Will Ron Break His Pitcher?
The last we heard from False Prophet Ronald Weinland, he believes in Christ’s return next May even more strongly than ever as a result with his encounter with Satan on the night of Atonement. But I wonder how strongly he believes that, for real.
Here is a clip from the county website of Ron’s property tax bill on his $381,000-but-now-devalued-to-$357,000 mansion on the golf course.
Notice that according to this, they will accept payments even after January 31 of next year. Further, according to this PDF calendar file on the State of Kentucky website the property tax bills can be paid as late as April 15, after which they will be sent to the county clerk to process for delinquency. Tax bills are sold to third parties beginning July 14. So when would the property go up for auction? Probably not until well after July 14. But with Christ returning only 6 weeks after April 15, there wouldn’t be much time before Ron is killed in the streets of Jerusalem anyway.
So, if Ron really really believes that Christ returns next May, he won’t pay his property tax as it would be totally unnecessary. That $3677.03 could be better spent on more copies of his books to send out. Or maybe on some stock tanks to baptize the millions of people soon knocking on PKG’s door to be baptized.
Personally, I will be surprised if he doesn’t pay it timely as he always does, except last year when his law firm was a couple of days late.
Uh-oh! The pressure’s on, Ronnie! Your faith in Jesus = how much/little you pay.
We can actually see your faith in action, coming up REALLY soon!
(Nice work Mike!!!!).
As Jesus says, foxes have their holes.
He’d better pay to keep his.
Haha, nothing gets by you, Mike.
It’s a shame a home worth 357K could be considered a mansion. Here in California, that would only buy you a serious fixer-upper.
There’s an easy out, however. I’m sure he would cite Matthew 22:21 which, in part, reads “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” Being a prophet, apostle, end-time witness, fill in the next self-proclaimed title here, Mr. Weinland is to follow God’s word. That is, unless, he has already changed the meaning of this passage as well…
God bless.
This brought back memories….. made my blood boil just now hearing it again.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQORofv5ziM&feature=youtube_gdata_player
He will pay his taxes, no doubt. I wonder about his followers…. Gotta ‘run down that hill’
I can understand why that would make your blood boil, Kirrily. It does mine, too.
I’ve been away from the internet for awhile and now I’m back. I am amazed at all that has taken place in the past few weeks. Whew! A lot to read.
My feelings about Ron have not changed – well, maybe they have. Maybe I feel even sicker than I did before about his methods.
Oops! Looks like the Apocalypse isn’t coming next year “in a powerful way, it truly is…”
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-15478358
I reckon it’s kinda spooky that everytime Ron predicts doom, the opposite happens. I reckon I might even invent a new technical analysis tool – ‘The RW’. It’s been pretty successful so far!
Ronnie says the Dow will go down, um, then it goes up.
Ronnie says disasters to hit the West, then it hits Japan, Turkey, Italy, Thailand etc etc (makes NZ disaster look small)
Etc etc etc.
I’m at the movies about to see ‘Warrior’ – glad I am having a son with my tastes – Superman, Kung Fu, V8′s etc!
Never thought I would be able to enjoy a movie during any time of the Tribulation, let alone the latter part of it! lMAO!
Kirrily Xpkg
“I reckon it’s kinda spooky that everytime Ron predicts doom, the opposite happens”
Ronald Weinland is the Opposite Prophet….everything he says….the opposite has happend
No president….we got a president
Seas would turn to blood….oil leak got stopped
1/3 Grass would burn…..oops the grass is actually money
The money didn’t burn either
Pope would get possessed…..nope
Splinter leaders would die…..not one
Hecklers would die a quick death…..nope
Ronald is a coward who ran away with his tail between his legs when a comedian ‘heckled’ him.
That he has a single convert still with him is rather sad, after all this contra-proof.
Here’s hoping that Ronald Weinland comes on this site and tells me I am going to become poor and my wife’s bust will shrink!
Oh and by the way Ronnie W, here is where you are headed…obscurity…
http://global.christianpost.com/news/harold-camping-exclusive-family-radio-founder-retires-doomsday-prophet-no-longer-able-to-work-59222/
RW is a prime example of why the bible warns of false prophets.
martin u forgot
some of are ports blown up!
and the U.S.A. would be on its knees!
I would say you are right Randy in the sense that the ports are not as defendable as a confined area like an airport, or something.
But it is not in any terrorist’s interest to inflame opinion against themselve right now with the Arab Spring activities still on-going. A few dead dock workers is NOT good PR for any enemies of the USA or Canada or Britain, etc, when the terrorist may destroy foreign ships/workers instead of Americans. Ports are filled with many ships/warehouse/workers, and there is no guarantee that Al Qaeda won’t blow up a Saudi oil ship in the process of targeting American interests in that same port.
