A Quantum Leap in the Front Row Seats to the Final Countdown

False Prophet Ronald Weinland ended the Days of Unleavened Bread on Friday in Australia. His sermon was focused on the impending return of Christ in 6 weeks.  He referred back to the Last Great Day sermon as a test of whether his members believed that PKG is the true church.  Ron stated that he believes in Christ’s imminent return with everything he does, but went on to talk about how even if it doesn’t happen we are in economic difficulties.  Since Ron is so totally committed to the certainty of Christ’s return on Pentecost/Memorial Day weekend, then he didn’t pay the property taxes on his house last fall.  And he’s not funding the defense team in his criminal trial or otherwise preparing for trial, since the trial begins a week after Ron joins Elohim.  But then Ron DID pay his property taxes last fall.  Hmmm.  Wonder how trial preparation is going.

Ron marveled at what would happen after joining Elohim.  As a spirit being he would be able to pop in on people when he want … oh, never mind — there would be limitations.  He compared being able to look down from above to his experience at bungee jumping in New Zealand.

Ron promises a sermon next week with new revelations from God that will make Satan angry and frustrated.  Satan thinks he has led the church into a trap, but Satan is only a pawn.  Even though 10 nations have still not yet arisen, events will proceed according to God’s timing. The Red Sea will part at the last minute and pull Ron’s fat out of the fire.  Ron also promises that we will be able to see all the final events on TV or in some way.  Uh, huh.

For the Saturday services, Ron announced an ordination of a new elder but would not give Matt’s last name because of different web sites on the Internet that harass his elders.  Not sure which web sites these would be, perhaps their authors fell victim to the death curse Ron issued in December of 2008 against anyone who would criticize either him or the church. He also ordained Charmaine. After these announcements, Ron turned the mike over to his evangelists for a split sermon.

Wayne Matthews gave the first part, talking about the unmistakable proof of Christ’s return which God places in the mind.  Unlike all the kooks who set dates, this one is for real because it’s part of God’s perfect plan and God never changes dates.  Seems that God lies, because he gave the date of last year’s Feast of Trumpets to Ron first.

Wayne believes Jesus will be established as king at the end of the sabbath in Jerusalem on May 26 because God placed the truth in his mind.  He stated that it could absolutely be proven that Christ returns on Pentecost, and then went on to give a muddled explanation based on Ron’s interpretation of scripture.  Which included a statement that Christ was put on the stake (not cross) at 9 AM and died at 3 PM.  Provable.  So Wayne, where is the proof of those times? Was it 3 PM and not 3:01 PM?  Is this time from 2000 years ago more closely defined than the moment of Joe Tkach’s apostasy 17 years ago?

Wayne referred to the infallible charts on the website, which would include the one that gives the disproven claim that Joe Tkach died to the very hour 40 weeks after delivering the sermon of apostasy in Atlanta.

Wayne reiterated that everything was going according to God’s perfect plan, bombs will go off here and there.  It will be obvious to everyone when Christ returns.  That some PKG members will watch other PKG members converted to spirit beings (PKG’s equivalent to a rapture) on that day, less than 6 weeks from now.

Johnny Harrell reiterated the PKG members have a front-row seat to events, and warned them to fasten their seatbelts.  But some PKG members will not wait, with Satan fighting a battle in their minds.

I wonder how it is PKG members know that it was God and not Satan who put it in their minds that Ron is God’s prophet and speaks for him.  And how it is that the last 3 1/2 years have been a training period for the sealed when Ron’s book states that the sealed were fully trained at the moment of the sealing on September 30, 2008.

And what their reaction will be at 12:37 PM on May 26 in Cincinnati when bombs have not gone off and the PKG members who are part of the sealing have not joined Elohim?

  • Well, it figures. “Quantum” is the smallest possible measurement for an event. Quantum leap just isn’t going to take us very far, which sort of goes with the them of Rotten Ronnie’s sermons — the smallest measure of stupid possible.

Mike, are you sure we are reviewing PKG sermons here or reviews from one (or more) of the “Terminator” movies?

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Ron spends a lot of time with the cable TV on. I wonder if he’s been watching the SciFi channel lately and if they’ve been rerunning Quantum Leap and The Final Countdown.

  • Atrocious says:

“Johnny Harrell reiterated the PKG members have a front-row seat to events, and warned them to fasten their seatbelts. But some PKG members will not wait, with Satan fighting a battle in their minds.”

