Faith in Man

I’ve been getting some search engine referrals recently for some looking for information on False Prophet Ronald Weinland’s criminal trial.  Which at one time was scheduled to begin two days ago (on Tuesday the 20th) but has now been delayed until June 4.   I wonder if Ron has cut off funding for his legal defense team since he thinks he will be a member of the Elohim God-family on that date.  Ron has changed his travel itinerary for May 12 and May 19.  He was scheduled to be in London on the 12th and the Netherlands on the 19th, but he has swapped those dates.  Perhaps he doesn’t want to make it too easy for the Beast Power to snatch him up from nearby Netherlands on the 19th, so as to be at the pre-trial conference on May 21.

A new commenter on this blog left the following yesterday:

My wife and I know a couple who have been following Ronnie since 2008 and are now in the process of “selling all of [their] belongings”. They haven’t explicitly stated that it’s due to 5/27, but we have our obvious suspicions. It’s painful to watch.

So they are doing this based on the word of a man with a dismal track record and a history of lies and broken promises.  A man who:

  • In 2006, offered the early-on deaths of 5 specific elderly men as proof of his validity as a prophet of God, none of whom have died
  • In March of 2008, promised to stop preaching by Pentecost if evidence of the First Trumpet were not readily apparent by then, and to admit being a false prophet if the Second Trumpet had not blown by then.
  • But instead switched to a new timeline in June of 2008, despite having ridiculed someone who would do that during a sermon the prior December and in an interview the prior November.
  • Who called a 2-day fast in January, asking members to pray for the deaths of others to bring them to repentance.  Then later credited their prayers for delaying the Great Tribulation.
  • Who during the 2009 Feast of Tabernacles said that the European Beast Power would arise by August of 2011.
  • Who in March of last year said that he would be a false prophet if China did not begin destroying the earth last year.
  • Who in April of last year stated a 40 week period of judgment and destruction on the United States and other Israelite was beginning
  • Who says that the 5 months of torment began on January 7.
  • And who now says this could happen after his death on May 23, in the 3 1/2 days before Christ’s supposed return

Let’s look at the claims of this man that he and his wife are the Two Witnesses.  Have they:

  • turned any water into blood?
  • stopped up any heavens to keep it from raining?
  • had any attempt to harm them “boomerang” on the offender?  As in the IRS Special Agent, the Prosecutor, and Grand Jury Members being indicted for tax fraud?
  • had any pronouncement of deaths come true?  (Specifically yours truly?) (Ron’s equivalent to “breathing fire”)

And let’s look at what else has to happen in the nine weeks remaining before Pentecost:

  • All the thunders that haven’t pealed, including the deaths of numerous CoG ministers, celebrities, and common people from epidemics
  • TV interviews of Ron, when the only interview he got even after advertizing his availability was on a second-rate radio station.
  • The 2700 or so ex-WCG members who are to join PKG
  • The millions of other people who are to be baptized into PKG
  • The blowing of the First Trumpet and all the rest

And you believe this man ……. because??????  You’re going to make irrevocable decisions because of what he says????  A promise breaker who has defined himself as insane liar???? Consider your personal apocalypse on Memorial Day (May 28) when the seven vials were not poured out on the rest of the world on May 27.

Ronald Weinland says that whether you believe him and act on what he says is between you and God.  A God who says “Deut 18:22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.”

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Nice summary. People can get the overall flow of his false prophecies in one nice timeline. If RW is going to put up a false timeline, you have nicely countered withe the actual truth!

    Nice! 🙂

  • J says:

All of this makes perfect sense. If you don’t “think differently”, that is. When you’re bequeathed with “special knowledge”, corporeal facts become irrelevant. How do you convince someone of a lie when they don’t want to believe it’s a lie? You can’t, unfortunately, and that’s really sad.

To them, Ron, PKG, and their faith are like those big banks you hear about on the news. “Too big to fail.”

  • JB says:

Very nice job Mike of stating the facts in a great timeline. PKG members should run not walk to the closest exit. Cleaning the mind of all the mind control is not easy but can be done as proven by some of the wonderful people on this blog. Ron has worked his self into a little square and stepping off of it will be very difficult. Anyway he turns he has to face more of his lies. Members that feel selling all their belongings and throwing the money at him will only enable him to step off that square and disappear forever and I don’t mean joining the Kingdom of God. I use to say that Ron sent up red flags, that isn’t the case anymore, now there are huge red banners that say FALSE FALSE FALSE!

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Wait! The Beast Power has arisen! I just saw the family cat get up from her little pillow and start walking around! Conclusive proof that the ‘beast’ has “arisen”! Oh, man! I just can’t wait to send all my money to Ronald Weinland!

  • Helen says:

OH NO Avalo. The time is nearing. Send me your money and I will make sure Ron gets it for ya!! Yes everyone send it to me and I can send Ron one big fat check.
What is the cat doing now. Did she say anything? Is her purrring getting stronger?

Good Job Mike putting that together.. If that doesn’t get to people try a sledge hammer..

  • Matt says:

Poor people. They will have sold off all their stuff… and for what? To stuff the pockets of a man who won’t even pay taxes when he helps himself to his church’s funds! Who has been consistently wrong about every last damn prophesy he ever made!

You can laugh at Ron’s antics right up until the moment you realize the emotional and financial damage he causes. The families that are divided because of this foolishness. The fear and guilt it inspires. The money thrown away so he can feather his own nest and go on cushy little trips around the world. How many children are RIGHT NOW being told they have no future? That the world is an evil place soon to be destroyed by some dysfunctional parent of a god? How many people have been driven to the brink when they realized they followed a self-serving liar?

How many college funds are not being set up, how many career opportunities are not being pursued, how much education is being ignored, how much life is just not being lived?

All that so a sad little man can live out his power-fantasies. Disgusting.