Not that there should not be vigilance, but the ‘waiting’ game is a strategy that favours American counter-terrorism. To properly attack a port would take a type of logistically planning and support system that even the most sophisticated terrorists would have to train for, and it would be easy for the American covert/black ops types to locate and destroy such a training facility. Allowing the terrorists to set up and organize such a system, and then hit it with some Navy SEALS is a very efficient strategy, and to do that they must allow the terrorist to believe that the ports are so vulnerable that any second rate group could conceivably get in there and wreak havoc. This may of course lead Americans to think that the government isn’t doing anything at all, but that is a small price to pay I suppose for the rumour and opinion mills to actually work for America in this case.
A misinformed terrorist is a kill-able terrorist…
Plus, I know some highly trained US military types, and they are trained properly for combat, as opposed to terrorists who recruit from the common populace and train them in only the basics of military craft.
Emotion is a huge disadvantage in military engagement, and the Marines and SEALS are trained to control or neutralize their feelings in the event of that those emotions might compromise their team or the mission in general. Al Qaeda types on the other hand are trained to use their hate or their ideology to spur them on in the same situation, and this is one of their weaknesses. Desire, vengeance, and.or hate are great motivators to engage in war, but very often lead to major mistakes in the course of action. The American military especially are very skilled at creating the kind of soldier that keeps their gut in check when they need to, and this is another reason why I believe the USA will ultimately be successful at either stemming the tide of or eliminating significant threats to the homeland now that they are bringing back troops from Iraq, and (hopefully) making military decisions that will strengthen infrastructure at home without eliminating constitutional rights of citizens.
So when Ronald Weinland talks about the Fall of America financially and militarily, I think he is full of poop because he clearly underestimates the capabilities of even the average American soldier and the ability of the American people in general to make it through the storm…like the Cardinals in last night’s Game Six of the MLB World Series.
If Ron was a baseball prophet he would have prophesied that the Yankees would going to make it to, and win, the World Series this year, and when it didn’t happen he would say that Derek Jeter is doing some truly awesome things in baseball, and you need Yogi Berra’s spirit to understand how baseball works…
i totally agree ava.
And I agree with you that a successful terrorist attack on the USA would be devastating, especially in this economic period.
But I can’t help thinking that a more successful strategy would be an attack on US interests elsewhere, as the US would have to commit massive amounts of cash on transporting troops and preparing carriers than cleaning up a burnt up building on port crane, etc. With Al Qaeda’s top thinkers all dead and scattered now, I don;t think the secondary and/or tertiary support system is bright enough or has the resources to pull off a USA-buster right about now.
The USA is actually well liked by many people, but politically it works in one’s favour to say that the USA is bad when one wants to take power over a people, in the media. Playing to the conservative segment of the population is always a sure way to get people worked up (once again the emotion factor). If the rest of the world really hated America then they wouldn’t be copying and imitating every damn thing that comes out of Hollywood and the music industry and fashion, etc! Watch the haters. pretty much ALL of them are wearing jeans, Yankees hats, dressing like the Jersey Shore stars, or listening to Jay-Z while they are decrying the “evil” US!
So I personally am not worried about America politically in the global sphere. Economically America must play it safe for the next while, but no one in their right mind could think that America is any less great as a nation of resourceful, adventurous, spirited people, or won’t get back out there in the future and move ahead.
The Bible as well, if one believes anything in it, does not talk of America or any allegory that would fit America prophetically. So it would not seem that yahweh had its total destruction in mind any more than any other country is supposedly going to be destroyed by an End Times scenario. That in itself should be some relief to the devout. One can see strong references to Middle Eastern geography or near Eastern religious history. But North America as a Biblical entity is to be found by constructing it out of British Israelism, which is complete crap. So Ronald Weinland commits yet another obvious FAIL when he references H. Armstrong’s theories on the topic. The US does not need a special punishment any more than any other geo-politcial region of the world Biblically.
Any sin one can commit in Baton Rouge for example is commit-able in Reykjavik too!
It’s time to challenge the false prophet: Tell him to raise Herbert Armstrong from the dead to do a full fledged “Work”, then submit to Herbert Armstrong as his superior and commander.
Raising Herbert Armstrong isn’t the miracle.
The real miracle will be if either of them submits to the other.
The test of wills would be quite a show.