So, when does the movie begin? These people paid good money to see the movie and they’ve been sitting there in the front row waiting and waiting and waiting…and nothing happens. Just those stupid advertisements and idiot cartoons. And, they’re told to just sit tight, the movie will begin…sometime…er…maybe…and, well, if it doesn’t, at least they can go home having seen some advertisements and cartoons. Oh, and if they get the notion in their heads that there won’t BE a movie and get up and leave, well, they are motivated by satan. Classic. C’mon people. It’s not God they are listening to. Wise up and leave the theater. Nothing is going to happen to you except getting out of total insanity. Don’t expect to get your money back, though. And, when you get home, you can breathe a sigh of relief that you didn’t have to continue sitting there listening to lie after lie after lie that the movie was REALLY going to start and that THIS is the only theater it will play in.

Mike, I don’t know how you do it, but kudos to you for listening to all that garbage every week so we don’t have to.

  • Kirrily XPKG says:

Do they get free popcorn at least?

  • Atrocious says:

Nope, Kirrily. They have to pay extra for popcorn and soda, in anticipation for the movie, because the proceeds “helps” the movie to come on. But after the popcorn and sodas are gone, and they’re still waiting for the movie, they don’t get paid back for that, either. All they get is what they leave in the toilet.

  • jack635 says:

Ron firmly believes that Jesus is coming on the 27th of may. Someone firmly believed that the Titanic was unsinkable. Ron’s date and story will sink with the setting of the sun on the evening of May 27th.

  • martin says:

    40 days.

    40 days for
Worldwide Mark of Beast to appear.
    10 Nations to Unite.
1/4 Mankind to be killed, and later 1/3 of mankind….
False Prophet to deceive world with miracles, one being the calling down of fire from heaven.
Enslavement of latter day descendents of non-repentant (so far) Israel. There deportation to foreign lands.
Overrunning of middle east by Asian super army.
Numerous plagues, terrible hail, terrible earthquakes, terrible meteor showers.
Sun to turn black, Moon to turn blood red.

It takes a whole lot of blind faith to believe this will occur in 40 days.

And yet he did his taxes, and still has lawyers on his payroll.

A waffle has more backbone than waffling Ronald Weinland.

  • We’ll find that the scenes of coming attractions are more interesting than the movie.

Anyway, those present to watch the movie don’t seem to have the special glasses it requires and everything will be a blur.

Imagine the headaches after the show.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

The whole bunch of charlatans in charge of the PKG have committed to this. God has ABSOLUTELY guaranteed it…will be interesting to watch the stupidest-of-the-stupid among us keep on going after May 27th, running right back to Ron to start suckling on his big prophetic sow-teats again.

  • Rambo says:

    Anyone notice 40 days left?

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

As of 12:36 PM Cincinnati time on Monday, 40 days of judgment on ……. somebody. Actually, that will start on June 4 as Ron’s criminal trial gets underway.

  • Chacha says:

There is no god. If there is one, he’s a prick.

  • Chacha says:

It is going to take some quantum bungie jumping to pull this off ron.

  • FedUp says:

Ron is promising “new revelation” next Sabbath? Can’t wait. Let the backtracking begin!

  • Whisper01 says:

“Ron stated that he believes in Christ’s imminent return with everything he does, but went on to talk about how even if it doesn’t happen we are in economic difficulties.”

Hint: If I am unable to grad a rabbit from my hat then you must remember we are in difficult economic times… so you had best stay with me even if the magic trick fails for you must remember, we are in difficult economic times… I mean, if we weren’t well then ya you could go find another splinter group and all, but that’s not the case as we are in difficult economic times. As everyone knows when we are in difficult economic times, even if the magic does not happen, there is no other real choice to make but to stick with me after all…

    Is this retarded?

  • Atrocious says:

Retarded? How about asinine, insane, horrendously stupid, and yes, morbidly retarded. That one marble he’s got inside his head for a brain has been rattling around in there bouncing off his skull too long and now it’s cracked, ready to break into little itty bitty pieces. ROtteN wRONg moRON!!!

  • martin says:

The “new revelation” is that the tribulation is 7 years. That’s why we haven’t seen anything yet. It hasn’t started yet.

  • martin says:

Oh and that everything is spiritual.

  • Atrocious says:

Oh, but you see, everything he wrote in his books are REVEALED BY GOD and to prove he is who he says he is, EVERYTHING WILL HAPPEN EXACTLY AS IT IS WRITTEN IN HIS BOOKS.

Everything was written from his own imagination. The voice he hears in his head is not God’s voice. Nothing happened like he said. He is a false prophet!!!

  • Don D says:

Who’s going to put their neck on the line and predict that Ron WILL ADMIT THAT HE WAS WRONG ALL ALONG? Mmmm… on second thoughts that IS a pretty implausible scenario! So, next question: Who will Ron blame for his getting the date entirely wrong? God? Satan? The PKG Church? Or will be blame the all-inclusive WE, in a pathetic attempt to avoid taking all the blame himself – as he’s done before?

