Sentencing Memorandum of Mike (DDTFA)

Judge Reeves, may it please the Court, I ask it to consider my recommendation on the sentencing of False Prophet Ronald Weinland. I have been observing the activities of Weinland for the past several years and have interacted with those affected by his actions.  The true penalty for Ronald Weinland’s crimes of falsely prophesying is death per Deuteronomy 18:22 in the Bible which Weinland claims to be able to teach.  Fortunately for Weinland, those crimes are not within human jurisdiction and the imposition of penalty likely will be delayed for quite awhile.  As it was for Herbert Armstrong, who died at the age of 90 while in his bedroom.

So the only thing I ask the Court to consider are those crimes for which you do have jurisdiction, which are the tax crimes for which he was convicted.  The prosecution has charged him with $245,000 in evaded taxes.  The defense is arguing for a lower figure because (1) the monies in Weinland’s Swiss bank account were allegedly held in trust for the church, and (2) Laura’s travel expenses to various congregations with her husband should not be charged as income.  I say that we should give him the benefit of the doubt on these points as far as criminal but not civil charges.  Maybe Ron did not spend any of the money deposited in the Swiss bank accounts and did eventually bring it all back to church bank accounts in the US.  Perhaps he honestly believed that Laura’s travel expenses were not taxable income.  I would not argue that would excuse him from paying the taxes and any civil penalties, but should not factor in on a criminal basis.  This comes from Weinland’s most consistent critic who has publicly criticized him for over 4 years in Internet blogs and has been the recipient of death curses issued by Weinland.  Removing the amounts for those items from the criminal basis would reduced his criminal tax liability to under $200,000 and put him at base offense level 16, for a sentence of 21-27 months.

The probation officer’s sentencing report calls for a 2-level enhancement for sophisticated means for having a Swiss bank account.  Let’s give Ron the benefit of the doubt on that.  Even though he took steps early on to hide the Swiss bank accounts from the general public by not sending out the customary tape recordings of sermons in 2002 and 2003 in which mentioned the accounts, he did disclose them to the IRS special agent on his initial interview.

The pre-sentencing report calls for a two-level enhancement for Obstruction of Justice.  In my opinion, this should apply.  While I did not hear Weinland’s testimony, I understand that he claimed to have a church scholarship program to justify paying his son’s educational expenses from church accounts.  A scholarship program which benefited exactly one person.  That doesn’t pass the smell test.  Also, there was the non-cooperation of his daughter Audra in response to IRS summonses which required special court action in 2009 to compel her to comply.  Do we believe that Weinland had absolutely nothing to do with her decision to disobey the summons?  So I argue this two-level enhancement should apply, raising his offense level from 16 to 18.

The prosecution has called for another two-level enhancement either for Aggravated Role or for Abuse of Position of Trust.

With respect to Aggravated Role. I argue this would apply, as he directed the activities of his wife and daughter in this pattern of criminal behavior. Despite his devotion to the church, he filled out false income tax returns not only for himself and his wife, but also for his daughter.

With respect to Abuse of Position of Trust.  As the prosecution points out, Weinland was indeed a position of trust to the IRS.  As the only officer in his church corporation which was not required to make any filings with the government as to its financial activity, they trusted him to comply with the law.  I ask that you use whatever authority you have to restrict Weinland from controlling the financial activities of any church organization, whether directly or indirectly via his ecclesiastical authority.  Weinland should turn his church corporation over to others and resign as an officer, and there should be reliable external oversight of its financial activity.

Applying a two-level enhancement either for Aggravated Role or Abuse of Position of Trust raises the offense level from 18 to 20.

The defense has argued for a downward variance in Weinland’s sentence.  The defense claims that Weinland’s failure to properly pay his taxes was because he was so heavily devoted on a daily basis to his ecclesiastical duties.  I wonder how Weinland devoted his time to his church while on a 10-day Mediterranean cruise in October of 2007 — this immediately after having called on his members to support his evangelism in the advance of the Great Tribulation he prophesied for the following year.  How much time did he devote to his church while on a 2-day layover in Hawaii in late December of 2007?  This was at a time during which according his own statements he had no members in Hawaii.  How much time time did he devote to his church during a 2-day stay during January of 2008 at the 5-diamond Venetian Resort Hotel Casino? At that time he wasn’t even holding one of his elders conferences at that location. How devoted to the church is he while watching cable TV all day in his $381,000 home on a golf course?  Cable TV is a luxury some of his members can’t afford after donating heavily to Weinland.

Weinland’s defense team has attempted to sway the court by dumping a massive filing of 169 letters of support from his members.  Many of these letters cite being reimbursed by the church for performance of duties as elders.  Others mention financial assistance to attend their holy days.  They refer to “second tithe assistance” which is funded by the voluntary donations of other more fortunate members.  Several mention the trinkets the Weinlands hand out to small children. I point out that these letters are written by sincere yet simple people who believe that Weinland speaks for God.  These people continue to believe that despite two failed dates for Christ’s return (in September of 2011 and on Memorial Day weekend this year).  I believe most PKG members to be honest yet deluded people.

