Pot Kettle Black

David Pack has an article up on his website about False Prophet Ronald Weinland.  So, who is Dave Pack?  Well, as he mentions in his own article:

As we continue his “prophecies,” I can add that the next one elicited a very personal almost chatty letter from Weinland to me in late 2006 telling me that I—and certain other men who lead various splinters—would soon die.

That’s in reference to this statement in “2008 — God’s Final Witness”:

The sound of this thunder will be intensified by the early deaths of the leaders of the Philadelphia Church of God, the Restored Church of God and the Church of the Great God.

David Pack is the Herblet ayatollah of his own competing CoGlet, the Restored Church of God.  I call him “Clarion Call Dave”, in reference to a sermon he gave in 2007 demanding that his followers send in their money to support his own prophetic visions.  “Get those assets and get them here.”

In return, Dave shows Ron some left-handed mercy in this statement:

Some hope Ron Weinland goes to prison over alleged tax evasion. I don’t. If he does (informed lawyers suggest high probability), maybe it will save his and his wife’s eternal life.

Dave has something I agree with:

Recognize that once Ron Weinland’s prophecies fail, he has only one of four options: (1) Repent, acknowledging that he has been wrong. But, and here is the point, because they are false, such imposters NEVER do this. (2) Recalculate, claiming a prophecy was off by one year (or something similar), like William Miller of the Adventists did. (3) Spin his prophecies by claiming they were fulfilled in some mysterious or spiritual way. (4) Proclaim something akin to Christ is “in the desert” or “in the secret chambers.”

And continues on to prophesy that option #1 is not on Ron’s table.  I agree with that.

Dave does not have being one of the Two Witnesses in his future.  But as God’s One and Only True Apostle in The End Time, he will supervise the Two Witnesses who will arise from his own organization. Pot. Kettle. Black.

Dave has his eyes on PKG members, hoping to inherit them after Ron clearly fails (to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear, anyway). To any PKG members who might contemplate that, let me give you three words:  Frying pan.  Fire.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

David Pack says in the article: “The Bible says prophets fall into one of two categories—true or false. All prophets—past, present or future—are one or the other. They cannot be both, and they cannot be in-between.”Well said, Mr. Pack! Finally!! a CoG minister who has actually spoken some truth!

I may be an atheist, but the Bible is absolutely clear on that matter for those who follow Biblical teachings on discerning false prophets.

    RW is a false prophet

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    2008 -God’s Final Witness:

“By the fall of 2008, the United States will have collapsed as a world power, or it will have begun its collapse and no longer exist as an independent nation within six months after that time. Only the next few years can prove whether or not [my] books are true and of God. If nothing happens, then you can know positively that this is complete fiction.”

Nice work there Ron. You yourself have proved that your prophecies are COMPLETE FICTION…as NOTHING has happened.

  • You yourself have proved that your prophecies are COMPLETE FICTION

Not fiction so much as fantasy.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

We’ve had an off-topic debate overnight which I’ve moderated out.

  • chacha says:

Do all of the COG honchos have to have a globe in their photo? Dave’s globe looks rather puny.
    Do they have “Globe-envy”?
Kinda funny how they point at each other and say YOU LIAR!!

Ha. Well…you point a finger at someone else and there are three pointing right back at ya!

  • Matt says:

This guy is a mere piker anyway – no fire-breathing, no nukular splosions, and no marching asiatic hordes… obviously not a patch on Amazing Ronnie’s End-of-the-World Circus and Revue!

  • Whisper01 says:

    Globes symobolize “world wide”.
The words “world wide” don’t have a proper translation as it differs from person to person.
But the implications are “we span the globe with our theology, please join now no matter where you are and we we accept you money with open arms”.
Human beings are odd are they not? Go figure that.

  • Christian says:

It seems to me that PKG members might be able to successfully sue Ron for specific performance (possibly class action) as they have paid money to him with the understanding they would be part of the 144,000 sealed members to live on during the 1,000 years after Jesus returns. If that can’t happen, then perhaps they can file a civil suit against Ron for misappropriation of church funds once the IRS case is concluded.

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

MIKE!! I didn’t know Ron “ACTUALLY” wrote letters to this guy “David Pack” and others telling them they are going to die!! WOW!! Now that is really weird in a very sick, sick, sick, way… We all are going to die someday. DUH!!!! Was there a timeline for them to die? Ron is a Debbie Downer..

  • martin says:

I wonder if there is any copy of that letter. It would be interesting to read what Ronald the insane Weinland said.

    Dear minister,
I wish to inform you that you will die soon.
    Sincerely Ronald Weinland.