Remember when he humbly confessed that “WE were mistaken in our belief that once the Seventh Seal was opened the Great Tribulation would begin”, or words to that effect? Conveniently failing, of course, to mention that WE only held that belief as a direct consequence of Weinland repeatedly teaching that for years as a special revelation from God to his anointed End-Time Prophet – see page 59 of “2008 – GFW”. So that if he blames WE, we all know that he means WE as in WEinland!

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

I don’t think that Ron will admit to being wrong. He will either spiritualize things, or come up with new signs and lying wonders which to keep stringing along the deluded.

  • Atrocious says:

“I don’t think that Ron will admit to being wrong. He will either spiritualize things, or come up with new signs and lying wonders which to keep stringing along the deluded.”

I don’t think there have been any old signs, but there’ve been a whole bunch of lying wonders. He hasn’t produced a single sign…no water into blood, no fire falling from the sky, nothing. But he sure does lie a lot. And snort, and snigger, and mock, and threaten, and cajole, and extort, and lie, lie, lie, lie, lie.

  • Whisper01 says:

“I don’t think that Ron will admit to being wrong. He will either spiritualize things, or come up with new signs and lying wonders which to keep stringing along the deluded.”

This is no doubt the most informed opinion, and no doubt the correct one.
But did not Ron back off the whole “Satan has been whispering to me in my sleep” creation of a escape hatch from this non-end times scenario because his sheep where arroused out of their normal coma due to a “non-return of Christ”? When Christ does not appear on beams of light and clouds etc… then won’t the same sheeples, who became so vocal that Ron felt he had to ease off the “escape hatch #1” hand lever, be oh so disapointed in the Ronster as he was not a prophet, not a witness, not a (fill in blank with title) as to cool down this “Rons Church of God and Tithes”?
I agree whole heartedly that the self deluded will continue to be deluded, but are not many hoping for a exodus from the House of Ron to where-ever in the hopes that the other splinter groups are less damaging than Rons? (or by some means out of the WWCG all togethor)? How many do you speculate, percentage wise as we don’t know his numbers, will remove themeselves from Rons little Con game within 3 months of May 26-27 passing (really May 22-23 as Ron needs to die in the streets of the J-City or the whole Jesus return thing is a no-go)?

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

I am beginning to understand how Ron can say things will happen exactly as God revealed them, and then change everything when nothing happens at all…

    1. Ron writes 2008-GFW
    2. Nothing happens.
    3. This is because God has revealed the fuller version of the truth.
    4. Thus God has revealed EXACTLY what is going to happen FROM NOW ON.

The ease in which Ron changes and ignores his “prophecies” is that IN HIS OWN MIND things are happening EXACTLY as God REVEALS THEM TO HIM, not actually according to the truth value of what Ron actually SAYS. So if people doubt, then Ron gets exasperated because he is always a few steps ahead of everyone in his mind and conveniently ignores the meaning of “truth” and ongoing revelation. Not to say this is acceptable, especially from a MINISTER. But seen in this light, it is easier to understand how Ron can fool the low IQ, non-viable “humans” that follow him now.

CHACHA said: “There is no god, and if there is he is a prick…”

It is nice to see you realizing the full extent of the impact that the Bible/Koran/Torah and their teachings have had on humanity. yes, yes…thousands have been fed and helped, yes the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris is pretty. What is NOT acceptable is that Christianity/Judeism/Islam has caused most of the problems it pretends to alleviate. On behalf of the victims of Judeo-Christian “love” over the centuries, we atheists, agnostics, scientists, homosexuals, Jews, intellectuals, artists, writers, and philosophers applaud you Chacha for taking an ideological and spiritual stand against a god we have all searched for and begged for help, only to hear silence and watch our world roll on unaffected. But the beauty of free thought is that you can live free, knowing that you have been “blessed” enough to be alive in this amazing period of history; modern medicine, technology, the arts, ease of global travel, etc. Things sure aren’t perfect, but even the greatest kings of the past didn’t have dentistry, medication, running shoes, clean water, or even toilet paper!

I can grow old and go to my grave happy, knowing that I stood tall like a man, faced the world, and carved out of society an existence where my family and I can live out our lives comfortably and with nobility. First and lastly by throwing off the shackles of ancient Crucifixion voodoo, and standing up for my human dignity.

I cannot and would not want to stop you from believing what you believe, as stupid as I think it is. You have freedom of religion, and so do I. What I am suggesting is…stop prancing around preaching the Gospel (trust me, we have heard it for centuries, and many of us will ALWAYS reject it no matter how much you love Jesus with all your heart). Get out here with the rest of us, and fight for ACTUAL justice and peace in THIS world, not your magical, happy place that you are sitting around waiting for, and ignoring the real world issues we must solve, soon.

