What Was in That Peppermint Tea?

The last Feast of Tabernacles before Christ doesn’t return is over.  False Prophet Ronald Weinland and the Silent Witness and Prophet(ess) Laura Weinland are in Hawaii this weekend.  Because of the time zone differences, he won’t be delivering a live sermon this week so Wayne Matthews has a recorded sermon on the PKG website.  But before I discuss that, I want to recap Weinland’s Last Great Day sermon:  my last post was basically a live blog and I’ve seen listened to the sermon again and have a few more details and commentary.

In his Last Great Day sermon, Ron asked his followers if they were ready for a declaration from God.  During the night of Atonement, Ron couldn’t sleep and as in times past thoughts came into his mind.  The first thought: Christ is not returning on May 27, 2012.  The second thought: Ron had not started his job as witness, that he needed to be humbled by this failure and his job would actually start on the day that Christ doesn’t return.  Ron woke Laura up and they had a discussion.  As before when Ron had doubts, I imagine that Laura argued against those thoughts.  Ron said he would continue to believe in certain things even if he was by himself.

Ron asked his members where they would go if they didn’t follow him.  He asked where they would get the “truth” and cited a number of post-Armstrong “truths” that he came up with.  Including truth #46 which he also said came to him in a thought in the middle of the night.  While he has said a lot, and it hasn’t all come to pass such as Europe arising no later than August of this year as prophesied in his 2009 LGD sermon, he still believes everything written in his books.  He went on to say that he still believed in all 57 truths with all his being, and believes even more firmly that Christ will return next Pentecost.  And that these two thoughts were put into his mind by Satan, as Satan also tempted Christ while he was fasting.

Weinland set things up with more wiggle room, talking about the 5 months of torment from Rev 9:5.  According to him, it could progressively build up with the anguish building over 5 months.  This gives him more wiggle room past January, 5 months before Pentecost.  Ron said that some in PKG would not be with him at the next feast, that not all would make it to the promised land.

In Matthews’ sermon today,  Wayne announced that he would be in Orlando on November 26th with Weinland.  This is probably right before the ministerial conference with the evangelists and senior elders Weinland said would happen in December.  When he also may be conducting some radio interviews, which hasn’t happened since the first half of 2009.

Wayne acknowledged (consistent with another report) that the PKG members were shaken by Ron’s LGD sermon.  It was a challenge to the mind.  He stated that if the date had changed, it should make no difference as they were in it for that way of life.  He likened them to sheep, asking them to think it through: “Are we going to follow no matter where the shepherd leads us to?”  Another zinger from Wayne, as he talked about a PKG member converted to spirit being watching a family member go through the second death in the lake of fire after the millennium and the following century.  There should be no sadness for the event, as the family member chose their fate and it would be more merciful than living with a twisted distorted mind.

So.  How do we know that it was Satan who came to Ron in the middle of the night of Atonement, when Ron was weakened by his fast of less than 12 hours?  And not God who came to him the same way to deliver the 46th “truth” into Ron’s mind?  I imagine that Laura has a great deal to do with that “clarification”.  PKG members have been shaken by this trial balloon and are working their way though the emotions of the thought without having to deal with it fully.  They are sheep, and will continue to follow Ron no matter how he plays his cards as his prophesies fail.  They think they are following God, and they are — a god anyway, Ron’s god who is ….. Ron himself.

  • Whisper says:

As the pressure builds, the cracks become more pronounced, and actual damage can take place to the structure.
As the pronounced lies and delusions begin to become enacted lies, the cult begins to fissure and crack, blocks begin to fall from the wall, built construction starts to become ruins…

  • martin says:

That a single person stayed after the LGD sermon is telling. That they were shocked is even more telling, considering his colossal failure up to this point.

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

They will follow this shepard right over the cliff to their doom. They will realise this too late.

    It is absolutely disgusting.

Mike, I hadn’t thought of Laura in that light before, but now that you have brought that aspect up, I believe you are entirely right.

