La-La Land

Sunday, July 28th, 2013

Johnny Harrell, Myrtle, Laura, and Audra traveled to London so Johnny could ramble for a couple of hours.  Elders Yvorra and Milne delivered the prayer.

God has given PKG members so much, with two sermons per week.  One of them starts out between the ears of False Prophet Ronald Weinland who is currently within the confines of the Terre Haute Federal Correction Institution, and has an intermediate stage at the point of a #2 pencil before ending up on Weinland’s blog.  I doubt that the WordPress development team had the notion that their software would be used to weekly deliver progressive truth from God.

Johnny speculated that Ron would be put in prison indefinitely if he claimed to hear God from a burning bush.  Not sure how that is any different from the thoughts that God supposedly puts in his mind.  But Ron is not imprisoned for his silly religiosity.  In speaking with two of the jurors, they made little mention of religious issues.

Johnny made one point with which I fully concur: that ex-PKG members lost faith that God is leading PKG.  I expect that more will lose faith in the next 2 1/2 years before Ron is released from prison, but that enough members will remain to support Ron and Laura in their declining years and Audra and Jeremy as well.

False Prophet Ronald Weinland is still wearing out #2 pencils in prison.

Two Ways of Life

In the beginning, the story of what happened to Adam and Eve actually reveals the most fundamental flaw in human life, which comes down to the choice of two ways of life – obedience or disobedience to God. This in turn is a matter of two ways of “thinking.” This example in the Garden of Eden is simplified by illustrating this choice by the partaking of one of two trees, and choices are formed by how one thinks.

God knew what Adam and Eve would eventually do, and as always Satan was right there to speed along the process. God provided all the physical food that Adam and Eve could choose to eat. The two trees in the midst of the garden symbolized the great lesson in life that mankind must come to learn. One tree was called the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God told them not to partake of that tree, for in doing so they would die.

When God told them they would die, He wasn’t referring to an instant death, nor was it about an eventual physical death, which is simply a part of the physical body aging, wearing down, and then dying. Instead, it was about the consequences of sin – death with no more life ever again. God states the same thing in Ezekiel 18 when He says that the soul (living person) that sins shall die. He is not saying one who sins will simply grow old and die, but if you don’t sin that you will keep living. The apostle Paul explained that “it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Heb. 9:27). Every person’s physical body will cease to exist, but after this there are resurrections to life – some into age-lasting spirit life and others into a second physical life.

Death that results from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is about sin and penalty of eternal death. This tree is about a basic choice in life, which is the one Adam and Eve made as a result of “their own” thinking. They elevated “their thinking” to that which is god-like. That is why this kind of thinking is also referred to in scripture as adultery (spiritual) and idolatry (spiritual). The reason is because this kind of thinking “leaves a faithful relationship” with God to do something (adultery) that defiles that relationship and disobeys the laws of God. It is about making a choice in life that contradicts (disobeys) God’s instruction of the one and only true way of life to be lived – His righteous way of life.

Adam and Eve chose to partake (eat) of a way that God had instructed them they should not partake of because He knew the bad result it would produce in their life; therefore, He warned them against it, just as any parent would do. He was revealing that it would hurt and lead to death, which is worse than just dying physically. Sin infects the mind and leads to spiritual sickness. It distorts the thinking process and pollutes soundness of mind. Sin is the choice to disobey God – to ignore God’s instruction of how to live life that produces all that is good. It is idolatry (against God), for it “raises up” one’s own thinking of doing things different from what God has given.

Once Adam and Eve sinned by making a choice that it was good, in their own eyes (their own choices and reasoning), to partake of what God said they should not, they polluted their own minds – their reasoning. They distorted their thinking and their mind became infected spiritually. God then removed them from the garden and cut off their access to the tree of life – access to God’s continuing education, spirit, and personal relationship with Him. God made a comparison of their sin, explaining that they made themselves “as God” when they began to decide for themselves what was right and wrong in life, instead of looking to Him who alone can reveal the truth of such things.

All mankind (except Jesus Christ) has followed the same path ever since – deciding for themselves what is right and what is wrong. The more the world has grown in population, and now with the addition of great technology, the greater the confusion has multiplied exponentially (massive Babylon) in all aspects of life. This overflowing level of confusion has produced all the different, opposing, and oppressive governments (spiritual Assyria) of the world, and their sins and confusion are exemplified by the disunity of the un-United Nations. This kind of thinking has also produced massive confusion in all aspects of religious ideas and practices where everyone believes (reasons, decides, and judges) that “their way” (of belief) is good and right and all others are not – not like theirs.

All such confusion in life is the “fruit” of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This thinking produces “curses in life” simply because they are the wrong choices from wrong thinking that produces bad fruit. That is why God told Israel over and over to make what would seem to be a simple choice – to choose life or death – blessings or cursings. Choosing God’s way produces blessings and leads to age-lasting life. Choosing to “decide our own ways” of what is right and wrong will produce “curses” in life and lead to eternal death. It is really that basic and that simple, but it requires access to God’s spirit and the access of God’s mind being opened to us to see it. Yet there are many (once called and having received of God’s spirit into their life) who have gone astray in this age because they have forgotten the basis by which such a mind (God’s mind) can continue in us. It is by always rejecting the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and always yielding to the desire and choice of partaking of the tree of life.

Satan’s Influence on Family
This matter of turning against God’s one true way of life and one “true way of thinking” (in unity with God’s word – revelatory thought – thinking) began with Satan, who was first created as Lucifer (light bringer). Once he began thinking (choosing and deciding) against God, he polluted his spirit mind. God says of him in Ezekiel 28 that he had been created perfect in “all his ways” (that were fully in unity and harmony with God) until sin (opposition to God’s way) was manifest in him. Satan was then cast out of the mountain of God – away from God’s government, away from the progressive revelations and teaching from God, and away from a continuing relationship with God. This is just as Adam and Eve were cast out of the Garden of Eden and separated from an ongoing relationship with God.

Lucifer was created with a spirit-mind, and once “that kind of mind” turns in thinking against God, it will not (cannot) return to its previous state, as it is spirit in composition. Once it decides (chooses) to think differently from God, that mind is set to always think differently. Such a spirit-mind that is set against God has no desire, nor ever will, to return to God’s way.

Mankind is created differently. Our mind is of a physical composition with an essence of spirit life in it that gives us the ability to think, reason, and remember, but such a mind can be changed in thinking (transformed) after sin and pollution has entered into it. This can only be accomplished by God’s spirit working in the mind on a continual basis by one’s own desire and choice for such a transformation to be accomplished in themselves. Any person having human life who chooses sin as “their way of thinking” and refuses to repent cannot be changed by God’s spirit. In time, the merciful thing for such a mind (living being) is that it ceases to exist – eternal death – never to have life again.

Once Lucifer chose to “think differently” from God’s way, God said to him, “You have corrupted (polluted, destroyed) your wisdom” – the mind and thinking God gave to him in the beginning (Ez. 28:17). God also revealed His merciful conclusion to such thinking of Satan once he has fulfilled the complete purpose of his part in the aiding of the creation of Elohim. The very thing that had been the basis for the reason Satan rebelled is the very thing that “his ways” have helped to serve in creating: God’s Family. Once God’s Family is well set and the purpose of Satan’s continuing existence has ended, God states to him, “I will destroy you,” and “I will bring you to ashes upon the earth,” and “never will you be (exist) any more” (vs. 16, 18-19).

Lucifer began the process of the destruction of much of God’s angelic family once he turned “in thinking” away from God’s one true way of life. Satan became jealous upon learning of God’s plan and purpose for the creation of Elohim. From the beginning, when God began to work with mankind, Satan quickly struck out by turning the first two humans to “their own thinking” and away from God’s. This sin of Adam and Eve brought automatic curses to human life, which are the fruits of disobedience to God. Blessings in life are the fruits of obedience. It is just that basic and just that simple. It is the “plain truth.”

Blessings and Cursings
This brings us full circle back to the beginning of human life and the structure of the family. After sin entered into the life of the first married couple (the first two parents), curses of human life entered into the human family. As it was stated in the beginning, after they were created, Adam and Eve were not left to themselves to have to figure out (decide for themselves) how to live. Their Creator educated them, taught and instructed them how to live life. Yet they chose to be “left to themselves” to figure out how “they wanted” (preferred) to live their lives. Basic human nature does not like anyone telling it how to live or how to do things. This is evident throughout life. It is a common problem in the work place where employees resist instruction and direction from their superiors. It is often common in children and their response to parents and teachers.