Put down your Bible and grab a hammer, register to vote, donate to the SPCA, give a homeless man a sandwich, cuddle an AIDS baby, donate blood, recycle, go to a real college, and stand up for ALL of humanity, not just your magic friends in the sky…and please, just shut the f*ck up about your Space Pope…the world needs solutions, not Communion…

It is a shame that many would allow one false prophet to shipwreck their faiths in a God or the Bible.

Those who volunteer to be enslaved by Ronald Weinland after so much evidence is one thing, but Ronald is responsible for the shipwrecking of the faiths of many.

    The bible prophesied that
    1) MANY (not just one or two or three) false prophets would come
    2) They would deceive MANY
    3) MANY would be offended
    4) There offense would lead them to shipwreck their faith

    All this was fulfilled.

(Of course RW was not the only one who has done this)

  • James says:

It will be said of Ron as it was said of Herbert Armstrong:

“Armstrong was a man utterly without honor, without principles, without a shred of genuine decency or patriotism. He was the ultimate exterminator of religious life for thousands, and the grand compelling creator of a vast army of atheists.”

  • YYZ says:

  • YYZ says:

….just dont drag your kids through it all!!!

  • martin says:

I sometimes wonder if christian believers read their bibles at all.

I would ask them, “Did you know that God sometimes sends false prophets into the church?”
The bible explains this in both the OT and NT, and the reasons He does so.
When one realizes he has been deceived by a false prophet, instead of being offended they should be elated. Elated that they know, and can remove themselves out from under such a one (otherwise they are still deceived and this state is worse than finding out one has been deceived).

Does it hurt? Yes. But they should be glad they found out in time to escape, and to do something about it.

The devil is served if you are deceived, he is served if you become offended, he is overcome if you overcome the deception.

  • Kirrily XPKG says:

Martin, you give Ronnie to much credit for creating atheists. It’s also an insult to our intelligence.

Just because I believed some dickhead like Ron for a while on its own did not turn me. Nor do I think for one minute it turned Chacha.

I’ve explained my reasons before and can’t be bothered to do so again.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

James: You can count ME as one of those atheists that HWA built out of tithing and overly-disciplinary parents who can more about being right than being loving. I made an alter out of my misery, and burnt it to the ground, fuelled by the memory of purple hymnals and issues of The Plain Truth.

Now, I wake up in the morning beside the greatest woman on the planet, and start my day by cooking for and hugging my brilliant not-so-little-anymore daughters. Then I traipse off to work, many a stack of money, come home, shower, and pursue my hobbies. Then its time for hockey on CBC, and snuggles with the wife, nitey-nite hugs for the girls, brush my teeth, then off to bed with my silky, lithe little Vietnamese wife where (CENSORED), followed by a peaceful night’s sleep in her arms.

Not a single god in sight, not a single tithe paid, not a single spiritual fear, not a single worry about some stupid afterlife, no Bible study, no cowering in fear before tragedy, accidents or cancer wondering where god is hiding while I wallow in miserable confusion. I am a human, I am a man. I will go to the end of my days free, free, free.

…and to top it all off, there’s my soft, sweet, lazy, tuna-obsessed cat…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

God sends False Prophets?!!!! GOD provided the “opportunity” for Kirrily to almost NOT have kids because of RW? The OT/NT proves it? Where? PLEASE SHOW ME, as I want to see for myself just how HUGE a c*nt God is for doing so…

Sure, the PKG should be “elated” that they had the chance to be swindled and spiritually abused so they can know what it is like personally. And little girls should be “happy” to have been molested as children so they can know how much God doesn’t like sexual abuse?

Nice reasoning there, Martin. You just made me even more proud to be an atheist and enemy of the theology of imaginary gods like YAHWEH than before!

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

It’s well demonstrated that Ron’s god, the one he created in his own image and own likeness, does not exist. So much for the 7th thunder.

And Martin’s god sounds a lot like Ron’s god, who created evil and Satan as part of his plan.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    1. Would Jesus Christ, as a part of YAHWEH/Elohim, condone a False Prophet to abuse and emotionally damage/destroy a person for their spiritual “benefit”, after chastising the Pharisees for doing so? (“Strain at a gnat…”)
    2. Would a god like that REALLY be the same god that Jesus said we should pray to?
    3. Does the implication that god hurts people to make them happier seem sane to you?
    4. Does a loving god will DAMAGE on people, or come to their aid AFTER someone OTHER than him wills/does the damaging?
    5. Do love and damage both occupy the same spiritual space within the ‘heart’ of a loving god?

    According to your logic: yes.

