Release of Spokesman Witness From Prison

Wednesday, February 17th, 2016

Today is False Prophet Ronald Weinland’s scheduled release from prison, with time off for good behavior. Too bad that false prophecies don’t count as bad behavior, but in this country you can get away with about anything so long as you call it religion and remember to pay your taxes. I imagine that Joel Osteen faithfully pays the taxes on his humble parsonage.

weinland_releasedUnder the terms of Ron’s sentencing order, he now begins 3 years of “Supervised Release” which is essentially probation. He has to report to his probation officer who can decide whether or not Ron is allowed to leave the judicial district (federal court’s Eastern District of Kentucky). From a statement in a recent sermon, he will at least be allowed to travel across the Ohio River to Cincinnati to conduct the feast there this fall. As he was allowed to travel internationally during the period between his indictment and his trial, I expect that will eventually be allowed as well. That may depend on whether or not he’s met the Special Conditions of Supervision included in his sentencing order, such as keeping up with the payments on the $245,176 fine and refiling accurate tax returns for all tax years beginning in 2004.

Of course he’ll be able to dispense with all those restrictions, once he gets his full Witness powers and can breathe fire on the probation officer.

Ron has been in a halfway house since December. He has been allowed to deliver sermons live and in person to his church members. I imagine that he was allowed to wear the Nordstrom’s $1700 suit that he wore to trial and was not required to wear a lime-green jump suit. I don’t know whether conjugal visits were allowed while in the halfway house, but now that he’s released he can give Laura a stiffie for her birthday. Happy 60th birthday, Laura.
