A True Bill

False Prophet Ronald Weinland made his initial appearance in federal court in Covington, KY today.  His arraignment is scheduled for November 22, next Tuesday, at 4 PM.  At the arraignment, the charges will be formally read and Ronnie will get to enter his plea.  At the arraignment other hearings will probably be scheduled, sentencing if he pleads guilty or other types of hearings if he doesn’t.

The text of the indictment was made available as well, and here it is:

ORDER FOR ISSUANCE OF SUMMONS
RONALD E. WEINLAND DEFENDANT
* * * * *
The Court ORDERS that the Motion of the United States for issuance of summons is GRANTED, and Summons shall be ISSUED for the Defendant, Ronald E. Weinland, to APPEAR in United States District Court at Covington, Kentucky, on November 17, 2011, at 9:30 AM and shall DIRECT the Defendant to contact the United States Probation Office in Covington, Kentucky, at telephone number (859) 392-7934, within 48 hours of the receipt of the Summons, excluding weekends, in order to arrange an interview by the United States Probation Office for the purpose of obtaining information pertaining to the pretrial release of the Defendant.

————–  end of order for summons ————-

From the order for summons, it seems that Ronnie hasn’t actually been arrested and required to wear the metal bracelets.  His blog still has travel plans within the US up through January.

It’s also interesting that Ronnie is charged with income tax evasion and to the greatest dollar figure for tax year 2008.  By the summer of 2008, Ronnie knew he was under criminal investigation.  At least he shut down his Swiss bank accounts at the end of 2008 (according to his statements) so he wouldn’t be hit with charges for following tax years. In 2009, Ronnie applied for one filing extension but failed to file on October 15.  But my research indicated that the IRS will grant indefinite filing extensions while under criminal investigation, so I wonder what if any legal advice Ron was getting.  But then you have to wonder what an insane lying false prophet is thinking anyway.

    TIME IS RUNNING OUT…

That was the title of Ronald’s last blog post….sort of prophetic(?)

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Mike: Does ‘indefinite filings extensions’ mean he can report 2004-2008 right now before he is charged, and thus have the indictment dropped? Or that he has had filings extensions for the last three (or four?) years while being investigated, but now that he has been indicted that privilege is suspended?

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

While I am waiting for Mike’s answer..I will muse aloud. I thought he might have “made a mistake” once by not including the Swiss account, etc, but he has CLEARLY been doing this year after year if the indictment is correct. Far beyond ‘Oops!’. And the FACT that Audra tried to/pleaded the Fifth Amendment? That is not a good sign to say the least.

What the heck is it about modern prophets and apostles that makes them love sexual impropriety and fraud so darn much? The second they open their mouth and start saying “God revealed to me…” you know a boy is going to get touched funny and money will disappear…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

I wish someone would make a video like this about Ron…

(Note: The man in the video, Robert Tilton, was eventually arrested for fraud)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-m58mVd1uMY&feature=related

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Sorry. Not ‘arrested’ for fraud, sued for fraud by former followers, etc. He has been on and off the air for years now but still finds a way to come back and milk a few million from the sheeple every time.

  • martin says:

Between the back taxes and the heft fine…that’s about $607,065.

I expect Ronald will command his members to hold a lot of bake sales. I would be surprised if order his members, as a show of faith, to sell their homes to foot the bill.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

I think the answer to your questions were already in my post.

“will grant indefinite filing extensions while under criminal investigation” does not mean that he can go back and unfile the tax returns for the prior years that he already filed. He wouldn’t be charged with non-filing if he had been granted an extension filing for tax year 2008.

  • martin says:

If he pleas innocent, he’ll demonstrate that he’s a liar as well as a thief.
If he pleas guilty, then he’s shooting himself in the foot, and will owe back taxes and fines.

  • Matt says:

    Hmmm…

How much time will he get to pay up if he gets convicted? Would it be an option to plead guilty and not do time or pay until after may?

If that is an option, what a perfect test of is bona fides :)

  • randy terlecki says:

time, time and time and half is that 5 years? the sheep are told not to go these site but they must not lesson because they have no problem call my mom and tell her what i post.

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

Well Randy see how they are still trying to divide your mom from her family.. I am sure i am in the dog house too!!! Churches can be such GOSSIP HOLES.. I love my aunt dearly, so much, but i know she will probably never talk to me again after things the PKG has told her. What i think of Ron and Laura has nothing to do what i feel for my aunt.. like i said before, i have always loved her and always will. This is her choice..

  • randy terlecki says:

    my words exactly!! cuz!

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

Great minds think alike cuz. haha

  • Whisper01 says:

“the Defendant, Ronald E. Weinland, to APPEAR in United States District Court at Covington, Kentucky, on November 17, 2011, at 9:30 AM”

So he’s been “summoned” for a court appearance to “plead” on Nov 21st Monday (not the 22nd).
How indignant of them! They just don’t seem to get the point that he is more powerful than them, that he could burn them all to the ground with a breath weapon to end all breath weapons. Either they are brave beyond measure of dumber than rocks. Of course to see him one would think “dumpy pale beyond middle age American male”, nothing to worry about here. They should test his stomach content for combustible liquids though.
I wonder how he will plead? I wonder what his plans are for making up the loss to his retirement plan? The sheeples will be involved me thinks?
    Go figure?