My conclusion: Your fake god before whom you grovel and bleat is a badly written character in an even worse piece of Bronze Age fiction that you believe is biographical…

  • Anonymous says:

From the responses that have been posted so far, the combination of both sermons between Mr. Matthews and Mr. Harrold, the spiritual messages were completely missed or overlooked as they have been on many other ocassions. Scriptures tell us that the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God for they are foolishness to him (1 Co 2:14) and without the holy spirit they are unable to discern spiritual things. One important central theme of Mr. Matthews sermon focused on the question of the 40 days that Jesus Christ spent with the Apostles following his resurrection, to the 10 days before Pentecost.

Central to Mr. Harrolds sermon was faith(Heb 11). When we process both sermons with knowledge and understanding of the scriptures, we can discern from the messages that the Apostles spent those 10 days waiting in faith for the promise of the Holy Spirit of God (Acts 1). The Apostles were trained and prepared to witness for Jesus Christ and by faith, teach and preach the Good News. Additionally, in the days before the Great Flood, the earth was filled with violence and corruption as it is today. According to Hebrews, many partriarchs including Noah were inspired through faith. Noah was inspired by faith for 120 years to build an ark and to enter it with his family and all living creatures commanded by God. Seven days after Noah entered the ark, it began to rain for forty days and 40 nights upon the earth. Many scoffed and laughed at Noah, but the rain came. So, it is by faith that the Church of God-PKG believes that Jesus Christ will return may 27, 2010. The 10 days before Pentecost 2012 is significant as it will test the faith of many. The past Sabbath sermons were not about a quantum leap in the front row seats, but a message of FAITH. Without Faith it is impossible to please God. ( Heb11:6).This is not a challenge but a clarification.

    2. All women get equal pay, and equal opportunities for education. No man or woman gets special treatment, gay/straight/other.
    3. No churches. Waste of wood and manpower.
    4. I appear to whoever needs me and teach them what they need to learn in order to be self-sufficient and proud of their own efforts.

Let’s see. April 29 is Ron’s first Sunday back at home. Why that date?

Johnny Harrell (Is he saying he is Johnny Harrell?)

At any rate, what will your response be after Christ does not return?

Will your response be, finally, proof that he is a false prophet? Or will you accept any excuse RW dishes out (in the form of “new truth”?

  • martin says:

Already asked, but on what foundation do you base your faith?

When Christ was asked if he was the Messiah, he listed FRUITS. (blind see, deaf hear, dead raised, all with multiple witnesses from enemies and disciples alike)

Ronald Weinland claims to be a prophet, what are his fulfilled prophecies? (not the ambiguous nonsense, that a weatherman can give)

    1) has he breathed fire?
    2) has he turned rivers to blood?
    3) has he stopped the rain?
    4) has he called out any plagues on anybody (that is, that came true)?
    5) is he hated by the world?

You do realize he has NO INTENTION of going to Jerusalem to die, don’t you?
At best, he will go, and sit in some posh hotel over there.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

PKG members are like Charlie Brown, who has boundless endless faith that the next time Lucy will hold the football still so that he can kick it.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

He is going to pull the “it’s not time yet” trick. When he made the “God is fooling Satan into a trap” statement, he essentially said that all RW’s prophecies were a trick to fool Satan.God needs “tricks” and “traps” to fool Satan? He’s f*cking GOD! Since when did YAHWEH become the Norse LOKI?! This was all just a big trick God pulled to get satan off his rhythm?

I hope every single f**king PKG member gives EVERYTHING they own to Ron so they can discover on their own just how much “God” loves them when they are at the unemployment office, at the bank filing for bankruptcy, or explaining to their kids over dinner how Daddy and Mommy can’t ever help pay for their college education because God decided to sleep in on May 27th to fool Satan.

A whole new generation of future ex-COG atheists almost ready to birthed here!!

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Now you can see the world through my eyes. Quite interesting what one sees when they honestly seek God and truth, and nothing happens…as Kirrily said, she sought earnestly and honestly for God. She was trying to reach out to God and show Him that she wanted to know what was true and follow it passionately. And the resulting silent told her all she needed to know. Her goodness, and her desire for truth IS not from God, she can get it on her own as a human. Her fairness and compassion were all self-generated, and a person can live a joyful life, glorying in the simpel fact that we are HERE NOW, and we are ALIVE.

    1. Her joy is hers.
    2. Her handsome little son is the result of HER love and HER body. He is a wonderful work of creation that KIRRILY gave to the world.
    3. Her LOVE fills her and her family’s life with joy and peace. The joy and peace that a silent, distant God REFUSES to offer unconditionally.

