Which I Speak for Myself

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

In Kirrily’s recent article hosted back on Don’t Drink the Flavor Aid, she stated:

I won’t speak for Mike, but I believe that if everything had indeed occurred as Ron said they would, that Mike would have believed that Ron was who he said he was!

I can speak for Mike, ;) and here’s what I say:

Ron published his book “2008 — God’s Final Witness” in November of 2006. Let’s pretend that the following events had taken place between that publication date and early April of 2008 when I began this blog:

  • A terrorist event here in the US exceeding that of September 11.
  • Multiple earthquakes in the US exceeding those of the 1989 San Francsisco earthquake and the 1994 Los Angeles Northridge earthquake.
  • Multiple weather events effecting the US each of which exceeded the damage of Hurricane Katrina.
  • An economic problem exceeding that which later came to a head in September of 2008.
  • The deaths of certain CoG ministers: Rod Meredith, Richard Ames, Gerald Flurry, David Pack, and John Ritenbaugh. (Yes, I’m aware of some of these individuals, and even played with Meredith’s son as a child.)
  • A sustained death rate of celebrities and notables far exceeding those of late June and early July.
  • A major pandemic exceeding the current swine flu pandemic and rivaling that of 1918/1919.
  • The appearance of Ron and Laura on major TV news magazine shows such as “60 Minutes” and “20-20″, or at least a serious article in a magazine like Times or Newsweek.
  • A noticeable religious movement rejecting the trinity doctrine and going further to reject Jesus as having eternally existed, reserving that status for Yahweh Elohim alone.

Let’s say all of the above had happened to fulfill Ronald Weinland’s Seven Thunders prophecies. Or that similar events of the same order of magnitude had occurred except that the 5 specific ministers had still died. In that case, I might have remained skeptical as to whether Ron and Laura were the Two Witnesses, but would not have started a blog mocking the False Prophet and False Prophetess. After all, my first post following the introductory post was to debunk his Second Thunder.

And let’s say the following occurred after April 17th, 2008:

  • The Pope began making political overtures to nations of the United States of Europe, particularly Germany
  • During the seven weeks following 4/17/08, vegetation in the US began a massive die-off for some reason, with concurrent animal deaths as their habitat was destroyed, to fullfil Ronnie’s First Trumpet prophecy as prophesied on Weinland’s blog.
  • Bob Thiel of cogwriter.com and Gavin Rumney of Ambassador Watch announced the ending of their blogs due to health reasons, or even simply stopped updating them, indicating that Ron’s curses against his mockers were effective.

Then I would have had to admit the possibility that Ron and Laura were indeed the two witnesses, that their curses against their mockers were effective, and that their prophecies were true. And if these events had been followed up with specific weather events declared in advance by Ron and Laura and “nukular” detonations in US port cities by mid-July of last year, then I’d have had no choice but to admit that Ron and Laura were indeed the Two Witnesses of Revelation chapter 11. Perhaps I would include myself in the hordes joining their church and be a part of the tithe of the third of the US population or 10 million people to survive the remaining trumpets and live on into the new age.

But absolutely none of this happened. Not even close. Let’s say that world events had gone on exactly as they actually have, but that in Weinland-land some events were different. And that I had started my blog as I did in April of 2008.

Let’s say that on June 8, 2008 (Pentecost) Ron had honored his “If by Pentecost” declaration of March 29, 2008 and announced that, since the effects of the First Trumpet were not powerfully and abundantly clear, he was turning over that day’s church services to either of his evangelists Wayne Matthews or Johnny Harrell. Also that his replacement backed off from any prophetic declarations or characterizations of the Weinlands as the Witnesses.

And let’s say that by July 31, Ronald Weinland had declared that he was indeed a False Prophet, apologizing to the members of his church for misleading them, and announcing that he would be resigning as the head of “the Chuch of God, Inc.” by September 1, 2008 with his only official acts being those necessary to facilitate a smooth, legal transition to his successor.

If all of this alternative scenario had happened, I would still have started my blog in April of last year as I did. But my blogging would have tapered off in June of last year after he quit preaching. And by July I would have shut down my blog without publishing the photos of his $381,000 mansion on a golf course. Nor would I have publicized the existence of the IRS criminal investigation of Ronald Weinland. And if you think that’s “no big deal”, then google “IRS Criminal Investigation” and see how many other specific criminal investigations are mentioned at all, while Weinland’s is mentioned twice in the first 3 pages of results. Ron, you are truly a unique individual.

Ron, if your prophecies had been true, then I wouldn’t be blogging. Or if you had been true to your word, I wouldn’t be blogging either. Either way, Ron, it’s all your fault.