This attitude actually permeates all life. It exists in the classroom, community, government, businesses, home, and pretty much everywhere two or more people are together. People choose to govern their own life in their own way. Above all, they do not want an ultimate authority in their life – they do not want God to govern their life: “The carnal mind (thinking, judging, deciding all matters from one’s own reasoning) is enmity against God (an enemy, one that works and fights against God), for it is not subject to the law (way, truth, mind) of God and neither indeed can be” (Rom. 8:7). People do not want to answer to anyone! We want things our own way. Such is the struggle of life. Such is the struggle in marriage and family until individuals begin to see the true freedoms, peace, and joy that can come through seeking God’s ways to govern their life, rather than themselves thinking they know best or someone else knows better (wrong influences).

The blessings in life are the fruit of obedience to God’s laws and way of life. They can come in no other way. The more of God’s way that one lives, the more their life is blessed. There are laws in motion that produce blessings when obeyed and curses when disobeyed; therefore, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s way they brought upon themselves curses in life. They were then forbidden to receive the continual supply of spiritual guidance they had before they sinned. These curses began to put stress and division upon the family – the very first family – and upon all that have followed since.

Although God calls His Church out of this world, all still live in it and suffer in it until the time of the restitution of all things – in the Millennium – when blessings can begin to be poured out because of a rapid growing worldwide obedience to God. We still suffer as a result of our sins, both past (though forgiven, the mind often carries long lasting penalties because of damage done to it) and present. At the same time, however, we are growing spiritually and learning to overcome (conquer) the world (world’s ways) as we come into greater oneness (unity and harmony) with God’s way. Our mind is being healed spiritually as we are learning to “think differently,” learning to “think right.” As we do, our relationships in life become more blessed (fruitful) and we grow in experiencing greater joy, fullness, and excitement for life and in sharing life with others who are themselves growing in the same manner. That which is of a spiritual relationship is next to impossible to share with others except that we live and give God’s way of life toward them, which often can produce a good result back, but because of human nature it generally doesn’t go far. This vast difference is often experienced when a family member no longer continues in fellowship with God and that in turn minimizes what can then be shared from that point forward. The spiritual aspect of the relationship ceases and all that follows is purely physical. These things obviously have great impact on marriage and family.

We are suffering more in this world that is against God (at enmity against God) because of the affects of the curses of disobedience that are so great and growing so fast at this time. All suffering should not be attributed to Satan, but to the sick system of Babylon he created. This world is not blessed and the blessings God did give to the scattered nations of Israel over the past several decades at the end-time, because of His promise to do so, have been fully removed as of 2008. Western Europe, Israel, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States have plummeted into a quagmire of curses in life and in living that are multiplying at an incredible pace. As a result of this process of highly accelerated sins and curses in the world around us, God’s people are suffering right along with it, but even more so because we are fighting against it. However, we are also being blessed more than ever in God’s Church with that which is spiritual, in growing in unity and agreement with God – our minds being transformed more quickly than ever. Such conditions lend themselves to such potential spiritually.

So while the world is accelerating in experiencing curses of life due to accelerating sin in life, in large part with the aid of modern technology, God’s Church is being blessed to accelerate in spiritual growth and strength through the transformation of the mind being restored to a right unity with God. This process during this stage of technology and escalation of sin around us can be somewhat of a quandary for some. It can become more difficult for a person to separate and make a distinction between the experience of suffering due to rapidly multiplying curses and resulting stresses that are in the world around us and the spiritual struggle of experiencing a more rapid transformation that God can utilize more powerfully in our creation process. Such times as these lend themselves to such opportunities to make great strides and changes spiritually – in the mind – in our thinking, but it is not an easy experience. The more we experience this, the more prone we can become to becoming spiritually weary, and so the task before us at this time – just before Christ’s return – is to “keep at the task before us!” This is the time to strengthen family and draw closer together as family – in physical family where we can, and especially in the spiritual family.

The stresses in this world are rapidly accelerating and multiplying at a horrendous pace. This is the time to press forward as never before. This is not the time to let up, let down, or become weary of fighting this fight, nor is it the time to let any doubt begin to creep in because of how worn out we can begin to feel and due to the stresses that hang on and even often grow – if we allow that to happen. Such must be battled against – on a spiritual plane. Our focus must be more on God and His power to deliver us – in faith – and not relying of self.

Understanding what happened to Adam and Eve, how and why it happened, will help us embrace more fully what God is starting to restore in family, as He brings “the family” out of bondage. It is beginning with us!

Winston Smith’s Ministry of Truth

Sunday, July 21st, 2013

Wayne Matthews gave part two of his Attitudes sermon series.  Wayne does not see the irony when he chuckled about the stupidity of rain dances.  The reality is that rain dances have a greater success rate than Ronald Weinland’s prophecies.

Some editing is necessary on the PKG website.  The following is how the “50th Truth” appeared on the PKG website about 2 months ago.  I am highlighting later portions in the truth which have been significantly revised since then.

————————————

The 50th Truth

This truth concerns the revelation given by God of the actual timing that leads up to the return of Jesus Christ. The Church of God has long believed that Jesus would return as the King of kings on the Feast of Trumpets. This is not true! God has reserved this revelation, for this very end-time, to be revealed just prior to the actual date that serves as an announcement for the coming of His Son to reign over all the earth.

God could have revealed this truth at any time, and it has always been solely within His own power and prerogative to do so whenever He chose. God had given the Church most of the understanding concerning the meaning of the Feast of Trumpets, but not all. God has now given the Church to understand some of those reasons why He has chosen to reveal this great truth just before Trumpets of 2008.

1) This is part of a continuing process to make a distinction in the Church (the actual physical organization where the spiritual body of the Church is being nurtured and led through whom God is working) and all other organizations who were scattered from the Church (where God is no longer working).

2) This was reserved until now because there is a continuing spiritual battle against Satan and his demons. Satan and the demons know their time of reign is nearly over and then they will be removed from the presence of mankind for 1,000 years, but they have not fully known what that exact timing involved. God is about to expose Satan and the demon world for the true evil they are.

3) God is also going to reveal the perverted attitude and spirit of all who mock Him, His Church, and His servants. Those who scoff, criticize, ridicule, and mock God’s Church have used the occasion of this revelation to find fault with God’s Church for changing doctrine (as they see it) and timing in order to better suit their own false needs. Such critics foolishly and unwittingly put themselves in a position of judging God. The very thing they mock is the very thing that will end up being used to mock them. God is revealing the kind of hatred that has existed in the hearts of men and women toward Him and His people for nearly 6,000 years now.

4) As part of a direct relationship to the previous point, this very thing that scoffers and mockers try to use to discredit God’s end-time prophet and two witnesses is one of the very things that God will use (in a far greater way) to prove who it is through whom He is working. In reality, the fulfillment of the 50th Truth will be great evidence of God’s true servants and the events that reveal the fulfilling of this truth will put mockers and scoffers to shame.

The Feast of Trumpets has long been understood to be plural (a blowing of trumpets) and not the blowing of a singular trumpet, all of which announce and work to lead closer to the fulfillment of Christ’s return as King of kings. God has reserved the Feast of Trumpets of 2008 to be the day that is the time for the official announcement to His people that the long awaited final countdown for Jesus Christ’s coming is now at hand.

The Revelation of the Timing
There is great significance and meaning contained in the unique timing of the Feast of Trumpets in 2008. The first significant timing is contained in 2 Thessalonians 2 and is learned from end-time prophecy involving the physical leader over the Church on earth, who would betray Jesus Christ. The revelation of this man would reveal to the Church that the end-time had now come and that the First Seal of Revelation had been opened. This man who would betray God’s government would be known as “the man of sin” and “the son of perdition.” As covered in the Church’s literature and in sermons, God revealed who this man was by a judgment of death that was contained in this revelation. That judgment was revealed through the number 40 (used as God’s judgment) times the seven-day week. It was exactly 280 days from the time of this man’s betrayal to the time he died. When Joe Tkach, Sr. gave a sermon denouncing the most basic laws of God, it was exactly 280 days later to the hour that he died. This timing was God’s revelation of who the son of perdition and this man of sin was.

As a result of that revelation, God has revealed that He is using this same period of judgment to reveal the coming end to the reign of the original son of perdition—Satan. Angels are also referred to as “the sons of God” in a spiritual creation. Satan (as Lucifer) betrayed God and led a third of the angels (now demons) with him in His rebellion against God. God has a plan that includes the removal of Satan and his influence from the earth. At the return of Jesus Christ, Satan and the demons will be imprisoned for 1,000 years and kept from the presence of God and mankind during that season.

{This paragraph was heavily revised.}The revelation for this timing is very much about the Feast of Trumpets of 2008. This is the date that the complete sealing of all 144,000 will have been accomplished. The very thing that Satan hates most about God’s plan is the Family of God—Elohim. The first of that family, from among the families of mankind, is composed of this 144,000 who have been redeemed from the earth and will come with Jesus Christ when He returns to this earth.