  • JB says:

Sinice I never heard of any COG church before my husband became involved with Ronnie, I have talked to many pastors of a variety of faiths and NO ONE has ever heard of PKG and a few remember hearing about other COG’s but don’t know anything aobut them. Ut bkows my mind at the self proclaimed importance of these guys.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

But don’t you see? That no one’s ever heard of them makes them special!!!!

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

That is funny Martin.. Can you imagine getting a letter like that. How about:
    Dear Ron Weinland, False Prophet.
You need to check yourself into a looney bin.
Everyone who is not in PKG.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

I can just imagine how hard D-Pack must have laughed at Ronnie’s letter:

    Dear Mr. Pack,

It is with great love and Godly wisdom that I wish to address you. The great God of Abraham that we worship is righteous and loving. He desires your worship and eagerly awaits your humble submission. But since you have chosen not to recognise me, Ronald Weinland, as End Time Witness, I must inform you that He is going to cause you to suffer from a painful internal illness that will rapidly spread and ultimately kill you. Your blood will be infected and toxic, and your wife and children will suffer depression and anxiety as they watch you physically wither as necrotic pus seeps from your mouth, ears and anus.

    Yours in Christ,

    Ronald Weinland
End Time Witness and Pastor General of the Church of God-Preparing for the Failure of the Return of the Kingdom of God.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

It will be interesting to see whether Ronnie mentions David Pack’s article tomorrow. Ronnie could really use that as “proof” that the scattered CoGs are trying to stop him and that this is some kind of proof that they are stirred up and fighting “God’s Truth”, or some other nonsense.

Personally, I am eagerly awaiting the next instalment of Ronnie’s Time LIne Compression Extravaganza. ‘

    1. ‘Asian Hordes’ will become one of the Chinese heads of state because he is in charge of millions of Chinese, and he himself can be symbolic of the Horde.
    2. ‘Europe Rising’ will now be a French citizen taking the elevator up the Eiffel Tower, because a “Europe-an” is “rising”.
    3. The Anti-Christ will be the ‘aunt’ of anyone who is against Christ, thus the dreaded “Aunty Christ”.
    4. Thousands of the scattered CoG members flocking to Ron will now become any CoG member who happens to travel through the Cincinnati airport on their way somewhere else.
    5. Baptisms will now be anyone taking a bath within 100 hundred miles of wherever the PKG meet on a Saturday.
    6. May 27th will become symbolic of ‘a type of day’ upon which Christ can return.
    7. The IRS criminal case against Ron will become death in ‘Israel’ because judge, jury, jail and Jerusalem start with the letter ‘J’.

Oh, tomorrow could be a doozy!

  • Kirrily XPKG says:

    Tomorrow will be interesting 🙂

Getting closer and closer Ronnie – what will you do?

  • So — are there any reports that RW hears voices in his head?

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

No reports of voices in his head.

But according to him, God puts thoughts in his mind. But according to his LGD sermon, so does Satan.

According to him, somehow he can tell the difference. Really????

  • Mike, that very much sounds like he not just hears voices in his head, he listens to them.

And then he reports them to his congregation.

  • Atrocious says:

I really don’t think he hears the voice of God at all. The nature of his talk, reflections, candid comments, seem to be those of satan because of the appeal to power, dominance, and wealth. It reminds me of what satan said to Jesus on the mountain looking over the land (the temptations). Only RW doesn’t say “get thee behind me, satan”. He seems to be saying, “Oh yeah! Isn’t that awesome? If I just do what you say, I can preach every day and everybody will be listening to ME!” I see no humility, no love or any of the fruits of God, just of the devil.

Can’t wait to read the sermon review tomorrow. I’ll be back.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Yeah…a magical, evil being that originated in Jewish folklore is influencing Ronald Weinland…of course!

  • Atrocious says:

No, Avalo….what I’m trying to get across to the pkg members (hopefully, they are reading this) is that, since they claim to “read the Bible” (which is obvious they don’t, they just listen to their god, Ron Weinland), and they are told through the Bible to “test the spirits” and such as that nature, they should see that RW does not exemplify what Jesus did, but what Satan did. Since they purportedly “follow the Bible”, they should see the RW is just the opposite of what they think he is. I know how you feel, Avalo, and I’m definitely ok with that, of course. But my comment was directed at pkg members, not you.

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

Mike and Douglas. I think the only voices Ron hears in his head would be laura nagging him, “Give these followers more truths, more B.S. I need more diamonds, more trips, etc. etc. If you want your other witness happy you will make sure you add in for them to pay more tithes”. “Yes my little humpty dumpty let’s not forget the tithes”. boo hoo

  • Laura has her diamonds. Does RW have a dog? Best friend and all that.