I really feel for the family members of PKG’ers. Oh yes, the goalposts will be moved, again and again. Most will not leave – I doubt Wayne ever will now. Pride. Pride. Pride.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

And someone else who will probably continue to follow: Associate Elder Nathan Urquhart, who gave two of the prayers during the feast.

  • martin says:

Kirrily Xpkg says:”They will follow this shepard right over the cliff to their doom.”

Yes. Unfortunately, going by history, that is in RW’s “church”, this is exactly what will happen.

Falling into the ditch the first time didn’t help, falling into again the second time didn’t help, falling again and again into it..does not wake them up from their slumber.

Ultimately their will be one last ditch…a pit…they will all stumble into it…and even then, I don’t think they will realize what’s happening.

“Many false prophets will come, and deceive many” – this prophecy is being fulfilled day in and day out by the likes of RW and many others.

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

Oh ok, he is still there too. I reckon that would be Sharna’s doing. Nathan is strong, but she is stronger in the delusion.

Well, whatever Nathan and Sharna – ruin your lives. Just remember you chose this.

To Wayne’s kids – when your parents are old and destitute, from giving up well paying jobs and handing over cash to their false idol, and need your help to buy their wheelchairs, I would begin investigating a true hovel of an old people’s home to lock them up in, then forget about them.

You’ve had to put up with their delusions long enough, and I know it has affected your lives terribly. I hope you were not relying on any inheritance.

  • Yes, they are sheep… led by an old goat.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

I am an atheist and yet I can’t help feeling that if god does exist, he has given up on trying to get the sheeple away from Ron. How many rejected lifelines (failed prophecies and “I might be wrong”sermons) can you send to a drowning idiot before you just say “Enough. Clearly they are too stupid to save themselves…”

Looks like only Kirrily and Chacha are actually wise enough to take such a God up on his offer of swimming lessons!

  • martin says:

A religious man is on top of a roof during a great flood. A man comes by in a boat and says “get in, get in!” The religous man replies, ” no I have faith in God, he will grant me a miracle.”

Later the water is up to his waist and another boat comes by and the guy tells him to get in again. He responds that he has faith in god and god will give him a miracle. With the water at about chest high, another boat comes to rescue him, but he turns down the offer again cause “God will grant him a miracle.”

With the water at chin high, a helicopter throws down a ladder and they tell him to get in, mumbling with the water in his mouth, he again turns down the request for help for the faith of God. He arrives at the gates of heaven with broken faith and says to Peter, I thought God would grand me a miracle and I have been let down.” St. Peter chuckles and responds, “I don’t know what you’re complaining about, we sent you three boats and a helicopter.”

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

I really do not know how family members can cope. It is so tragic 🙁

One thing I know FOR SURE – if I was still with Ron, I would be without a husband, and would not be with child. I would be broke and jobless. Probably living with my mum.

And who would I have to blame? MYSELF.

Most members are not going to wake up, I think if any of us had doubt about that, any doubt is now gone.

I feel for Chacha – she has some REALLY tough decisions ahead of her.

  • jack635 says:

I don’t know what you’re complaining about, we sent you three boats and a helicopter.”

Martin that was great. Lots of laughter.

  • chacha says:

3 boats and a helicopter…know where I heard that joke the first time? On Sabbath in WCG… told from the pulpit…by a minister.

Wayne’s sermon this AM…the part about watching your family go to “destruction” and feeling peace and joy…

    heart-warming. Truly.

  • jack635 says:

When I was listening to the pre recorded sermon today, I was rapidly turned off when I found out it was Wayne. More of his standard “think differently” crap. He gives the same sermon every time Ron let’s him in front of the microphone. I skipped ahead about half an hour an he was hillariously saying the same thing “think differently. I then skipped over to almost the enda and he was telling the PKG how they should feel when faced with a loved one, whether husband or wife or son or daughter or grandchild about to face the second death.