  • J says:

Same s#&t, different year. No different than the Family Radio debacle of 2011. People sold off everything to fund the billboards and advertising campaign. A year later, I wonder how those people have adjusted. Sadly, the media lost interest after May 22 last year, so I never found out.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Helen: The cat is currently laying in her little cat bed right beside my computer, purring up a storm. She doesn’t like it when I work on my computer without her, so she will jump up on my desk and look me in the eye with a kind of accusatory look, saying,” Hey! What are you doing here without me?” then flop down onto the keyboard so I have to pick her up and put her in the cat bed, where she purrs and naps. I might have to be careful though.

She was just nibbling on her cat grass, which means she will be coughing up a hair ball pretty soon!

  • YYZ says:

Freedom of religion, absolutely! Freedom to defraud and con families without accountability because of that right?!!

  • Kirrily XPKG says:

J said: “How do you convince someone of a lie when they don’t want to believe it’s a lie? You can’t, unfortunately, and that’s really sad.”

That’s it in a nutshell really.

    I PURPOSELY ignored Rons failings:-

    1. Because that would mean that God wasn’t leading me after all.
    2. Because I had told soooooo many people about ‘the end’ (as at one time instructed by Ron to do so), and I didn’t want to be wrong in believing it.

Ah yes, the individual needs to take responsibility for believing the Ron Weinlands of the world. It’s the innocent children and family members who deserve the sympathy (ie. people like my husband!).

  • Helen says:

Matt I don’t think people are laughing at the people in PKG, I think it is more scratching our heads wondering why they can still believe this Man after all the lies he had told and all the proofs he is wrong and cheat people in the PKG. I call it stupidity myself. And if that doesn’t sound like I am compassionate, well then I guess I don’t have very much compassion to blind people who put all their faith in one human (I think the con is human, I could be wrong) Give their money to Ron and not think about what it causes their families. Yes GRIEF. Mike has shown over and over and over proof of his lies, and I know the PKG get on this blog to read about it.
And still they ignore the truth. Yes this man has caused alot of trouble with families, but shame on those who let just a plain, not of God man lead them astray. As I said before, once he tried to cause things between me and my husband, that was the end of the road for me. That put the frosting on the cake. I knew he was false before that time but to try and take over families lives. Not in my time honey.. Not while I am still breathing. I can’t see anybody, or maybe I just don’t understand it, but to let anyone try and come between a family is not of God for sure… Just a short humpty dumpty with a big ego problem. And shame on those in PKG for letting Ron control their lives. NOPE, no compassion for stuff like that. That is only my feeling and my fact.

Avalo, I have a Beagle that when I get on the computer for so long, he has to jump up on my lap too and lays himself on the keys, just like a kid trying to get your attention. lol But he doesn’t cough up hair balls. 🙂

  • Helen says:

Just saw your blog Kirrily. True… they are hurting their families becuase of some idiot God man.

  • Helen says:

Mike, correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t Ron say something about if family members mock Ron or don’t believe in him, something like that. Turn on them…in so many words..

  • Is cat purring counted as one of the 7 thunders?

Or is it counted as all 7?

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Douglas, it will have to do. It will just have to do (for all 7 thunders).

Helen, the death curse applies to _anyone_ who mocks Ron, not just website owners. Have any kind of funny feeling inside? 😀

  • Helen says:

lol Mike. Not yet Mike, but when I think of Ron I do feel like I have the stomach flu and go to the bathroom alot. Does that mean anything? 🙂
I can’t wait until his arse is in jail.. what goes around comes around, you screw people and you will get screwed back twice fold eventually.

  • Jangster says:

Before we were married, my wife shared a house with a couple that has now been following Ronnie for 4 years. I remember one night she and I sat down to eat and I started to pray for the meal. The husband of this couple was in the kitchen making coffee and heard me starting to pray. He immediately dashed out of the room and didn’t return until I was finished. It left my wife and I confused, concerned and (to be honest) a little offended.

  • Helen says:

I suggest they read” Faith in Man” over and over again. At least until it may sink in. I don’t know how it can be put any clearer than that!!

  • Helen says:

jangster, he left the room because you were praying over your food? I know why he was offended. You didn’t say “Ron, thank you for the meal that is put before us”.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Wow! That was rude! I am an atheist and even I would have bowed my head and ‘participated’ in the prayer. Asking God for a nice supper? Doesn’t seem like a crime to me…

Interesting. One of Ron’s followers RUNS AWAY from a prayer to GOD….sounds a little like Matthew 8:28-34…

  • Rambo says:

I’d like to add another perspective, if I may.
I think the remaining members in PKG have a lot of faith to still stay in after all this time, when all the odds are now overwhelmingly against Ron. I mean, I stopped having faith a couple of years ago and stoppped attending. But now, after all that has, and has not, happened, wow, they still remain convinced that Ron is a prophet because they believe what he teaches so strongly. You gotta have a lot of faith for that. I think of it as strong faith, not stupidity.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Strong faith in Ronald Weinland is NOT stupidity, after all he has said and done?!!!Looks like the FlavorAid is not all the way out of your system yet there, Rambo. Hang in there…

  • Helen says:

Strong faith in what? In Ron you mean? Have to disagree on that one. But it is ok, we all have our own opinions. And you know the saying about opinions!!! We all have one. I am sticking with mine.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

The first time Charlie Brown attempted to kick the football Lucy was holding for him, that was faith that Lucy would hold it in place. What was it that he had after a few dozen times of trying to kick the football?

  • Helen says:

Just saw your Post Avalo.. EXACTLY my point. Sorry Ronbo, but what other than stupidity lets a man curse their families with death for disagreeing. I have a family member in there and one time we had a great relationship, but because I disagree with Ron we don’t EVER talk.. and not because I chose that. ahhhh no. I would have been STUPID if I let Ron come between hubby and me. Come on people think!! Let a con man destroy you and your family and take your money, and pretend he is God almighty.. What in the heck kind of faith is that. It would be easier for me to have faith in the boogy man. WAIT!!! Is there a boogy man Avalo? 🙂
Excuse me while I go get my blood pressure medicine..

  • Helen says:

Yes Mike good example.. OH I think it was beer,,

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Helen: I can prove that there is a Boogey Man using Ronald Weinland’s own special brand of logic. Here’s how it works:

    1. God told me there is a Boogey Man.

    2.Now give me some money.