The timing for the first phase of Satan’s judgment (to be removed from his reign on earth) is revealed by the very countdown that announces the one who will remove him (Satan) from power and take over the reign over all the earth—Jesus Christ. This timing is about one day—the Feast of Trumpets of 2008. Following quickly behind this is the opening of the Seventh and final Seal of Revelation and then the blowing of the First Trumpet, with six more to follow, all of which will lead up to the final blowing of the Seventh Trumpet on the very day Jesus Christ returns as King of kings.

The same time period of judgment used to reveal the son of perdition to God’s Church (280 days) is the same time period used by God to reveal the final countdown of Satan’s final reign on earth. The one single day of the year that Satan has used most to glorify himself in false deception is the false religious holiday of Christmas. From Christmas of 2007 to the day of the Feast of Trumpets in 2008 is exactly 280 days (40 x 7). This announces the coming end to the reign of Satan who was the original son of perdition.

{The new version of this paragraph has added text} The Feast of Trumpets of 2008 was the day for the final sealing for all who will be in the count of the 144,000 who will come with Jesus Christ to set up the reign of the Kingdom of God on earth. The 144,000 will reign with Jesus Christ, and the reign of Satan will no longer exist over this earth. This final time until the establishment of the Kingdom of God is recorded in Daniel: “Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the thousand three hundred and thirty fifth day.”

At the end of the 1335 days, the 144,000 are indeed blessed, as God begins to make His people to stand in that “day” that follows. For 6,000 years those who have been called to be among the 144,000 have suffered mightily at the hands of mankind. Now, on this final “day” God will intervene in the affairs of all mankind to deliver recompense, retribution, and vindication for the sake of all His people who have suffered throughout time.

The “day” following the 1335 days of Daniels prophecy is a “prophetic day” that is an actual year in length and referred to throughout prophecy as the “Day of the Lord,” which is called the “year of recompense (retribution)” and the “year of vindication.” It is indeed a powerful blessing that is fulfilled on the final day of this prophetic “Day of the Lord.” At this time, all 144,000 will be resurrected as spirit into the Family of God—Elohim and will reign with Jesus Christ for 1,000 years. It is on this final day of the “Day of the Lord” that Jesus Christ will return with the 144,000 who have been resurrected into the God Family.

The “Day of the Lord” focuses on the fulfillment of the firstfruits in God’s plan. It centers around the very holy day that pictures those firstfruits, as this “year of recompense” began on Pentecost 2012 and will be fully completed on Pentecost 2013. It is on that final day that the 144,000 will be resurrected and Jesus Christ will return as King of kings. God’s plan and timing for the revelation of His plan are indeed beautiful and powerful! The glory and the honor is to God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

(For more understanding of the timing of Christ’s return and the final “prophetic day” that is an actual year in length, see the “Topic” section of the FAQ under the topic, “Christ’ Return – Timing.”)

——————————-

The revelation for this timing is very much about the Feast of Trumpets 2008. This is the date that the last stage for the final sealing of the 144,000 began, which was completed 1335 days later on Pentecost of 2012 (May 27, 2012). The very thing that Satan hates most about God’s plan is the Family of God –Elohim. After Jesus Christ, the first large group to enter Elohim are these “firstfuits” who are composed of the 144,000 who have been redeemed from the earth over 6,000 years.

The Feast of Trumpets 2008 was the day for the beginning of the final sealing for those who would also be included in the final count of the 144,000 who will come with Jesus Christ to set up His reign in the Kingdom of God on earth. The 144,000 will reign with Jesus Christ, and the reign of Satan over mankind will no longer exist.

This process of sealing all those remaining who would be added in order to fulfill the complete count of the 144,000 began on Trumpets 2008, and it was completed by Pentecost 2012, which the Church had earlier believed would also be the day of Christ’s return. However, God has revealed that there are two prophetic “Days of the Eternal” that must first be fulfilled. One of those prophetic days (an actual year in length) began on Pentecost 2012 and ended on Pentecost 2013 (May 19, 2013). This first prophetic day concerned God’s Church and God’s time to avenge His Church for the “cause of Zion.” God has not yet revealed the specific time for the second and last prophetic “Day of the Lord,” which is about the time in which God will execute His final judgment upon mankind before His Son returns. That “prophetic day” will be the period in which the physical manifestation of all Seven Trumpets will occur, with Christ and the firstfruits returning on the last day of that “prophetic day.”

During the period of that final sealing of the 144,000, some were sealed on that first day of Trumpets 2008, while others were sealed throughout the following 1335 days, including the last day. During that period of time, and into the period of final witness (the 1260 days of God’s final witness), some were yet tried and tested to determine the final individuals who were yet to be added to this specific count of those who will reign with Jesus Christ.

Throughout this period of time, as individuals were tried and tested, some were sealed while others were judged that they should continue living (a physical life) on into the Millennium. Yet a few others (because of those trials and their response to God as a result) were judged that they should not live into the Millennium, but will be among the 7,000 (referred to in Revelation) whom God has recorded by name as those who will not enter that new age.

This period of 1335 days of the final sealing of the 144,000 is recorded in Daniel: “Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the thousand three hundred and thirty fifth day.” At the end of the 1335 days, the 144,000 are indeed blessed, as all of them will be resurrected, and those yet living changed, to immortal spirit life in the God Family–Elohim–at Christ’s return. All 144,000 have now been sealed, which means that God’s government has now been fully made ready to reign with Christ.

(For more information on the timing of Christ’s return, see the article on this same “Publications” page entitled, “An Extraordinary 4 1/2 Years.”)

Following is how the last part of the article appears today, with highlighting of some of the edited parts.

Ron needs to also revise his book “2008 — God’s Final Witness”.  Here’s a spot:

[pg 115] “The final sequence of events that leads up to the opening of the Seventh Seal needs to be briefly reviewed. By the time this final seal is opened, all 144,000 whom God has called over six millennia will be fully trained to rule in His Kingdom. This Kingdom will be established when Jesus Christ returns with the 144,000 on the last day of the final three and one-half years of man’s self-rule. The remaining few, who were yet to be added to this total count of 144,000, and are alive at this end-time, will be sealed (completed their training) by the time this last seal is opened. This final sealing will occur during the time of the Sixth Seal”

Family: Coming Out of Bondage Pt 1

Wednesday, July 17th, 2013

I missed a posting for last weekend’s sermon because I was busy with family visiting from out of town.  Wayne Matthews filled in for  False Prophet Ronald Weinland who is imprisoned for criminal behavior rather than his kooky religious beliefs.

Wayne reiterated that it is God’s law that man has a carnal mind and only Jesus was exempted.  God lied about the return of Jesus Christ for PKG’s benefit, and it’s satanic to think that God is not fair.

Below is Ron’s weekly posting made earlier today.  Looks like he has access to a copy of Strong’s Concordance, one of his favorite mind-bending tools.

—– Rotten Ronnie’s posting —————

Recently, it was told to me that someone had stated that the “curse” upon women had not yet been lifted because women were still having labor pain when giving birth. This of course is in reference to a new truth that God began to reveal to His Church toward the end of 2009. It is Truth #52 of the “57 Truths.”

Truth #52 states, “God is restoring knowledge concerning the rightful place of women in the family. This involves the start of the greater removal of the curse laid upon women from the beginning which was the result of sin.”

In past sermons and in a post addressing this subject, it has never been stated that women would ever experience a time when labor pain would no longer exist or that God would remove it. Women experiencing labor pain at birth has very little to do with the curses that came upon Adam and Eve after they sinned, and it has nothing whatsoever to do with the 52nd Truth. Although this truth has been addressed in sermons and a post, it would be good to now build upon what has already been covered.

Restoring that Knowledge
From the beginning, when God began to reveal this truth to His Church, it was always in the context of both men and women throughout the world and their coming out of the bondage of spiritual Egypt in the Millennium. As God’s truth spreads into all the world through the establishment of His one true Church and the removal of all other false religions, the rightful place of women, especially in the family, will begin to be restored to the true purpose and beauty God created it to be at the beginning. God has partially begun to restore this in His Church, which is the means of removing the curse (not physical labor pain), just before the Millennium.

It would be good to begin by focusing more closely upon what this truth actually does say as stated within the “57 Truths.”

It states that this truth about women is something God is “restoring knowledge” of, but only within His Church, as the world cannot receive it. The reality and truth is that this knowledge was lost not long after God created Adam and Eve. This knowledge concerned how husbands and wives should “live” toward one another and toward God. It was knowledge based on spiritual law – that which affects the mind and thinking process that can work in harmony with the mind (the word, the ways) of God. This “spiritual process” at work in the mind of mankind requires access to God’s spirit, as God’s spiritual knowledge (of His laws, ways, truth) cannot be seen or sustained in the human mind without God’s spirit and a continuing access to it.

