Yet More Time for Ron

(at Covington)

Criminal Action No. 2: 11-70-DCR-001
*** *** *** ***
The Court has received the Presentence Report in this matter and notes that it contains lengthy objections by the parties. As a result, the sentencing hearing will take more time than previously allotted. Therefore, being sufficiently advised, it is hereby ORDERED that the sentencing hearing previously scheduled in this matter for Monday, October 29, 2012, shall be RESCHEDULED for Wednesday, November 14, 2012, beginning at the hour of 10:00 a.m., at the United States Courthouse in Covington, Kentucky.

This 19th day of October, 2012.
/s/ Danny C. Reeves
United States District Judge

So Ron gets to wear the ankle bracelet of humility for a couple of weeks longer while he watches cable TV in the basement of his mansion on the golf course.  The new sentencing date is exactly 4 years since the Seventh Seal was opened for the second time, and 6 years since he sent “2008 — God’s Final Witness” to the publisher.  Also 1 year and 4 days after being indicted.

  • Mark says:

That’ll give Ron a couple more weeks to brush up on his prison slang.

  • That is the day after the New Moon, the day traditionally held as the time for revealing new knowledge when the temple was opened and the prophets of old received God’s Revelation.

I’m beginning to wonder if Weinland will serve any time at all (and merely have to pay taxes and penalties). I was initially skeptical of the conviction and was surprise that he was convicted.

It doesn’t matter: PKG members are following a false prophet and have become sociopaths.

  • Jack says:

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

I am seeing a theme in RW’s theology and his life…nothing ever happens when it is supposed to! 🙂

  • Jack says:

I hope he does not have his sentence affected by the amount of time he has served in Triple Crown Detention Facility.

  • Jack, the most dreaded words we could ever hear concerning Weinland: “Time served”!

But it doesn’t matter: The PKG should leave him because he is a false prophet who is really really bad for them, not just because he’s a convicted felon.

  • Ruth says:

    Well, crap!
The 29th is my birthday and I was hoping a long sentence for Ron would be sort of like a nice birthday present.

  • Jack says:

Douglas the PKG that are still following Ron don’t care about Ron’s failed prophecies. Its all about the Sabbath. The PKG has the “truth”. They are all indeed sociopaths. Nothing can shake their faith in Ron. They are truly lost.

  • Jack, the only good news is if Weinland gets a long prison sentence and the PKG learns what freedom it is to live without him as the noise in their brains.

  • Well, OK.

    The week before Thanksgiving.

    That works.

  • Jack says:

Time served aside, I am expecting a sentence of at least a year. As far as I have gleaned from Mike’s research, Ron should be getting three or more years.

I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop. Who knows what is contained in the presentencing report. It could be some kind of bombshell.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

I’m hoping for a sentence of 40 months.

  • Jack says:

I like that number Mike. Even if “time served ” is subtracted from 40 months, he still gets three long years.
Hopefully time served wont be a factor.
I think you wrote about time served not applying to Ron because of one of the documents signed before trial.

  • Rterlecki says:

I have nothing but time that’s fine get right . We don’t want know one saying they just railroaded the asshole my birthday is nov. 15 what a present folks

  • Rterlecki says:

I just hope they get his talking about everybody wife too

  • Martin says:

I fear Ronald the weasel Weinland will play the delay game, he is after all a master of the game….
with delayed/failed prophecy happening again and again and again….

  • Faye says:

Somehow I fear he will walk away free. It seems that the wicked prevail in this life.

  • Jack says:

Don’t worry Faye, he is convicted of a FEDERAL CRIME. He wont walk away free. His appeal of his conviction was rejected by the Judge. He WILL. be sentenced … eventually.

  • Rterlecki says:

No he will not walk free ! Just like all American they get all the chance they can he is not being (sp) persecuted they are not pickin on him the government is going to show they gave him all they can and he is guilty as charged and when he is sentence they ( the pkg) will say he was pick on lol

  • Rterlecki says:

12 juries only took less then 2 hours to find him guilty . He is going to jail

  • Rterlecki says:

I forgot to say it was all 5 counts they found the asshole guilty on. He only talks about the money in Swiss bank account how about the other 4

  • Jack says:

Perhaps ron’s sentencing has been delayed so Judge Reeves can prepare for a more severe penalty. Twenty five years is a nice round figure that would surely set an example for would-be tax evaders.

    Just a thought.