  • Helen says:

OH YES!! That is Ron’s logic…lol

  • Helen says:

I guess I better go get groceries.. check in later. Have a GREAT day my friends…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

It is actually pretty easy, since Ron’s logic is so brilliant and sophisticatedly put together.

    1. “I am God’s End Time Witness…now give me some money.”

    2. “Next week I will be speaking in Hampsburg, East Virginia…now give me some money.”

    3. “Let’s all fast next week…now give me some money.”

    4. “God may or may not help you…now give me some money.”

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

“A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side…” – Aristotle

  • Mikey has agreed to do his part for the 7 thunders and is purring up a storm… in a manner of speaking.

  • Jangster says:

    Not stupidity, only insanity…

  • any says:

Google search.. ronald An AUTHOR whosebooks have been read by over 160 people, c___ ronald weinland is first and foremost the pastor of Gods church. He is a has been … Sorry I have sexdaily ,I mean dyslexia ….

  • Helen says:

any did you say a whopping “one-hundred-sixty” people? Wow! Even that surprises me. Then actually all the PKG followers haven’t read his book.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

It’s “read by people in over 160 countries”, which is kind of dumb when you think about it, because as ‘any’ has suggested, it only takes one person in each of those countries to have read his book to make the statistic count. It is also a dubious number since the book would have to be translated into MANY languages to have reached 160 countries. I Ron suggesting there is a Mandarin version of his book for China? Who could have translated his book into Finnish? Or how about one of the HUNDREDS of languages in India or Africa? And, as ‘any’ also pointed out, he is an “author”. Talk about a euphemism!!!

If Ronald Weinland is an “author”, then I am Wayne Gretzky…

  • Jocko says:

As each week goes by I’m becoming more convinced that Ron plans to stay on course and milk this sham to the very end. Unless his attorneys are working on some type of plea bargain with no prison time I don’t foresee him sticking around for his trial.

  • jack635 says:

    “One hundred and sixty countries”

Ya know, I didn’t even notice that one. So there we have another lie from Ronald Weinland. Do his followers even think of how impossible that is, or even sounds? As far as I know there are 192 member nations of the UN. So if Ron’s book has been read in 160 countries, he is very famous indeed and has reached almost every country in the world. That sounds about as reasonable as the world coming to an end exactly as written in his book.

Someone once said if you tell a big enough lie, everyone will believe it. I think that was Hitler.

  • jack635 says:

Maybe Ron meant 160 “counties”. Must be a typo.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    More like 160 c**ts!

  • Helen says:

So that is what the C meant!! For some reason I thought the C word was what “any” was calling Ron. Ends with a K.
I don’t believe it. Ron just told them that number to make himself seem poplular. I thought the book was only written in 2 languages.
I agree Ron is NO author.
I’m with Avalo and Jack. NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!! What a big CROCK..

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Another little deception by Ron is…there is no proof anyone bought it, OR sought it, or even actually read more than a couple pages before throwing it out! And if so many copies were sent out, there is ample evidence that FEW believe it…where are the MILLIONS of people flocking to be baptized?! He has sent out so many copies and PDFs that it looks like people are interested in it. But he could just be mass distributing it like the WWCG did with The Plain Truth, then claiming that millions READ it because millions were sent out!

    So we have:

    1. A dubious claim about its readership.
    2. A dubious claim about its distribution
    3. A dubious claim about its popularity.
    4. Evidence of an almost complete lack of efficacy!

What else would we expect from a man who claims God talks to him, and gives him special messages?

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Think about it: There are more than 190 countries/sovereign states in the world. There are at least 50 major countries we would all know from Asia, Europe, South America, North America, and the Middle East. So Ron is getting to 160?!! Bhutan and Rwanda? How about New Caldonia and Palau?

It must be so comforting to the people in Syria to know that their suffering will be over on May 27th, thanks to all the copies of Ron’s book they have been reading! And just think…the former residents of Sendai, japan living in shelters after the tsunami must be overjoyed with Ron’s book, knowing that their dead wives, husbands, and children will be popping up out of the ocean to greet them one day!

MESSAGE TO RONALD WEINLAND: You are a liar, and a fraud.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Let’s see…what other little gems can we find on RON;S WEBSITE:

“Although the Church of God has not been accustomed to having a prophet for nearly 1900 years, God made him a prophet in 1997. His first book, The Prophesied End-Time (published in mid-2004), is the product of what God has given him concerning prophetic end-time events that have already begun to be fulfilled, events that are occurring exactly as he has written in the book. His latest book, 2008—God’s Final Witness, pinpoints the timing of these end-time events and adds additional information beyond what the first book covered.”

    1. “GOD made him a PROPHET in 1997.” Then he is false because he has lied.

    2. “Events are occurring EXACTLY as he has written in his book.” No, they are not.

    3. “His latest book PINPOINTS the timing of these end time events.” Nope…

  • If I am not mistaken, RW actually got his “authority” by being associated with Herbert Armstrong. I believe that because people believed the scrap Herbert Armstrong was teaching and RW claims association with him, that the people just went right along, making the assumption that RW was Herbert Armstrong’s replacement.

Which, from a very unflattering view point, he probably is.

  • Jocko says:

How about these three gems from Ron’s latest sermon.

23:00 I mentioned last night, to everyone gathered together, the elders, that the closer we get, depending on what God does, at one point it begins, because of the trumpets, that God has not revealed to us when they’re going to begin, and depending on when that is, the longer it goes the more you are going to be tried, and not everyone’s going to make it, okay, it should be a very sobering thing as we go through this sermon today.

30:00. No matter what you believe, it’s coming, No matter if you were 100% wrong about this, it’s coming, it’s at the doorstep.

103:38. Because this is from God, this is from Jesus Christ to you because of his excitement for where we are, and because of the meaning of this Passover more than any other Passover.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

“God hasn’t revealed when they are going to begin”…YET Ron siad that if the Asian Hordes hadn’t started their rampaging before 2012 then he would admit he is a FALSE PROPHET!!