God did not create Adam and Eve and then abandon them as some kind of caveman and cavewoman. God educated them and taught them how to live life. This means they were not left to themselves to have to figure out (decide for themselves) how to live. How people live determines what their experience in life will be like – good or bad, fulfilled or lacking and filled with emptiness, rewarding or suffering loss, joyful or sorrowful, exciting or filled with dread and fear, happy or sad, etc. God’s ways that are contained in His word (His ways, His laws, and His truths) produce (yield) only one way – one result: fullness, joy, excitement, reward, contentment, and happiness in life – true peace.

Once Adam and Eve sinned, they began to “think differently” from what God had given to them as “the way” to think, which was one of unity and agreement with His ways. From that point forward, mankind became “cut off” from a true relationship with God, and the true knowledge of God’s ways became polluted and defiled by mankind’s “own thinking,” which is deciding for oneself what is right and what is wrong. God’s own words as the only true source of the right ways of life were rejected – God was rejected. That is the “way of mankind.”

From the beginning, mankind became cut off from God – from His spirit. After this, for the next 6,000 years, only those whom God specifically called could come into a relationship with Him and then receive of His word, knowledge, truth, and of how to live life His way. But even in this, God has only progressively revealed His ways in an increasing manner through time, as He has been leading mankind back into the kind of relationship they could have with Him and one another, just as it was given in the beginning.

From Adam and Eve and up through the next 6,000 years, God has worked to bring mankind into the millennial reign of His Kingdom on earth. It is in this Kingdom that His Son will “restore all things” purposed in the beginning that mankind should have had as the true ways and true knowledge of life. This is why the words of Peter on the Day of Pentecost in 31 AD are so profound and meaningful.

“Repent (Gk. – think differently) therefore and become converted (“changed” – back to becoming what God offered in the beginning) so that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19).

Before quoting the rest of what Peter said, it is important to stop here and explain the word used as “refreshing.” It is from a Greek word meaning “revival” or “the recovery of breath (life).” This is explaining the very process we are covering in this post. Adam and Eve turned away from the “thinking” (mind, word, revelatory thought) of God to their “own thinking” which is what mankind has followed ever since. Mankind judges for himself what he decides is right and wrong. Mankind does not look to God for such true knowledge. God’s plan is about a process of bringing mankind back into a unity and harmony with Him that He offered in the beginning.

So Peter is stating that there is a need for people to “think differently” (repent) than they presently do (selfishly as from their own authority). They are to become “changed” (converted) by doing so – by thinking and then living differently, and thereby coming into harmony with God’s ways – living them, which God had given from the beginning. Then their sins (walking contrary to God) will begin to be blotted out. This process is then referred to as a “time of refreshing” that comes from the very presence of God in one’s life.

This word translated as “refreshing” is incredibly meaningful when understood in Greek. Its meaning is also the very context of this post. Upon repentance and becoming changed (converted) by what we are living, we begin to be “revived” – to “recover the life” God offered in the beginning. But even more interesting and meaningful is that this Greek word is from a compound word. The first word means “repetition or reversal.” The other word means “in the past” or “of yesterday.” All this is literally speaking of the need to think differently and to now become changed into what God offered from His very presence “in the past” – in the beginning.

When are those “times” of refreshing that can only come from the presence of the Lord? For the Church over the past 2,000 years, that “time” came for each person when God called them. That “time of refreshing” will come to the whole world in the Millennium.

Repeating Lesson
The misapplied and misappropriated statement quoted in the beginning of this post, coupled with the subject of the 52nd Truth, is the crux of the issue at hand regarding what Peter was preaching on that Day of Pentecost when the Church was born. The greatest lesson in all this is one that has been repeated constantly throughout the history of God’s Church and it all began with Adam and Eve.

In the beginning, in the Garden of Eden, God began to educate mankind in His ways of life. There was much knowledge of God’s ways and purpose to be given, but it was cut short in sin. The first two, who were a married couple – the first parents – were cut off from God. Adam and Eve not only ceased to learn more of that which God had offered to continue to give them, but they began to lose what they had already received.

The example of what happened to Adam and Eve has been repeated constantly throughout the history of God’s Church. However, there is one great difference. Adam and Eve were given access to God’s spirit from the beginning, but in time they made a choice to disobey God and they became cut off from that spiritual life sustaining power that enables mankind to “see” what is of God and to be able to retain it. Once sin entered, their eyes were closed and they could no longer continue in God’s ways.

Since that time, individuals have had to be “called” (invited) into a relationship with God through God’s mercy and grace that is extended to them. Once the Church began, the means for the forgiveness of sin and the greater purpose God was working in mankind (to become Elohim) through the Passover became manifest. Upon being called into God’s Church and receiving the Passover sacrifice into their lives, individuals were given constant and continual access to God’s spirit as they consistently would repent and change. However, there are those who have been tried and tested who would no longer follow God as they reverted back to the old sin of deciding for themselves what is right and wrong about following God. They became cut off from God’s spirit, just as Adam and Eve were cut off from the tree of life. But for someone in the Church to do this, when turning against what God had drawn them to, they multiplied sin upon themselves by not only rejecting God, but by rejecting His sacrifice given to mankind – His Son who became their Passover. The apostle John actually teaches that they become antichrist at such time, and continue to be so unless or until they come to repent of not following where Christ leads. Obviously, this is no small thing with God.

This reveals one of the most important and most basic lessons of life. God’s laws, ways, truth and word are spiritual and can only be learned and sustained by God’s constant spirit – from the presence of the Lord – abiding in one’s life. Sin cuts off that constant flow of God’s spirit, and in the Church one must additionally have consistent repentance and change (conversion) in how one is living (growing spiritually) and applying God’s way of life.

If someone today becomes cut off from God’s spirit, they can no longer hear what they could hear before. The much needed removal of the curse upon women can then be seen as a physical matter of physical labor at childbirth rather than the spiritual result of wrong thinking in the mind that comes from the absence of God’s spirit in the reliance upon self to make decisions in life of right or wrong. Rather than seeing God as their “rock” of safety and protection, people will look to a physical location of Petra for safety and protection. Rather than seeing who the man of sin was in the Apostasy of the Church, people will begin to turn to the identity of the pope being the man of sin or of his being “the antichrist.” This list could go on and on, for these are the kind of things that have happened to people who once had the life of God and Christ abiding in them, but became as Adam and Eve – separated from God’s spirit.

If one encounters sin of which they will not repent or if one ceases to apply what is being learned (taught – as the “57 Truths”), then God’s presence (indwelling) of His spirit will cease to live in that person’s life. They can no longer continue learning what God progressively reveals, but they will quickly begin to lose what was given. A person cannot be sustained in the spiritual truths and ways of God without His spirit dwelling in them. It seems so simple, but when cut off from God’s spirit there is no longer the ability to see what is spiritual – what is from God.

“Repent (think differently) therefore and become converted (changed through transformation) so that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. And He (God) shall send Jesus Christ (once called, both can come to dwell in one’s life), who was preached unto you. Whom the heaven must receive until the restitution of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all the holy prophets since the world began” (Acts 3:19-21).

The “restitution of all things” will come to all mankind through Jesus Christ once the Kingdom of God has been established. This “restitution” in Greek literally means “reconstitution” and is a compound origin meaning to “restore again.” God is going to restore again what He began to give and reveal in the beginning. Through time, God has been progressively restoring truth – His ways and purpose – to mankind for 6,000 years (primarily the 144,000 up to this very end-time). As we are nearly to the end of that period and about to enter the Millennial period, God has been accelerating His restoration of His ways to help prepare and pave “the way” for the restitution of all things in the Millennium.

(Part  2 will be coming some time next week)

God’s Creation

Friday, July 12th, 2013

I was beginning to think that maybe God didn’t chose to reveal new truth to Ron this week, but since we just now have a blog post from him, maybe God was busy with other matters.  Ron discusses the maturing of his diminishing church that continues to wait Pentecost to Pentecost for Christ to return.

————–  Ron’s post ————————————

A recent post covered some of the history of the Church and the process of how God led Herbert W. Armstrong to see and then correct the day of the week in which Pentecost should always be observed. That specific account in our history teaches much about how God works with and leads His Church – even trying and refining it. Although it was mentioned in passing in that series of posts, there is one aspect of this account that will be focused upon more fully in this post. It is the awesomeness of the process of God’s creation being accomplished within the Church.

Directly after a person is baptized, they then receive the laying on of hands from the ministry, which is when they receive the impregnation of God’s spirit. It is at this time we are begotten by God, receiving his spirit with our spirit – God’s mind with our mind. It is the beginning of God’s active creation of Elohim in a newly baptized person. It is from this moment of receiving this impregnation that life takes on incredible meaning and purpose. The fullness of such an event cannot even begin to be comprehended by the one who experiences it when it happens.

The experience first consists of a “calling” that draws an individual to God’s Church. That person begins to come into the knowledge of truth by which they become convicted that they must obey. They then come to see the need for forgiveness of all past sins, and therefore, the need of baptism to accomplish it. Along with this desire for baptism and the forgiveness of sins is the ability to see the need for God’s spirit in one’s life.