  • Rterlecki says:

I think your are right mr. Jack they got his ass he is crook they can’t get them for spending all that church money like they are royalty but they will get the crook for what they can hey Ron we are going to have another pres. What’s up with that , no 2/3 of are veg gone no boarders gone the Dallors fine the trade center is rebuilt . No moe BmW for his family’s what an asshole

  • Budgie Smugglers says:

Don’t worry folks, there are many delays in sentencing of fraudulant type of convictions, mainly because there are so many possibilities that can be considered some level of ” intent ” , and further legal argument based on this, and then there is the fact that Judge Reeves also has to consider the ” accomplice”, issue and pre-determination level of the actions of the accused. (* convicted )
So this all adds time to the examination process, it is costly, and also usually ends up going against the accused ( *convicted ), due to the complex nature of such offenses ……… ( they have to research, not just one year, of transgression of tax law, but five in succession, and possibly more. ) Ayway, the longer the process takes, the more publicity , and robust conversation it attracts ! 😀

  • I do note with interest that the amount of the time of delay is quite compressed.

Perhaps that really is a positive sign.

  • Velvet says:

Speculation time: Today, Dave Havir (who runs the micro-splinter “Church of God Big Sandy,” that consists of half a congregation, because the other half split off in 2008) spoke on “False Prophets” and mentioned that he lost one family to another state, and they phoned him (Havir) up, asking for help to get back to Texas. A lot of what Havir said pinged as fitting Weinland (though Havir’s got some pretty questionable “beliefs” himself). Apparently there were two families that were taken in by the unnamed group, whose prophet “spoke at our Feast about 10-15 years ago” — does that fit ILFPRW?

It seems rather uncharitable, not to mention illogical, for you to accuse those still remaining in PKG of being sociopaths…sheep, certainly, but they’re the ones getting fleeced…not fleecing others.

Mind you, Douglas, you once accused me (and a Baptist, but on reflection, the Baptist probably deserved it) of being a sociopath, because I expressed empathy (which is contradictory to sociopathy), for this guy.

I think you need to doublecheck the definition of that word, Douglas. Or else stop throwing it around to brand everyone who ever has been, was, or is, a member of one of the splinter groups of the Church.

(FWIW I don’t think Junior’s a sociopath, either; he’s fulfilling prophecy, REAL prophecy, so he’s really not in control of anything, anyway.)

  • If you notice, Velvet, I certainly did check the definition of sociopath with none other than Dr. Robert Hare and Dr. Paul Babiak.

You are quite wrong, if you had read the source provided, that sociopaths may have empathy, even regret. You are wrong to say that empathy is contradictory to sociopathy.

No, Armstrongists are by narrow definition of having a “conditional” or “group” conscience, sociopaths.

Velvet, go back and do your homework, get your definitions right from the source I provided and use some logic, rather than illogical emotional reasoning.

And do be more careful in your reading in the future.

And Junior may not be a sociopath. I’d pick a different scale from which to measure where he might fall in the assessment of Dr. Robert Hare.

  • Helen says:

    Avalo Wrote:

“I am seeing a theme in RW’s theology and his life…nothing ever happens when it is supposed to! ”

This hits the nail on the head.. Perfect and how true. Makes a good bumper sticker. Great one Avalo!!!! Wish I would have thought of that line. OMGOSH, how funny…

  • Helen says:

OH MIke. I hope they don’t give Ron time served. I just don’t get these delays. Are they common?

  • Now Helen. maybe the judge has set it a week before Thanksgiving so that we can celebrate the holiday more greatfully.

    And no turkey jokes.

    No. Wait! What?!

    Strike that.

    On with the turkey jokes!

  • Budgie Smugglers says:

Another point the Government has to consider in thesntencing, is the ability of the convicted to pay owed back taxes, investigation fees, court fees, fines and so on.
With Ron’s earning capacity or total worth, and the fact that $350,000 tax owed, may only be a fraction of his overall yearly earning capacity, would it be in the Government’s interest, in re-coupment, to have him confined, and be a further tax burden, or liability to Government funds, if incarcerated ? Or would it be more beneficial to get him to pay a security on a good behaviour bond, and have him continue to be self contained, thus able to pay taxes and other legal and general commitments, of positive benefit to whatever Community obligations ? ( it must be considered at least )

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    1. What do you get when you cross a turkey with Ronald Weinland? – a turkey who steals money from the government and has such low self-esteem that he has to bully and lie to get attention.