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

It is on Tuesday the 22nd. Had a calendar problem of my own, it fell off the wall and when I put it back it was set to November of last year. Fixed my post. Thanks.

  • JB says:

Under the penalties, even if Ronnie doesn’t get jail time, he will have to pay the fine and probably the back taxes and will be under supervised release. That should be a nix to any travel plans, especially international. This would explain why he is already mentioning 2015. Hard to die on the streets of Isreal if you are stuck in jail or at home. Let the spin begin.

  • randy terlecki says:

may be thats where the hunders of thousands of people come from to be Baptiste, from prison lol his room mates!

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

He is mentioning 2015? Where does he do that? That would be yet another fabulous nail in the coffin of Ron’s theology…

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

Ava, from memory the 2015 thing came in the sermon a few weeks ago when he said doubts came to him about 2012 – he then thought 2015, then re-canted (again) as he is now sooooo sure about 2012.

I have felt for ages he would turn it into a 7 year tribulation.

If he is going to be stuck in the country in May next year, he is going to be forced to change his timeline! Interesting times ahead!!

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

    My recollection agrees with Kirrily’s.

Ron has indicated that he’s going to spin the tax situation as God’s hand in action. Will be interesting to see how he pulls that off, but I don’t think it will be difficult for him to sell whatever it is to his flock. Maybe the beast power will rescue God’s most formidable prophet from the feds in May so they can take him to Jerusalem and gloriously kill him.

  • martin says:

The spin: Since the church is not ready, God will re-boot The Tribulation. The Tribulation is 7 years and the second half of the 3 1/2 years BEGINS May 27, 2012.

It must be because Christ is not coming back on May 27, 2012, therefore Ron’s timing is off (which God allowed), and Ron will repent of his error and correct it, and we’ll be back to square one.

Oh….and they’ll be a lot of bake sales from here to 2015.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

I think it would be odd to call 2015 a return year. 2012 has the whole Mayan calendar mystique, 200/2001 had the Millennial mystique, WWII had an end-of-the world feeling, etc. 2015 seems to lack any kind of significant prophetic shape or form. Plus, even though Ron rejects the idea of a rebuilt temple and altar, the Bible says the Anti-Christ or someone will stand in it. Until the Dome of the Rock is removed or destroyed, the Temple can’t be rebuilt. The 10 kingdoms of the E.U. don;t seem to be in effect, and the Asian hordes have not done their thing yet. A certain amount of spiritualizing I suppose could be taken into account, but the physical description parts seem to be pretty direct (a third of the sea, half of the world, the entire world, etc).

Being thrown in jail (for preaching, or failing to worship other gods) is even something that would support Ron;s theology. But 2015 and tax fraud indictment don’t fit the bill spiritually or chronologically.

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

Yeah Martin! Maybe he will say the first 3.5 years was the Tribulation for the CHURCH (spiritual).

The second 3.5 years is the Tribulation for the WORLD (physical).

Yep, it’s looking more like a ‘back to square 1′ scenario all the time.

Bake sales! Yeah! That and maybe the wench selling just a few of her diamond rings???

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Don’t forget about the gold that Ronnie has stored up too.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

The website “jewsandjoes.com” has a posting from May 8, 2008 that talks about 2015/16 or 2016/17 as the Return of the Messiah because of the order and number of Feasts. But I don’t Ron knows about it or not, and I may have just given him the clue he needed to bend his theology further! But “jewsandjoes” thought of it first, so Ron can’t claim it as divine revelation, or his idea.

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

    Good find Ava!

Don’t forget, Ronnie wasn’t the first to come up with his second timeline either – another COG splinter minister did, and Mike DDTFA did it first.

I never forget before his first timeline failed, all the timings could ONLY be given by God and not figured out. Then of course, when others came up with timeline 2 before Ron did – suddenly timings were ‘not rocket science’.

    What a tosser.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

And by “wench” you mean the adoring wife of a preacher who practices HWA theology, who you don’t care what they believe as you now ‘live and let live’…

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Ronnie’s current timeline was put out by at least two others before he did: James Malm and Bob Ardis. I also figured it out and announced it before Ron did. But they dropped it pretty quickly when nothing happened. Ron’s going to ride this pony awhile longer, though.

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

That’s right Ava, don’t care what she believes – but I do care that her beliefs affect others in such a bad way (even though still their choice).

She can believe whatever crap she wants – couldn’t care less.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

I am totally amazed by your prowess at finding out all this stuff Mike. Why are you not in the FBI or CIA? Assuming you aren’t…

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

My question is: does she really truly believe it? Even though she reenforces Ron’s fantasy in his own mind?

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

That’s the nice thing about being free of theology…you and I Kirrily are not hypocrites about our “faith”! :)

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Avalo, look for the car parked outside your house with a guy with binoculars ;)

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

There are so many scenarios that Laura could be enacting or believing.

    1. Is she playing the part because she fears the economy and what may happen if they don;t stock up on the sheeple’s money?

    2. Is she in it because she is corrupt?

    3. Is she the actual strategist and Ron’s in it because he is the one that fears the economy, etc?

    4. Is she convinced she really is a Second, Silent Witness?

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

I’ve wondered if Mike is in the FBI too!