This process just mentioned is basic to the most meager beginning of spiritual insight and understanding. The actual ability to grasp the magnitude of what is actually happening at such a time is not possible. That appreciation and spiritual understanding is something we can grow in through time. Such understanding, deep thankfulness, and amazement (wonder and awe) on our part will grow and be developed over a life-long process of maturing spiritually. This is something that not only happens individually as a process of individual growth, but it is a process of growth and development of “the Church” that God is also maturing through time.

A Maturing Church
Individuals can mature spiritually, and “the Church” matures as the instrument through which God is creating His Family. As a result of knowing how God has worked with mankind over the past 6,000 years, with the primary focus during that time being the creation of the 144,000, we can see that God’s method (process) of the creation of Elohim has itself been a maturing process (or growing method for development). Over this period of time God has progressively revealed more and more about His purpose and plan. God keeps building, and by doing so, His plan continues to unfold, and even the means of growth, development, and maturing of the Church itself increases. For lack of a better expression, this is awesome! What God does and how He does it – how God creates Elohim – is indeed filled with awe. To see all this more fully, it is important to step back and simply look at how God has been developing a growing (ever maturing) means whereby He is creating His Family.

In the first 4,000 years, God primarily worked with a single individual or only a very few at a time. The structure whereby God’s creation process could be increased dynamically, in a vastly matured fashion, had to be meticulously and precisely built (constructed) over a long period of time in order to build what was necessary to give great stability and proper framework for what was to follow.

After that time, Jesus Christ came to fulfill the role of Passover, and also, to fulfill more concerning this “maturing process” of creation. He came to be established as the “corner stone” of God’s creation. Once he was “set” in place within this growing development of God’s creation, a giant step forward in that process was established – “the Church.” At that point, the process of creating Elohim was stepped up mightily.

“Then they who gladly received his (Peter’s) word were baptized, and in that same day there were added about three thousand lives” (Acts 2:41).

On that day of Pentecost in 31 AD when Peter spoke those words, the method of developing (creating) Elohim took a great step forward (matured) when three thousand people were added to the Church in one day. As the apostles were inspired to teach and write what would later become scripture, this process in the development of Elohim was enhanced more and more. John was the last living apostle among those original apostles, and he led the Church in his older years. By the time he wrote the Book of Revelation and the letters of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John, God had blessed him with deep spiritual insight into such subjects as antichrist, the means of God and Christ continually dwelling “in” a spirit begotten person, and the subject of love (agape) itself. This matured teaching that came through John to the Church helped advance the creation process even more and helped to “set” the Church on a path to continue in its basic framework (established by that time of John) for the next 1800 years. During Sardis, the Church began to lose what God had given it.

Preparation for the Millennium
After 4,000 years of working more on an individual basis at any single time, the creating of Elohim was advanced dramatically by God having structured (built) a second powerful means whereby larger numbers could be created over the next 1900 years to become apart of His Family. When God called Herbert W. Armstrong and began to work through him to restore truth to His Church, He began to do much more as well. Two great phases in God’s creation process had been at work for the past 6,000 years with the first being when God worked more directly with an individual (or very few) at a time, and then the second phase which was established upon Christ’s first coming that led to the formation of the Church. Through Herbert W. Armstrong and this final era of the Church of God – PKG, God has been preparing for the next almost unfathomable giant leap forward for His Church in the Millennium.

Through Herbert W. Armstrong, God not only restored great truth to the Church and gave great power to its dissemination through an ever-increasing technological world, but He began to construct the framework for the molding and construction (building) of the ever-maturing process for the third great means of maturing “the Church.”

After being molded and fashioned to lead God’s Church through the era of Philadelphia, God inspired Mr. Armstrong to write the book Mystery of the Ages which outlined, in the most detailed and matured manner yet, the plan, purpose, and work of God through the ages. This book was the accumulation and final product of what God molded, taught, and revealed to him for over five decades. Mystery of the Ages reflected a vastly increased maturity God had built within His Church to prepare it for what He would build even far more upon after the Apostasy. The clear and concise outline of God’s work through the ages contained in that book was the framework and catalyst that enabled the remnant of God’s Church to become established so quickly after the Apostasy. This was all by design and God’s working to build and prepare His Church for the next great phase of His ever-maturing creation of Elohim.

Do not misunderstand how the term of “the Church” and its ever-maturing process is being used in this post. This does not mean that individuals in God’s Church are more mature now than those in the past. That is not true. God molds, fashions, and does a work of creation (of Elohim) in each person who continues in God and Christ to bring each to an individual maturity whereby they can be changed from mortal to immortal in His Kingdom. However, the maturing of the process (especially within the Church) whereby individuals can grow and become fashioned more quickly is the result of God’s progressive revelation and creative process through time.

Once the construction of God’s design and plan over 4,000 years had been accomplished and written in scripture, the introduction of the Passover, who would become the Messiah, brought so much of God’s plan together in such a way that thousands could now be worked with in a more matured (developed process) and effective manner. But even in this, the numbers called were controlled because only 144,000 were going to be developed, molded, and created to be in the Kingdom of God at Christ’s coming.

God has now completed that structure of His spiritual government and priesthood for the Millennium. As He completed that phase of building His Kingdom, He also simultaneously prepared the final events for His Church at the end-time that have now been fully lived and will serve as a kind of cap stone to all the history, experiences, and teaching that have paved the way for the next great phase of God’s creation. After 6,000 years, the complete structure of God’s priesthood and government for the next 1,100 years has now been established. Through this period of time the creation process itself has now been fully matured and developed to enable those who will live during that time that is now just before us to more quickly, more readily, and far more easily be created into Elohim – even simultaneously by the millions and billions.

God has just shown us the power of His matured creation process that has been experienced by those of us in His Church over the past five years. The greater marvel is that it was accomplished in the age of Satan’s reign, and additionally, that within that time Satan himself and the demons assaulted and sought to wreck havoc on God’s people. God’s controversy over Zion for millennia upon millennia has now been settled. God “is Almighty” and brings to pass all that He says. What we have lived is so very awesome indeed!

Pentecost to Pentecost
What we have covered in this post was to bring us to this point. We have grown to embrace a unique, incredibly meaningful, wonderfully beautiful phrase – Pentecost to Pentecost. This expression we now use at this time in earth’s history is filled with vision, focus, and fully anticipated expectation of the fulfillment of God’s promise recorded in Daniel of the final completion of this end-time and the establishment of His Kingdom over this world.

Past posts have spoken of the marvel of the creation of the galaxies in which there are a myriad of intricacies within the universe that cry out to the majesty and supreme greatness of Almighty God, who is our Father. Yet the creation of mankind into Elohim is the greatest marvel and creative excellence of all. David spoke of the stars in the heavens and pondered the importance God placed upon mankind that He would be so mindful of him (mankind). That which we can see and know of the universe today makes what David saw and knew then as very small indeed. Our appreciation, thankfulness, and awe today should also be that much greater because of God’s progressive revelations and vastly matured creative process that is now at work in our lives.

The design, planning, preparation for construction, and the building taking place in each of our lives in order to create Elohim is so far beyond anything we can truly grasp. However, we must indeed know it and be convicted of this truth of God, who works in our lives. Yet in the midst of our inability to grasp it fully, God is giving us an increasing appreciation of the work, intricacies involved, exactness, and absolute marvel of what we have been living through in the final years of this end-time.

This post was inspired by a comment made by a person whose letter I received this week. This individual referred to how I had spoken of Pentecost of 1974 several times in relationship to what was mentioned in the beginning of this post about when God led Herbert W. Armstrong to see and then correct the day of the week Pentecost should be observed. This person then wrote, “I keep anticipating that you will say something about the next Pentecost (in 2014) being exactly 40 years from then (1974).”

So much of God’s plan concerning the end of 6,000 years of man’s self-rule and the end of Satan’s reign over the earth is about Pentecost to Pentecost. On a Pentecost, God gave us a codified outline for His way of life to be lived in the form of the Ten Commandments. The next great Pentecost was in 31 AD when God revealed that the only true way this spiritual law can be kept (lived) is by the receiving of His power, His spirit, to dwell in our life. The next great Pentecost is when the firstfruits of God’s Kingdom are resurrected into Elohim to serve under our Messiah to govern this world.

It was on Pentecost of 1998, one year exactly after God separated me from the scattering of the Apostasy in order to lead His Church, that this remnant of God’s Church was fully established. Now, we well know the purpose and meaning associated with Pentecost of 2012 and 2013. But what about Pentecost of 2014? What about the timing of 40 years? Is it coincidental that we are coming up to a unique count contained in the meaning of 40 years since God revealed the correct timing for the observance of Pentecost to be observed in His Church at the end of the age? Brethren, all I can tell you at this time is that it is not coincidental. There is great meaning in this, and God will reveal it more fully in His time. God’s timing and preciseness in all things in our lives and within the Church are by great design, especially with something of this importance relating to the meaning of Pentecost, 40 years, and the end of this age. Nothing like this is of coincidence or a matter of chance.