But you haven’t heard from those affected by those honest yet deluded people, their friends and family.  Many of whom are afraid to speak out in criticism of Weinland is doing and the affect he has on those deluded people for fear of being cut off from contact.  Such as the teenage girl mourning the loss of attention from her father who is totally focused on Weinland and has damaged the financial prospects of his family irrevocably by donating their assets to him.  Weinland’s own sister has been cut off by other nearby siblings for the simple offense of participating in my website to express dismay at the conviction of her brother.

When considering Weinland’s personal characteristics, I ask that you consider the following:

  • Weinland claimed that he and his wife were the Witnesses foretold in Revelation chapter 11.  Yet of all the powers attributed in the Bible to these Two Witnesses, his only exercise of those powers was calling for the deaths of those who criticize him.  This death curse were issued, and reissued again.  This curse was delivered in a deliberate fashion reading from a pre-written statement.  Even as recently as May, I was issued another death curse as one of 7,000 “named” to die during the hour of Christ’s return.
  • Weinland has failed to live up to his promises.  In December of 2007, he promised that if the Great Tribulation prophesied to begin in April of 2008 did not materialize, that he would not change his prophecies.  At the time he mocked those who did that sort of thing as in it for the paycheck.  Again in March of 2008, he reiterated his promise, stating he would stop preaching in early June and by July of 2008 if nuclear weapons were not detonated he would admit to being a false prophet.  Yet in June of 2008, he did exactly what he promised that he wouldn’t do, changing the prophesied return of Christ from September of 2011 to May of 2012.  And now his “Present Truth” is that Christ will return in May of next year.

To date, Weinland has not exhibited any signs of remorse or that he accepts responsibility for his criminal actions. He had substantial unreported income even for tax year 2008 even after becoming aware of the criminal investigation.  He has publicly stated that the church is paying for his legal defense. He has not repented before his church in any of his sermons.  Instead, he has stated that he will not dignify criticisms of his actions with any kind of response.  And privately has told his members not to read other sources about his misdeeds including mainstream newspapers.  Or circulated the story that it’s just a misunderstanding about his Swiss bank account, with no mention of his profligate spending habits.  Or allowed some to think that he is being persecuted because his church does not have permanent buildings.  Anything to avoid the truth of his misdeeds.

I call for sentencing within the guidelines for offense level 20 with no downward variance.  Consistent with this, I call for:

  • A sentence of exactly 40 months.  This is within the guideline range of 33 to 41 months for offense level 20.  A 40-month sentence also carries an additional message to Weinland.  In his theology, the number 40 is the number of judgment.  For example, the Israelites wandered in the desert for 40 year, and it rained for 40 days and nights to create the flood for Noah.  He often cites the death of Joseph Tkach, who died 40 weeks to the day after committing the apostasy that broke apart the church of God.  (Weinland claims that Tkach’s death was the same hour of the day as the sermon, and continues to claim that despite proof that it is not true.)
  • A substantial amount of restitution.  When calculating the amount of restitution, please consider the direct costs by the government to try Weinland: The juror fees for the trial were several thousand dollars alone.  Also consider that the jurors suffered expenses as their lives and lively hoods were disrupted during the trial.  Then there were the costs of the other participants including the prosecution, the IRS special agent, and the other IRS personnel.  Last but not least were the costs for Special Agent Palmisano to conduct the lengthy investigation begun over 4 years ago.
  • A fine in the amount of $75,000.  The guidelines for offense level 20 provide for  fine in the range of $7,500 to $75,000.  The fine imposed should be the maximum amount, considering the costs of incarcerating Weinland for 40 months.
  • Three years of supervised release following Weinland’s release from prison, during which Weinland is not allowed to control church finances or in any manner use any ecclesiastical authority to influence the control of church finances.

In summary, I call for the Court to impose on False Prophet Ronald Weinland a  prison sentence of at least 40-months followed by 3 years of supervision, a $75,000 fine, and a substantial charge for restitution.  A substantial message of deterrence needs to be sent to Weinland and other in similar positions who could repeat these crimes.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

I recommend 63 months and restitution of ALL monies taken in good faith from the church for the years in question to the amount of 3 million dollars, based on tithe records or IRS findings revealed in court, and restitution for financial difficulties resultant from said tithing at the expense of a living wage and suitable employment/housing/sustenance.

As Weinland prophesied and PROMISED that Jesus Christ was returning and PUBLICLY directed his Church to ignore tax and salary issues to donate to his “end-time” ministry, this amounts to breach of verbal contract, and Weinland did not deliver on goods and services promised in good faith. As such a promise is monetary in nature and NOT religious when concerning tax law, this would NOt constitute religious persecution, but rather a business transaction as a not -for-profit incorporated enterprise. As Weinland profited off of these broken arrangements, the monies are not charitable offerings but monies paid to promote the goals of the not-for-profit church in delivering its message – which has turned out to be false, TWICE.

I would humbly recommend your Honor that a sentence of 63 months incarcerated and restitution of the 3 million dollars, after the appropriate taxes were collected, be sentenced upon Ronald Weinland.

Reap it ron you piece of shi* (can i say the real word?) destroyer of relationships/marriage. I wonder if Laura will stay faithful to him….most women leave their guy when they end up in prison. He deserves that too, even though hs wife is a joke and not even worthy of the title

  • FedUp says:

I would add what we called in the army “wall-to-wall counselling” for our religious bully.

  • Anon says:

Mike are you sending this letter to the Judge? Or will the Judge be reading this on your site? It is a very clearly articulated letter.