    Jocko = WIN

    Weinland = FAIL

  • Matt says:

    Heya Helen

I never meant to imply you were laughing at them or where not compassionate – I was just having a soapbox moment 🙂 Apologies if it came out wrong.

  • Chacha says:

Mike (DDTFA) said: “The first time Charlie Brown attempted to kick the football Lucy was holding for him, that was faith that Lucy would hold it in place. What was it that he had after a few dozen times of trying to kick the football?”

My answer: a sore back AND a severe concusion. We all know that there is increasing evidence that repeated concusions cause brain damage. Therefore, it is “a type” of brain damage to listen to Ron and believe his blather and have the spiritual football yanked away, just as you are about to kick it out of the park!

That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Let me demonstrate how Ron would argue against that, Chacha:

    1. God told me you are wrong.

    2. Now give me some money.

  • Whisper01 says:

“I think the remaining members in PKG have a lot of faith to still stay in after all this time, when all the odds are now overwhelmingly against Ron. –Prophet Warren Jeffs, of a breakaway Mormon cult, is serving life (plus 20 years) in a Texas prison for raping two underage parishioners, but insists that his power has not been diminished. He was disciplined in December for making a phone call to his congregation announcing several decrees, including barring marriages from taking place until he can return to “seal” them and prohibiting everyone from having sex. (Since Jeffs retains his “messiah” status among many church members, and since life-plus-20 is a long time to wait, and since the cult is reclusive, it is difficult for outsiders to assess the level of sexual frustration in the compound.) [Daily Mail (London), 12-31-2011; Deseret News (Salt Lake City), 12-30-2011]

How strong is Jeff’s followers faith? How does this relate to Weinlands sheeples? Is faith really a good thing in this case? How does intelligence play its part in these 2 examples?

  • You have to hand it to these guys: They really know how to make people into livestock.

  • Off Topic:

I hope no one will take offense, but some of you might be interested in the latest of Mikey’s Mini Adventures while he is running for President:

Click on the picture for a better view of him in the 787 cockpit.

  • Helen says:

Matt: No apologizes needed. You had a soapbox moment you said, I had a big PMS moment:) I have strong opinions on certain things and usually don’t hold back and I let it rip out, should I hold back.? Well I don’t know. It is not in me to do so. This is Mike’s blog and if he tells me to cool my jets I will.
If anyone else has family in the PKG I am not out to offend the blogger or cause harm to their loved ones. Ron is doing that, not me. I just suggest when this doen’t come to pass they better be there to pick up the pieces of their loved ones. It is going to be a bumpier ride than they can imagine.
So for the ones who have family in the false church and I said stupidity, it is “lacking in understanding” foolishness” blind sided” dazed (in awe of the almighty ron).
You know what I mean like what Ron and the followers call us, well people “back at ya”.
But you are right though Matt I did say, I know Ron is a joke, and if I may be honest, I don’t have compassion for him or his wife, or for stupidity of others who listen to him and curse their families who don’t believe in him. So see. It is all good. I did say those things so you have nothing to apologize for. But thank you for doing so. I appreciate that. In so many words I think God said not to have compassion or be around those who mock the Lord..
Isn’t it hard when one is just writing on the blog we don’t really know their tone. So we can take it a few different ways or misunderstand their intentions.
    But hey, all is great!!!
That is just part of being a blogger.

  • Helen says:

I played the video doug but not sure I get it. Who is Mikey suppose to be? Our Mike? I will have another cup of coffee and maybe it will come to me.

  • Mikey is my cat. He is running for President of the United States under the Domestic Companion Party. His vice presidential candidate is Bo, a very nice canine.

    It is satire.

  • Helen says:

OH. OK. Gotcha. Well Doug Mikey might save the world. Who knows.. 🙂 Ithink my Beagle Bennie would make a good Secretary of State!!

  • Helen, Mikey will keep Bennie in mind… for 10 minutes, since that is the limit of a feline’s short term memory.

Actually, the limit of a CEO’s short term memory is 30 seconds, so Mikey is smarter.

You have to admit, there’s a lot of appeal for a President who “can’t remember”.

And this case, Mikey could not only fall asleep in a private audience of the Pope, he could sit on the Pope’s lap doing it. It’s purrrfect!

Sorry: This isn’t very helpful to PKGers, is it?

    No wait.

How long is RW’s short term memory? Is he Presidential material or only CEO material (noting that the shorter the attention span, the higher the earnings!).

  • You know, after thinking about it, this is probably going to be a Win-Win for RW!

After he gets out of prison, he can go to work for a major corporation for the big bucks as a CEO, just like other CEOs have. He will have impressive experience to put on his resume. He would probably have high demand from Banks and Investment institutions.

In fact, he could run for public office and win, just like the Mayor of Washington D.C. after he was convicted.

The world may get the mistaken impression that Americans just love felons. We don’t: We just like winners….

    Um… Er… scratch that!

  • Atrocious says:

Well, today is March 23rd and summer has started early. The grass is green, the trees are green, the flowers are blooming and the flowering trees are in bloom. There is no freeze warning for the foreseeable future, and if this continues, it looks like the farmers might have a bumper crop this year. I love listening to the birds singing all day long in this beautiful weather. I don’t see any sign of the great tribulation at this time, although the “negativity” certainly overpowers the “positivity” in general. I’m talking about the media in general.

RW knows he lost. He knows he wrong. He knows he is backed into a corner and there is no way out. I wish he would take responsibility for what he has done instead of “leaving it between them and God” when he has been “playing God” all these years to these people. To do what he is doing is the mark of an extreme coward.

PKG members, please don’t give ron any more of your money. Use it to get out of his clutches and live your life as YOU see fit, not as Ron sees fit. It’s YOUR life. It’s YOUR choice. Don’t choose Ron…choose life.

  • jack635 says:

Mike, all those things you listed, from the deaths of 5 specific ministers right down the list to the First Trumpet, these are not presumptuousness. Mighty Ron will give it in his own time. Who are we to question him?

Aren’t you afraid Ron will unleash his saved up powers directly on you?