Speaking of “proof”, here’s something — about the Old Testament Christianity approach: It has come out that many of the farmers tried the Seventh Year Land Sabbath. Universally, they went broke, had to borrow money, declared bankruptcy and / or lost their farm. There was no 6th year double blessing.
It doesn’t work.
Let Ron explain that away.
Of course, none of his prophecies work, so it’s kind of symmetric.
Heck, the ultimate challenge for Ron is having anything he says come ACTUALLY true, not “spiritually”.
Of course, Ron should really be explaining exactly why Christ has to return a second time when the Jewish Messiah is only supposed to arrive on the scene ONCE. There is NOTHING in the Bible about a Second Coming and a Crucifixion. The “Suffering Servant” scriptures are NOT unambiguous.
No amount of Biblical “lawyering” an change that fact. It is one of the major reasons Jews reject Jesus as the Messiah, as they MUST obey OT law and heed its prophecies. To believe Christ is the Messiah is to BLASPHEME against Yahweh, one of the reasons the Pharisees condemned Christ. Jesus’ entire ministry was heretical to the very God and Jewish Laws he proclaimed to be upholding!
Thus, to believe the Son is to deny the Father.
Let’s see you ‘spiritualize’ that one Ronnie “in a powerful way”…
Concerning Ronald Weinland… I must remember to invoke my #1 personal law before I get all wrapped up in explanations: Never knowingly argue with a crazy person.
You don’t know how much grief that has saved me.
You can’t know how many times I’ve had to invoke that lately….
True, it is fruitless. But it is a good way of training oneself in rhetoric, logic, and debate when you encounter a smart crazy person who uses pretty much every fallacy in the book to appear “correct”.
Avalokiteshvara, yes, you are correct. And by participating in these sorts of forums (and being moderator for a few), is how I learned my #1 personal law.
Whetstones do sharpen iron, although most crazy people are about as dumb as a rock — it’s the smart ones that are trouble. The stupid ones keep repeating the same tired arguments with variations like a broken record. Once you collect the standard responses from the stupid narcissists, sociopaths, psychopaths and nut jobs and calculate their counters, you can move on or pull out the answers and drop them into the conversation according to your choice. Be warned though, some of the scoundrels do come up with innovative ideas which require some effort on your part. Most of the challenges come, though, from the very ideas I dropped on to the Internet a year or two before as plagiarism without attribution. Those are easy because I’ve already figured out the answer to those months before the scoundrels catch on. (It’s too bad I can’t give you the comprehensive methods developed in my book, “Assertive Incompetence: An Introduction to Management Malpractice”. It has all the various methodologies these people use and their counters.)
My opinion is that it isn’t training ground in rhetoric, logic and debate — it’s more about learning how to counter stupid ideas with stuff that’s appealing, and I assure you, that’s quite different: The masses are not really into logic, reason and facts. That is why Ronald Weinland is where he is and why the United States has the President it has. Charisma, promises for a brighter future, hope for change is what it’s all about. And in the end, you get change… that’s about all you have left in your pocket after your fortunes are picked over by those with chrisma, promises for a brighter future and the vision of hope for change.
One of the things I tried to do with DNArefutesBI.com is to give solutions for people like those coming here for help — it isn’t just an expose on Armstrongism: There is a comprehensive section on Restoration — recovering from the damage of cult life. To that end, and after a great deal of research, I came upon “Take Back Your Life”. This book, more than any other gives a comprehensive view of cults and the methods to escape them effectively. If you read the book, you will probably have the eerie feeling I had in reading it, that the authors were talking about the WCG and the splinters in which you find yourself — particularly Ronald Weinland’s particular poison. The authors are very good and I have not found a better resource anywhere. You can check it out in more detail at:
http://dnarefutesbi.com/Restoration.php
Thanks for the link Douglas! Great resource!
martins right that every time the clown predicts something the opposite happens. if the false prophet goes to Vegas in December , if he bets red we will bet black!! lol
How is your mum going Randy? Still a doubtless believer?
yes, very kirrily still brain washed.
Well, well! Looks like Ronald Weinland *gasp!* doesn’t believe that Jesus is returning next May. Looks like Satan was right and Ronald Weinland was wrong!!
Don’t Drink the Flavoraide = Prophetic WIN
Ronald Weinland = Witness/Faith FAIL!!!!
Sorry to hear Randy
Well Ronnie, where is YOUR Total Resolve?
