Snowmageddon Round 2?

Saturday, December 3rd, 2011

False Prophet Ronald Weinland spoke from the Urbana-Champaign Illinois area today.  The conditions in the meeting room were either too hot or too cold.

Could Covington, Kentucky receive the mother of all snow storms in February?  Ron said that he’s trying to arrange a trip to Toronto in February, but cautioned anyone coming in from out of town that they should check “the website” (his blog) for a cancellation.  As a reminder to the forgetful, Ron’s jury trial for criminal tax evasion is scheduled for January 31 in the federal court building in Covington, KY.  It’s estimated to last 7 days and from Ron’s latest log posting and this statement it appears that he’s estimating that his great team of lawyers and investigator are going to get him off.  If either estimation is incorrect, then there may be more travel cancellations “for snow” :-D

Ron cautioned against praying for the unconverted who are going through difficult times.  Those difficult times may be the Ron God’s will applying correction to bring the unconverted to repentance.  After all, if Ron’s upcoming trial doesn’t go well, he could need fresh meat with resources to pay tithes that Ron may need for all the fines, penalties, and back taxes that would come due.  Not to mention the bill from his great team of lawyers and investigator.

Ron referred to Jan 7, 1972 which was the end of Herbert Armstrong’s mythical 2nd 19-year time cycle.  Then Ron stated that Jan 7 of this year was the end of 6 cycles.  And 40 years later. Hmmm.  I had calculated that Jan 6, of 2010 was the end of the 2nd 19-year time cycle since the end of HWA’s 2 19-year time cycles, or the end of the 4th cycle.  So did two more 19-year time cycles happen between Jan 6, 2010 and Jan 7, 2011?  Must have, because Ron has the minor in math and is well practiced at figuring out timelines.  And was it 40 years between Jan 7, 1972 and Jan 7, 2011 as Ron states?  Must have been, because of Ron’s credentials at math and timelining.  OK, maybe he was referring to Jan 7 of next year.  A bit easier to squeeze two 19-year time cycles between Jan 6, 2010 and Jan 7, 2012.  But Ron is also well practiced at time compression, having compressed 3 & 1/2 years of Great Tribulation to now less than 6 months.  Wonder if his time-compressing powers will work as well should he be granted an extended vacation at Club Fed?

Trial of Cruel Mockings

Sunday, November 27th, 2011

False Prophet Ronald Weinland spoke from Cincinnati yesterday, only 4 weeks after the last time he stayed in his home area. This time however his sermon went out over the Internet “live” instead of being time delayed to the following week.  His senior elders Ralph Dowd and Steve Dalrymple gave the prayers.  Ron reiterated the travel itinerary posted on his blog for the next several weeks.

Ron spent a good part of the sermon reading from his blog.  First, he read some more from his blog posting of November 8 (two days before being indicted for 5 counts of criminal tax evasion) which he started reading from last week.  He also read from his blog posting made just a few hours before the sermon, and added little commentary to it.  The rest of his response to the indictment was implied by the portion of the sermon prior to and after the reading of yesterday’s blog post.  He talked about prophets in the past who were ignored, hated, ridiculed, slandered, and even tortured.  Spiritual beings have been stirred up since the feast, and so have haters.  PKG members have had it easy so far. He talked about Jeremiah being stoned.  Also about how Jesus Christ was ignored as a witness. Being a witness is not an easy task (but someone has to do it and that’s Ron and Laura).

Israel will not listen to God’s messenger, so the Great Tribulation will not be held back from striking the nation as a whole, but protection is available for a select few.  He told the “sealed” that it didn’t matter so much if they didn’t survive the soon to come shortened Great Tribulation since they would be resurrected next May.  He promised the “non-sealed” that they would survive to live into the new age.  He is pushing for membership, promising those listening in but who haven’t yet made a commitment that they could be saved.  Ron must be desperate as several years ago he mocked that attitude as people just wanting to save their hides.  Ron can’t understand why people have stopped running the race so close to the end.  People have been running the race for decades, chasing an ever-moving goal line.  The only difference this time is that we’ll get a little closer to the goal line before God’s True Representative moves it yet again.