A typo – “changing the prophesied return of Christ from September of 2011 to May of 2008” should read “May of 2012”.

  • Anon says:

Mike it would be funny to see Ron get a 40 month sentence, which would be your “suggestion” coming true, meanwhile Ron’s “suggestion” that God kill you slowly does not come true. One is just, the other is sadistic.

And by funny I mean ironic, because it is sad. I don’t like to see bad things happen to anyone, not even Ron. If we were all judged down the the smallest detail of our lives, none of us could withstand scrutiny. But he has wrecked lives while spewing very bold and grandiose claims about himself and this is not funny unless you are SURE and you are SURE it is because God actually DOES what you believe he said he would. Ron had so much time to be honest and tone it down he is either mentally ill and very sure of himself, or a swindler. Maybe a psych exam as part of the sentencing is a good idea. What if this poor man is going senile and a victim of his own delusion?

I had never read all of Deuteronomy 18 before this. If Ron believed his own theology then verse 20 is something that would terrify him to misuse:

“But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.”

It seems that the part in Leviticus where you constantly send Ron money is to be obeyed or else, but we can just gloss over the rest of it, yes? Many of these end time prophets must be mentally ill, or swindling atheists, in order to ignore the seriousness of misrepresenting God.

  • Atrocious says:

Mike, I applaud what you have just written. I sincerely hope that Judge Reeves has been reading your blog since the trial so he can get an overview of what exactly has been going on with the people Weinland has affected in his “ministry”. I’m sure the sentencing will be just, and justice will be served. Looking forward to tomorrow’s post.

  • Debbie says:

Very well written 🙂 40 months would be perfectly ironic

  • Whisper01 says:

Well the time grows short now with less than a day until the Judge makes his decision and ruling upon wRONg. I would suspect that there is very little worry about, the judge had a front row seet to the proceedings and, due to his high position, knows his trade and can smell a rat. The jury did thier job in convicting him, the judge will do his. Be it a light sentance or a heavy one, it will be correct as it is legal and has obeyed all the rules and strictures of such a judgement, unlike wRONg who followed only his own desires.

Tick tock wRONg, your time grows short.
I do wonder about the sentencing though, will wRONg fall immediatly into the custody of the Federal Authorities and be escorted from the court and not return home, or will he be able to drive home? Time will tell.

Wishing death on people and having his flock pray for his thunder to happen and million of children killed so he could look like a real prophet like I always said I’m not very smart but my father taught me common since .

  • There’s just a few more hours.
That’s all the time you’ve got.
    A few more hours,
    Before they slip the knot…

I’ve got to be there in the morning

Feather and tar me, call out the army
But get me to the court, get me to the court…
Be sure and get me to the court on time!

Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and ***THEY*** shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Since Laura has not said a single thing publicly, their testimony is not valid.
(The bible teaches that TWO witnesses are REQUIRED in matters that involve a death penalty)

HOUSTON (AP) — A Houston-area minister and his wife have been sentenced to more than three years in prison for income tax fraud.

A federal judge in Houston on Tuesday sentenced Pastor David Montgomery and Bridget Montgomery to 41-month terms. The couple who founded the Restoration Temple Church of God in Christ in Humble (UHM’-buhl) must also pay $550,000 in restitution.

Jurors in August convicted the Montgomerys of conspiring to impair and impede the Internal Revenue Service in tax collections between 2003 and April 2006.

Both were also convicted of making false statements on their 2004 and 2005 returns by under-reporting $2.1 million from their business, Montgomery’s Contracting.

Bond for the couple was revoked Tuesday after U.S. District Judge Lynn Hughes determined the minister tried to intimidate witnesses who had testified against him.

Mike what a honest and wonderful written letter. Wish I could have your talent of writing. At least I know i can out dance you.:)
I do wish the Judge notices what harm Ron has done to families and how some PKG members have disowned their families. As I am one of them. I am very surprised my Aunt Helen disowned me after she felt so bad my dad disowned me long ago.
I try to be tough and act like I really don’t care that she did. But yes it hurts when my only Aunt disowned me over a false prophet and his prophetess because I left the PKG and don’t believe in them. Aunt and I were so close at one time. I know they are control freaks, and hate me. But I do feel my Aunt should keep religion and family seperate. Her choice. I have come to accept it. I know the Weinlands are so proud of her to disown family in their honor. But to put a con infront of family it too pathetic. I know many of you have gone through this.
And yes Cuz Randy, I know all the years of arguing with your mom to get her out was so hard on you and your family.
I am just glad she didn’t convince you to give up on me Cuz…

I like your recommendation Mike. It would be nice if Judge Reeves reads this site, but I am convinced he will mete out a proper judgment. Afterall he was present during all the testimony and evidence. We are all privy to that evidence thanks to your time, effort and expense. For this I thank you. You have also saved me countless hours of my lifetime by reporting his sermons. When I stopped blogging and listening to Ron’s babbling I saved a minimum of four hours of my life per week. But i have always been up to date on account of your dedication. THANKS A BUNCH.

Lets hope he shows up in court tomorrow and is not currently over the Atlantic Ocean at 38,000 feet above sea level sipping Domain Perignon in a recliner made of fine Corinthian leather while the hostess brings him a steak and lobster dinner.