OR…she could just trade all that away and wait silently in the dark for fulfilment that never arrives…and fool herself into thinking that this is LIFE…

Religion is a fiction that holds us down and makes us subservient to any and all passing sociopaths…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

And if Jesus is out there, then his “patience” is beginning to be revealed for the self-glorifying, divine sickness it is…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    BUT…to be fair…

If we humans can still find a way in 2012 to make people like the Kardashian girls millionaires for doing NOTHING while most of Africa starves, then maybe we deserve an Apocalpyse for our EPIC inhumanity and stupidity…

-It’s the media that keeps feeding that krapdashian. The injustice and inhumanity in this world is incredible when you look at the haves and have nots. How do we solve the world’s problems when the people in power controls the world and their means is through greed, murder, corruption and deception, just to name a few. Haven’t we tried through all forms of governments? Voting those people out isn’t going to do anything, they’ll just replace them with another puppet for the “elite” and then the media machine goes to work against the people/sheeple again. These false prophets are just part/pawns in the bigger global moral breakdown of every facet of society. Yes, we do deserve an apocalypse if you think in those terms.

Anonymous, you said on April 16, 2012:
“So, it is by faith that the Church of God-PKG believes that Jesus Christ will return may 27, 2010. The 10 days before Pentecost 2012 is significant as it will test the faith of many. The past Sabbath sermons were not about a quantum leap in the front row seats, but a message of FAITH. Without Faith it is impossible to please God. ( Heb11:6).This is not a challenge but a clarification.”

OK, Anonymous, are you reading this? Ar you listening? You have given your CLARIFICATION. I issue my CHALLENGE…..

If you have FAITH, along with the Church of God-PKG, “that Jesus Christ will return May 27, 2012” (I’ve corrected your typo of ‘2010’), I CHALLENGE you to return to this site ON MAY 28, 2012, and tell us exactly what you learned about the nature of the “faith” that you held on April 16, 2012. I invite you to tell us on May 28 if you will still think that YOUR FAITH WAS RELIABLE and enabled you “with knowledge and understanding of the scriptures”, to correctly discern that Jesus Christ would return on May 27. You are the one who suggests that, unlike many of US on this blog, YOU are able with the Holy Spirit to discern spiritual truths by faith.

Well, the time to test the truth of those claims is nigh (unlike the return of Jesus Christ)! I invite you to return to this site on May 28, and point out how valid was your faih and your discernment of scripture.

However, if Jesus Christ fails to return on May 27, will you have enough honesty and integrity to admit that your claim to a spiritual understanding of scriptural truth was no more than a worthless and and empty boast? And will you then, ponder deeply on WHY you got things so wrong? Will you admit the possibility that you have simply been misunderstanding for years and years what scripture is really all about?

Or will you “do a Weinland” and invent endless and labrynthine excuses as to why you got things so wrong?

Anonymous, do you accept my challenge? For my part, I undertake that if Christ returns on May 27, I will happily go online and admit my utter stupidity and foolishness in not listening to you and to Ron Weinland!

But the “global moral breakdown of every facet of society” has been decried since the time of Socrates! This means that the good old days when every facet of society had not been broken down and was morally correct occurred roughly at the bronze age, or that every generation is uncomfortable with some of the changes that the flow of history brings us. I think that we are now in fact much more moral than we were even a century ago: we have begun to see women as full members of society and have stopped denying them the vote, for starters, and that it kind of a big deal. We have stopped sending children to work down mineshafts from 9 onwards. Sure, there is a lot of work to do still and there are places where this continues. But overall, I think the world is a better place than it was even a measly century ago.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

The world is a better place?

Tell that to the huge number of SLAVES in Mauritania RIGHT NOW, the people of Syria, the Palestinians, the Sudanese, Afghani women, gays in Iran, Trayvon Martin’s parents, the families of 9/11, the residents of Sendai Japan, Ugandan children, the survivors of the East Timor massacre, the homeless, AIDS patients, the residents of Chernobyl, the residents of Sarajevo, Chechneyans, the Occupied Tibetan people, the citizens of Sri lanka, the citizens of Somalia, your average Iraqi, the students present at Tiannanmen Square, the population of Libya, Nigerian Christians, the survivors of the 2004 Asian Tsunami, the victims of islamic clitoridectomies, your average Rwandan, the people of Oslo and Utoeya, the citizens of north Korea, the developing famine victims in West Africa, child laborers in India, as well as the rise of Scientology, extensive pollution and global warming, over population of the planet, resistance to African contraceptive education by the Catholic church, MASSIVE inequities in money and social power, the completely UNNECESSARY rise of adult onset diabetes (Type II) in inactive CHILDREN, the complete financial and political hegemony of the military-industrial complex…………………………………………………………

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    “We are much more moral…”

    “We” = who exactly?