What I am able to say now is what God has already given me to say. His “promise” is sure and absolute as it is recorded in Daniel. God will now bring all things to a close for this end-time in order to fulfill the removal of the rule of this world away from the hands of mankind and away from Satan’s reign. On a Pentecost Jesus Christ and the 144,000 who will come with him will set up the reign of the Kingdom of God on earth. God’s promise is certain and we will know that timing once the Second Trumpet has been made physically manifest.

So we continue to watch, both physically and spiritually. We continue to wait upon God – to look to God to lead, guide, and direct us as we continue to live His way of life toward Him, His Son, and toward all others. We have experienced many hard trials, but they have worked to create God’s mind more fully within us, as we have been blessed to continue moving forward in faith. Yet many are still suffering from the effects of the trials and onslaught of last year.

The Pains of Labor
We must be mindful of another great aspect of suffering and pressure (stress) in force and growing stronger now that it is at work in this world (the pains of labor). It is a combination of what is simply “in the air” (in life around us) as the stress of life (in politics, world conditions, family life, the economy, etc.) is growing and the unseen sense (not understood or recognized for what it is) of pressure that is coming from a collapsing world (Babylon, Assyria, and Egypt) around us. This is not about specific attacks from Satan and the demonic world upon us as during the five month period when they were given free reign to do so. But this is about those stresses of this world becoming so great that the ways of the world are starting to implode upon itself, in addition to a mounting evil spirit world that is stirred up mightily and striking out at the whole world in any way it can.

Pentecost of 2014 will prove to be awesomely important to all that God is working out in the transition of this world’s government to His government reigning on earth. So we are to keep focused from Pentecost to Pentecost until the day of Christ’s reign begins, when our true “great work” will begin in peace, fullness, and joy of life. We are now not far from the Kingdom of God.

We have now entered a very unique time, and it should not be confused with the direct assaults of Satan and the demons. Though they still try to harass God’s people, there is the unique stress and pressure of life that is a reality around us and is simply coming from a world that is growing in momentum toward imploding upon itself. It is simply everywhere and growing in intensity. There is a section of scripture that applies to our lives more perfectly than ever as we are at the peak of its application to the changes now before us. This is where we will conclude this post.

“The spirit (God’s) itself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God” (Rom. 8:16).

There is that which we simply “know.” We know the truth God has revealed to us. We know how God called us and continues to work with us. It is a personal “knowing” God has given us about our relationship with Him, His Son, and those in His fellowship.

“And if children (of God), then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if we also suffer with him, that we may be glorified together” (vs. 17).

As we grow spiritually and as we have gone through a very troubled time that has been upon the Church in these final stages of the end-time, we learn more and more what it is like to suffer “in” Christ in conquering self, this world, and a demonic spirit world. We know what it is like to suffer for righteousness sake for God’s way – over the cause (controversy) for Zion.

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (vs. 18).

It is the greatest struggle of life to fight for the Kingdom of God. It does not come easily, but through intense battles, especially now as this world is beginning to die. What ever it is that you “carry,” God will use it to mold and fashion that which will be unique to you in His Kingdom. That is certain! Our lives are not random, though some things of chance will happen to us, but God is always there to bring good from it all.

“For the earnest expectation (we have grown mightily in our earnest quest and faith-filled expectation of Christ’s coming) of the creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God” (vs. 19).

We eagerly look forward to Christ’s coming and the resurrection of the 144,000 into the Kingdom of God, who will establish God’s rule on earth.

“For the creation (the basis and purpose for physical human life that can enable the further creation of Elohim) was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of Him who has subjected the same in hope. Because the creation (with the beginning being in human life) itself shall also be delivered from the bondage of corruption (the spirit of Babylon, Egypt, and Assyria) into the glorious liberty of the children of God (as Elohim). For we know that the whole creation groans and is in labor pain until now” (Rom. 8:20-22).

From the beginning 6,000 years ago, God has called and created Elohim in those who are firstfruits. We are now nearing the end of the greatest struggle in time (in this world of Satan’s reign). God has forewarned us that the struggle will intensify as labor pain will more fully reflect our final struggle. Although it has been a great battle over the past 6,000 years for all whom God has called, this final struggle rises to the top of them all.

I remember well when I was called in 1969. In my experience in Philadelphia, in the era that ended in January of 1986 when Mr. Armstrong died, there were various battles, stresses, and hardships within the Church from time to time. However, that period of time would have to be regarded as quite smooth compared to the past five years, and especially now, as we have entered the final stage of what God is working out in order to usher in the Millennium.

We are now at the stage of increased birthing pain where the intensity is becoming greater and we are to begin “bearing down” ever more in labor – not letting down and looking for an easy way through this, but fighting for “this way” and working zealously to help usher in a new age by keeping focused on God and His way of life to live.

Little End

On Monday, the following comment was left on this blog:

To the ministry:

This is a notification to all of you so that you are informed that Audra Weinland has filed for divorce with Chris Little. There is no need for further information than this. However, since Audra is a sr. elder and works directly in the administration of the Church and works with many of you in the ministry, we wanted you to be aware of this. Audra is taking back her last name as Weinland. Her new email address is audra.weinland@cog-pkg.org

As my last email managed to be put on the Internet (which is really no big deal), we would prefer that this email not be passed out to others. You are being asked not to email this information to anyone, but you are certainly free to pass it along as general information to brethren in you personal conversations with them. Due to Audra’s importance in her position in the Church, it is good that brethren also be made aware of this change (but only in personal conversation and not by email).

I found this entry today on a court website:

13-CI-01172           LITTLE, AUDRA LYNN VS. LITTLE, CHRISTOPHER DOUGLAS
BOONE
This is less than 5 years since they were allegedly married in Germany Union, KY on September 9, 2008. A lot has happened in that time: Chris and Audra sat together in the courtroom as daddy was sentenced to federal prison.  And Christ returned on 3 different occasions.  And now the divorce.

What Prophet?

Sunday, July 7th, 2013

As US federal prisoner #15344-032 AKA False Prophet Ronald Weinland was not available to give this weekend’s sermon, Johnny Harrell filled in for him.  Johnny announced that the dial-in phone hookup was being discontinued, those few oldsters still using it will have to buy CD players to listen.  He also announced PKG policy for second tithe assistance, those getting assistance will not be allowed to transfer to a site more expensive than the one closest to them.  Any private assistance must also be included in the equation when asking for assistance from the church.  PKG would also no longer provide rides from the airport to the feast site for out-of-town members.

The title of the sermon was “What Profit?” with the wrong version of the second word.  The world doesn’t have a clue as to what’s about to take place.  But PKG members know or at least maybe eventually will as God reveals the new present truth week by week in sabbath sermons.

PKG members groan when other members lose the plan of God and start thinking for themselves.  Which according to a comment left yesterday has happened as two more exPKG members are out there:

Parker (elder) and Heather W_ are no longer in agreement with the Church of God-PKG and have therefore disfellowsipped themselves from the Church of God-PKG. No one should contact them about this matter as it is between them and the Church of God-PKG.

Travis and Debra Luksich will now be the elders over Colorado.  I have CC them on this email so if you need to contact them you have their email address.  If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks,

Beth

I take “Beth” to be newly minted senior elder Beth Bucheit who also issued the fatwa disfellowhipping Ron’s mother and sister.  Parker is the elder son of Evangelist Terry.  Parker and Heather were married early in 2008 just prior to the detonation of “nukular” bombs in US port cities.  Terry has another son and two daughters who may still be PKG members.  As far as I know, these are the only remaining relatives of Ron and the three evangelists who are PKG members.

In Ron’s posting, he stated:

The Greek word translated to the English word “prove,” is a word that means “to test, examine, and try.” The use of the word, however, is in context with the process of making a judgment or decision as to whether something or someone is “approved or disapproved” in how it or they perform, work, or accomplish (do) a task.