Ava, I try to be live and let live – UNLESS it affects my life and my countries freedom.

For example, Muslims for a while over here did NOT have to remove their full face coverings when pulled over by Police. That meant Police could not identify, nor charge the offender.

Well, that belief affects ME. So, I am against it.

Anyone can believe whatever the hell they want – but if it affects my life and the laws of my beautiful country DUE to their belief, well I will fight tooth and nail against that.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

You can’t see into my house because the gate is too far away from the house! Unless you are looking through the across the pool, past the guest cottage, around the giant gold statue of me, and behind the helicopter pad where I store all my diamond encrusted sports cars, and diamond encrusted diamonds!!

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

I sometimes think Laura is behind all of this Ava.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Laura is looking through the gate at my house right now?!! Ahhhh! Somebody go hide the diamonds!!!

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Man, I would LOVE to see Laura Weinland get into a fight with my wife, a South Vietnamese who even as a kid resisted the Viet Cong, and hide in garbage filled with rotting fish, maggots, and rotting cloth diapers for HOURS to avoid being captured or killed. “Fear” is not in her system.

Quite literally, my little pacifist wife, if cornered, could tear Laura’s boobs off and feel nothing…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

And speaking of false prophets, Helen:

Google the name “Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez” and ask yourself, are you ready to forgive him for trying to assassinate President Obama, and claiming that he is Jesus Christ?

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

Actually Ava. The guy and his family live here where I live. I know the family, we eat at their restuarants all the time, so i don’t have to look him up. But thanks anyway..

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

FBI flew out here yesterday and questioned some of our friends who Oscar did side work for.

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

FBI guys are detaining or whatever you call it, on one person we know because Oscar got ahold of him and wanted the guy (we know ,a computer geek) wanted computer man to make a home page for Him to get support on his (oscars) behalf… FBI flew out here like fast. WOW those guys know everything.

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

I know these people the FBI questioned over and over again, and went through their backgrounds had nothing to do with what Oscar did.. Oscar only worked for them on those odd jobs, it is not like they were best buds with him..

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

Avalo, to be honest. In this town (which is 85 percent screwed up) most of them think Obama is the anti-christ or one of Satans henchmen.. No lie.. My sons got out of this town for so many reasons, and i was glad they did. I didn’t want them putting up with this towns antics.. It is like living in the “STEPFORD FAMILY TOWN” if you know what I mean..

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

hmmm I noticed they published our computer guys name. Monte. Surprised. I guess that is why he didn’t show up again today to fix my hubby’s computer..:)

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

OH . sorry Avalo. did you get your answer to your question?

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

No, no, Avalo. Laura’s not the guy with the binoculars. Look past her to the FBI van ;)

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

Hate to say this Mike. But Ronnie just may be safe for at least for a few days without being watched. I think the prophet can take a breather. All the FBI, secret service are too busy in this town investigating about the “BIG MAN” in Idaho:) Hey, it is a big HOOPLA here in this smaller town. We even are blessed with all the TV news Acherman from all around the states.. I think we made the map!!

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Wow, I wasn’t tracking this case. Seems we’re in the presence of fame here. Can we have your autograph? ;)

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

    Haha.. SURE Mike!

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Ok, looking, looking…Ahh! I see you now Mike (DDTFA). Wow! I didn’t know you looked like Bradley Cooper. And what kind of FBI agent hangs out in a Ferrari beside an FBI van?! Wait…wait!!
Is…is is that Jeri Ryan, Star Trek’s “7 of 9″ in there with you? What the hell is she doing down there in…

    …ohhhhhhhhh!!

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    Helen:

That must be amazing. I had no idea you lived so close to the “Anti-Christ”. Rough town…I feel for you! Please accept my apology for anything that you may have taken offence to. If you have to live in the belly of the beast daily, I should be WAYY more compassionate and respectful of your views. NYC, Washington D.C, Chicago: they are all hardcore towns for both great and bad reasons. Anyone who calls themselves a local of any city of this nature deserves all the support we can give. I used to live in a major American city, and it was both hardcore and fantastic at the same time. Really toughened me up and gave me an appreciation of American culture in many of its varieties.

I bow to your strength Helen. I really do…

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

    Yeah right..
Yep liviing in towns of Detroit and Chicago, does make one tough… loved the culture and people.. but to live here. Now that is pure luck!

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

Since this town is run by one main religion, all the way from the top and down.Which the religion is also known as a cult. Love to have you live here, they would have a field day with you. Trust me! All athiest haters big time. You would have alot of people to argue with..

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

They have even a bigger Prophet than Ron. And makes alot more money.. Except they steal legally..

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

That’s the way it is in this country. If you want to steal legally, start your own religion.

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

You better bow down to me, or i will sick this prophet and his people on you.!!! haha JK of course.

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

EXACTLY MIKE. You got that right!!!!

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

That is why i don’t go to churches, especially ones with Prophets.. I finally learned after the 2nd prophet.. “Helloooooo Helen, wake up”.. finally I figured out those prophets just want your money..

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Prophets always want profits…they are mutually inclusive!