    2. What’s the difference between Ronald Weinland and a turkey? Turkeys are more ethical…

    3. Why did the turkey cross the road? Because he had the good sense to ignore Ronald Weinland’s theology by running away…

    4. Why doesn’t Laura Weinland eat ham? Because she is not a cannibal…

    5. What did the big turkey say to the little turkey? “hey, Ronald Weinland is selfish a**hole who can only thrive when he takes advantage of the weak…”

  • What’s the difference between Ronald Weinland and a White House Turkey on Thanksgiving eve?

The turkey gets a Presidential pardon!

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

What do Ronald Weinland and turkey poop have in common?

  • Can a turkey jump higher than Ronald Weinland’s House?

Ronald Weinland’s house can’t jump at all.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

How many Ronald Weinlands does it take to change a lightbulb?

None, because it is awesome how God is leading him to show the PKG how bulbs are progressively revealing their light and that we are now in the Day of the Lightbulb which will culminate in the bulb changing in May 2013, this time for sure.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

In Ron;s latest sermon he sets out the rules for who does/does not tithe…then says,”it’s between you and God”…

Well, if it is between you and God then WHY GIVE RONALD WEINLAND THE TITHES?!!!! Does “God’s One and Only Internet Church of Ronald Weinland TAX FRAUD” need that money more than THE HOMELESS?

What is the difference between a Thanksgiving Turkey and Ronald Weinland?

The turkey doesn’t DESERVE to be killed and disemboweled…

  • Martin says:

Ronald is a master at The Game.

He does stuff like this, to cover his tracks.

Now he can tell the government : “See….they are tithing voluntarily”……

    What he should do is
    1) List all the failed prophecies (one is enough)
    2) admit he is deceived and a deceiver
    3) admit that he is a false prophet

  • Martin says:

The ONLY prophecy Ronald Weinland has fulfilled up to this point

Mat 24:11 And many false prophets will rise and deceive many.

  • Kirrily XPKG says:

Humph *slumps in chair*. Another delay, story of Ronnie’s life – he is only delaying his ‘marriage’ supper with Bubba…..

  • Ruth says:

When I brought up tithes to my sister she told me she gave to the church and not Ronald Weinland. She is giving back to God.
In the immortal words of James T. Kirk-” What does God need with a starship?”

I really would like to shake some sense into her.

  • Helen says:

Douglas and Avalo, I needed that laughter tonight. You guys are a hoot!! But Douglas u r right it will be a great Thanksgiving!!! I will be very grateful when Ron goes bye bye on vacation to meet all his new buds..

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

If I remember your posts correctly, you are 24/7 assisting someone in ill health. I have never been in that situation, so I have no idea what it is like. But if my words/jokes are uplifting to you then thank you. If the person is REALLY ill, it must be really hard for you, especially if you are close. It is in these moments that life can get REALLY rough for the religious. “Where is God?”, “Why does God allow this?”, “I have been a totally dedicated, faithful Christian…why doesn’t God give me the desires of my heart and heal this person”, etc.

You know that, as an atheist, I don’t believe in any god of any form. After seeing/reading/thinking about everything, I am very comfortable with there being no god in the Universe at all. But to believers this is a very COLD, terrifying thought in times of trouble and sickness. The Universe becomes a cold, vicious place where no one is “safe”, and no “help” is coming.

If you feel you are facing the abyss and God is not listening to you, let me say something: All gods or abysses aside…you are not alone. Others are hurting tonight, others are celebrating, some are getting married, some are getting divorced…life rolls on relentlessly regardless. Other humans are alive right now all around you going through the same cycles and questions. You and I will spend a lot of time in our lives doing the same laughing, crying, questioning, hating, worrying, and such, at different times. Right now you are in a “troublesome” phase which may seem unfair as others are going through success/happiness/carefree phases.

As I am typing this I look around my environment, and it is “the world” to me. What I see and feel are EVERYTHING that is important in “life” because I am at the center of perceiving it. When I am happy, the world is great. When I am sad the world is shitty. The actual world has not changed very much, but it sure feels like the ‘entire’ world is dark or light when I so happen to feel it. As I look out of my office and see the kids go running by laughing (2 minutes ago) or my cat snuggled up in the corner asleep (right now) “life” is great. The “world” is happy, and nothing is going wrong. Yesterday the “entire” world was shitty because I had a bad day, but the “world” was also great because my wife was really happy.

You will be living in a really mean, unfair world during this time of illness, while I live in a world that is “really damn great”.