And I never really meant to imply that RW hears God or Satan… just voices.

Maybe he should trade Laura for a crust of bread in an attic?

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    1. Douglas: Ron isn’t displaying the concurrent paranoia and mania that would accompany voices in one’s head. Schizophrenics aren’t able to sustain the kind of level=headed deceit and tax evasion, etc, over the course of years. But I agree with you that he is not showing the normal signs of either a charlatan, or a prosperity theologist “selling” Jesus, like Creflo Dollar, or Joel Osteen.

    2. I totally agree with you, Atrocious! If the Bible alone is the standard for such judgements, then you and I are “preaching” the exact same message to the PKG. If the Bible is the standard they use to measure spiritual truth, and it is the source of Ron;s base theology, then the Bible CLEARLY reveals Ron to be a False Prophet and aligned with Satan, as you rightfully pointed out.

Only problem is that RW has taught them (wrongfully) that HIS interpretation of the Bible is God’s ay of explaining the Bible, which is stupid since that “fact” makes the Bible irrelevant. If God is necessary to explain his own words, then the BIble is not sufficient. In fact, BILLIONS of people in the past 2000 years have heard the Gospel without having ever read the Bible since most humans until the modern era have been illiterate. The MILLIONS of Christians who lived and died before printing and schooling HEARD the Word and believed! Martyrs for Christianity DIED horrible deaths on the belief that what they HEARD was the Truth about God.

Once again Ronald Weinland has gotten his theology wrong. If God speaks to him, the BIble is irrelevant. If God speaks to him to reveal the TRUTH of the Bible, then the BIble is flawed, and NOT God’s Word. If God speaks to Ronald Weinland in order to fill in the gaps, or to let humans now know the parts that haven;t been revealed, then God is evil. He has withheld salvation, healing, releif from confusion, heartbreak, and other such things that he could have fixed by advancing spiritual truth during the Spanish Inquisition, The Ukrainian Holocaust, the Jewish Holocaust in Germany and Rusia, the Armenian Holocaust, etc.

    1. According to Biblical standards, Ronald Weinland is a False Prophet.
    2. According to Ronald Weinland’s theology, God is a mysterious power who need Ron to speak for him on Earth to the church that Ronald Weinland founded after he left a cult, then was kicked out of a splinter of that same cult, then started his own cult on his own, unproven spiritual authority.

You are making a choice that, if you believe the Bible is true, will decide your salvation. Ronald Weinland is the path to the Lake of Fire, God is the path to eternal life and joy in the Kingdom. You are grown adults and have no excuse for acting in ignorance. If you leave Ron, you will have rejected a false prophet and tacitly have asked God to lead you to what is True. If you choose Ronald Weinland, and the Bible is true, then you WILL be standing right beside ME, Avalokiteshvara the ATHEIST, in the Lake of Fire as we both burn to a crisp…

  • Jocko says:

Avalo, Excellent post. One of your best yet.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Thank you, Jocko. I have to walk a fine line between trying to expose Ron to his own followers and make sure that they don’t think that it is my atheism that is leading me to do it.

I COMPLETELY reject the Bible, but that is not my point against Ronald Weinland. I am trying to use the tools of logic and rational thinking to SUPPORT the parts of the Bible that will help the PKG actually believe the BIBLE if they so choose, rather than the complete and utter lies that Ronald Weinland has told them. I am NOT a tool of the Devil, nor would I be “for” him if he existed. As a spiritual being he would also be guilty of not helping Mankind with his powers, so BOTH he and Yahweh are my enemies if they were real. So I am not fighting against Yahweh or for Satan. I am fighting for TRUTH. And Ronald Weinland, BY HIS OWN ADMISSIONS, EVEN WITHOUT THE BIBLE, IS A LIAR. You don;t even need to understand his theology to see he is a liar.

Forget about his ministry, he himself:

    1. Said he would repent if the Asian Hordes and Europe were not on the rise before 2012. HE LIED.
    2. Said he would quit his ministry if the events in his book didn’t happen EXACTLY, as the exactness is PROOF of God’s inspiration and revelation. HE LIED.
    3. Did not report bank accounts and interest to the IRS for FIVE YEARS. That is LYING.
    4. Said that there would be no US President ion 2009. HE LIED.
    5. Said jesus would return in Sept. of 2011. HE LIED.
    6. Said you and I and everyone here would die of a quick death from the inside as the first proof of his Witness power. HE LIED.