The Merriam Webster’s dictionary provides the following definitions:

1 archaic : to learn or find out by experience.
2a: to test the truth, validity, or genuineness of <the exception proves the rule> <provea will at probate>
b: to test the worth or quality of; specifically: to compare against a standard —sometimes used with upor out
c:to check the correctness of (as an arithmetic result)
3a: to establish the existence, truth, or validity of (as by evidence or logic) <prove a theorem> <the charges were never proved in court>
b: to demonstrate as having a particular quality or worth <the vaccine has been proven effective after years of tests> <proved herself a great actress>
4: to show (oneself) to be worthy or capable <eager to prove myself in the new job>

Here are a few passages in “2008 — God’s Final Witness”:

Why should anyone believe what is written in either book? Again, the answer is twofold. The answer is not in anything that is stated or written because words by themselves do not prove credibility and truth. That which man has written about God does not prove it is true. Only God Himself can prove what is true by bringing to pass exactly what He has said. Only the next few years can prove whether or not these two books are true and of God. If nothing happens, then you can know positively that this is complete fiction. [pg 8]

It was not Moses’ responsibility to try to prove this in some way; it was God’s. God showed the Israelites and Egypt that Moses was His servant and His prophet by fulfilling what He said through him. [pg 12]

It is not my job to prove this to anyone—it is God’s! He will do so by His great power. [pg 17]

Yes, this book is the truth. God is about to prove that this book is telling the truth! He will do so with power unleashed beyond any that He has ever used to reveal to man that He is their Creator. [pg 51]

God will prove whom He sends. Just as prophetic events will unfold with increasing power and frequency, so will I increase in power and recognition by others because of the job God has placed before me. It is God’s purpose, and He will do it. Either I am an eloquent, rationally-sounding lunatic or I am sent from God. [pg 58]

Because we are so stubborn and filled with pride and will not accept this, God must allow us to prove this truth to ourselves. [pg 173]

Seems to me that last one contradicts Ron’s last posting.  Look this over, and decide for yourself if “prove” as used in his book is the same archaic meaning for “prove” that he now prefers.

Proving God’s Truth

Friday, July 5th, 2013

False Prophet Ronald Weinland has worn out a few #2 pencils this week, after taking last week off.  Do we know why?

—————  Convict Ronnie’s latest ——————————–

Last week there was no post, and I think it is good to mention the reason why. It is simply that God did not give to me what to write about. There are always lessons to learn from how God leads us. We are blessed that we are given spiritual food each Sabbath because that is one of the primary purposes of why God gave us such a day – to teach us of His ways. We must never take that for granted. It is important that we continually pray that God feed us and inspire those who prepare the messages we receive.

This is just as I have often mentioned about praying in your personal preparation for the Feast of Tabernacles and the sermons you will be hearing. You should also pray in the same manner throughout the year for all preparation and delivery of the sermons you are to receive. This not only includes asking for such help to be given to the speaker, but we should also be asking that we be able to receive spiritually what is given. Our spirit in such matters reflects an attitude toward God. It reveals how we think and whether we are “full” or “hungry” for God’s word – His guidance, correction, inspiration, ways, etc. If we are “full” in our own eyes then that kind of prayer, hunger, and thankfulness to God for what He gives will not occupy much of our “thinking.” Instead, it will reflect more of a Laodicean spirit that is becoming lukewarm and not one that is spiritually watchful and desirous to be zealous for God’s way to live in us.

In actuality, what we spiritually put into that which is to be given in sermons has a corresponding measure as to what we will be able to receive from them. Much of this comes down to the kind of value and importance we actually place on what God offers to us.

The timing and importance of this admonition is good since the ministry has been encouraged to begin focusing on the preparation of Feast sermons. This year we are also planning to add something new to the speaking schedule. Besides the evangelists, there are a few others who have been asked to prerecord a split-sermon for the Feast in the possibility of it being selected to be used at that time. Although it is not important at this time for you to know who has been working on this, what is important is that you need to be praying for these individuals who have never had such a responsibility or opportunity to serve God in this manner. More specifics about this will likely be mentioned later on this summer.

This Post
As I was not given a post to write for last week, I wrote a kind of “personal” to all the ministry and then decided to also have them make that letter available to all the brethren. I mentioned in that letter that as I started writing it God had shown me what the next post would be about, which is this post. It is important that I now repeat the paragraph that led to what God was showing me that was to be covered in this post.

In that letter to the ministry I referred to the series of posts that had just been completed entitled, “An Extraordinary 4 1/2 Years,” and I wrote the following paragraph:

“As I wrote that series, there are several things that I have come to far more deeply appreciate and understand. One of these concerns the importance of the truths God has given us that set us apart in such a powerful way as His true Church. I’ve often encouraged the Church to review the 57 Truths. Reviewing these truths and becoming more fully grounded in them cannot be emphasized enough. God has laid them out for His Church, even in order, count, and timing, let alone for the purpose they serve and teach. God did not just randomly reveal these truths, just as He did not randomly create the galaxies. Everything is for a purpose and time – by design.”

I’ve often marveled, especially since the Apostasy, how some people have claimed to be in unity with the truths revealed through Herbert W. Armstrong, but don’t even begin to be in unity with the first one that is attributed to being revealed through him – Government. These same people often speak of going back to the “basics” and sometimes speak of “proving them again.” What on earth are those basics? Is it about tithes, the Sabbaths of God, the name of the Church? What is to be proven in those things? How do you go about to “prove” them? Those who say such things do so in a context of going back to “prove” these to themselves as the basic truths of God.

The truth is that you cannot “prove” them to yourself, “of or by yourself,” to be true. Even such use of the word “prove” is in great error. So where does such an idea come from?

In the past, during the later part of Philadelphia and on into Laodicea, this concept of “proving” scripture or truth began to take on a false meaning and it carried a very untrue concept along with it. This was unwittingly, foolishly, or just falsely being taught by a growing number of ministers and it even began to be reflected in some of the publications by certain authors.

To better understand how this misinterpretation came to be, it would first be good to simply stand back from all this and consider the times in which the early apostles taught and wrote about what God gave to them. Some who have misinterpreted scripture would quote a scripture written by Paul that was used to show that people should “study” God’s word in order to be approved by Him: “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman who needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15). But the concept of modern day study can in no way apply to those in the Church in the period of time Paul wrote this. Today someone can research through books or computer aids (study programs or use of the Internet) to “study” into God’s word, but even then one needs to be exceedingly cautious and on guard.

There was nothing remotely close to this concept of study in what Paul was telling Timothy. The New Testament had not even been fully written at this time and people didn’t have ready access to Old Testament scriptures as we do today in an abundance of printed books.

The Greek word translated into English as “study” actually means “to be diligent and/or to labor.” Paul was simply telling Timothy that as a minister he should be diligent and work wisely in his ministry at holding to (sticking to) teaching the word of truth as he had learned from him (earlier verses in context). But there are some in the past who have used this wrong English word, translated as “study” in its modern usage in order to pass along a concept that didn’t even exist in Paul’s time as it does today.

Yet having said all this, it needs to be understood that we should use the kinds of tools available to us in order to be “sharp” in the knowledge and understanding of God’s word. Certainly, it is good if we study, but how and what we study is most important. It is just as Paul was admonishing Timothy as a minister that he faithfully give to others what he had received through him.

However, there is a false concept that can be attached to “study” if one is not careful and that is the danger associated with the misuse and false teaching of applying it to a scripture like this. It was false for any minister in the past to use that verse in such a manner. It is not only in error, but it also distorts what Paul was actually telling Timothy, and it can leave a very dangerous “concept” in the mind. That concept is what Satan planted early in the mind of Eve, which in turn was planted into Adam’s mind. That is the concept that anyone can have the ability to discern for themselves what is right or wrong – what is true or false. No amount of study in the world, by anyone, can determine what is true and what is false. Even if one only studies the Bible, which millions have, the personal judgment of how each person actually “thinks” (the way “I” see it) will pollute what is true.

Studying from one’s own intellect by relying on our own ability to discern and know God’s truth is not only unwise, but it is actually foolish, dangerous, and simply wrong to do. It is also highly unwise to place reliance on outside sources as true and authoritative. This is why I have encouraged people to be diligent in being in unity with the 57 Truths and to use the extensive store of the great wealth of knowledge and understanding of God’s word that is contained on the Church website. These things coupled with reading scripture and seeking God’s help through prayer to understand are powerful tools God has given us to grow spiritually strong.

The Word Prove
We have just covered the misapplication of the Greek word that means “to give diligence” and/or “to labor” that has been translated as “study” in some English Bibles. It is simply in error and is a completely wrong interpretation of what Paul wrote. It is similar and closely related to the misapplied use of the definition many have ascribed to the word “prove” in scripture. Those who speak of “going back and proving the basics” are applying a false usage of the definition of that word.

The English word for “prove” has two basic definitions and both can be applied to the meaning of the Greek word from which this is translated. A major problem, however, is in how the word is applied in the context of the Greek writing, as “how” it is used is very specific. Some unwittingly or purposefully misapply the use of the word in order to support (or justify) their actual intent or desired interpretation in order to give validity to their actions. This is quite a paradox once you grasp the proper use of what it means to “prove” oneself.

One basic definition of the word is to “establish the validity or establish the authenticity” of something and the second is to “put to the test or to try out” something or someone. The second definition is more in unison with the actual Greek word, but both can apply if you understand how the word is used in the Greek.