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

I must say Helen, I really like having you around here. You have a lot of spunk, and it really keeps things upbeat and stomping…no matter if we disagree. I have a feeling you are going to really teach us a lot of things about life, and living as we discuss Ronald Weinland and his theology.

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

Avalo, I can tell you have been praying about this :) JK. To be serious here I don’t have a problem with you and what you believe or don’t believe. To me it is extremely interesting to hear ones stories and where they are in their life right now, and why. I really enjoyed reading your blogs on that. This blog can be a good tool for many of us. I don’t think we will have a problem Avalo..
I don’t know if I can offer much, but i did get a Chicago Bears tattoo for my 60th Birthday.. haha YEP!! Got up that morning and decided i am going to do something that is a big no no from my past. Church i should say.. so a tat came to my mind. Yes, I am an old rebel. haha
Thanks Avalo. You may not like me saying this, but that really means alot to me what you wrote.

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

OH and Ron doesn’t have a theology, he has crap.. oops. we weren’t aloud to say crap when i was in.. or say “swear” Oh crap there i go saying swear. Will i ever learn!!:)

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

“Praying”! :) LOL!! You are sassy! I have certainly met my match in you! There is no one I respect and appreciate more than a believer who will actually stand up and fight for their beliefs…

Tell you what…I will pray for you and Ronald/Laura Weinland…if you will read Frederick Nietzsche’s book “The Will to Power” for me! :)

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

I really do like you Avalo…yes you met your match.. haha I feel we are going to learn a 7734 of alot from each other.. Ok, Ok, i will read the book. Infact I will get on Amazon right now and order it. It will get here Monday..OH BOY what you kids make us middle aged people do.. I yi yi :) um. you put my name in the same sentence as Ron and Laura! wats up wit dat! :(

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

Speakiing of books. Avalo, there is this guy I would listen to when Bill Maher would interview him. (ok, i like Bill Maher, hang me) anyway, this guy is from England. He is an Athiest. I found him very interesting. Next time i saw him interviewed he was dying of cancer. BUT i can’t remember his name. I was going to get his book at one time. Do you know who I am talking about?

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

Avalo, I ordered it. Sounds interesting. It is out of stock now, so I won’t get it until 4 to 14 days…. Looks like i am going to learn alot about some of the words you guys talk about, like uhism or something like that.:) Hope you aren’t going to create a monster. :) When i get into reading things, i really get into it.. If my son doesn’t have that one, i will let him read it too. He is always reading. Sounds like he probably reads alot of things you do. So that means get my dictionary out. He just won’t read the Bible. Like i told you he had already studied that at one time along with all the other kinds of religion when working on one of his thesis. Unfortunetly the professor did not like what he wrote because the professor was religious, and my son came to the conclusion it was all wrong. He had to go above the professor and fight for his right to write what he felt was correct in his thesis so it would be excepted. Does that make sense to you? He won the battle.(he takes after me on “rights” for what we believe in, we just happen to not believe in the same thing, kinda like you and me. I guess that is why i know where you are coming from in a way..) I think you and him would have one hell of a good conversation..

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

The “cancer guy” is Christopher Hitchens, who wrote “god is Not Great-How Religion Poisons Everything”.

Be forewarned though helen, that Hitchens is a writer and NOT a theologian. A LOT of atheists hate his work because it is neither a smart criticism or correct account of Christian theological or philosophical debates. He talks about Christianity like Christians have not been struggling with, analyzing, debating, and interpreting the question of evil, free will, suffering, the soul, and such ever since DAY ONE of Jesus’ ministry. Hitchens conveniently forgets to mention the “Inner Life” section of Thomas a Kempis’ book “The Imitation of Christ”, a section of writing that has brought comfort and illumination to both theists and atheists for hundreds of years. So when you are reading Hitchens’ comments, take them with a grain of salt. Hitchens does NOT represent a reasoned argument against God. He basically just talks about everything anyone religious has done wrong.

You may also want to read Richard Dawkins’ books. He is an evolutionary biologist who presents the facts of evolution, BUT in my view makes the same mistake as Hitchens…which is that because evolution exists he has the right to tell you what it SHOULD MEAN to you. Science SHOULD tell us how dense granite is, or how to develop better scientific tools, etc, but they can NEVER tell you what salt “means” or what evolution “means”. Evolution existing is NOT a proof that there is NO God, but rather the Creation story is not accurate or true. But to say that no God of any kind or any form exists is NOT scientifically possible to do right now, no matter how advanced we are.

Today a big laboratory in Switzerland (CERN) repeated an experiment the showed that (neutrino) particles that they send through the ground to another lab in Italy travelled FASTER than light does through a vacuum. Once again, they must analyze the results, and repeat this experiment many times to make sure the result is not a mistake. But so far the two times they have done the experiment, neutrinos have travelled faster than light. This discovery is REALLY BIG because light has been the only thing up to now that we could use to absolutely guarantee certain measurements. The speed of light being constant is rock on which most of modern science is built. This is like discovering the world isn’t flat, that the Earth revolves around the Sun, electricity, that atoms exist, nuclear technology, radio, television, space travel…HUGE leaps forward for human civilization and understanding.