The fact that the PKG has ignored these FACTS and allowed Ronald Weinland to continue lying to them and not standing up to this LIAR is tacit support for his lies. The PKG are now GUILTY of being an accessory to the lies and spiritual deception of those whom Ronald Weinland fools into joining the PKG. Thus, by Biblical standards, they are following ans supporting an Anti-Christ. Such people will not inherit the Kingdom of God, as they are causing the innocent to stumble and children to be raised believing a LIE about God. They have now chosen Ronald Weinland over GOD. They have earned their place alongside me in the lake of Fire, unless they leave Ron, the only path towards salvation they have left to them right now.

In fact, I almost hope they STAY in the PKG so I can watch them cry and fall apart as May 27th passes and Jesus doesn’t return, and they realize that Ronald Weinland has been knowingly lying to them all along. Their uproarious laughter at Ron’s jokes and lies makes me hope they crash and burn big time and they realize that they are the only ones to blame for their misery and destroyed lives.

Pride goes before a fall…you arrogant sheep…see you in the oven on Judgement Day…

  • You don’t have to have paranoia or mania for either schizophrenia or hearing voices in your head (which may not be at all the same things). I have the DSM IV-TSR. Perhaps you can share the exact reference so I can get this straight (and hopefully not get an Internet reference which came from a different Internet source which quoted Wikipedia — I get that a lot).

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

First of all, you are misrepresenting what I said. I didn’t say that “you don’t have to have paranoia/mania for schizo/voices”. I said that they are ‘concurrent’, a general term that doesn’t imply “100% all the time, completely linked, according to science”. I have never met a rational (un-paranoid), level-headed (non-manic) schizophrenic who was/is NOT taking medication. If you are going to argue semantics then don’t assume that what you think I meant was what I actually wrote.

The DSM IV-TR would classify “voices” under an Axis I illness like schizophrenia as a “positive” symptom i.e. one that can be treated. I have never heard of auditory hallucinations as a positive symptom of any other illness (BiPolar II, narcissism, or any of the personality disorders) other than flashbacks of hallucinogenics, kids with ADHD imagining amazing things that they hear in their mind’s ear, aspirin causing a ringing sensation in one’s ears, etc. But the hearing voices as a chronic symptom is a hallmark of schizophrenia. BiPolar I types might have delusions of hearing voices, but as far as I understand it, they are not “hearing” the voices speak to them and directing their actions. “hearing God” is not the same as “haring God tell you to burn things”. Iheard God’s voice when I was on acid once, but he didn’t tell me to start a church or that the government was coming to get me.

So based on that I stand by my claim, BUT I do not have a copy of the DSM IV-TR, nor am I an expert on its contents…so if I am 100%, totally wrong, and didn’t get the exact scientific words written down in the order that pleases you, then I guess I have no solid argument for you.

Either way, we are both on the right side of Ronald Weinland’s theology…that he is a FALSE PROPHET and a LIAR.

  • Jocko says:

Ron’s at it again talking sackcloth and preparing the faithful for another fast. A different kind of fast. A fast of gratitude. Something’s up, that’s for sure.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Yeah, I heard that…but I got so bored I didn’t listen for more than a few minutes at the beginning. A fast for what, indeed…

Why would they need a/to fast? Jesus is definitely returning in 2 months for sure no doubt, we here at the blog died 4 years from some illness, the USA is no longer a country, there is no US president, the world has been burnt up, the Beast Power is killing Christians everywhere, and the Asian Hordes (all 200 million of them) are sweeping across the Middle East right now. Clearly Ronald Weinland is the End Time Witness of God. Shouldn’t it be us miserable, scattered people outside of God’s True Church who should be fasting?

I’ll bet they will be fasting on behalf of Ron as he is “persecuted” by the IRS for merely lying to them about God’s secret bank account, 24 bank accounts, and 11 credit cards…just like Prophet Daniel and Apostle Paul were. Or they could be fasting for Ron so that when May 23rd comes, God will “decide” that Ron;s death will now be spiritual, and that God wants Ron to not go to Jerusalem, rather stay in the Netherlands to preach until his vacation…I mean “ministry” is finished.

Personally, I am also going to “fast” on that day by taking my wife to Ruth’s Chris steakhouse downtown Toronto,, by Rolls Royce limo, and have a big steak and bottle of cabernet sauvignon…in humility and repentance to the Great God Yahweh who is completely real, and worthy of my terrified obedience…

  • Hey, Avalo, voices in the head could be from demons! 😉

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Find that in the DSM IV, LOL!!

As silly as it sounds, I would actually choose demons over schizophrenia in diagnosing Ron. His activities, if “Biblically analysed”, would definitely fall under ‘Anti-Christ’ or ‘Satanic’ in their ideology and implementation. So as much as you and I may differ in thoelogy or philosophy, I think between the two of us we have enough evidence to convict Weinland of several spiritual crimes against humanity. They need to make a TV series starring you and I, “CSI: Special Prophecy Division” where we track down Ronald Weinland every week and throw him in jail!!