The way this word is used is quite clear in its context in scripture, but with a little twist of “how” someone can misapply it, it then becomes very insidious and spiritually dangerous. The reason it is so harmful and treacherous is that it insinuates a totally false concept, teaching, and doctrine that is totally contradictory to how God calls, teaches, and leads His people. We will come back to this point a little later.

The Greek word translated to the English word “prove,” is a word that means “to test, examine, and try.” The use of the word, however, is in context with the process of making a judgment or decision as to whether something or someone is “approved or disapproved” in how it or they perform, work, or accomplish (do) a task. The best way to grasp the usage of this word is to see how it is used in context in scripture.

The simplest and clearest basic example is in what Christ said in a parable about a certain man who made a great supper and invited many to it. This parable then continues with each invited guest making excuse of why they could not attend. One of the examples is of a man who had just purchased some oxen: “Another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen and I must go to prove them so I pray that you have me excused” (Lk. 14:19).

In this example, it is not saying that the man was going to establish the validity or authenticity of the oxen, but that of their performance as to what they could accomplish – the kind of work they could do. Proving the oxen was a matter of a decision or judgment that would hinge on their performance – how they worked. Approval or disapproval of the oxen rested on what they could do.

This difference may not seem that important at first glance as to the meaning of this word “prove,” but it is actually exceedingly important in how it is applied. This will become clearer to you as we continue into this subject and see how it is being falsely applied by those who speak of “going back and proving the basics.”

This man who had purchased these five oxen simply wanted to go out into the fields to see (verify) the kind of work they could do. He wanted to put them to the “test” and “try” them in order to determine if they performed (worked) in such a manner as to be approved by himself as their owner.

The meaning of the word “prove” is basic, but how to prove something or someone is what is important. You cannot prove (test, try, or establish the validity of) something or someone by what you “think” in your own mind or by your own opinion by simply looking at, observing, judging, or deciding from your own viewpoint or perception. The decision or approval (or disapproval) rests on the work, performance, and/or accomplishment of something or someone. That is “how” something or someone is approved through the testing (proving).

There is a scripture often used in preparation of Passover that uses this same word in a manner that also clarifies its proper usage through context: “Examine (Gk. – take account of) yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Prove (put to the test, establish the validity of) your own selves. Do you not know your own selves how that Jesus Christ is in you, except (Gk. – or else, if not) you are reprobates (Gk. – rejected, not approved)” (2 Cor. 13:5)? The admonition here is to take an account of your own life and how you are living it. It is to put ourselves to testing (as in taking a test) to see (determine) how we are performing (living, applying) God’s way of life. In such an accounting of our own life, much of the test of “how” we are living God’s way will be determined by how we live our life toward others and whether or not it is revealing God’s spirit working in us.

Insidious Misuse of “Prove”
It was mentioned earlier that to misuse and misapply the word “prove,” as some do when speaking of “going back and proving the basics,” is insidious and spiritually dangerous. Again, the reason it is so dangerous is that it insinuates a totally false teaching or doctrine in scripture that is not scriptural at all. In actuality, it is totally contradictory to how God truly works in the life of His people.

The false concept of “going back and proving the basics” may sound like a noble, sound, and righteous act, but it is far from it. This idea of going back and proving the basics is a spin off of the false interpretation of a scripture in 1 Thessalonians 5:22 that states, “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”

We are indeed to “prove all things,” but only in the way Paul is admonishing and not in the way some misinterpret this. Is Paul telling people in God’s Church that they have a responsibility to prove through study, intellect, or personal insight whether certain Biblical teaching or doctrine is right or wrong – true or false? Are members of the Body of Christ shouldered with the task of verifying the validity or truth of teaching in God’s Church?

These are truly good questions as they should help lead you to a better understanding of how God reveals truth to His people. Within the Body of Christ, truth is not revealed to individual members through personal study, insight, and/or intellect, no matter how much one might try to prove something true or false through their own ability. Such an idea, concept, or teaching is totally contrary to the truth of God, the working of His ministry, and the structure God has created within His Church – government.

What Paul was saying was that people are to prove – to establish the validity of God’s truths and ways – by putting them to work through living and exercising them in their life and thereby approving them as the only true way of life to live. When he says to “prove all things,” he is only speaking of “all” things that are given from God and not of living and trying all things that are possible in human life.

How God Works
The twist that some have placed on the word “prove” is indeed sly, deceptive, insidious, and totally false. It is highly dangerous spiritually because of what such a concept actually teaches. It teaches that individuals have the ability within them to discern, judge, examine, and decide for themselves what is true and what is false. If that were true, we would not need God’s spirit to lead us into all truth. No one has such ability apart from God to discern or know such things. Such must be revealed spiritually to us by God. That is how God works in us to give us His truths. The idea that individuals have the ability within themselves to discern or learn what is true, apart from God revealing it, is the same lie Satan foisted upon the first two human beings. Satan seeks to sneak that false concept into the lives of all with whom God calls and works with. That is how he led a third of the angelic realm to follow him.

You can only prove God’s ways – His truths – by obeying and living them. You cannot prove them to others as the right (true) way of life to live, as such proof is the result of a personal conviction (approval) that comes by obeying and living them, and personally experiencing the results. This process is the true usage of what Paul was saying when he said to “prove all things.” He went on to say to “hold fast that which is good.” Paul was simply saying that what God has given us to live is good and we should hold fast to it once we have experienced (proven, lived) it.

It is simply a lie to believe that anyone can come to the knowledge of the truth – of what is right or wrong – by human reasoning, intellect, study, or by any other human means. Nor can one “go back” and re-prove truth through their own intellect, reasoning, or study. They cannot re-prove what they never proved as true anyway. It was given directly from God and only received as a matter of faith.

Did you come to the knowledge of the truth of God’s true Church by your reasoning, intellect, and/or study? No! But God called you to it. He had to draw you and reveal it to you. Did you come to the knowledge of God’s Sabbaths by your own means, especially that of the annual holy days, or did God have to reveal that to you? God indeed made recorded messages (containing His truth) or publications available to you that you could listen and/or study in order to learn of such things, but God had to reveal (communicate) it as true to you through the power of His spirit. He has to reveal the knowledge of His truth and it is up to us to then receive it once He gives us the ability to know it (believe it and act upon it – faith).

How quickly some leave (abandon or ignore) simple teaching that God reveals early on about how He is the one who calls and reveals truth to us.

“For what can man know of the things of man (of mankind, of a physical world), except by the spirit of man which is in him (except through human reasoning and human intellect God has given man)? Even so, the things of God no man can know, but only the spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world (in order to see and know the things of God), but the spirit that is from God so that we might know (come to know and see) the things that are freely given to us from God. These are the things which we also speak (are able to tell, discuss, communicate, preach), not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches (from intellect or human reason), but that which the holy spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual” (1 Cor. 2:11-13).

That is the way God reveals all truth to us. It begins to be revealed to us from the beginning of our calling, and then God’s spirit continues to reveal more and more to us in order for us to continue building on what has been given before. So how does God reveal His truth and true ways of life to people? Is it done by personal revelation that is “directly” from God and straight to an individual? No, not unless one is a prophet or apostle. That is simply how God has structured His Church and how it is to function. It is how God works.

When someone begins to believe the lie that they can reason and study to know God’s truth then they quickly begin to lose what God freely gave them, since it is God who not only gives His truth to us, but it is God who sustains it in us through His spirit dwelling in us. Truly, the bottom line is a matter of knowing where God’s true Church is, and only God can reveal that single spiritual body to someone. That Church is the only means that God has given that enables spiritual growth through sermons, other recorded truth, and written material God and Christ inspire to be given to His people through His ministry. Without that direct source that God works through His Church and His ministry, one will begin to starve spiritually from lack of food that comes only in this manner.

Indeed, how quickly individuals can lose what God freely gave them once they choose to believe any lie and separate themselves from God’s Church. Individuals can and have gone quickly back to believing that the rock (Petra, Selah) is about a physical place of safety (protection) in Jordan, instead of God being our Rock of safety. Individuals have returned to believing that there are two eternally existing Gods, as they actually return to embrace a strong portion of the Catholic doctrine of the Trinity. And on and on it goes. Such is Satan’s pleasure. He and the demonic world cease to attack them, but instead make their life more comfortable in this physical world to which they have returned. Such individuals are no longer engaged in a spiritual battle to hold fast to what God had given them.

It is for such reasons that we should study the truths God has given us so that we can remain sharpened and strong in God’s word. This is simply a part of holding fast to what God has given already and not letting it slip away, but remembering it and thereby being more readily able to build upon it as God continues to freely give us more. We should seek to remember and hold fast to what we are given. That does indeed mean we are to “go back” and be reminded and strengthened in what God has given us. That is the correct context we should use if ever speaking of “going back,” but never in the context of proving things to ourselves apart from what God has given – 57 Truths!
