Yesterday, False Prophet Ronald Weinland posted part 1 of the 6th chapter of his 3rd book of fantasy.  This chapter is the carrot he’s been dangling in front of his followers, that he had to rewrite several times.  As usual it has some bold lies.  He states that Pentecost of 2012 was the first date given PKG for Christ’s return and that they believed that to be the date for the four years prior.  There are two things wrong with that:

(1) the Pentecost 2012 date was declared to PKG in Weinland’s sermon of June 28, 2008.  That was less than 4 years, though some would argue that he just rounded it up and the way he phrased it doesn’t mean that. Won’t make much hash of that point. But the next point:

(2) This was not the first date given PKG.  The first date given was Trumpets of 2011.  PKG believed that to be the date until Ron withdrew it in his sermon of June 21, 2008.  Which was within the 4 years prior to Pentecost of 2012.  And if you want to claim authority for Herbert Armstrong, you would have to include those dates: the vague ones and the specific one of Trumpets 1975.

Also, God did not decide until the middle of 2008 whether Christ’s return would be on Pentecost of 2012 or on Pentecost of 2019.  It was the middle of 2008, actually the week following his announcement of the Pentecost of 2012 date, when he got a knock on his door by the IRS special agent investigating his tax crimes.  God didn’t let Ron in on the change of plans until he was serving his prison sentence after being convicted for those crimes.

At the end of this first part posted on his blog, Weinland states that “Any period of time can be represented as a “prophetic day,” “.   He’s had several prophetic days of different lengths, and I expect more to come.