But if there is anything that is TRUE about the status of reality that we share is that you are not alone, and I/we cae about you. Whatever sh*t life is throwing at you, we can be here for you to help scrape it off when you are tired and/or lonely, etc.

Life may be hard and/or great…but we are all in it together and you are not alone…

  • Camaris says:

Avalo, I think that is a really good post you’ve made there.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    Well, thank you.

Religion – especially RW’s CoG Armstrongite religion – is a “comfort” to many people: a soft pillow of false hope to land on when life becomes confusing or rough. Religion, to the rest of us who have to live with the consequences of this false hope (Inquisitions, denial of gay rights, the opposition of science, etc), is a sickening poison that creates a ‘Totalitarian Agriculturalist’ state of mind among Christians (and Muslims, Zionists, etc) – that the world is (a) rightfully a product of their God, (b) theirs to control, and (c) all the resources in this world should serve their end(s). Mankind is conditioned to believe that they must be purged of sin – that they need salvation…which will be delivered by the thing that is killing and oppressing them! Ronald Weinland preaches that Man is sinful without Ron’s god, all the while stealing from those he professes need salvation and those whom he decries (the US government) alike. Sinners are merely competition to Ron, fellow humans who are consuming the resources Ron wants to consume so he resorts to ‘totalitarian agriculturalism’ in the form of an imaginary god. But unlike Ronald Weinland, the REAL atheist seeks to sustain and preserve the human being and his/her spirit by uniting with fellow beings…in this case Helen and I. Real hope is tangible. You can get a hug from a human – a handout, a handshake, a 5 dollar bill, a coffee, a shoulder to cry on…

…or you can talk to the ceiling, hoping that a unicorn or a fairy is listening…

  • Camaris says:

I’m personally of the view that Ronald isn’t a straight up con artist. I don’t think he thinks, for example : “I do not believe a word of what I am saying, but will say it anyway so I can con people out of money which they will pay to my bank account for me to spend on luxuries. If they pay, they are stupid and it is their fault.”

The sheer mental gap – the ‘anxiety gap’ a psychologist might say – between the position required to ‘sell a product’ and your own personal belief in that product has to be somewhat close, especially over large spans of time, else only the very, very (and I do mean very) strongest people psychologically can maintain the selling position. In short, if Ron didn’t believe what he says he would go bonkers over time due to the weight of his own egoistic ‘mask’, created to coerce money out of victims. Ron is an extremely good public speaker, for those in doubt. I think he is psychologically very strong. But I don’t think he is strong enough to maintain a flock with this belief system over a decade or more.

No. He believes it too. It’s just he’s woven into his belief some sort of rationale for his spending patterns. I read the Bible this year (not all but three quarters or so) and I imagine he thinks to himself that his family are the Levites and he is the equivalent of Moses. Moses clearly needs money to travel in the modern world. How else to get his important message to people, right? “Spiritual Egypt” is the whole world after all…. And you need to live when you are travelling, right? So that’s all good too. There is no temple these days, right? So… we need a house which is the modern day equivalent of biblical scrip… etc etc. You see where I am going.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

The Anxiety gap in this case is extremely small because his message is narcissistic: “I” am the final X, and only “I” can reveal Y, so give me the money to maintain the lifestyle I deserve for being so special…”. The Moses/Levite comparison makes total sense…if Ron actually understood Biblical theology of any kind. You are giving him way too much credit!
He can only resort to weeks and timelines, as he is CLEARLY a false prophet by any measurement. If he is “Moses” he would have to actually ACHIEVE something!

Moses had a resume…RW has imaginary prophecies that must always remain int he future tense for him to believe the lies he tells to himself and others. Truth can only be “progressive” if Ron is to have any power: he wil always have to keep himself in a state of “I’ll be true next year, just you WAIT and see”. He is True Future prophet…and forever a FALSE past/present prophet.

His followers deserve to be swindled by him though, considering the recorded testimony presented at the trial…

  • Kirrily XPKG says:

What would the average family spend on an average house in the US? Say, a 4 bedroom largish house? What would be considered an average middle class salary be in the US?

  • LindaP says:

The average American earns $41,000 per year. (Ron’s meger $35k was even “average”).
The average American house is worth $272,000 (although the average home in Kentucky would only be $95k).

  • LindaP says:

The average American earns $41,000 per year. (Ron’s meger $35k wasn’t even “average”).
The average American house is worth $272,000 (although the average home in Kentucky would only be $95k).