  • gullible says:

Yes, I agree, 40 months has GREAT significance for ron and his followers. However, ron will simply turn it around and say that his 40 months sentence is the ACTUAL judgement coming to the world. “Present Truth” will make null and void all past dates where judgement should have already started.

“I never heard of a prophet in the Bible keeping silent for the whole time of there ministry.”
-ron better quickly change the rules so that women can speak. ron already set the stage in elevating women to be elders, so this would be an easy move. I doubt he wants to give the reigns to anyone not in his immediate family, even though he pretends to trust them. ron should know that “a good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit”. Just sayin’ about ron and his cohorts.

If Ron spends time in the can, he may claim another title: The End-Time Jeremiah (who at one point in his ministry was thrown into a cess-pit by the king).

If only Ron could be sentenced to Community Service, taking care of homeless and destitute folk, serving them food, etc. Perhaps he would finally come down from his elevated position (in his eyes) and acquire a little genuine humility and love for all his fellow man. Jail is a horrible place, and very few people are rehabilitated by incarceration.

    Thanks for everything.

  • Helen says:

Thanks again Mike for all your hard, hard work and time to post all you do for us on the blog. You do wonderful work. And Linda is correct about you being a Lawyer, but I also think you would be a Greal non-Fiction writer also. Best selling Author..
Just to let you know you are appreciated. And with your determination for truth, you have helped many people.
Bless you in all you do….
I will be rushing home for hospital tomorrow afternoon to see what happened in the sentencing…

I don’t think Ron is going to run, if he was going to do that would have disappeared already. If he was going to run, would have been before trial. But then again, he probably thought the jury would drink his Flavor Aid.

And too late for delays. Still on the courtroom schedule for tomorrow.

Hope to be able to report the outcome tomorrow afternoon. In the meantime Helen, I don’t think so. Well, OK if you’re talking zumba. WCS would have you beat.

Too late for delays indeed. I can’t see his lawyers being able to delay any longer. I hope his sentence is immediate. I know of several cases in the states where the convicted is allowed some time before reporting to prison.

Ilike the sound of twenty five years, but I think your estimate of 40 months is bang on.

    All the Ron-king’s horses,
    and all the Ron-king’s men,
    could’nt stop ‘o Bubble-head,
from “weinding” up in the Pen.

    😀 😀 😀

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Let’s just hope that the CoG-PKG see it as JUSTICE FOR THEM…after all the money that has been stolen from them and all the false prophecies that have been brainwashed into their minds…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

4.5 hours to go until Ronald WeinFraud gets sentenced…already a great morning here in the Avalokiteshvara house.

Kids are still asleep, wife is up doing laundry, I have a day off to do paperwork and am happily ensconced in my office with the cat purring away on her cushion on top of my desk, and Ronald Weinland is going to be punished by the US government for being the fraud that he is…heaven!! 🙂

  • Kirrily XPKG says:

Aw, it’s nearly bedtime for me here in Oz, but looks like I’ll be waking up to great news!!! Please 40 months!!!!

  • Velvet says:

    Amen, Jocko, AMEN!

How do you know the chosen ones? Not by great deeds or great words, swelled up with pride and self-righteousness; we are all, to some extent anonymous on here (even Mike) because it’s not about fame or glory, or making names for ourselves. It is about helping one person, in the dark, where no one will ever know or see. And, mark my words, we HAVE helped people, all of us, no matter that we bicker and squabble over minor details (I include myself of being guilty of this), but there are those out there, living their lives now, who have been freed by the light and the truth that we have brought to bear on Weinland’s ponzi scheme. There are people who never got sucked in, because of all of us. There are people whose eyes were opened and they were freed from bondage, because of all of us (yes, even by Jeff Miller’s words, though his motives might not been pure). ALL OF US, even those amongst us who no longer believe in God, or who had turned way from Him as I had, were well-used, and by our words, many more were saved alive than any of us will ever know or guess.

It is a truly awe-inspiring journey that we have been part of, friends. And now that journey is ending, with a sense, for me, that we all, in our own human, and flawed ways, may yet be considered worthy of the blessing, “You have done well, thou faithful and good servant.” Not for fame. Nor for glory. But for one person, in the dark, on the other side of a computer screen, whom we have never met, nor will ever meet. And those people are out there, living their lives free of the false prophet’s grip.

May all of us find favour before the sight of the living God, for this wonderful work He has wrought, through each one of us.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

approx. 3.5 hours now to go until Ronald Weinland discovers he is not above the law as he thinks he is…

I am still embedded in my office, the cat is asleep, and I smell Shiitake mushrooms being pan-fried in garlic in the kitchen by a certain tiny Vietnamese lady…what a great way to start “Weinfraud Gets Sentenced” Day!

  • Matt says:

And still people keep following this greedy, deeply selfish man. Tragic.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

It will be interesting to see their reaction after this sentencing, AND what Laura does next, AND when May 2013 comes around and NOTHING happens…

Can a “true” prophet say that Jesus is Returning THREE times and be wrong?

Not according to the BIBLE, which is what ALL Christians on the planet (except for Ronald Weinland) believe is God’s Word…

  • Debbie says:

Many thanks to Mike for your dedication and hard work – and many thanks to all who have shared their experiences here. My memory is foggy – but when I go back to March 2008 – IronWolf, Weinland Watch (Velvet) and Mike were catalysts for me to examine my own thinking and beliefs and the changes that came as the result.