Ron Curses Moses

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

False Prophet Ronald Weinland has just posted an open letter on his blog to Moses Znaimer of ideaCity. Here is a copy of it:

———————————————————————————————————-

This is the letter I sent to Moses on the 21st of July:

Dear Moses,

It is with genuine gratitude that I want to thank you for the opportunity to have been a presenter at ideaCity. Long before the actual event, I was receiving very positive and helpful communication from your staff. Once my wife and I arrived in Toronto, we began to meet more of your staff members who were also exceptionally helpful, friendly, and enthusiastic. Then, on the first morning, we had the opportunity to meet even more staff members who continued with that same excellent helpfulness, care, and concern for our presence at the conference.

My purpose in writing to you is twofold. First, I wanted to thank you and your staff for making us feel so very welcome. Secondly, I must tell you why I could not return after the first morning of presentations.

The first few presenters were interesting, thought provoking, and they tied in well together, even with part of what I addressed in my presentation. Everything was fine to this point. I understand offering diverse thoughts and opinions, as with the gentleman who followed my presentation who espoused the belief, through intellectualism, that “God never wrote a book” and how he believed in the fallacy of what was written in scripture. As God’s prophet for this end-time, I know such ignorance is all too plentiful on earth. [Weinland is speaking of the ignorant Tom Harpur, author of "The Pagan Christ"]

However, a couple of presentations later, you gave the stage to a man who was “supposedly” a comedian, but sadly, the content of his message was so revolting, perverted and blasphemous that I found it incredulous that you would have given such recognition to something so hideous. For me, this is one of the most distasteful experiences I have ever had in my whole life. It is not my purpose to pass judgment on you, but to explain to you why I found this presentation so harmful to what I had believed was a more noble purpose for ideaCity. [Speaking of Rick Miller]

Perhaps you could try to put yourself in my shoes for just a moment. Indeed, as I said in my presentation, I do not expect you or that audience to believe I am God’s end-time prophet.

However, I would think that you might at least consider that I am very sincere about the warning I gave and that I have a deep conviction and passion about the message I delivered. Having said this, I would think that you might then understand that what I experienced (and hopefully, a few others might have experienced) was one of shock and dismay that ideaCity would allow such a presentation to be given. Tolerance and diversity do have their limits in life, even in this world.

There is no example I can give to reveal the magnitude of what this was like, but consider what it might be like if I had a brother, and he was one who was known for his tireless efforts to promote peace, give monetary aid, and influence the promotion of medical assistance to underdeveloped nations (due to his great wealth, political influence, and known humanitarianism). In time, my brother was murdered by terrorists and then drug through the city behind a jeep until only some few bones and flesh remained. Then, a few months later, ideaCity hosts a comedian who mocks the death of my brother while I am in the audience. Jesus Christ is my brother and you sponsored a comedian who mocked his death in front of me.

Out of conviction and conscience toward my brother and Father, I could not return in the afternoon, nor could I participate in anything further that would show any kind of support for ideaCity. To me, participation of any kind after that would have meant I was condoning what was presented.

Since I have no idea about your beliefs, I do want to say that the Eternal God, the God of Abraham, who I spoke about in my presentation, does not take this event lightly. This is not a small thing that such mocking of His Son was given audience at ideaCity and that you personally sponsored this. It is my hope that you come to see the magnitude of the severity of your decision for what occurred and that you will pursue God’s mercy in this matter because of what it will mean to you personally if you fail to do so.

Most sincerely,
Ronald Weinland

Ronnie doesn’t allow commenting on his blog. But I do, and this is your opportunity to comment on Ronnie’s fatwa.

Time Is Up

Saturday, July 18th, 2009

False Prophet Ronald Weinland was in San Jose today.  The attendance there was enhanced by people who traveled long distances to be there, as had a couple of the San Jose area who’d traveled to Los Angeles several weeks earlier.  Never pass up a chance to see the End-Time Witnesses doing their jobs live and in person.  Despite the extra attendance, Ron had to give his own closing prayer.

Ronald Weinland icSince this was another sermon devoid of prophecy, we’ll discuss Ronald’s appearance at ideaCity a month ago.  He started his presentation with a warning:

Some of the things I have to say are extremely controversial and I in no means want to offend anyone. But the things I have to say sometimes are taken that way.  And the message I have is not a pleasant one.  It is toward the end if you understand, but it isn’t toward the beginning.

And I do have great passion about what I’m going to be speaking about, indeed.  And I hope that you will take away from this meeting things that you hear today because I don’t expect you to believe what you’re going to be hearing at this point in time.  But there are things going to take place very shortly now where when they begin to take place, I hope that these things will come back into your mind, the things that you hear here today.

As I was going through the biographies of those who are going to be presenters here,  One of the things that struck me quickly was in the bio for myself, where it said that I am an “armageddon forecaster”  A forecaster is one who predicts events for the future. [Ron blathers about Daniel]

There hasn’t been a prophet come to the world for nearly 2000 years now.  But I am just that.  I don’t expect you to believe it, but I am an end-time prophet. And sent with a very strong message, one that I would even ask that at the end of this that you not applaud.  Because it’s not a thing to applaud, what I’m going to be telling you.