Joy! Peace. That is how they should feel while watching a grandchild being thrown into the lake of fire which is the second death.

That sounds like something a monster would say. So, the PKG should ignore any loved one who tells them to stop listening to that idiot(Ron) and stop giving him money.

Ron and his ilk want you to throw your loved ones in the garbage and give money to Ron. Ya know I almost want to call these people a bunch of idiots, but I think of their kids and I come up with much stronger words. Child Protection Services should be allowed to take these children away from their parents.

Ron and Laura are enjoying a vacation in Hawaii on the PKG members money. Oh, and while Ron and Laura are in Hawaii those PKG members had better shun their relatives that are trying to make them think differently.

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

    It’s so disgusting isn’t it.

Poor Ronnie and his wench need a rest after the Feast, paid for with their members money. *vomit*

  • jack635 says:

Yes Kirrily. Where do prophets go for a vacation from all that prophecying. Why Hawaii of course. They surely have been there so many times that their card has been punched for a free visit. Ha! not likely a free trip. They are staying in a four or five star resort.

Most of us common people will make it to an exotic place once in our lifetime, but they go at least once a year. Ah, the life of a self proclaimed Prophet.

  • martin says:

I don’t remember anywhere in the book of Revelations, where they get vacation time.

It says they prophesy 1260 days…..nope….no vacation time mentioned…..unless….UNLESS…..maybe these two are NOT The Two Witnesses???

    Could that be it?

Hmmmm….isn’t there a scripture that says the Two Witnesses are MEN?

IS RONALD WEINLAND MARRIED TO A MAN?????????????????????

I think this presents new problems.

  • jack635 says:

Sorry Martin. They are not the two witnesses mentioned in Revelation. They are the two witnesses of PKG mentioned in the PKG bible, 2008 God’s Final Witness. And they didn’t even get that right. Should it not be 2008 God’s Final Witnesses?

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

Laura is virtually a man, just without the necessary appendage.

She wears the pants, behind the scenes.

I have long thought she is more sick in the head than Ron. She is his strategist, he is the bumbling idiot puppet that she controls.

She is not by any means an innocent IMO.

  • jack635 says:

She is his strategist, he is the bumbling idiot puppet that she controls.

That’s interesting. Plus, I like the word “bumbling” when it is used with the word “idiot”. I actually saw and had a conversation with a “bumbling idiot” eight years ago.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

It is amazing how many exotic vacations a false prophet can go on when they tithe 100% of other people’s income to themselves…

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

I wonder if any PKG Splinter Groups will form after May 2012?

  • jack635 says:

I wonder if any PKG Splinter Groups will form after May 2012?

I’m sure there will be some atheists.

  • C’mon Ronnie boy. Admit that the 2nd coming is not in May. It’s important to me! If you admit it before the end of the year. then I win Dill Weed’s Great End of the End Contest< (http://ronaldweinlandtheprophetwhofailed.blogspot.com/). This is important.

You came sooooo close to admitting it wasn’t going to happen. For my sake Ronnie, just move the date ….

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Now, now Ron (not that one). Don’t go lobbying Ron (that one) on my blog. I’ve got the week after your date in Dill Weed’s contest 😉

  • Steve says:

Kirrily said: “Laura is virtually a man, just without the necessary appendage.”

What makes you so sure she/he doesnt have an “appendage”? ……now THAT would be a revelation i think the members would NOT wanna know about lol

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

    LMAO Steve! Good point!! *shudder*

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Well the Bye-Bull says that the Witnesses are men so either “Laura” is transgendered or has had a custom designed, lifelike “marital aid” made for her, and she straps it on every once in awhile when Ronnie has doubts so she can threaten him “procto-logically” should he stray from the Truth…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Ron: Laura, I think I amy have jumped the gun at the Feast about May 27th, 2012. Maybe we should just tell them now that it won’t happen so we can set up a new lie that will last until 2015.