We have waited a long time for today to come. So many times we had hoped that the sheeple would come to better senses when the timelines failed and Ronnie showed himself for the liar and con artist he is. To me his words and actions have never lined up with what I believed would be the words and actions of a spiritual person.

Ronnie going to prison will not undo the collateral damage caused to family relationships and family finances – but surely locking him away will put a huge barrier on his ability to cause further damage. Hopefully this will curtail any new people being enticed into this cult and perhaps those still hanging on in the cult will have their eyes opened.

Looking forward to hearing the sentencing details.

    P.S. Happy Birthday Randy

  • Camaris says:

I hope everyone impacted by Ronald gets some sort of closure seeing him put away. I have no idea how I feel about anyone falling foul of income tax payments in another country, so I have no strong opinions on his fiscal crime with regard to tax. You might, of course. You can’t escape the human pain Weinland has caused though, because clearly families have been destroyed by him, all the while he has been living the high-life on money given by well-meaning but desperate people, on pain of ex-commnunication of ‘falling out of favour’ in his court. I venture also to suggest that some of those being scammed in this way are those that can perhaps least afford it.

In that spirit, I hope he gets a sentence lengthy enough such that collapse of this ‘church’ is inevitable. Collapse is highly likely now anyway, this is a personality cult and the personality is about to leave the building. Things will trundle on fuelled by the ‘drama’ alone through to next May, but most regular PKG people know in their heart of hearts (go on guys! admit it!) that if Jesus is a no-show then no amount of Evanglist witterings is going to be substitute enough for Ronald. So in reality this is now done. I hope for a speedy closure for all you guys really impacted by PKG.

  • Rterlecki says:

    Thanks deb

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

My thing was with HWA and the WWCG, so Weinfraud’s sentence is not really any kind of closure for me personally. My personal stuff is dealt with, and done…so I get the luxury of watching others get the chance to escape Weinfraud, as well as see yet another WWCG leftover get taken to task for their lies and theft…

2.25 hours to go, Ron…when the court tells the world what we always knew about you…you are a criminal, and highly worthy of conviction and sentencing in court…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Interestingly enough, David Pack has an article on his Church’s website about his own finances, to make sure everyone knows he is above board. I wonder if it is to keep the US Attorney’s Office from focusing on HIS tithe gathering and false teachings!!

    http://rcg.org/sep/articles/doyouknowdavidpack.html

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Rooooon…little over an hour until you are sentenced…

….you cursed us to death and mocked the US law, and now you are going to pay for it…

  • Budgie Smugglers says:

Yeah, I’d agree with you Camaris, take the personality away, and the interest will gradually fade away, like the silly ‘ol bubble-head’s empty promises and prophesies.
    Jesus did’nt come back in 2008 …………strrrrriiiiiiiiike 1
Jesus did’nt come back in 2012 …………strrrrriiiiiiiiike II
Jesus won’t come back in 2013 …………strrrrriiiiiiiiike III

    Ron’s out ! ( into the Pen. )
Now, as I see it, No one has been given the Authority to create a Church of God. ( Christ never had or started a Church on earth )
No one has been given the Authority , or understanding to teach the revelation , much less base a ministry on it.
No one has been given the Authority to claim to select, or claim to seal the 144,000 ( this has not been given to a mortal ) It is for the “Lamb of God” ? ( so one is led to believe )
If Bubble-head has such Authority, he needs to explain to every theologian on the Planet, what the “Lamb of God” is ?
No one has been given the Authority to try to explain the mysteries of the creatures of God, how they are used and the workings of a Heaven.
Like it or not, if we were to know and understand these things, WE WOULD NOT BEEEEEE HERE. Much less be making a living from it !
So, like the CEO of a Company, you don’t tell him or her, that you will see them now, rather, they will let you know ( or not ) when they are ready to visit your branch office ! ( and you better have your reports and house in order, and be telling the truth !) 😀

  • Anon says:

    >>David Pack has an article on his Church’s website about his own finances, to make sure everyone knows he is above board.

The only things in common among all of the ministers of COG, is that there is little if any humility, and that they are all very very sure of themselves, and each is the only one who is authorized and qualified to speak for God.

Can’t think of anything wrong with that. No danger of being manipulated. Consistent with how God works. Uh-huh.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    BUDGIE:

Technically it’s strike 4, as Weinland said jesus was ‘actually returning in Sept. 2011 after 2009, so

    1. No Jesus in 2008/9

    2. No Jesus in 2011

    3. No jesus in 2012.

    4. No jesus in 2013

AND… zero warning to his victims about his crimes, as he knew he was being investigated long before they did.

  • Jack Hertzog says:

A very good proof of Ron’s apostleship would be that an angel would come and open the doors of the calaboose, while Ron is singing hyms, unfortunately I don’t think God likes either the words or the tunes of Ron’s swansongs.

  • gullible says:

Google ads still going active, although someone will need to update the year (2012 to 2013) AGAIN pretty soon.