MESSAGE TO RONLD WEINLAND:
Hello Ron. I’m Avalokiteshvara, and I am one of your “mockers”. I said that Christ wouldn’t return next May and that your statements are false. You said that you were absolutely sure that Christ was returning, yet your tax forms say otherwise. You said Mike (DDTFA) and the COG presenters would die a quick death years ago. They didn’t. You said there was not going to be an American president in office in 2009. There was, and will continue to be. You said that if you were proven wrong about any of these things that you would admit you were a false prophet and that ANYTHING else would be INSANITY. Well? By your own admission you are a false prophet and insane, and you PAID your taxes on a property that will be DESTROYED on May 27th next year (and you have TOTAL RESOLVE about it). I am not a mocker per se Ron. I am merely telling the actual truth about you. What does that say about your relationship with “God”?
But if telling the truth is mocking, then consider me “El Mockerino Numero Uno”, because you are lower than the “stuff” that is currently buried in my cat’s litter box.
Funny how they had no hesitation in purchasing things back in 2008 on credit, interest free for 3 years …… Seem to have changed their tune now. Oh yes, the MEMBERS are to have Total Resolve, but not Ronnie and the wench.
Randy
I know it must be so hard to watch your mum be like this. Those in PKG ARE brainwashed. But, we cannot see it. Ironic how the very thing we are pounded to believe about “others” (that they are deceived and cannot see the truth) is true about US! It is like being in alcoholic in the sense that you cannot get help and leave until YOU decide to do it. So…it may take a while for mum to see it.
Just be patient and tell her how much you love her. Telling her how wrong Ron is will only make her resist more. She has to see it on her own. It is a very sad thing to see.
I cannot make my hubby see what I do and I am sure he may be thinking that I am the “deceived” one. Hopefully, he will see more and more of the lies and the “twisting and distorting” that RON does. He is confused right now, which is a good place to start. He battles with “confusion=devil’s influence; therefore, I must fast and pray.” It is self-brainwashing. We are taught very well how to do it. I am spending this saturday looking up resources on coming out of cults /abusive religions. And I may do the laundry and wash my windows and have a bit of seasoned pig flesh (aka sausage to “normal” people) with my breakfast! OINK
Now THAT Ron, is FREEDOM…truly…it really is!
You are right, chacha. You are making remarkable progress. I’m so proud of you. When hubby sees how much happier you are, maybe he will come to understand the bondage he’s under. Maybe.
Oh I hope so. he is in such mental anguish right now it is terrible to see.
I think the progress I am making now is a result of anger at the moment. I have other emotions yet to be processed. I don’t want to push him but I want so much to shake him and say “We’ve been lied to! WE are the ones deceived! Don’t you see?” but…I know that would not be helpful.

One day at a time. Thanks for your support!
*hug*
If Ron sees your comment, he’ll explain your reason for leaving the “truth” as your desire for pork. Rather than admitting that no truth is of a lie.
“Happy” might be a hard emotion to have right now. Anger, yes. Sadness, yes. Kirrily went through a range of emotions after leaving PKG.
Yes Ron…I LOVE pepperoni pizza. I gave up the kingdom of god and my chance to be an “elohim” (wayne) for pork.
oink oink and I LOVE to read “sh*t” like Dante and Homer and Ovid…
Ronald Weinland is a gifted con man who has done the rest of who think a favour by gathering the simple minded and absorbing their cash and free will. A few hundred fewer theists have been separated from the pack and are now safely penned in Ron’s fleecing hut. Why argue and fight with your PKG lovin’ relatives and spouses? They are free to believe Ron and Ron is breaking ZERO laws by starting a tax free business/church and ALLOWING his sheeple to join up and give him money. No one law broken, no freedom denied.
After defending Chacha and Kirrily and making my opinions heard I have realized that it has made zero difference, as any time I have exercised or defended my OWN freedom of speech here it has always been categorized as ‘raving’ or ‘ant-christ’ or a ‘debate’ (“debating” FACTS?). Ronald Weinland is a blessing to “my” people – the atheists/skeptics/agnostics, and the seekers. It is not my problem if people freely join his movement then suffer all sorts of pain because of deeply investing in his beliefs. I hope Ron keeps it up.At least he is no hypocrite, like any and all posters here who praise my views and applaud my freedom of speech ONLY when they approve of it.
Ronald Weinland is doing lots of good for the skeptical community. I praise and applaud him for it, and I hope he retires rich and happy.
And I think it is great that he has given his sheeple a way out by suggesting Christ may not return. He can persuade them to stay, but he hasn’t threatened them with violence or litigation. He has given them a choice by the very nature of his sermon, and those who remain are exercising their right to freedom of religion. That is more freedom than the average Christian/denomination that says my people – the atheists- will burn in Hell if they don;t love Yahweh. At least in Ron’s world, I merely burn up instantly in a fiery lake.