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Actually, I would like to see Ron unleash something or other, as it would prove that metaphysics is a valid modern inquiry. As the Japanese might say: 私は人間の知識を超えているかを知りたい.
“I want to know what is beyond human knowledge…”

  • martin says:

Ronald Weinland said these ministers would die early on…….in the Great Invisible Tribulation.

As far as I know they are all still alive. Once you pass, let’s say, the half way mark, you’ve pretty much missed the “early” time frame Ronald Weinland specified.

  • martin says:

Has Ronald Weinland sold his house yet? Surely a man who’s going to die soon, would let go of all of his material possessions….empty out his bank accounts….

He lives in a 4 star hotel most of the time anyway….

His members are showing more faith than he is, by selling all their belongings. (which they’ll regret the day after, unfortunately)

  • Atrocious says:

The main thing that was drummed into my head while I was my father’s daughter, in the church (WCG), and from the ministry was OBEY, OBEY, OBEY! Obedience was paramount to being one of the called…obedience to keep the Sabbath and Holy Days, tithing, and adhering to anything the “head” of the church commanded. Ronald Weinland was that and then some. Always about obedience. “Send in your money”, “Give till it hurts”, “Stay with it till the end”. And the consequence for disobedience was the Lake of Fire!

So, now you have a man (RW) who preached OBEDIENCE till the end. And then “whatever happens is between you and God”. It’s like he’s saying, “It isn’t MY fault you decided to follow a false prophet. You should have known better than to listen to me! Nothing happened, so because you were stupid enough to follow me, I don’t take any responsibilities in your decisions.”

That, my friends, is the mind of a criminal. A coward. And a man with absolutely no conscience.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    May I also add…asshat?

  • Atrocious says:

Yes! You may also add asshat.

  • Helen says:

MATT MATT MATT!!!!! My apologies.. It wasn’t you who wrote what I was responding to. It was RAMBO!!!! I told ya I was having one of those days.
It is me who should apologize not YOU!! DANG I hate when I do that.
I am sincerely sorry.. When I am wrong I will be the first to say it… I say that humbly my friend. You probably were thinking “what is this chick talkin about!!”

  • Helen says:

Mike, now do I have to do 20 hail mary’s??

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    20 Hail Marys
    10 Mea Culpas
    14 muy calientes
    25 Kocham cię-s
    16 Durchfalls

    and 25 LOLs!

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Not a Catholic-related blog, will have to think of another appropriate punishment. Whatever it is, it won’t be as severe as having to listen to one of Ron’s sermons.

  • You can’t outgive God. That’s what we were told.

Not that we ever got anything back, but to be fair, it’s doubtful that whatever we were giving, it wasn’t going to God.

If ministers are supposed to get double honor, are false prophets like RW supposed to get double dishonor?

  • jack635 says:

Has Ronald Weinland sold his house yet?

The False Prophet’s Handbook clearly states:

You shall not sell your house unless the jig is up. More than one house is a necessity just in case the jig is up Harold Camping also has a copy. As a matter of fact, most False Prophets have a copy of that book although it is sold under various titles.

  • jack635 says:

Here is where you can buy the False Prophet’s Handbook. Just in case any of you would like to make “lots of money”. Make sure you are infallible to the effects of human misery and have a black soul. Also you must hate children enough to ruin their future and all their little dreams. You must also like to kick small animals.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

I know this is off-topic, but I thought I would bring it up in the interest of fair-play. Tomorrow is a big rally called the Reason Rally, organized by David Silverman, for agnostics and atheists. It is kind of a call to action for non-believers to make their “voices heard”, as it were. Silverman says: “the goal is to advance the position of atheists in America.”

I, Avalokiteshvara, would just like to say, as an atheist, I think this rally is bull-poop. Atheism is merely not believing in the evidence for religion, and does not need “advancing”. It is like saying we need to have a rally for everyone that doesn’t believe in Jesus. What does that accomplish? Nothing. There are MILLIONS of Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, and others that don’t believe in jesus divinity in terms of being the Son of God. Do we have parties for everyone BUT the Green Bay Packers fans? Do we have a “Celebrate Africa (Except for Benin) Day”? The New Atheism is NOT real atheism!! It is just a new kind of Church that has Richard Dawkins as its God, rather than Yahweh. If you are a Christian, don’t believe it when someone says that this New Atheism represents the views of atheists everywhere. It doesn’t and you should rightfully view it with suspicion and skepticism.

This ‘New Atheism’ is as atheist as the Pope is a ballerina!!

    That is all…

  • Helen says:

Wow Avalo. You are a hard one for punishment…haha Can you give me some slack and let me just do the 25 lols? After all it is only my 3rd time I made that mistake.
You guys know when I get my high blood pressure I can’t see straight. lol Well Avalo and Mike should know that!!!
Thanks Mike for not having me listen to Ron’s sermon’s, that would be punishment by death. I couldn’t imagine anything worse.

I am guilty as charged.. Glad I caught that, Poor Matt took it as a man and he didn’t even know what the heck he did.. Ronbo, you should have stood up to the plate!!
    Just sayin..

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

You might want to add walnuts to your diet to lower blood pressure. They can help drop your numbers if you eat a couple of handfuls a day. Don’t overdo it though. Eat enough walnuts and you’ll get really smelly diarrhea!

  • Helen says:

Good info on the Walnuts Avalo.. But I will have to eat more just to make sure for myself it gives on smelly diarrhea. lol Or I can ask your wife if she has experienced that with you. 🙂
Thanks also for the info “New Atheism Rally” . I swear there is a rally for everything now!!
Honestly, I thought we only did those kind of things back when we burned our bra’s and hugged trees.
I liked those days. It saved me alot of money in the bra department. At least it served a purpose.
Either you know what you stand for or you don’t. If you don’t then go to the rally’s and find yourself or whatever.

  • Helen says:

Kidding aside Avalo I really will do the walnut thing. I like the natural remedies..

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

I actually know about the walnut/diarrhea thing from my wife. She heard that walnuts were healthy, and even though she has great blood pressure, thought it would be a good idea to have an entire large cup of them before bed! Now keep in mind that this was early on in our relationship and we had just moved in together, and she was still rather “shy”, etc, since she was raised in a traditional Viet family. We are sleeping that night, two young lovers wrapped around each other in sweet sleep…all of a sudden I hear her make a short whimper, and then “it” happened…

she was horrified…but I thought it was hilarious!