“The End-Time is Here – 2008 was God’s last warning.
    http://www.the-end.com/
2012 is economic collapse & WW III”

Last posting on ron’s personal site was September 25, 2012, so we should have an update soon from ron.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Amazing how Ronald Weinland’s NO DOUBTS, EXACT, PRECISE TO THE HOUR prophecies that prove he is God’s Prophet have needed to be changed yearly THREE times already, and WILL be changed next May…

  • gullible says:

“For me it was an honor to blog here and get to know each and every one of you. Your acts of courage will inspire me for many years to come.”
-Yes, I second that and would like to thank everyone for sharing here. Did I mention Mike’s tireless effort (especially on this final leg, with daily postings)? What a feast, to have so much revealed!! I would never have imagined that this day would come for ron.

Avalo and Budgie should also be commended for the many contributions of recent as the hour of ron approaches near.

“I hope everyone impacted by Ronald gets some sort of closure seeing him put away.”
ron being sentenced is a recompense and will definitely give closure for me in an almost tangible way. So, this will be a great boost to move on after learning the lessons.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Ah, sweet zero hour is upon us…and if Ron hasn’t run away in fear, he will be walking into the court room right about now to be punished for his lies to the government and to be made an example of…

Ron, I mock you openly and often…you lie and steal in the name of God…and you are scum…

  • Camaris says:

I think a lot of people will still have a lot to post about (and secretly read) here for a while to come yet….

Don’t forget that if there’s one thing that ladies (and some gents) of a certain age and persuasion love more than anything else, it’s something to gossip the hell out of. Well… this is it. I’ve said it before, this isn’t a ‘church’ it’s a glorified knitting club where people have decided to frame their social life around ‘religion’ and define themselves by it and flatter themselves that they live to some sort of altruistic code that most people are too sinful to recognize. With Ronald in the slammer the ladies will be hooked on events right through to next May, which is actually not all that far away now anway.

What time is it in the Day of the Lord? Anyone? Actually hold that thought… time for the sentencing. 🙂

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Well, its my day off, and the kids are off to school, and the wife is downtown-ish in Chinatown getting groceries…what better way to spend the day than to hang around here and encourage and comfort the members of the CoG-PKG while they watch the false prophet who swindled them get punished for his PROVEN crimes against them and the government…

    MESSAGE TO THE PKG:

Right now you are probably wondering why Ron, if he is a Man of God, is NOT being sentenced for his theology, but rather the money he STOLE from you and the government. he has always said give to caesar what is caesar’s BUT that was a lie. He paid for all Audra’s expenses while you went hungry. He bought luxury cars while he told some of you to stay home from the feast because he didn’t want to pay for your expenses…with YOUR money which was supposed to be for God’s Work. Well, buying expensive panties for Laura is NOT God’s Work. Not reporting income to the government is NOT God’s Work. Shipping luxury cars to Germany for his son is NOT God’s Work. You have been lied to. That is NOT God’s Work. You have been told that Jesus was returning TWICE and it didn’t happen in any way, AT ALL. That is NOT God’s Work.

I am an atheist. A really dedicated one. Why is that important to you? Not because I am your enemy or want you to leave God. I am not saying that. I am telling you about my atheism, because RONALD WEINLAND IS ONE TOO. He may not say it, but as a dog knows another dog, an atheist knows another atheist. He is displaying the fruits of the atheist spirit. For me that is OK, because I am not a believer. BUT…it is NOT good for you, because you seek to please God, and the path I walk WILL lead you away from God. What does this mean? I deny God’s Word. AND SO DOES RONALD WEINLAND. he has ignored the Bible, changed meanings, told you things that didn’t happen, hidden his investigation from the IRS from you until he couldn’t any more. That is a rejection of what God’s word says, and it is NO different from what I do.

If you don;t want to be lead away from God, DON’T be an atheist. Don;t reject what is written in the Bible, and FOLLOW Ronald Weinland. He loves MONEY, and has used YOUR money to satisfy himself pretending to be of God.

HERE NOW, as Ron is in court being sentenced for lying and stealing, IS YOUR CHANCE to stop being lead away from God. I don;t know where you may go or what you may do. But others here know these things better than I do. Come here and discuss what you feel, don’t be afraid to admit you are not sure. test all things, hold on to what is good as the BIble says.

Following a LIAR who STEALS is NOT good. The door is open, right now for you to escape…

…ask Jesus or God for the courage…and see what happens…

  • gullible says:

If I was to call something out, to hopefully prevent ron making things up about why he’s in jail, it would be that ron as Jesus are symbolic in nature, and say that Jesus was betrayed and separated from His disciples about the same (or using ron’s favourite word, “exact”) hour that ron is “taken” away from his followers.
ron will then say these next final 12 hours or so going into the daylight portion of the Lord’s Day and until Pentecost 2013 will be the most difficult and that which had really tested Jesus’ disciples, until Jesus’s death. So, he will remind them not to let up at this crucial time and to fight even harder with themselves (which really translates to “Don’t let up supporting me and my family. Fight your evil nature and donate generously to your beloved prophet”)

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    Fruits of the Atheist Spirit:

    1. Ignoring what is written in the BIble.

    2. Not believing what jesus said.

    3. Not following the path Jesus commanded.

    Fruits of Ronald Weinland:

    1. Ignoring what is written in the Bible: “no man WILL know the hour of My Coming”. Ron has had MANY failed prophecies for which he said he would repent of, and DIDN’T. The Bible says the Witnesses will physically die. Weinland CHANGED that…

    2. Not believing what Jesus said: Matthew 19:8 ” You shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness”. Ron has stolen and lied about it to the government.