  • Matt says:

…and the point is that this used to be the case in much larger areas of the globe. Sure, there is loads left to cover. But the pessimistic analysis that things are getting worse and worse is, I think, not warranted. I am not saying we are anywhere near where we want to be. I am merely saying that the bar has been raised for huge portions of humanity, and that while there are awful things happening in many places, it is no longer everywhere and all the time. Mass starvation used to be everywhere on a regular basis. Slavery was commonplace all over the world in stead of in certain places. Oppression was not just universal, but was considered the natural state of affairs, with local lords being able to condemn peasantry to death on a whim – and this is now accepted in far fewer places than it once was.

We behave in quite beastly ways towards each other, this is true. But we always have, we used to be worse on average, and while we are still far below our potential, we are certainly improving. By “We” I mean humanity, on average.

Weather we can ever have a situation of universal fairness and justice remains debatable. I myself do not believe in Utopias. But when you look back at the centuries of filth, degradation, slavery and brutality that we come from, you see that there are more people who are NOT in such a state than there ever where before, and that a larger percentage of the worlds population has reasonable human dignity.

You can say what you want about the student riots in China: at least they were not massacred, as would have happened to them a few centuries ago, and I believe mass starvation has not occurred there in over 50 years, which is unprecedented in all of Chinese history. India may have a long way to go, but their standard of living has increased as well, and for the first time in centuries, there is some social mobility there. The population of Lybia has a rough road ahead and a difficult task, shaping a country out of the confederacy of tribal loyalties that Ghadaffi was able to manipulate for so long, but they do have a shot, even if I personally am pessimistic about their chances, and they may have to go through some considerable struggles before they can create a better nation for themselves. Pockets of Nigerian Christians can be pretty shit, but really they are just a continuation of centuries of animistic superstitions – and hey! At least not ALL nigerians burn witches anymore, which they did do a few centuries ago, as well as mutilate children that were considered Ogbanje, or that were simply twins. The population of Oslo? One of the wealthiest, safest nations in the world? Come now Avalo you are getting as bad as the religious nuts who see the apocalypse in every hurrican and earthquake. North Korea – yeah they must be one of the people who have it the roughest. They still live the way we ALL used to live a few centuries ago. And that was pretty shit alright. Catholic resistance to contraceptives? Again – that used to be global. Type 2 diabetes? A side-effect of us being so well fed! People get that because they have it so good they can afford to eat too much – something only the aristrocracy has ever been able to afford! And “the industrial-militairy complex” seems to me more of a conspiracy theory. We used to think the Jews and the Masons guided world affairs through their machinations, you know, much in the same way as people now invoke the “Industrial-militairy complex”… it is always something they have heard about, but there is never any proof.

There are awful, awful troubles and problems in all the areas you mentioned. But there is also progress.

  • What most people don’t seem to realize is that Ronald Weinland represents all of Armstrongism: He is the extreme example that proves what Armstrongism is all about.

Jesus didn’t return by the end of 1975 as promised. Herbert Armstrong did not lead us into the Kingdom as he promised.

When Christ doesn’t return May 27th, it becomes yet another proof that Armstrongism is a cult of Kooks worshiping a false god.

Not only is there no excuse for the PKG, there’s no excuse for any of the Acogs (Alphabet churches of gods).

Rotten Ronnie will help drag all of them down.

    Total fail.

    For this, we thank you.

Matt said: “We used to think the Jews and the Masons guided world affairs through their machinations, you know, much in the same way as people now invoke the “Industrial-militairy complex”… it is always something they have heard about, but there is never any proof”.

    1. The Iraq War made Haliburton BILLIONS, and it was based on a known lie.
    2. Zionist media conspiracies are still rampant.
    3. Post-Osama Bin Laden, the Afghan war continues.
    4. the Bay of Tonkin Incident is now KNOWN to have been a False Flag Operation to start the Vietnam War.
    5. The US government is now KNOWN to have planned terrorist attacks against its own citizens to blame on the Cubans (Operation Northwoods).

“Never any proof”…Look them all up and tell me how “little” proof there is…

Back on topic…Rinald Weinland is a bastard and May 27th is NOT the Return of Jesus Christ…

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

“What most people don’t seem to realize is that Ronald Weinland represents all of Armstrongism: He is the extreme example that proves what Armstrongism is all about.”

But I realize that, and in fact that is a motivator for me to write this blog. The only good thing about the situation is that Weinland hasn’t attracted as large a following as did Herbie.

  • Matt says:

None of that constitutes any proof for what you are claiming, but that may be a discussion best done offline Avalo.