  • Helen says:

LMBO..That is hilarious! I like to hear love stories. lol

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Oh, I love my wife alright…we have been together for most of our lives and I am constantly amazed at how much more I keep on falling in love with her daily! It is like the universe said, “Hey! Sorry about the whole Herbert W. Armstrong thing, here…here is the perfect woman for you…go for it!”.

She is almost literally the other half of my heartbeat…

  • Helen says:

I understand completely. And your wife and kids are the blood that runs through your veins and keep you alive..and happy.

  • Family member of PKG member says:

I am the daughter of one of the “higher up” members of PKG. We do not discuss religion very much when we are together – although being together doesn’t happen as often as it used to. Anyway – this site and Ron’s site is where I learn most information about what is happening “in the church” now. I just wonder if anyone thinks that “the church” will just take on another form with the same beliefs? We (my sisters and I) were raised in “the church since I was about 5 years old. The beliefs of my parents never changed – just which branch they followed as “the church” changed. I find it hard to believe that they will just stop believing what they have believed for so many years. They truly follow what they believe to be the truth. I believe that after the date passes that they will continue to “keep the sabbath and Holy Days” just as always. I think it will be too hard for them go “mainstream” and find it harder to believe that they would just choose to do nothing at all. I do not believe as they do and I am fine with it, but I do worry in their older age how they will adjust after all of this comes to a peak.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

I think that after May 27, most of PKG with WCG backgrounds will stay with I’m-Not-a-Prophet-But-Still-Am-An-Apostle Ronald Weinland, maybe Johnny and Wayne can hold it together if Ron spends some time in prison. Some may find other false prophets such as Dave Pack to follow. Some may become “angry atheists” (not real atheists).

But will be difficult for all, especially for those who’ve gone all in. Hopefully your parents haven’t done that. But I also hope you and your family can get together again more often.

  • Richard says:

This announced travel schedule has me SOOO confused!

Netherlands May 12? London May 19?? “Pre-trial conference” (presumably in Ohio) May 21???

When is Mr. Weinland going to be in JERUSALEM – where the two witnesses are supposed be all along, according to Revelation 11?

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Family Member Of PKG Member: Having been in the WWCG, I can totally understand why your parents would keep on going. Hang in there…

Mike (DDTFA): LOL! I like how you distinguished between angry/real atheists. If something doesn’t exist, how can you be angry at it? Atheistic anger is rightfully pointed at the negative actions of the religious, or the contradictory notions of a deity (Yahweh loves mankind as he condones the selling of children in Ex. 21:7). If an atheist is angry at God then he/she has to be angry at Santa Claus and Darth Vader!

As for Ronald Weinland, I would agree with you both on the majority of the PKG staying with Ron. But I eagerly await the drama of May 27th to see just how Ron is going to change his con game and start anew with some new “truths” and “prophecies”.

My guess is that the Flavoraid is going to be “lemon lime” this time around…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Richard: Unfortunately, you suffer from common sense and intelligence. Everything that Ron says is true until he tells everyone that God is now revealing how its opposite is true on the day that thing is supposed to happen. Everything is true…at the right time. And the truth preceding it was just true for a certain time.

Amazing how neither God nor Ron can EVER tell a lie….Everything is true…just depends on the day, and how full Ron’s 24 BANK ACCOUNTS, 11 CREDIT CARDS, AND SWISS BANK ACCOUNT ARE…

  • I’ve been forced to live around mentally ill people all of my life.

It does appear to me that PKG is just another collection of them.

  • PKG is like visiting someone in the mental hospital and finding that the patients have taken over.

  • Helen says:

Douglas, I wouldn’ say they have mental illness in PKG. Maybe, some will have deep depression after May 27 and confusion. But Mental illness is a very serious disease and shouldn’t be taken lightly. I’ve known some one who has the chemical imbalance to its extreme at times, but still has the wits about her/him to not even believe in Ron. So I think this person is actually much smarter.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

My guess is that deep down inside, the PKG have various (normal) issues of low self-esteem and loneliness like the rest of us, but their solution to it is Ron’s theology and feeling like God likes them more than us. Having been in the WWCG, I can see how Ron provides a nice safety net for the ex-WWCGs. It is terrifying to leave a cult, and Ron provides an easy way back to “safety” and “comfort”. For just 10-20% of your income, you can buy God’s love and a guaranteed place in an imaginary afterlife.

What’s not to like? (if you are lonely and hate yourself…).

  • Helen says:

You hit the nail on the head Avalo. I am trying to add to it, but I can’t because it is so spot on!! How true!!!!!!!!

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

I find WWCG so weird. Atheism aside, it is almost dumbfounding that Christians almost never actually DO what Jesus did, or imitate the example. Jesus didn’t invent some large, complex theology. He actually decried Pharisitic law-making and sophistry. Where as the Jewish High Council (Sanhedrin) argued and theorized over symbols and meanings, Jesus had bread and fishes and talked and feasted all the while teaching through simple parables and exhortations to justice and peace.

Whether you believe in Jesus as Christ or not, even Jesus himself would not be allowed to join the CoG-PKG, as his message would contradict Ronald Weinland!!! Think about it:

    1. Jesus would offer his tithes to the poor, which Ron would see as not being faithful to Go by giving those tithes to the CoG-PKG (a.k.a. Ron).

    2. Jesus would have gone outside the meeting hall to heal people and Ron would chastise Jesus for not listening to ‘the Word of God’ that only Ron can reveal.

    3. Since Jesus’ miracles would be more astounding than Ron’s (complete lack of) powers, Ron would accuse Jesus of being possessed by a demon.

    4. If Jesus was taken off to be crucified, Ron would say that Jesus deserved it for not believing Ron, and tell the PKG NOT to pray for him.