    3. NOT following the path jesus commanded: “You shall not bear false witness”. Did the Asian Hordes attack before 2012 like Ron prophesied they would, did the US cease asa nation in 2008 like Ron PROPHESIED it would?

Ron behaves EXACTLY the way I behave as an atheist…He just does it in way that involves dressing up in sheep’s clothing to get your MONEY…something I would never do as an atheist.

Thus, Ronald Weinland is LESS moral than an ATHEIST!!

    Run while you can…

  • Budgie Smugglers says:

Hahahahahahaha, The Dave Pack personal testimonial & financial situation report is astonishing !
Its like a disclaimer, and denial for something, he was;nt even accused of , or asked for ? HuH ???
To stir-up all that history stuff, and how everyone in the Herbie Church ( after Herb carked-it ) was a dirty, low-down bastard, ( except for Dave ), lying and stealing their way to fragment and take-over, is absolutely amazing !
Talk about not letting sleeping dogs lie ? Huh ? and bringing out the dirty ‘ol laundry, not just for an aireing, but slapping it in the faces of old collegues ? Amazing, its like he’s sending out ” heat seeker” deflection flares ? . ( What for ? ) A little bit pre-emptive there Dave ?
If ya been a “good boy”, why do ya need to remind everyone ? Surely they already know ? 😀

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    Good point Gullible!

    1. Jesus was tried for religious heresy and found INNOCENT by the legal system, the Roman Court.

    2. Weinland is tried for theft, and found GUILTY by the legal system, the US government.

    3. jesus was accused of lying, and found GUILTY by the religious council of his day, the Pharisees, who organized and mediated Old Testament worship among the common people.

    4. Ronald Weinland is accused of lying and found GUILTY by the religious “court” of his day, the very Church of God theology he pretends to uphold. Pack, Flurry, Meredith, and Tkach Jr. all pronounce him false. And they are right!

Both Jesus and Weinland were tried.

    1. jesus was righteous.

    2. Weinland is a lying thief…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Yes, David Pack is so unbelievably perscecuted and innocent that he must divulge personal SECRETS.

    That’s completely normal…NOT!!!!!

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Here’s my translation of david packs message:

Hi everyone. No financial shenanigans going on over here, npe, t=nothing to see here, move along folks, Meredith is bad and I am good…nope, nothing financial at all here to speculate about…hey, anyone want to know about how poor I am and not hiding any money anywhere or not paying my taxes…I’ll show you filing cabinet if you want! Hey look over there, its Meredith!!

    (runs away..)…

  • And now Ronald Weinland becomes the Al Capone of the Armstrongist Churches of God: Convicted for Income Tax Evasion when no one could get him on anything else.

To which we all say: Good going Federal Government! Good job!

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

A song about Ronald Weinland,s et to the tuen “Rawhide”

    Stolen, stolen, stolen
    Weinland’s bank is swollen
    Keeps the tithing rolling
    He Lied!

    Diamonds, gold and panties
    Stolen from you aunties
    Now they live in shanties
    He lied!

Tithe to me, give me all
    Give me cash, nothing small
    Hurry up, God can’t wait
    He lied!
Tithe to me, not to Pack
    Flurry’s drunk, Rod’s a hack!
Give me more, don’t hold back
    He lied…He…LIIIIIIIIEDD!!

  • chacha says:

Happy Ron Weinland gets sentenced day!

May he get many many years….at least 4…or 5…

I’m gonna go get myself a present!

It’s a beautiful day to be FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

  • Budgie Smugglers says:

Its reported that even now Ron thinks or rather, tells everyone ( probably including Santa Claus ), that he’s persecuted for his religious beliefs ?
So , I wonder if he spent an hour or so at breakfast , for one last time at Starbucks ?
Sorta like his Personal Garden of Gethsemane ? ………. Well, everthing else he says he puts a biblical parallel on it ( I’m ONLY mocking Ron , not Christ )

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Yes, buying for yourself and your son BMWs with church money is the worst persecution of all…

    …what a scumbag…

  • Charlie says:

Avalo – That is freaking hilarious!!!!

  • Budgie Smugglers says:

    Hahahahahahaha, Yes , very clever Avalo ! ( thumbs up ) 😀

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Song by Ronald Weinland: sung to “the Yellow Rose of Texas”

There’s a hellhole in Kentucky, that I am gonna see
I lied to everybody, and now I am not free
I cried when they informed me, that I was going to part
With all my stolen money, and that was just the start

I said that God was talking, to me within my mind
Of course it was all bullsh*t, but my pockets were all lined
With diamonds, gold, and silver, that I took from my flock
And now I must go to prison, and suck a lot of…

  • And the winner is…!

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

…all he does prospers well, BUT THE WICKED ARE NOT SO…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

and…for our Aussie friends: a little verse for Ron, set to John Williams “True Blue”:

    You’re Through, don’t say they’re wrong
    Say You’re not really loco
And Christ’ll be back later on
    Ha! You’re through!

They’ll give it to you straight in the face
    And in another place
And they’ll be back later on
    Ha! You’re through!