  • LindaP says:

Just thinking, here . . . if you wanted to buy a house worth . . . oh, say, $381k (just pulling numbers out of a hat) at bank now-a-days would require you to put $76k down (20%). Payments, at 5% would be $1600 per month and they would require you to make about $75k a year. Someone could always put a larger payment down to reduce payment and income requirements, though.

  • Why did the turkey cross the road?
To help the chicken get away from Weinland’s sermons.

What does a turkey lack that Ronald Weinland and the Symbol of the United States has?
    A bald head.

If you put two turkeys together, what would you have?
    The Two Witnesses!

Which has a higher body fat ratio, Weinland or a turkey?
Can’t tell, unless you are talking about the head!

What sort of person makes the best PKG member?
    A turkey!

What does a domestic turkey have in common with Ronald Weinland?
Neither one can fly on its own power.

What will Ronald Weinland have for Thanksgiving Dinner?
I believe prisons serve turkey on that day.

What will Ronald Weinland have in common with a turkey, waiting to become Thanksgiving dinner after November 14th?
    Both will be penned up!

OK, OK! I’ll stop now… for awhile.

  • seaside says:

What’s the best dance to do on Thanksgiving?
    The turkey the pen

  • Helen says:

    Hey Avalo!! Thank you..
It is true when life gets you down the world does seem so poopy. Now since the dear ones health has improved so very much life is so much brighter. Infact, quite beautiful..hope it lasts.
Never wondered “where God was” during this time, but I did wonder if the drs. gave a crapola.. It just took the right dr. to listen and do something about it. Like, ah, listen maybe to our suggestions! And yes I did pray ALOT!! And see Ron thought he was the only one who had a relationship with the Lord…:) sorry Ron, your relationship is with yourself..
That is how the world works. Ups and downs all our life. Hopefully we all have more ups than downs..
Good to know we don’t have to go through things alone, even though sometimes we do. Our choice I guess.
AVALO!! You are not cold!!! The way you adore your family one can tell your heart is full of love and happiness for them and life. You have strong opinions about things, but so do I. Do you think I am cold for believing in my Lord? Well, then why should anyone think you are cold for not believing in what I do. I think we both agree on more things than disagree. And we accept and don’t judge for having differences. At least I hope you don’t judge me:(
I feel like I am really gabbing alot. Could have been the beer I just had…Negra Modelo.
    Hugs to ya all….

  • Helen says:

I wanted to mention what I heard on the news yesterday.. Our country took polls in other countries on who they would vote for on our next president. They only mentioned the Aussies. News said by a landslide the Aussies would vote for President Obama.. Now why would they spend money on taking polls in other countries for America. Now you people know why we are in the hole and how we waste our money…

  • Jocko says:

Aussies for Obama??? They can have him this coming January-And we’ll throw in Hillary too.

  • Budgie Smugglers says:

Hey Helen, Hi ! We have an ex commo sheila for a Prime Minister, whom is smitten by yo President, the “PoLLs ” on who Australia thinks would be the U.S. President, is a waste of your money, your right ! but the only folks here who would be asked to answer that question, is our Prime ministers public sevice staff, numbering many thousands…………most real Aussies don’t like, never have liked Obama, or his pollicies ( amongst other things ), and definately don’t like our P-M ( who didnt win the election BTW, but got in on the climate change party ( GREENS ) votes given to her ) so I would’nt place much faith in that poll ………… like everthing else in our ( half-commo ) politics here at the moment……… its rigged !

  • Helen says:

Haha Jocko. We were going to send them to Australia.. NO? You don’t want them?
Budgie that is funny. So the polls were mainly your P.M. and her public staff. Yes, i figured it had to be rigged. I know Aussies are smarter than that!! Please take Bambam for us.. We call Obama BamBam. Incase you were wondering.
So much for the polls hey..?

  • Helen says:

Sorry Jocko. You are not an Aussie. I re-read it. That was cute. We will throw in Hillary.. haha Good luck Aussies. You will need it.. What a pair. Dum and Dummer…

  • Budgie Smugglers says:

Hahahaha BamBam , that’s funny, ………. I could think of a more appropriate nickname, ( but Mike DDTFA might ban me ) ……. 😀 but, whats this about Hillary ? Listen guys, If ya don’t want them, send ’em to England, or some god-forsaken place in Europe ? WE DEFINATELY DON”T WANT THEM ……. down here ………… we’ve got enough of their d***-head types here in Australia, we’re try’in to get rid of ! 😀

  • Helen says:

We should send them all to North Korea or Russia maybe? WAIT!! Let’s see which country hates us the most. hmmmm that is a toss up… Some people call Bambam the Anit-christ.. one of his henchmen. No joking on that one. Found it on the web..