Laura: Now, now Ron. We don’t want to have another visit from “Mr. Bum Thunder” do we?

    Ron: No sir…

  • martin says:

chacha…if you don’t think it will cause an argument or problems, I’m wondering if you ask your husband if he knew the bible explicitly says that the Two Witnesses are men.

(obviously again, if he’s an argumentative guy, then don’t, but I’m just curious what the reaction of people in PKG, if they even knew the bible states this)

(MKJV) Zec 4:14 And he said, These are the TWO SONS of fresh oil who stand by Jehovah of the whole earth. (bible passage Revelation alludes to).

  • martin says:

The literal translation, says the exact same thing
(YLT) “Zec 4:14 And he saith, `These are the two sons of the oil, who are standing by the Lord of the whole earth.”

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Actually, most translations of Rev 11 do not use the word “men” to describe the 2 witnesses. And whether Zec 4:14 is describing the 2 witnesses is debatable since it’s so symbolic.

I don’t think that religious arguments are going to sway any of Ron’s followers. Since the Bible is such a versatile book, allowing anyone to interpret it anyway they want (and do).

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

What should sway them is the fact that Ronald Weinland is not actually ‘witnessing’ to anyone. This is supposed to be powerful and awesome and have the world’s attention. Teaching a bunch of sheeple in a hotel conference room as well as uploading sermons to an obscure website is not really witnessing.

When ‘talking cats’ on Youtube receive more attention than God’s Final Witness to the world, you know he is falling waaayy short of prophet…

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

PKG members are stirred up. I posted a few comments a year or so ago bagging Ron, never had any responses until yesterday, when TWO people replied!

Just like I thought, they will attack us to try and more firmly believe they are correct in their belief.

The more opposition a PKG member receives right now, the more they will fight and become angry with frustration (the ones who still WANT and CHOOSE to believe that is).

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

    Then bring. it. on.

Where did you post these comments? I want in on the action!

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

I would say, but my identity would be revealed. Plus they must have blocked my ISP from being able to reply to them, so they would block you pretty quickly too.

Funny what the mind can do to keep believing despite all evidence being against their belief.

It’s been such an eye opener!

I Reckon as we get closer and closer to May (and before Ron changes the date again), we have have more PKG apologists commenting angrily here.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Wow! If they blocked you, they would definitely block me.

It would be fascinating to know who each of us are in reality. I imagine:

    1. Kirrily is 5’5′, about 115 pounds, sandy blonde hair, slight tan, green eyes, and likes to wear sandals and sunglasses.

    2. Mike (DDTFA) is about 5’7″, 190 pounds, stocky, receding hairline, glasses, semi-athletic, and wears a lot of dress shirts due to work and professional activities.

    3. Chacha is 5’3″, 120 pounds, curvy, curly brown hair, likes capri pants and is a good dancer.

I can only imagine what you guys think I look like. Maybe I shouldn’t even ask! LOL!

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

Well you were right about the green eyes! I’m pregnant so I don’t know what I weigh (too scared to look!).

I’m 175cm, dark long hair, pale (but usually brown in summer). I also wear prescription glasses and sunnies.

I also never wear sandals, but I am right now as comfy for my swollen feet!

I too wonder what everyone looks like!

  • Manxway says:

Mike, thanks for clarifying the gender, or lack thereof, of the 2 Witnesses in the Bible. This has been a favorite obsession of mine, as you know, since before I was even baptized at 18. I get tired of always being the one to argue this point. Unfortunately it may have been my big mouth that may have started some of this mess, as Mike already knows. If there was any way I could stop it, I would.

  • martin says:

In Revelation the original Greek is indeed gender neutral, although I have seen some translations use “men” in the passage one way or another.

In Zech 4, a chapter which is alluded to by the Rev. 11 chapter. the original hebrew is not gender neutral in reference to the Two Witnesses…they are to be men.