  • Whisper01 says:

I viewed this blog as a anti-Wienland history in the making for most of its run, for there was no obvious point of that mans church failing all the sudden like and its member possibly falling out like salt and pepper. But that is possibly what could happen very soon. While Ron will go on robbing the poor to pay for hiimself there is an epic opportunity approaching for many a stray person who fell into Ron’s grasp to now fall out of it in droves. If this where to only partially occur many a former PKG’r might turn to the internet to seek. One of the most promenent sights is this one.
This site has a un-paralleled opportunity to help people, those few or many who fall out of PKG. Cursing, ranting, raving, hating, frothing, etc… will only drive those poor souls into seclusion or into the waiting grasp of splinter groups. Wienland himself is an ass, no doubt, but those people who find the strength to look beyond and not despair of some mad hatter false witness’s fall may need such sites as this to help them out of the hole that they dug at Ron’s command.

I rathing think helping text and mercy of those people would help them. Anger and cursing rants will turn them away. Do you want them to come here for help or repulse them away?
Even if the chance of such exists what sounds like to right thing to do for PEOPLE, human beings, brothers and sisters in humanity?
Think about it. Calling PKG’rs dirty names may seem like fun, but it does not produce anything in the end and possibly a great opportunity is finally at hand, the fall of a false witness.

    Go figure?

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

RW isn’t falling anytime soon. His record is lie, change, lie, change, lie. If he can claim TWICE that he will give up if he is wrong, and NOT do it, then why should he do so this time?
The WorldWide Church of God got even bigger after 1972, and in the early 80s was making ZILLIONS of dollars. Ron must be shooting for that same wicked star…

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Whisper, while this blog can get a bit rough and tumble at time, I believe it has also helped as a resource to those who are questioning Weinland. And my blog has hosted civil discussions with PKG followers who are cordial. OTOH, when comes on regurgitating Ron’s lame explanations or even worse with an arrogant attitude or as in one case making physical threats, then the discussion gets a bit harsher.

For those who decide to quit following Ron after his prophecies fail, I hope this blog can help in some small way. For those who approach us differently, don’t expect anyone here to turn the other cheek.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

I agree. And believe me, I am NOT going to turn the other cheek on a false prophet whose teachings put Chacha’s husband in the hospital with emotional damage. The PKG are complicit in Ron’s crimes against humanity. NO TITHES, NO CHURCH. For Chacha’s husband, for my lost childhood, for Kirrily;s son Corey, I fight on.

The PKG are past the point of being innocent victims in all this. They are as guilty as Ron, and I hope they all end up miserable and alone…

  • Matt says:

I agree that it is unlikely that Ron will in any way admit fault, and that he will spin everything in such a way that the tithes will keep rolling in despite this major failure on top of a long list of failures. What has me boggled, though, is how close he is letting this date come. I have not seen him do that before. What is making him take this high-risk strategy in stead of the tried and tested timeline-adjustments? Are the followers getting fed up with them? But they always seemed pretty well controlled by the authoritarian atmosphere inside the group, which equates criticism of the leadership with lack of faith and spiritual fortitude.

So what is making him let this date get so incredibly close?

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

While you are correct that the rank-and-file PKG member is a participant and therefore responsible to some degree for Ron’s actions since they support them, I myself don’t hope for anything bad. I hope that they will wake up and have eyes to see reality as have Kirrily and ChaCha.

  • Whisper01 says:

I would “assume” that Ron took the high-road in his preaching and its a gamble. The returns are higher at the begining but in the end you paint yourself into a corner. If he had taken a lesser stance from the begining the returns would have been less at the start but the ability to create “escape hatches” along the way would have been easier. When you pump up a “sheeple” with the high and mighty “God WILLL return on X date” it gives more power to the statement and the speaker, but the people you stir up to follow you so blindly NEED that date then – they stake their pension on it and thier faith. So the returns are high early on. If you give a “well, sometimes in 7 or more years…” then the impact is not as great but is much safer as the con can easily turn slowly to even more time. Ron took the high road, he made his glorious statement, the sheeples followed with glee and now he has a problem. Ron tried to turn back not so long ago with “Satan has been whispering in my ear at night” but the Sheeples are seemingly locked on to May 27, they did not like the words, they grumbled and Ron is such a coward (fled from a comedian in Canada…) he stopped the constrcution onf the “escape hatch” and took the stance of a “good shepard” standing tall and proud proclaiming J-Man’s return.

    Go figure?

  • Jocko says:

I wasn’t planning on listening to the split sermon but I changed my mind after reading Mike’s review.

At 40:13 Wayne said “Brethren take courage, everything is going exactly to plan! Isn’t that wonderful? Then why do we worry about things, cause it’s the human right-It’s exactly to plan. Well people can say well you know this hasn’t happened, that happened-It’s going to plan! It’s plan A, there hasn’t been a plan B, it’s exact!”

With less than six weeks left and zero prophecy fulfillment Ron’s two henchmen are set loose to reassure their PKG brethren everything is going according to plan.