Ron still plans to hold his elders conference in Florida on December 17.  Yet more planning for the rush of new members joining the church when things really really for-sure start happening tribulation-wise. During the run-up to the first Great Tribulation that was to begin in April of 2008, he distributed cards advertising his books to his members to be handed out to their family and acquaintances.  Maybe he’ll print up some more cards, as he told his members that they would soon be told to start proselytizing (when the Great Tribulation really really for-sure strikes this time).  One aside when reading the blog post about the indictment after mentioning bringing back the funds from the Swiss bank accounts for spending on Google advertising is that he has some money on reserve for more Google advertising when the Great Tribulation arrives.

Blogga Blogga

Saturday, November 19th, 2011

False Prophet Ronald Weinland spoke from Detroit before what he said was a packed hall with people traveling from surrounding states.  Perhaps they were curious about Ron’s legal situation.  Ron did not expound but got the closest to revealing the situation, saying that there is an indictment (no clear statement that it is a criminal indictment of him).  He stated he will have a posting on his website next week responding to the indictment.  In the meantime he is distracting them with plans for the ministerial conference and another wave of ordinations with a reserve list besides.  And maybe God will have yet more mercy and allow them to assemble for Passover.

He spent a good part of the sermon reading from his blog posting of Nov 8, then reading from various headlines and even played a YouTube clip. After he cited a long URL for the clip but you can just watch it here.

Ron’s YouTube clip

Ron suggested how he would spin the indictment in his upcoming blog posting, with part of the sermon talking about Stephen in the book of Acts being killed by Saul who later became Paul and wrote most of the New Testament.  Stephen was a witness, not a martyr. So maybe the IRS special agent who persecuted Ron and puts him away will go on to repent and become the next end-time witness.

Ron had words for his critics, who all have such evil hatred and are leading miserable unhappy lives having suffered Ron’s death curse and died on the inside as a result.  Not like ChaCha’s husband who has followed Ron and now is in a psychiatric hospital.   We are struggling to find things to twist and distort since all of Ron’s prophesies have come true and not a single one has failed.  Nonetheless the Internet allows anyone to have a stage and a “blogga-blogga”.  I’m happy to be serving a purpose Ron, but it ain’t what you claim.

Doing the ChaCha Slide

Saturday, November 12th, 2011

False Prophet Ronald Weinland is delivering his normally scheduled sermon from Bowling Green, with Curtis Fields delivering the open prayer.  He repeated his travel plans through December, and mentioned that he has plans for travel for the Days of Unleavened Bread.

When it comes to the criminal indictment of him on Thursday, he only alluded to it.  He said we’ll have to wait to hear more details.
Updated 11/13/2011 after listening to the sermon ————
Here is Ron’s statement regarding the indictment, around 22 minutes into the sermon recording:

And so we know that all things work together for them who love God. To them who are the called according to his purpose.   What an awesome thing as we have grown in the last few years more and more.   God is revealing to us more of His purpose in a deeper way, for the millennium. For the Great White Throne. For things that we haven’t been able to fully see that are going to be different in both periods of time. And why they’re different. That we see in greater way of why this end time has to happen in this way.  In ways that we couldn’t grasp in times past, that we see far more clearly. Far more powerfully the mind of God. That’s what it’s about. It’s learning about God and coming into unity with that. And not only being in unity but saying in essence: “Right on. Thank God you’re like that.” We’re learning, if you will, we’re coming in a deeper way to know God. That’s the part of the process of becoming at one with God

And so even things that are happening now, that so many of you have heard about this week that I can’t .. or won’t .. fully comment yet on today. Only in part. That I’m going to work on as far as some things to be said later on.  But everything works together for good. They’re not always fun to go through. But when you begin to see how God uses things for a positive purpose, in a way that has far greater impact in the way He does it, it is awesome. It is truly awesome how God works. And that’s what we have to always have to grasp and comprehend. …..

…. And I’ll just mention there. Just have a little patience And there are some out there today who’ll say “I’ve got to wait a little longer. Murmur, murmur.” Yeah, you’ve got to wait a little longer because there are some things that I’m not going to address yet today and you’ll understand why later on. Oh, you won’t understand, but the church will.

And later on, around 48 minutes into the recording:

And so we suffer through more.  And it’s not a lot of fun sometimes.  And it can feel like a knife ripping you apart inside, until you come back to grips with: all things work together for good.  Who can separate us from the love of God.  No one can.  God has a purpose in our lives.  Rather than defeating us, it makes us stronger.  Isn’t it amazing?  …….. Everything that’s happened since Atonement has worked to make me stronger.  It truly has.  I’m more convinced and more convicted of May the 27th 2012.  Something that just irritates the tar out of people.