Douglas, you could be the straight laced, by-the-numbers ‘Danny Glover’ to my unorthodox, rule bending ‘Mel Gibson’…Lethal Weapon meets CSI, with Mike (DDTFA) as the mysterious Agent X who supplies us with hard to find info on the inner workings of the PKG.

Episode Sixteen: “One Day in May” – Plot Synopsis

Agent Becker investigates the death of Joseph Tkach Sr., and discovers that Weinland’s numbers don’t add up. Meanwhile Agent Avalo and the mysterious Agent X argue over what constitutes a debate as they work together to bring down Weinland’s empire of deceit and fraud. Episode guest stars David Hyde-Pierce as David Pack, and Gary Busey as Gerald Flurry.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    CSI; Special Prophecy Unit
    Episode Seventeen: The Lost Tribe

Agent Becker investigates Ronald Weinland’s claims and discovers that British-Israelism is fiction. Meanwhile Agent Avalo is temporarily suspended and taken off the case for yelling a lot and calling theists ‘stupid’ by Agent X, who now runs the division responsible for tracking and investigating Weinland’s crimes, from behind the scenes. Episode guest stars David Letterman as Roderick Meredith, Dick Cheney as Ronald Weinland, and Rosie O’Donnell as Laura Weinland.

  • chacha says:

    Ha ha! Good one!

Regarding the “special fast” by the “special people”….I thought fasting was to humble yourself before god? Where is there a “thankfulness fast” in the bible? Oh wait….we’re talkin’ PKG. Who needs that ol’ book?

    never mind…silly me.

  • Avalo, hillarious, just hillarious.

    But I’m not straight-laced.

Some days I can be funnier than anything.

I asked the check out clerk at Fred Meyer if Organic Milk was milked from cows who were fed vegetarians.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    1. You also could have asked the clerk which “organ” they milked to get “organic” milk.
    2. You could have asked the clerk that, since they have “organ-ic” milk, where do they keep their “saxophon-ic” fruit punch, or their “guitar-lic bread”!

You and I are the Kings of Comedy, Douglas, I swear…

Not bad for a couple of Germans, eh Herr BECKER?

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    CSI: Special Prophecy Unit
    Episode Eighteen: “Repentance”

Agent Becker is sent to investigate possible evidence of a rising 200 million man army while Agent Avalo searches for his missing lunchbag in the fridge. Agent X reveals a new secret about the IRS case against Ronald Weinland as Agent Avalo learns the horrible truth about his own cooking. Guest stars Christopher Walken as Herbert W. Armstrong, and the New York Giants as the Asian Horde.

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

Never thought of a CSI:SPU special prophecy unit. That is pretty good.
I don’t know why, but the more Ron speaks the more I think of a comedy sitcom. But CSI:SPU may be more popular with the viewers.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    CSI: SPU
    Episode Nineteen: “Questions”

Agent Becker investigates the possible rise of the Beast power with the assistance of rookie trainee Agent Helen Terlecki Wright, who has uncovered possible new clues as to the whereabouts of the Anti-Christ. Meanwhile Agent Avalo investigates the possible rise of laundry as he searches under the beds of his children. Guest stars Sandra Oh as Agent Avalo’s wife, and Renee Zellweger as Agent Terlecki Wright.

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

Love it Avalo!!! Let us get started..WAIT!! We need a Producer and director.. Mike are you up for the job? You already have the screen play at hand. OH NO, but Mike hasn’t finished the ending yet! We still have episodes that need to be finished. Maybe Mike will beable to finish it by this summer.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

“the ending”? Helen, as long as Ron is still breathing and able to voice a semi-coherent thought no matter how ridiculous, there will be no ending.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

  • Kirrily XPKG says:

    Lmao!! Go the NNS!!

  • Rev. Wayne says:

Ron repent and confess to being a false prophet? Very unlikely. He’ll do one of the other three options.

Funny thing about Prophets. God gives them a message, they preach the message, and then, it comes TRUE!

I don’t think God plays head games, or jerks people around via prophecy just to make some point. As Ron claims happens whenever he’s wrong again. It was to strengthen the Church? Bring them together?

While God does have every single subatomic particle in the Universe under His control, He doesn’t play little games like that. It sounds as if Ron insists that God gives wrong information. Or false. Not smart Ron. Not smart at all.

The Father, is truth. Period. He does NOT lie or give inaccurate information, not even to “Prophets” like you, Ron.