[Ron spends several minutes babbling about the Hubble telescopes, billions of light years, etc]

We are now in a period of time at the end of 6000 years, that God has given to mankind to rule himself. [Spends several minutes discussing empires, governments, etc]

God has an incredible plan for mankind and we are now at that time where he is going to reveal more of it to us.  We have already started a period of time called the great tribulation, or a time of tribulation on the earth.  It’s already begun, especially in the United States, and people don’t see it yet.  It’s a time referred to in both the old and the new testament as “time, times, and half a time”, 1260 days, 3 and ½ years.  And it’s marked by some horrific things that are going to take place.  Because billions are going to die.  It’s not a pleasant thing to think about.  It’s not a pleasant thing to think that could even happen.  But God is going to reveal and show to mankind once and for all that we cannot govern ourselves.

[Expounds on technology]  God gave technology….. billions are going to die

We are at a time,  the end time.  The next great thing to happen is going to take place is in port cities, in some port cities in the US there will be nukular weapons that go off. That will be the time for you to bring back into your memory and to your mind the things that you’re finding very hard to believe here today.  That’s called the 2nd trumpet, and the 7th seal has already been opened.  [I'm sure that explained things to everyone -- 2nd this and 7th that.]

The first trumpet is about a beginning demise in the United States and the economy of the United States.  [Ron should have read the book "2008 God's Final Witness" which states: "When we are told that a third of all plant life will be destroyed, that is exactly what it means."] And you in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, western Europe, most of the world frankly, in great ways are tied into the greenback, the dollar.  …. This is the end.  …. and if God didn’t intervene when it’s all said and done, we would destroy ourselves.  … And the stock market, one day it’s going to crash, finally.  … The United States is prophesied to be the first great nation to fall.  As I heard the song here today “Oh Canada”, I had to look down at the floor.  Because I know, I believe with all my being, I know what’s going to come to pass, and I know the outcome of Canada.  And it hurts.  It hurts.  [It's the economy, stupid.]

There’s coming a time very rapidly here, when we come up to a time that’s referred to as the 5th trumpet.   And Europe is prophesied for the 7th time to have a great revival, called the Holy Roman Empire.  The 6th was during the time of Mussolini and Hitler.   The seventh is quickly coming.   Same countries as a whole, same ones involved again: Germany.

[blathers about British Israelism] we’re brothers

Because God is going to use the same nation, Germany, who are the ancient Assyrians to do again what they did before.  There are going to be ten nations that are prophesied to arise out of Europe who are going to be given great power, once again, one last time, on the earth.  And they’re going to do it because they’re going to see the demise of the United States, a vacuum that takes place.  And they’re going to do it for different reasons than what Hitler did because they feel they have to do this in order to stop a great breakdown in all things taking place throughout Europe. So they’re prophesied to rise once again here, and do the things that they do and start WW III.

They do it again, because going back in time [blathers more about British Israelism, which was humorous to some.]

China and Russia and the far east, it says they have a year and a month and a day that they prepare to confront them.  And they begin to take their pieces in the world, in South America and Africa and other places.  … And they engage Europe.  And it says they’re going to destroy a third of all human life.

And that brings us up to the time of Armageddon a few months later down the road.   ….  And those nations instead of engaging in a nuclear war…   He intervenes on that last day, because they come together in an area called Megiddo, … a time called Armageddon, …. and he destroys all the armies that are there from Europe, all the armies from Asia, and so forth.  And also their governments and their countries. And finally the good news.  The one who is Messiah, the one who is called the Christ.  …. He takes control.  He is in charge of that great army that destroys all those that are come together in Megiddo.

Because Weinland had spent most of his 20 minutes blathering about billions of light years and British Israelism (listing the modern day nations of Israel more than once), he did not have time to explain the imposition of God’s kingdom and the wonderful world tomorrow.  Instead, he ended with “Time is Up”, leaving the good news as about yet more destruction.

This would be the largest live audience Weinland has spoken to at least since Feasts of Tabernacles during the glory days of WCG.  If you count people listening in via electronic connections, still larger (ideaCity also provided electronic connections, with video to boot.)  Unlike reports that Ron sits when speaking these days, he did stand but it was only 20 minutes. The audience was silent during his presentation, and despite his earlier request gave him polite applause despite what they were thinking, such as a twitterer who tweated:

ronald weinland at #ideacity09 is a nutjob. crazy buzzkill.

There might also have been some reaction the mike didn’t pick up.  According to an article on the site:

One man, who was convinced that sharks are the most misunderstood of all species, predicted that by 2048 our oceans will be lifeless. And then humans will begin to eat each other. But that was OK because another man proved that the Bible says the world will end on May 27, 2012. One wag actually cried out: “What time?”

One person whose time is not up is myself, still criticizing and mocking a false prophet 30 weeks after he cursed me with a speedy death.