This new discovery, if it is confirmed to be completely accurate, is could lead to travelling to distant stars in months rather than MILLIONS of years, human/machine interfaces that move at the speed of human thought or faster, and other things. But it does not “mean” that God doesn’t exist or that you must believe God doesn’t exist, just like you believing in God doesn’t “mean” that science will never prove that no God of any sort has ever existed.

A book you might actually like reading though is Sam Harris’ book “Letter to a Christian Nation”. It is a reasoned argument against the claims of Christianity or indeed any religion, which is what atheism should be. Harris’ book is not a personal attack on the religious or attempt to prove them “wrong”. It is an argument, and I think you will enjoy it at the very least as further insight into what you children believe. But if you read all three, I guarantee you will come away with a lot of good knowledge about current trends in atheism, and a much better way to argue your point for Christianity.

I should probably not say this, as it might reveal who I am, or make all the amateur atheists cry “foul!”, but I recently gave a talk at a church to their youth about defending yourself against an unschooled atheist. The minister there though he should consult an actual atheist so the kids could hear an unbiased account of its true form and practice. A lot of young atheists are merely just whiny teenagers who hate “God” because it is fashionable or they didn’t get what they wanted for their birthday. Believe me, a whining atheist is way worse than some random guy that wants me know about Jesus!

Consider these reading selections are a kind of gift I offer you. Not to preach or convert, but rather to equip you with new ideas, arguments, and concepts to help you deal effectively and easily with challenges and debates over what you believe.

answering first sentence Avalo.. That is the guy and thanks for lettng me know. I am Glad I didn’t get it. That isn’t the type of read I would have liked.. I want the real meat, not fiction. I didn’t know he didn’t study theology. “So it was just another guy who wanted to make a buck, right?” Now Bill Maher can gets testy about christians too, but that is what he get paid for also. I haven’t watched his shows since last year. His panel of people got to be all the same thinkers..
    OK i real read on..

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

I ask my husband if he has heard of Richard Dawkins, (because that name sounded familiar), well come to have it the book by Dawkins is in my husbands library. He bought a few years ago. Not known to me, I thought it was just another one of his hundreds of science books. I believe Dawkins pushes “hate religion” alot doesn’t he??

I won’t read Hitchen’s. I already have Hawkins, and will be getting “the will to power”… Man I need my coffee before i write anymore. Just read where i wrote, real instead of will. ugh

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

I want to share something with you Avalo. I hope Mike doesn’t mind if this gets a little long winded. Avalo you don’t even have to get a kleenex out, I just want you to know a little bit what i came out of.
As I wrote before I always thought God dwelled in a church. I mentioned later that I finally found out a church is just a building, with preachers having their own theology of how they think it should be translated to others. It is their way only. Because they know the truth and no one else was given the truth but them.
My first cult was in 1989. We moved to Idaho Falls from Chicago. Wow, what a culture change. I got into Mormonism. People may not think they are a cult, but they are!! Trust me in that one.
I went through the whole gammit. Baptism, men putting their hands on my head and giving me the power of the Holy Spirit, went through the Sacred Temple, (secret, i call it), wore the magic underwear. And promised I would get a place in the Highest Kingdom and become a priestess. I mean really, what more could one ask for, a Priestess!! haha Then they had me teach the 8 year olds in Sunday School before their baptisms. As i was preparing my lessons I felt the teachings I was to give these young kids was not in my beliefs. I was to teach the girls to only marry return missionaries and marry in the temple. As i was to teach the boys to go on missions and marry GOOD mormon standing woman. cough cough.. Didn’t do it. I was to teach them to stay away from people who smoked, drank, had coffee, tea and weren’t Mormon worthy. And only teach about the Mormon Prophets starting with Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. And the three kingdoms of Heaven. Well, i just couldn’t buy all that stuff. In my heart it was BAD teachings for these young people. Like Brainwashing. So I taught them for about 15 minutes every Sunday, but taught the opposite on NOT to judge people. I told them, there are many good people out there of different faiths and thoughts, and smoking, drinking coffee and tea, doesn’t make you a bad person. Then we would eat what I would bring for the day, and play games. The kids loved it I must add, parents, not so much. Finally i talked to my husband about what they wanted me to teach the children. He said that is so WRONG!! So I decided to go the Bishop and tell him exactly what I thought. I told him I couldn’t teach these things to the kids. And regarding the Prophets who are the church, like Joe smith, Brig. young, ect. Were nothing but horney old men. (yes his jaw dropped). And why isn’t the Bible taught, I ask. Well needless to say I was told “not to ask such questions and have Faith.” Also, he told me “Satan was working on me to put these thoughts in my head. So i better be very careful.” I left his office not feeling anybetter than when i went in. Infact, it got me mad. I thought to myself, who is he to tell me about my testimony on anything. The only pleasure I got in that conversation was to tell him those prophets had so many wives becuase they were horney, not becuase God told them to. As you can imagine they took me out from teaching completely and gave me jobs that had to do with kitchen help, fixing dinners, work with scouts to get their badges, and temple work, washing the ladies clothes so when they came in they would have fresh white clothes to wear when doing endowment and baptism for the dead. After so long I finally decided, (and i was,) a hypocrite. Yes indeed. I started to do my own research on Mormonism and the Prohets and found it to be actually dumb and funny.. what a joke. I just couldn’t believe i fell for all the garbage. And i never learned the Bible. I ask them why and they told me we should study at home on our own. Well DAH!! I never read the Bible before. I didn’t know what was in it except for what i have seen in Hollywood movies, and History channels. Infact, I thought every book name in the Bible was a Prophet. I know, DAH ME again.!! My family was very patient with me on all this, but figured it was my choice and they weren’t about to question my decission if it made me happy. They just warned me to be careful, becuase the people are brainwashed. I thought, no way…. Well, WAY. They are.. so the more I rebelled and started to ask questions the more I was snubbed in the church. And no matter what i said to the people they went and told on me. I was called in to take my tonque lashing in the Biships office. Couldn’t believe i got mad enough that i told him off before he had a chance to get to me. I had horrible feelings about the church and i had to leave. And all i got was, “think about this and we will pray for you..” OH BrOTHER!! No thanks. I know how I feel, and I am tired of not being able to think for myself and say what i think. So I was out of there.