So, the indictment is not Satan attacking the church — it’s God’s will.  Hmmm.  If a criminal indictment for tax evasion is God’s will, then why did Ron file suit back in July of 2008 to quash the IRS summonses for his financial records.  And why did Audra stand on vague notions of Fifth Amendment privilege to avoid answering questions about her daddy’s finances?  Will Audra be punished for trying to thwart God’s will?

The sermon included more of the mind twisting that began with the LGD sermon, how people had to resist the roaring lions by not stumbling and turning their back on them.  People are mocking and refusing to accept the two witnesses because one is a woman. I wonder who those are — there’s plenty to mock Ron for with the abject FAILING of everything he has pronounced.  But God is showing great mercy, as PKG survival rations are going bad from age as they’re not needed.  Maybe PKG will be blessed to be able to assemble to observe the spring holy days next March and April, as God can bring events on quickly.  And maybe he’ll enable all the associate elders in PKG to baptize millions in just a couple of weeks before Christ returns absolutely positively for sure on May the 27th two thousand and twelve.

—- Back to original post —————-

For now, I have other breaking developments.  ChaCha, who has been commenting here for several month, has reached her own important milestone.  Just before the sermon, she sent off her letter essentially resigning as a member of PKG.

ChaCha gave me her permission to share a copy of her letter, with appropriate redactions.  Here it is:

Hi ****,****, Terry,
I’ve been traveling back and forth to ________. ____[my husband] is still in the hospital.

He is improving slowly and they are going to try a new treatment.

As far as everything else goes in my life it is on hold. I will be honest and tell you that I am having a great deal of difficulty dealing with my husband being in a psychiatric hospital because he has lost all hope. He was convinced that god was gone and that he had no way back. He has convinced himself that he must be the world’s worst sinner and so I told him what would that make ME?

All of this talk of “overcoming human nature” and “thinking differently” is cult-speak as far as I can see.  I cannot continue to pretend I care or even believe anything that comes out of Ron’s mouth anymore. NOTHING that he has ever said has “come to pass” or it is all “spiritual”.  “Everything” in the 2008 book is supposed to come true “EXACTLY as written”. The funny thing is, he hasn’t told us the definition of “exactly”.

Yeah, yeah…the devil made me do it…I’m sure.  This is all a big test. I guess I’ll be counted among the ranks of those who left after the Feast.

I may listen to the sermon today, as I am interested to hear what Ron has to say, or if he will even speak today, since on Thursday he was indicted on 5 counts of tax evasion…

(yeah…his name is wrong in this link…but not in the indictment)

This story made me laugh when I read it…in light of the above.  www.theburningplatform.com/?p=24763  [story was forwarded to me by the elder directly over me]

I was going to “wait and see” with many others I am sure…but I am not going to live THIS lie any more.  _____ is in no shape to make a decision on anything. So, I do not know what he thinks of any of this. In time, he will decide for himself.

As far as I am concerned THIS is true freedom. I am out of this brainwashing, mind-controlling DANGEROUS cult.
See you at the lake of fire…last one in is a…”***********

Congratulations to ChaCha, and best wishes to her for the ongoing transition. And for her husband’s recovery from Ron’s toxic emissions from the back of the bull.

Being Sober-Minded

Sunday, November 6th, 2011

False Prophet Ronald Weinland’s sermon yesterday as last weekend’s was time-delayed.  Last weekend while we were listening to the sermon recorded in Hawaii two weeks ago along with Scott Cameron’s rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, Ron was delivering a sermon to the local faithful in Cincinnati.  So Ron wasn’t on a post-feast cruise last weekend, but maybe he is this weekend.  He has stopped discussing his vacations.

He continued his sermon series following up on his Last Great Day sermon, which he is using to have them practice for when he really-for-real admits that Christ is not returning next May.  Are they going to allow their relationship with the True Church and God’s Apostle to suffer?

For now Satan and his minions are all stirred up about their impending end and practicing spiritual warfare. But Ron still doesn’t know when the Great Tribulation is going to happen, and takes an extra suitcase with him when he travels, just in case.  Wonder what he puts in that suitcase — maybe the extra gold and jewelry he’s bought?  Some extra suits?    He’s advertised his availability to local market radio talk show hosts for interviews but it sounds like he’s had no nibbles yet.  For now Ron is not planning for a feast next year, but members are to continue to save their second tithe.  Maybe their cars will survive the Great Tribulation and they’ll be able to drive to the feast site.  Unless Ron demands that they send in their tithe.