You know you are a False Prophet when Jesus Christ’s example and message threatens your theology…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    Let’s see…

IF YOU BELIEVE THE BIBLE, and Ronald Weinland does…then Jesus Christ performed 37 miracles in the New Testament, and 13 miracles outside the New Testament in the books the Catholic Church removed from the Bible (the Gospel of Thomas and the Infancy Gospels specifically).

    1. Jesus performed 50 miracles.

    2. Moses performed miracles, Daniel was saved miraculously, Elijiah performed a miraculous demonstration of God’s power, Samson had miraculous strength, Noah survived a supernatural flood, Jonah survived miraculously in a whale, an old lady gave her last bit of oil and flour and subsequently miraculously never ran out of those items again.

    3. SATAN performed miraculous feats of deception.

    4. The demons “miraculously” possessed people.

    5. Ronald Weinland, according to the Bible, has miraculous powers, and YET has performed NO miracles, and his prophecies are totally wrong.

    6. The priests of Baal performed NO miracles.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Hmmm…let’s compare a couple of Ronald Weinland statements:

    1. March 17, 2012:

“It’s about not stealing and taking advantage of other people. It’s about not lying to people. That’s why God talks about hating a lie. And people lie. And then, you know, you tell one lie — you know what happens? You gotta tell another one to keep backing it up. And you can’t keep track of all the lies.”

    2. March 12,2011:

“So, if I’m not a prophet I’ll reason with you accordingly and be open with you about it…So often for those who do not believe that I’m a prophet, the question is asked, “What will you do if these things do not come to pass?” And I’m going to answer that more fully in this particular sermon today…So again, some cannot wait for me to say that I am not a prophet, or to say that I am a false prophet. Indeed, no one has long to wait do they? Isn’t that amazing? May 27, 2012 is not too far away and if Europe hasn’t risen by early 2012 and if China does not begin destroying the earth before that date, then the reality would be manifest much sooner, obviously. You don’t have to wait until 2012.”

  • Delusion disorder is serious and is classified in the DSM IV under Schizophrenia.

It should be pointed out that Folie à deux (the folly of two) is also a mental disorder characterized by delusional thinking caused by the influence of another person (remove the influence and the patient gets better — albeit, sometimes slowly).

I do know how serious mental illness can be and it is no joke. I also believe that the minds of PKGers are seriously distorted by the influence of what we call the “insane” false prophet. They are suffering. RW is a danger to (not so much himself and) others. People need to get away from him to recover.

It should also be pointed out that the “Key to Prophecy”, British Israelism, was first actively promoted by Richard Brothers who was declared insane and put in a mental asylum for his crazy nutism as being a danger to himself and others (such as the King of England). Belief in the base British Israelism upon which the religion of Herbert Armstrong was based is insane. The religion of RW is based on Herbert Armstrong’s religion and is an even greater distortion of this insanity.

Any reasonable person observing the behavior of the PKG group should be able to ascertain that their behavior is not rational; it just isn’t: Some of them seem to be wrecking their futures even as we speak, but they just are not able to discern reality from destructive fantasy.

    It’s bad.

    It’s really bad.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Douglas: Yes indeed, it is interesting how Herbert W. Armstrong used the eccentric “revelations” of a criminally insane Englishman to make his own claims! Brothers even designed flags for New Jerusalem…while in the asylum.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

I should design a flag for Ronald Weinland: Pure black, with the following written in red Gothic letters: Falschen Propheten

  • Englishman? Well, maybe technically, but Richard Brothers was Canadian, I think.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Nope. “Canada” was founded in 1867. Brother’s birthplace was an English colony. He was English., and died before Canada become a nation.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

And just so you PKG folks don;t forget, let’s listen in on Ronald Weinland PROVING through his very own words that he is a False Prophet…

  • Well, yes, but Richard Brothers was born in Port Kirwan, Newfoundland and Labrador (earlier known as Admiral’s Cove), which became part of Canada when it became a nation, so technically you could be correct.

Or maybe I could say that he was born in a nation which became Canada?

If I said it that way, would he be Canadian?

Uninformed people would say “yes”. They are in the majority. I win.

  • For further information check “oks: A Guide to the Outer Limits of Human Belief” at

Look at first chapter on Religion.

    Has diagram and everything.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Then by that logic, Douglas, you are Native Indian, as the land you were born on was native soil until it was renamed. That also makes the ancient Hawai’ians who lived thousands of years ago Americans, and the British troops who controlled India, East Indians. Thus, the Vietnamese are Chinese, and the Scots are Vikings, and the Vikings who made it to Canada 1000 years ago are Canadians.

That makes me a Prophet of God…now give me some money!

  • Atrocious says:

I still wish someone would sneak in the services of PKG and play that video (above a couple of comments) to the congregation. How ’bout you, Avalo? You wanna do that? What do you think would happen if you could do that?

  • Jocko says:

For the second week in a row Ron brought up his infamous “a time to be sobered” sermon from last years feast. Below are Ron’s words not mine.

10:42 “indeed as the sermon was entitled a time to be sobered. It shook a lot of people, that’s what God had designed it for, that’s what Jesus Christ gave it for, gave it to me to give, so that it would shake people, to help you to think about what is the most important thing in life, in your life, in what you’re living, and the bottom line is, it is what you’re living, no matter what happens in earth-on earth “.

  • martin says:

The man is a imbecile, I wonder if he reads the bible at all?

Christ said to “watch, watch….watch” …..and he gave descriptions of many physical events to watch for HERE ON EARTH.

He told you to watch for armies surrounding Jerusalem.

He told you to watch for a man calling down fire from the sky, in the “view of men” (something you would see would your eyes)

He told you to watch for visible signs in the heavens.

Ronald Weinland of course DOES NOT WANT YOU TO WATCH.

If you did, you would then see that he is a complete failure, and has fulfilled NOTHING.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

After 2:20 Ron tells people NOT to travel to Europe when he is there, and NOT to travel to Jerusalem in May.

Of course. You don’t want anyone of your sheeple to witness your escape from your lies and deceit, do you Ronnie?

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

5m:35s : “Democracy isn’t right in the first place. It isn’t God’s government.”

Classic Weinland. “Democracy isn’t right…”. So in place of democracy we get God’s government?