BUT then, you would think i would have learned from them. BUT NO. I wanted to keep searching to find what i was missing. So i hooked up to a Sermon of Ron’s. Phone hook-up back then.. Sounded pretty good at first. He preached just Bilbe ( I thought..) then when I went to my first Feast. OH everyone was so nice (not Ron and laura as much though, they gave me a creepy feeling) But i made some new friends, plus my Aunt was in there. So i once again got baptized to belong to a church. Then he got more and more strange in his teachings, haughty, prideful, etc. Then all of a sudden he became a prophet, then Ron and Laura became two witnesses. I didn’t even know what witnesses were, but in my heart and mind I felt it was a bunch of crap. Didn’t believe it for a second. I am not even sure some of the other followers did. But they went along with it as I did. Then it really got even nuttier, hate, hate, hate. Ron should be dead by now as many times as he puked over the world and people in it. Then i talked to some of my (so-called) friends in the church because I had alot of doubt about Ron and Laura. I’ll be damn, if i didn’t get told on AGAIN.. After a bit Ron wrote me an e-mail and scolded me and told me he has been hearing things i have been saying about him. He went on and on and told me NOT to respond back to his e-mail… Then i thought, What a chicken. He can dish it out but he can’t take it.. I thought ‘How dare him scold me like a child, and say the things he did”. Who in the heck does he think he is.. Once again i got screwed by a church.. I should have known when I heard Ron give a Sermon one summer just before the end-time, (the first end-time :) …When he preached. ‘How faithful are you? Are you willing to give all you have (money wise) to God’s Church if i tell you to? Just how faithful are you?” Wow. What a nut.. something was wrong with this picture. Then when a so called good friend of mine in the church ask me, “How much Faith do you have in Ron? If God told him you must leave your family would you leave your family/” I mean this chick was serious.. I said “NO WAY!! God would have to come down himself and tell me and I don’t think He is going to do that”. WOW.. they really are brainwashed. I am so thankful i wasn’t in there long.. Glad i spotted a False prophet Ron sooner then the Mormon Prophet..
I look at it this way.. They both offered me a beautiful wrapped pretty box, and once I finally opened it, there were nothing but worms in it.

Sorry to write so much Avalo. But i felt the need to tell you for some reason. I am a believer. I guess I am different than most christians, becuase I don’t believe to have a relationship with the Lord you need to go to a building or listen to False prophets, or any of the ones who make you learn just what they teach. We have to find out for ourselves as you said.. Don’t get me wrong, I like to learn what makes people tick and their own beliefs or non beliefs, but not the same way I have taken for 25 years.. I rather take a view more in the ones who talk in a more intellectual way. Does this make any sense. you know me and words. :)

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

I guess i mean. The ones who don’t preach to you, but who can talk with you and share each others thoughts of any discussion, without shutting each others beliefs out, and take it as it is. A good friendship , whether we agree to disagree. That is how we learn from each other. To many closed one thinking topic minds in this world. Like the people in the mormon religion or rons church.. ECT.. Since i have been there, I never want to go back and not beable to think for myself and speak out again.. it was hell on earth.

I do understand what Chacha is going through now. Hey, it isn’t easy. Honest. But when it is all over, and you start to regain your own thoughts, chacha will look back and know what she was into, and how thankful she will be that she is out.. Have to say this Avalo..:) “Praise the Lord for that”..

  • Steve says:

Ok just so i understand right….counts 1-5…is EACH count a possible 5 years max? making it a total of 25years max? or 5 years for the 5 counts in total? Cuz if its 5 years max for all counts, that makes it look much more serious and much more enjoyable to watch

  • jack635 says:

“RONALD E. WEINLAND did willfully attempt to evade “

I don’t know how the law works in the States, but the word “willfully” is key here. The fact that the amounts increase every year prove that Ron has habitually evaded declaring his full income. Habitual tax evasion is a serious matter. It is probable that he is going to be sentenced to some time. Even if he has a great team of lawyers and a plausible defence, he has been charged with “willfully” evading taxes for five years in a row.

He is going to have to breathe fire on the judge. There is no other defense. He is going to have to breathe fire on the bailiff, and the warden, and the guards. He is going to have to breathe fire on his fellow inmates.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

“Willfulness” from a legal standpoint means that he knew he was doing something wrong and did it anyway. Pure ignorance of the tax code is a defense, but if you do something to hide what you did that shuts off the ignorance defense. If they get a conviction or even if Ron agrees to plea, he will most likely get some jail time given the duration of the offense and the amount.