Ron is having his ministerial conference the weekend of December 17 with the senior elders and evangelists to yet again prepare for the final push of new members who will join PKG when the Great Tribulation finally gets here as it must within the 202 days remaining before Pentecost.  He does promise a change of direction coming out of the ministerial conference, maybe that’s when he’ll officially cancel the date.

—— Update Nov 7 ——————————-

Commenter “Doubt It” was kind enough to transcribe a portion of Ron’s sermon, I’m including it here in the main post as well:

Because this is what we’re talking about when we talk about stumbling.

It has to do with what we’re shown.  It has to do with the truth and sometimes it means we don’t always understand it.  Sometimes we may not have the full picture yet.  Sometimes we don’t see everything.  But we had better have a strong enough record, like the disciples did, by this point.  They knew who he was.  That they weren’t going to leave.  And though they didn’t understand it yet, they were willing to wait until they did.  And that’s the mind we must have as God’s people.  Even for a date, big deal.  We know this is God’s church.

But again I know why these things are before us and why they are being addressed.  Because it’s introspection.  It’s so that we can become stronger.  It’s so that we can be better prepared for what’s ahead.  We’re not there yet.  Thank God.  He’s had such mercy upon us.  And that we have this opportunity to still come together like this for everybody to hear Sabbath, by Sabbath, by Sabbath because you know what it’s not going to come until were to the point that God has prepared us to be fully readied.  That’s what’s exciting, inspiring to understand.

A sample of Ron getting PKG ready for the official acknowledgement that Christ is not returning next May.

Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Sunday, October 30th, 2011

False Prophet Ronald Weinland may be on a post-feast cruise.  His sermon posted on the website for this weekend was recorded last week in a hotel room in Hawaii.  Not a conference room, but in Ron’s suite.  The end of the sermon was interrupted several times and cut short as the hotel wanted Ron to check out and give their room back.

Ron gave a few announcements. The ministerial meeting is now to be on December 17 at an undisclosed location with all the evangelists and senior elders.  The ranks of which have increased with the promotion of Leonard McGlynn in Canada to senior elder.  Took Ron 11 months to break his word of last November that the ordination of Mitch Williams to senior elder was the last.

The sermon topic continued from his Last Great Day sermon two days earlier in which he describes what he eventually near the end of that sermon characterized as a visit from Satan.  It seemed that many members took his statement near the beginning of the sermon as a clear statement by Ron admitting that Christ would not return next May, after which they “shut down” and didn’t get the end of the sermon where he took it all back.  Some members were panicked by this.  Yet others showed total resolve, as Ron read a couple of emails from members who stated they had confidence and would continue to follow Ron even if Christ doesn’t return.

Ron did more manipulation, warning that members should not lean to their own understanding but should rely on Ron.  (Pssst!! If you’re questioning Ron, you have better understanding than he does.)  Citing the example of a lion tamer mauled by his charges after stumbling in the cage, he warned his members not to stumble.  He mocked those who have left over Ron’s failings as actually using that as an excuse to leave for other reasons such as sex.  But Ron is disfellowshipping a member who had the audacity to recommend the book of Enoch to another member.  Ron’s solution to members being attacked by spirit beings/logical thinking was to listen to the hymns (available on the PKG website).

Ron also used the sermon to set up for a further delay of the great tribulation.  Referring to the last hour which could be 60 days, Europe might not arise to until that time, at the end of March next year.  Since the event might be the passing of a law or something initially more benign than “nukes”, Ron may conduct Passover in Australia again next year.  What happened to the five months of torment?  What will motivate millions to join PKG before Christ returns?

The most appropriate part of the service happened before the sermon, as his brother-in-law from Colby in western Kansas, Scott Cameron (who has his own Country and Western band), played a song on a ukelele just before the sermon.  Keep marching folks, someday maybe you’ll reach the other side of the rainbow.

What Was in That Peppermint Tea?

The last Feast of Tabernacles before Christ doesn’t return is over.  False Prophet Ronald Weinland and the Silent Witness and Prophet(ess) Laura Weinland are in Hawaii this weekend.  Because of the time zone differences, he won’t be delivering a live sermon this week so Wayne Matthews has a recorded sermon on the PKG website.  But before I discuss that, I want to recap Weinland’s Last Great Day sermon:  my last post was basically a live blog and I’ve seen listened to the sermon again and have a few more details and commentary.