    1. Stoning children to death (Deuteronomy 21:18-21)
    2. Selling your children (Exodus 21:7)
    3. Killing anyone who works on Saturday (Exodus 31:12-15)

Ronald Weinland is a False Prophet, and Christianity is a sickness that has poisoned the world…

  • Helen says:

What exactly now did God give Ron to shake us up.?? I feel left out. I didn’t feel a shake. Did you?

Christianity doesn’t poison the people Avalo, it is the SO CALLED millions of christians around the world that poison and screw it up by taking what they THINK without knowledge and preach poison of their own belief to others. I don’t feel anyone has the right to push any belief on anyone. How about just being nice thoughtful people.
Which I don’t consider they should call themselves christian anyways. Millions of people I think like to use that word to loosely if you ask me, and in
a total wrong way. Christianity it totally in my belief is between you and who your God is. All the other good things we do isn’t just christians, they are athiest, agnostics, buddha, ect.ect. Christianity does not have the only hold on the good things, in fact most don’t in my opinion.

Sure Ron doesn’t want anyone where he is at over seas. Telling you he has a big fat account some where and him and Laura will go to a country where they don’t extradite anyone back to the United States. Is that the word I want. extradite?

  • Jocko says:

Helen, At last years feast Ron gave his “a time to be sobered” sermon which included his “what if my job hasn’t started yet, what if Jesus Christ is not returning on May the 27th” commentary that sent shivers down the spines of many PKG members.

He then told the membership they had nothing to worry about because those thoughts were put into his head by Satan, not God and he believed with all his being Christ was returning on the 27th.

Today he tells us that same sermon shook a lot of people, and that’s what God designed it for, that’s what Jesus Christ gave it for, gave it to me to give.

  • Helen says:

Thanks for that info Jocko. I know Ron loves to put shivers down the members spine. So now satan puts stuff in Ron’s mind too!. Or is that when he just makes a statement that doesn’t come true? WOW he is so powerful!!
If Ron likes to shake people up and scare the crap out of them, I sure would like to give him one heck of a shaking. By the time we all line up to shake him
he will have the “humpty dumpty baby shake sydrome” .
PS. I am not making fun of baby shake syndrome, I think it is HORRIBLE. But we are talking about a mean aweful liar here who gets is rocks off by decieving people with his scare tatics.

  • Jocko says:

Helen, In the same commentary as above I believe Ron also said something about not being fully clothed in sackcloth until May the 27th and Christ returning on Pentecost 2015 before telling his audience all those thoughts came from Satan.

Today he changes his story and says the sermon came from Christ in order to shake people. I’m pretty sure it was this same sermon that turned out to the straw to break the camel’s back for Chacha. I wonder what she’s thinking?

  • Helen says:

Gosh Jocko. Same old stories, just a different day! I’d truly would think this should be getting old for the believers of Ron. Apparently, Ron can convince them of anything..

  • martin says:

I think Ronald Weinland is awfully confused….and in his confusion he betrayed something

    1) Ronald initially stated that a thought was put into his mind BY SATAN that Jesus was possibly NOT returning on May 27, 2012
    2) Ronald then states ….103:38. Because this (sermon for #1) was from God,

ergo: Satan is Ronald Weinland’s god.

    Finally he got something right.

  • Rev. Wayne says:

Many people call him a false prophet, which he is, but I think his crimes are deeper, aside from tax evasion. Anyone, doing what Weinland is doing, can be considered antichrist. The spirit of. While the individual members of his “congregation” are responsible for believing and following this man, he bears the greater responsibility for teaching and preaching total garbage and nonsense.

It stuns me, that he is able to keep a following at all, considering his consistent record of failure.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on ME.

What will happen on May 27, when the Lord does NOT return? How many will continue to follow him? What excuses will he have for this failure?

How can anyone believe that the events described in Revelation, applies to his one little church? The Abomination of Desolation was NOT Joe Tkatch. Where have the terrible events of the final 3.5 years been hiding? Because Ron prayed them away? I think not.

His arrogance is astonishing. Only Ron and his little following know the truth. The rest of the entire world, is wrong? Personally, I’m comfortable with my relationship to the Father and Son. Even though Ron says I’m in error. This guy, is a work of art, let me tell you.

And where is the Christian attitude, when he’s putting down the Protestant and Catholic religion? Noticeably absent, that’s where. We’re all just so dumb. Only Ron can reveal truth.

You can tell Armstrong raised him. Oh, I’m sorry, God’s Apostle, Herbert Armstrong. NOT. What a crew.

I listen to his weekly garbage for entertainment. And to figure out how he keeps the scam going.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    Martin: Actually Ronald Weinland DIDN’T say that. You wrote;

Wrong. You are creating a false equivalency between the thought and the sermon about the thought. Satan inspired the thought, Jesus inspired the sermon ABOUT what Satan whispered in his ear, ergo Ronald Weinland has actually not contradicted himself. He is still a liar and a charlatan, but his statement is not contradictory.

  • 4. Putting false prophets to death.

  • Christian says:

Rev. Wayne…Amen! Did Camping and other “False Prophets” retain a large percentage of followers after failed dates? It does seem likely that if his followers have made it this far, sadly, there may be no end in site for how long they will follow RW. I am praying for PKG members discernment.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Douglas: LOL! Good one. At least Ron would be erased from time if Yahweh ran the world…touche, good sir!

  • Hendrik says:

Thanks, you did a great job sumerizing this guy! Sad and sickening to see someone call himself a “prophet” and go around lying and “conning” people! I got his book (saw it advertised for FREE on-line) and shortly after I started reading it – RED flags came up! HE states that HIS book is the TRUTH (everything in it) and that was my first issue! There are so many questionable remarks in the first 25 pages of the book – I decided to google this guy and came upon your site! Thanks!!! I threw the book in my trash-can. Pathetic “little man” – I guess that if he does not REALLY repent, God will have a special place for him in hell!! I pray to God that he WILL repent – and really mean it – and be saved by the blood of our Savior!
Thanks again – you really did an awesome Job pointing this FALSE PROPHET out – that is what he is!