  • jack635 says:

I agree. And the fact that the amounts increased over the years is indicative that he took a little, did not get caught, so took more and more until the initial $28,391.58 in 2004-2005 became $133,023.91 in 2009.

  • jack635 says:

And I gotta add that cash is easily pocketed, while checks have to be deposited. I am willing to bet the taxes owed are on the checks deposited and not on untraceable cash.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

If I’m reading the sentencing guidelines correctly, 21 to 33 months in prison for Ron plus fines plus restitution if convicted based on taxes evaded of $357000.

  • jack635 says:

21 to 33 months in prison for Ron “

Yup. I was thinking he would probably get two years and do one year. At least six months. Maybe we should set up a pool………….heh heh.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Given the sentencing guidelines, I’d like to see a sentence of 120 weeks: 3 X 40 weeks.

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

That would be hilarious! : D

  • jack635 says:

How about 140 weeks if a time = 40 weeks in the sentencing world. That’s time, times, and half a time.

  • randy terlecki says:

i’m in jack635 i’m going to say 18 months. i would put 10,000 just to get the as#hole out of my life!!!

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

Maybe God will judge him like he did The Abomination of Desolation – lmao!!!

  • randy terlecki says:

my mom said my family only know what i told them, dad ,sister and bothers . and she is right i told them years ago ( thanks to mike) that he was under investigation by the I.R.S did i lie, no laura had dimounds did i lie, no ron had a bmw ship from germany no, his daughter and son was on pay roll no, house worth 380,000 at time no. if i’m wrong tell me!!!!

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Personally, I would laugh if he got 3 and a half years, then spun his jail time to the sheeple as “the Tribulation”!

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

The investigation was a matter of public record put out there by a civil case filed by the false prophet himself and confirmed by the case against his daughter who attempted to stonewall the investigation.

The bit about the diamonds was stated by Ron himself, and Randy — you didn’t mention the gold.

Audra being on the payroll came out as well, and suspected that Jeremy is as well.

Now the bit about the Beemer is new info for me.

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

I can Vouch on Randy’s charactor. He is the most honest person you can meet. but you guys already knew that. Randy is a family person like my uncle was. He just doesn’t like to see people hurt or taken advantage of, especially family..

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

I hope you guys realize, even though Ron may or may not go to jail, he will still have his Elders run the show until he gets out. don’t ya? Why I say “may or may not” is because if he has good
lawyers like I hear (which the church is paying for) i am sure they will settle on something very gentle.
Do you think it will start all over again when he does get out?. But now that he knows the ropes, he will try and do it in a so called “legal” way.. I have a feeling, Mike will be doing his FBI :) thing for while sadly enough to say…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

What drives me crazy about Ron and his ilk is their complete lack of faith in the God they say is all-knowing and all-powerful. With the Most High God on your side, who needs diamond or gold investments? Or rations or a special plan for the Tribulation? If I “knew” that GOD was my friend, I would not need anything other than prayer when necessary. Complete, hypocritical cowardice. Look at all the Christians who were led to slaughter knowing it was their fate if they didn’t renounce Christ. The Romans used to have Christian women raped by trained wild boars…for entertainment at the Coliseum. Yet they knew this was their fate if they proclaimed Christ. Tibet monks are setting themselves on fire (immolation) to make their views known. God is clearly not great enough to Ron for him to seek out investment opportunities and to stock up a war chest in case something goes wrong or to help survive the Tribulation.

What End Time Witness of the Most High God doesn’t trust GOD?!!!

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

That is true Avalo. Now look at this picture you described. Honestly now. Doesn’t it sound like Ron is one of those old time Roman beast? I have never heard of a Christian even thinking of saving gold or diamonds for the end. WEll, i should speak for myself, i don’t.
Especially to give it to False traders on what they preach.. Sure lets give everything we have, diamonds, gold, money, everything to our great prophet. “YOU won’t need it because Laura and I will put it away for God’s people, COG-PKG, when the end-time is here”. And that my friends is what they all think in there. I just don’t understand how that will help anybody. When we are gone we are gone!! Ron says for trade, what are they going to trade for? What good would any material thing be worth. Trade during the 7 years.? What can we get, our Salvation? Sorry but no amount of money buys that..

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Why would God’s Holy people need anything? If God can provide manna and quail for the Israelites in the desert for 40 years, I don;t think Ron needs diamonds. The Bible says NO man can serve two masters. Ron has chosen his.

    The Swiss banking system…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Plus, Ron has completely forgotten Petra, the place of safety Herbert W. Armstrong “guaranteed” us we would all be fleeing to. If Ron is restoring God’s Truth to the scattered churches, then he himself is “changing times and laws”, a mark of the Anti-Christ or a false prophet. The Church is supposed to be hiding in Jordan or Israel RIGHT NOW according to Armstrongism, God’s True end time Apostle. Ahh, but I guess I am forgetting that God’s Word is True, until he changes it then the new version is as true as the old version which is not true.

So God cannot be trusted as he has changed ALL of his prophecies…

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

OK AVALO!! YES!! That is spot on!!! My words exactly..