In his Last Great Day sermon, Ron asked his followers if they were ready for a declaration from God.  During the night of Atonement, Ron couldn’t sleep and as in times past thoughts came into his mind.  The first thought: Christ is not returning on May 27, 2012.  The second thought: Ron had not started his job as witness, that he needed to be humbled by this failure and his job would actually start on the day that Christ doesn’t return.  Ron woke Laura up and they had a discussion.  As before when Ron had doubts, I imagine that Laura argued against those thoughts.  Ron said he would continue to believe in certain things even if he was by himself.

Ron asked his members where they would go if they didn’t follow him.  He asked where they would get the “truth” and cited a number of post-Armstrong “truths” that he came up with.  Including truth #46 which he also said came to him in a thought in the middle of the night.  While he has said a lot, and it hasn’t all come to pass such as Europe arising no later than August of this year as prophesied in his 2009 LGD sermon, he still believes everything written in his books.  He went on to say that he still believed sn all 57 truths with all his being, and believes even more firmly that Christ will return next Pentecost.  And that these two thoughts were put into his mind by Satan, as Satan also tempted Christ while he was fasting.

Weinland set things up with more wiggle room, talking about the 5 months of torment from Rev 9:5.  According to him, it could progressively build up with the anguish building over 5 months.  This gives him more wiggle room past January, 5 months before Pentecost.  Ron said that some in PKG would not be with him at the next feast, that not all would make it to the promised land.

In Matthews’ sermon today,  Wayne announced that he would be in Orlando on November 26th with Weinland.  This is probably right before the ministerial conference with the evangelists and senior elders Weinland said would happen in December.  When he also may be conducting some radio interviews, which hasn’t happened since the first half of 2009.

Wayne acknowledged (consistent with another report) that the PKG members were shaken by Ron’s LGD sermon.  It was a challenge to the mind.  He stated that if the date had changed, it should make no difference as they were in it for that way of life.  He likened them to sheep, asking them to think it through: “Are we going to follow no matter where the shepherd leads us to?”  Another zinger from Wayne, as he talked about a PKG member converted to spirit being watching a family member go through the second death in the lake of fire after the millennium and the following century.  There should be no sadness for the event, as the family member chose their fate and it would be more merciful than living with a twisted distorted mind.

So.  How do we know that it was Satan who came to Ron in the middle of the night of Atonement, when Ron was weakened by his fast of less than 12 hours?  And not God who came to him the same way to deliver the 46th “truth” into Ron’s mind?  I imagine that Laura has a great deal to do with that “clarification”.  PKG members have been shaken by this trial balloon and are working their way though the emotions of the thought without having to deal with it fully.  They are sheep, and will continue to follow Ron no matter how he plays his cards as his prophesies fail.  They think they are following God, and they are — a god anyway, Ron’s god who is ….. Ron himself.

Moving the Goal Post

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011

Listening to False Prophet Ronald Weinland’s LGD sermon as I type this.  So what I’m typing will probably be revised as the sermon continues and I get a chance to review.  Read all the way through before reaching a conclusion.

Ronnie had an epiphany the night of Atonement while in Australia.  Sounds like he’s getting PKG ready for Christ to not return on Pentecost.  Instead, that will be the real beginning of Ron’s wearing sackcloth and starting to prophesy.  Look for Christ’s return in the fall of 2015.

Still put as a “what if?” right now — what would you do? Where would you go?  No other place has Ron’s “truths” that he invented from his own twisting of the Bible to fit what happened in Armstrongism.  And don’t forget the ordination of women.  God expects you to remain faithful.

But Ron insists he believes all 57 “truths”.  Now he’s making it sound like the epiphany was actually an attack from Satan, just as Jesus was tempted while fasting.  And that he believes more strongly that Christ returns next Pentecost.

But if he’s really wrong about Christ’s return, he would still believe the rest of it.  And feel for all his followers who suffer, and mourn the ones who will leave him.  There will be some who won’t be with him during the next feast.  But wait, he thinks he’s going to be a spirit being.  Guess they won’t be with him.

Ron is planning to have another elders conference with evangelists and senior elders in December.  Also is planning to put himself out for radio interviews in December.  PKG is marching forward.

Will listen to the sermon again tomorrow and add more thoughts.