  • Helen says:

OH. And lets not forget ron and laura, they can take them too.

  • Budgie Smugglers says:

Send Laura and Ron to Gaza, set them up in a little preaching stall , and don’t forget to give them a couple of motorcycle helmets ……. ( to deflect the rocks and stones ) Hahahahaha 😀

  • Velvet says:

“If you had read the source provided, that sociopaths may have empathy, even regret. You are wrong to say that empathy is contradictory to sociopathy.”

Your source is wrong, and with advances in science and medical imaging, your source is also quickly passing its best by date; in my personal (and far too up close) experience in dealing with actual, real sociopaths, they have no empathy, because they are incapable of feeling it (not their fault — that bit of their brain is broken, or missing, or burned out or something that scientists haven’t quite mapped fully yet, but they are closing in) There was an excellent documentary with updated research (post-Hare), the full documentary is on Youtube you could watch it, it’s fascinating — and the diagnosed sociopath ADMITS quite adamantly that he has neither empathy nor compassion, nor even indeed love, not even for his own biological family.

This is consistent with my own personal experience (which, I’m sorry, trumps any and all books, including the Bible), where the sociopath in question quite unabashedly made it clear that people were little more than pawns to be manipulated to serve the sociopath in question…unless they were too keen and saw through the facade to the empty, empathy-lacking shell beneath…in which case said pawns would be dropped like hot potatoes, because nothing, no other human being on earth has worth, relevance, or indeed even intrinsic meaning as an individual, to a sociopath…you are there to serve him and his whims, or you are in the way. And may God have mercy on you, if the sociopath decides you are “in the way” — for example, by calling them out on the manipulation and control over other people they are exerting (or attempting to exert).

I don’t think group psychosis (which is entirely plausible, IMO) is the same thing at all as “group sociopathy” — which is by its very nature an oxymoron, as sociopaths are absolutely incapable of seeing themselves as a part of anything, rather than seeing their individual self as above everyone and everything else (including God).

You can spout the definitions and the textbooks all you like. I’ve lived with it, I know what it is. Sociopaths are absolutely incapable of feeling any empathy whatsoever. Which is good news; if you feel empathy, that means you’re still human. Which sociopaths decidedly are not, as a result of defects and deficits in their physiology, as per the documentary I linked to, above.

  • Velvet says:

“I’m personally of the view that Ronald isn’t a straight up con artist.”

I disagree. If he believed any of it at all, there’s no way he would have kept stringing people along like he did. Even Armstrong admitted in his later years he was wrong to say things were coming as quickly as he did (the sermons are on the Internet, if you don’t believe me). Rotten Ronnie? Not so much. He’s absolutely handing out the FlavorAid, but not drinking any of it himself.

  • Budgie Smugglers says:

More time for ‘ol Bubble-head due to lengthy objections by the parties, Huh ? excuse me but I thought he was found guilty and convicted of five counts of tax fraud ? and, after a lengthy investigation by the IRS ?
I thought 1: there was no appeal filed and 2: appeal can only be filed after sentencing ? What the hell can be possibly being objected to, if a sentence has’nt been handed down yet ?
Thats like agreeing to have a house built, and objecting to the way its built, before brick one is even laid ? ………… sorry but I just don’t get it ?
Is a judgement now not trusted or in doubt in some way ? and up for further debate, like in some 2-bit TV game show ? ( honestly, I thought I was starting to get a grip on the U.S. justice system ? 🙁

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

The pre-sentencing report does not change Ron’s guilt, just addresses how guilty he is. That is, it can influence the length of the sentence and also at which institution he ends up serving his sentence. 25 years at a maximum security may be what we want, but 40 months is more likely.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

They should sentence him to living in prison until he “dies speedily from the inside” – as punishment for uttering death threats in the name of God…which of course would be a life sentence if the word of Ronald Weinland is anything to go by…

    Hey Mike,

How many times do you think they will postpone Ron’s sentencing? Was hoping tomorrow was the big day for him.

I have a feeling that Judge Reeves will drive this to a conclusion on November 14.

    Hi Mike,

Hope all is well and looking forwarded to hearing that Ron will be assigned at least a 3 year jail sentence this week. Thank’s for keeping us posted and hope all is well!