Ronald Weinland is a charitable charlatan, and has done NOTHING to me. I hope he prospers.
Besides, aren’t the Jesus people always quoting “love thine enemy”? Jesus was a really wise Jewish carpenter, and maybe he was on to something. Maybe it is high time I showed him some love and compassion, as no one else around here (including myself) has said anything particularly nice about him.
Mike -
I see you have done some deleting of posts on “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, however, you have left my response to Avo’s deleted posts on Nov 4/11 (which is awaiting moderation) -
My post was in response to the posts from Avo which you deleted – now that they are gone – my post has lost it’s context -
This experience has left me wondering about the deception that you are taking an active part in – or should I call it creative editing
Mike, I appreciate your editing efforts (they will never satisfy everyone). When I was moderator for Gavin, there was one poster who finally drove me into quitting. Some of the people who post are just plain nuts and I suspect that Solomon would give up. I find your efforts fair and balanced.
The other thing I appreciate is the opportunity you provide to enable people to find their own way out of a specific cult: That’s hard to do. I wish I knew what to say to encourage people, but even with “Take Back Your Life” by Janja Lalich and Madeleine Tobias, those trapped (as I am) with a family member who refuses to see the truth and clings to obsessive insanity (especially if they have the “Warrior Gene”), it seems like it would take a powerful miracle (as opposed to the standard every day ones) to completely leave the cult life completely. It is those social bonds which are the very hardest to overcome, even though — to the objective observer — the people in the cult are not friends: They are more like dangerous enemies who can turn on you in an instant if you demonstrate you don’t believe the way they do.
Right now, I’m having yet another round with that dangerous cult leader from Australia and his attorneys, attempting to take down my website again. Fortunately, my web host won’t hear of it and has defended me against this psychopath before. It is an illustration of how insidious all the Armstrongists are and how dangerous they can be and how difficult it is for people to leave cults.
Thanks Douglas. I appreciate the good word. Yes, it’s true — no matter what you do in a forum (real or virtual) with a number of people, some are going to be unhappy with it. I don’t believe I was deceptive in my “selective editing”, explaining what I did at the time. If that was deceptive, so be it. But someone will have to explain to me exactly how so.
Is Wade trying to take down the web site you linked? Or another one?
My mother and Step dad are part of this con-artist bullshit, end of days ,give me your paycheck ,and you will be saved joke of a church, if u can even call it a church. This man needs to be bitch slapped. Seriously this douchebag collects hard earned money from people, drives expensive cars, and lives this great life style, while convincing these innocent people who are vunerable to “follow him” and they will be with christ and whatever other bullshit he says to lure them them. I think this man is disgusting for what he is doing, and the whole BS of if you doubt or question then ur not close to GOD and Satan is putting those thoughts in your head, that man himself should LOOK into the mirror and say HELLO SATAN.
I am pretty sure that if you watch the history channel you will see that the world goes thru changes every so many years because we evolve. For those of you who have ever “gasp” watched South park and those who have not Mr. Garrison explains the Theory of Evolution “In the beginning we were all fish.. ” you tube has a great video.
Anyway All religions tell THEIR version of the “stories”. And who is really right? do we really know? I dont go to church because when I was younger I was part of this “church” and after seeing on the news the Catholics raping boys, really? NO THANKS. Its hard for someone like me who would like to learn more about where we come from, what happens to us after we pass, to even begin to want to even go to church. And when you see your parents going thru brainwashing to the extreme it is sad, because they believed in something so much and now my step dad doesnt know what to do with himself, and has basically stopped living because he doesnt know what to do or believe. And this Ron dude what is he going to say when May 19th 2012 comes and goes and we are all STILL HERE?? OH it happened Spiritually!! REALLY?? and these people who he told dont worry about your debt, and bills and having babies, when will these people who will end up missing out on life, in debt, with nothing to their name wake up and smell the bullshit. CUZ it stinks.
Chacha Eat yo Pizza with PRIDE and Enjoyment! remember to extend ur pinky finger!
Oh great! Another long “A” name!
I feel for your family members. It is a very hard thing to go through. And it’s may 27TH…your a week early. But that’s ok…nothing will happen then either!
I didn’t listen to much of RW’s sermon yesterday. He said something around the 1 hour mark that pissed me off. Maybe the “poison” is wearing off…I can’t remember what it was. GOOD!
Yeah “Anna…” I’m waking up and smelling it. I’ve begun to scrape it off my shoes!