  • jack635 says:

Good riddance to Ronald Weinland. Wherever he is now.

  • J says:

10AM EST was 3 1/2 hours ago. Nothing has hit the newswire yet, hm.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Keep your eyes on the prize, folks, we’ll get some something soon! 🙂

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

The court’s schedule has Ron’s case cleared off the calendar…so its over! The question is…what was the sentence?

    I’ll try and find out…

  • Whisper01 says:

The Kentucky Court house says “42 months” was the sentence to Wienland.
Did’nt ask if he had been taken right away or not…
    42 months!

  • Whisper01 says:

Oh, it was Ms. Lynn Battaglia, Deputy in Charge at the US District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky
Covington Division Phone (859) 392-7925 whom gave that info.

  • Anon says:

Three and a half years. Wow. That’s gonna get woven into his timelines somehow. I wonder what new present present truths are coming.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Where is it posted?! Can we confirm it?

3 1/2 years in prison! Ron is going to try and spiritualise that as his Witness…BUT he al;ready said his job as WItness was finished…LOL!!

Ron’s going to prison for over 3 years!!

  • Anon says:

Time times and half a time for Ron. Wow.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    YAY!!! RON’S GOING TO PRISON!!

    🙂 🙂 🙂

  • Anon says:

    I’m FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    yes, you are!!

Ronald Weinland has been caught by his lies and is now going to be taken away…run, PKG, run! Ron can;t chase you or threaten you over tithes any more. You false prophet has been punished…

  • JB says:

Yippee!!!!!! Lets hope he is now being processed and on his way to Club Fed. What a happy day. Hopefully the repayment and fines will also he high.

  • Charlie says:

Too bad they didn’t nail herbie for this back in the day.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Herbie was too slick…Weinland though is a failure at both crime and theology…he is a dimestore false prophet and now a CONVICT…

  • Mark says:

    1) I doubt he was led away to prison. I bet he has a couple more months to “get his affairs in order.”
    2) I doubt he served the entire 3.5 years. I bet he doesn’t even serve half the sentence.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

“Reeves found that Weinland lied when he testified at his trial five months ago…”

Thou shalt not bear false witness.

“U.S. District Judge Danny Reeves also ordered the 63-year-old to pay $245,176 in back taxes and a $7,000 fine.Weinland, who has to report to prison by Jan. 2, declined to comment as he left the federal courthouse in Covington.”

Those were tithes ROn. THose were GOD’S TITHES…

  • 3.5 years is 42 months. We always knew that 42 was the answer to life, the universe… everything.

And a $7,000 fine is a perfect number, although we would have been more impressed if it were $7,777.77.

Now we have a new count down: January 2nd, 2013, 49 days from now, which is 7 times 7 days — obviously a prophetic time, just a Jubilee short, if we take a day for a year. Note that 42 is also divisible by 7.

42 months would be (if we use the year as 360 days as it was anciently — even if it is wrong), 15,120 which, if we consider a day for a year, would put the return in the year 17,120, which is about the same time from now backwards that humans started having weddings and funerals. It would appear the day of the Lord is a long way off, if we use Weinland’s prison sentence as a guide to timing.

I ask you, PKG members, how else could we interpret this?

  • Say, you know, it just accurred to me that 3 1/2 years is the time for the Great Tribulation!

    So that’s it!

The Great Tribulation starts January 2nd, 2013!

  • Jan says:

42 months or 3-1/2 years or 1260 prophetic days = Great Tribulation. Prison is his “place of safety.”

  • J says:

Even if he gets out early for good behavior (which he most certainly will), he still has to pay over $250,000. Then on top of that, he has to file tax returns for 2009-2012 with “corrected” salary figures – which will cost him another huge chunk of change – I’m betting $500,000. Then finally, his followers will be forced to endure without their spiritual leader for at least a year to 1.5 years, AND they have to endure another failed date of Christ’s return.

So either way you look at it, leniency or no leniency, Ron is screwed.

  • And Laura, the Silent Witness, though she probably can’t call fire down from heaven, certainly could go to Jerusalem and blind people from the reflection of the sun off of her diamond rings!

  • No, J, the PKG members will be screwed.

But they’ll hardly notice, since they already have been for years.

And I hardly think that Weinland will be particularly safe in Federal Prison.

    Depends.

  • jack635 says:

He has to pay $245000 in taxes and a fine of $7000?

More like the PKG members have to pay it. Ron gets to spend Christmas at home.

  • Anon says:

The 3 1/2 years will be read into spiritually somehow, even though it is 365 day years, not 260 day years, and since pretty much only the die hards are left it will probably be even more encouraging for those left, throw in a stock market crash which is pretty likely and a couple of earthquakes and the members left will probably be rejoicing seeing all of this as a good sign. Nothing left to do but move on. If anyone else lost family to PKG we probably won’t get them back, just move on but be there for them if they do quit. You will be the one showing godly qualities by doing so, instead of hurting them in their time of need.

  • J says:

Yes, the PKG members paid it, but that’s $250,000 now in the hands of the US Government and not Ron’s. Lesser of two evils…

Which begs the question, just how much cash does RW have stockpiled? We’ve only looked into his activities through 12/31/08. Did the personal spending go up year after year? The $250,000 he has to pony up must be Ron’s personal money not PKG, so it has to be money that he reported as personal income.