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

BY the way Avalo. There are a couple comments I wanted to write to you on something you wrote. Trying to find it. Maybe on other blog page. Must look..
I did have some good comments towards what you wrote, but have to find them to refresh my memory. haha

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

Closing out for awhile to read Dawkins. Catch ya later.

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

Avalo, the “spot on” I was regarding to was time : 20:25. now back to my book again..

  • chacha says:

    Avalo,
regarding “Petra”…we have to cling to the “present truth”. So…the truth that is relevant NOW not the truth that was given THEN!

That’s what all this “new truth” business is all about. There is no “Plain Truth” anymore…but assorted flavors. Pick the one you like. I personally do not like the green ones….

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

Hey Chacha, how have you been?

  • chacha says:

    *sigh*

tired. Only listened to 5 minutes of ron and that was enough. The “news” of my flame-out is making the rounds in pkg.

My husband is still confused and sad…but getting better. he is worried that we are not on the same “spiritual path” anymore. I told him I am looking for truth…and rw is not it. Other than that…numb.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

The “spiritual path” Weinland was leading you down goes over a cliff. I think your husband has already fallen over. Hopefully he will figure that out soon.

  • chacha says:

I hope so. he’s a great guy. I miss him

  • Helen Terlecki Wright says:

Oh Chaha. Hang in there honey.. It will take time.. When i left my ears were ringing all the time and i missed my certain friends in there. But since they weren’t aloud to talk to me anymore, i couldn’t believe being “so called” friends they would drop me like a hot potato just because Ron told them to not talk to me anymore. I was sad about that part for awhile, but so thankful i was out. I could be a hypocrite and stay in for the friends or be true to myself and make a clean break. So the clean break was the best thing I ever did. It still stays with ya for awhile, but slowly goes away. I think though i was more mad at myself than anything to fall into such a trap with PKG.. It just got more social for me than anything..

And for your husband. I do pray he will get better soon and see the truth in PKG… Did i get it right, that your husband still believes i Ron’s teaching? I am sorry i don’t really know the whole story so bear with me if I am out of line on some comments.

  • chacha says:

    Helen,

thank you. the problem my husband has now is he doesn’t know what he believes. He is trying to find how to fit what he DOES believe into life without pkg and doesn’t see how that will work. But…that was where I was when i first found this blog…so hopefully, he will see that his life can be rich and full and happy and meaningful without rw.
He is having some good days now…so he is improving.

I am going to spend thanksgiving with him. We are both looking forward to that.

    Peace

    Chacha

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

You have a lot on your plate right now Chacha – I guess it all takes time.

I guess try and take it as easy on yourself as you can, and do something you REALLY enjoy every day!

    Love to you xx

  • Cheryl says:

Well I tried to tell Ron Weinland that what is important to God is our personal relationship with Him, not a set of rules set up by man. He said because I do not accept him as God’s prophet (and one of the two witnesses of Revelation) that I am going to die a horrible death in the tribulation in 2008. We are now almost to 2012 and I am still here, still go to church, still have a personal relationship with God.

My sister used to go to his church in Toledo, OH before he stole all their money and equipment and started his own following. They did not sue over it. They decided to act like true Christians and pray for him and not fight.

  • chacha says:

Got the news today…they want to release my hubbie tomorrow! :)

He is doing much better. We are going to work on getting our life back on track…One day at a time.

He looks so good. So good to see him smile.

We have so much to be thankful for…thank you to all of you who have helped me through this time.

I hope that we all can continue to help others to get away and undo the damage to their lives and relationships!

I will sleep well tonight…even BETTER tomorrow night! ;)

    Peace!

    Chacha

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    Chacha: Ciongratulations!

I would be lost in an emotional wasteland without my sweet little wife…

    …welcome back from the wasteland.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Good news, ChaCha. Hope he continues getting better, one day at a time.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Cheryl, you mentioned Ron’s bruhaha in Toledo back in 2000. You and/or your sister might find this article and this other article of interest. And maybe this one too.

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

Oh Chacha! Congrats!! So happy for you! Great news :)

  • chacha says:

I hope with 5 weeks away from the “profit” Ron it will continue and he will stay away from it for good.

Maybe he will join the blog? :) We’ll see. He is quite private, so he may not like that I shared so much of our situation….but, it was MY “therapy”. ;)

Thanks again for all of your support. It means so much.

    Peace

    Chacha

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    Message to Chacha’s Husband:

Hello sir. My name is Avalokiteshvara. Although I am an atheist, I am not your enemy. Rather, I would encourage you to see me as a friend who welcomes you to our little blog family. You can say anything (legal!) that you want and disagree with whatever you want. But at the very least, please feel free to join us when you feel like it. See us as family, a group of people with whom you can just be yourself, and don’t have to act any particular way to be accepted. We are all Chacha fans here, and any friend/family/husband of Chacha’s is a friend of ours. There is Kirrily and Mike (DDTFA) and Matt, and Red, and Atrocious, and Chacha and Helen/Randy Terlecki, and Ron (A Different Ron) and lots of others. It is a lot like an adult version of Sesame Street. And I’m Oscar the Grouch!! :)

    Bienvenue, mon ami!!