As far allegory language in Zech 4, the bible uses allegory and symbolic language all the time. People use allegory and symbolic language all the time, why should we fault the bible for doing so?

It refers to Jesus as a Lamb directly and indirectly, in both OT and NT. But nobody is confused that Jesus is a man and not a lamb. So yes, Zech 4, does use symbolic language, but it is explicit that two people who will be the two witnesses are two men.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Weinland has mentioned Zech 4 in various sermons, from his website:
    Zechariah 4

    2008 God’s Final Witness
    (v 2-3 P15) (v 11-14 P16)

    Related sermons;
    “The Seventh Seal – Pt 3” (The Prophesied End-Time) v 1-14
    “An End-Time Witness” (December 17, 2005) v 2-3, 11-14
    “By God’s Great Power” (January 27, 2007) v 6-14
    “Ordinations & Baptism – Pt 1” (January 2, 2010) v 1-14

I don’t plan to go listen to them though. It’s all different interpretations of the same symbolic nonsense. No sense going down the rabbit hole of trying to figure it out.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Well, even if the Two Witnesses are supposed to be men or not, they ARE supposed to be “witnessing”. Staying silent is NOT witnessing, and they can;t explain witnessing in this sense as ‘watching’ another Witness “witness”!

Guaranteed Laura is supposed to be doing something other than hanging around not saying anything.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Ron hasn’t been doing very much prophelying lately either.

  • martin says:

“Well, even if the Two Witnesses are supposed to be men or not, they ARE supposed to be “witnessing”. Staying silent is NOT witnessing, and they can;t explain witnessing in this sense as ‘watching’ another Witness “witness”!”

Ronald, pardon me for saying so, is an imbecile. He has no understanding of the legal requirements that the OT and NT require, or realize that there are any. Witnessing to another’s witness is absurd. Go into a court room and try to pawn that ridiculous logic off. Or try volunteering to be a “silent” witness in a court of law. You’d be laughed out the building.

Men WITHOUT the Holy Spirit can figure this out, but poor Ron, can not.

Yes, there is symbolic language in Zech 4, I am not addressing the symbolic stuff, but the clear and plain assertion, from the bible (if you believe the two witnesses are human beings) that the Two will be males.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

The translation that Weinland uses does not say “men” in Zech 4.

  • martin says:

    Of course not!

If he had bothered to look, he would have seen that most translations do not explicitly use “men” or “sons” but it is there in the hewbrew, and he would have realized his colossal muck up in appointing his wife as the second witness.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

Weinland will give Strongs Concordance a workout if and only if it suits his purpose.

  • martin says:

Yes, of course he does. He’s done in the past, he still does it, and will continue to do so. He’s wrestling with the scriptures to his own destruction. The tragedy is that he’s going to bring a lot of other people down with him.

It’s not about whether he will deal with the scriptures honestly, but whether the sheep who, if they are really interested in the truth, will do as the Bereans did, and find out for themselves whether he is the genuine article or not.

When I heard him of him and his claim, I did not believe him because “he said so”. I went and looked at what the scriptures said…(he failed on the “sexes” test), and of course his fruits were bad or zero depending on how you looked at it.

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

    Most members of:-

SDA’s do ‘as the bereans did’.
Pentecostals do ‘as the bereans did’.
Anglicans do ‘as the bereans did’.
Jehovas Witnesses do ‘as the bereans did’.
PKG’ers do ‘as the bereans did’.
    etc etc etc.

The problem is the bereans were idiots. The bible CAN NOT be understood by anyone (except in their own mind).

I had NEVER ‘did as the bereans did’ MORE, than when I was in Armstrongism – and most around me had a fervor for the Word that I had never seen before.

With all due respect Martin, most of us DID as the Bereans did, and we felt it was the truth. Others don’t.

I know now that I was wrong. Just as I was about the SDA’s and Jehovas Witnesses and the Pentecostals.

But what makes me KNOW I’m wrong? Well, that would be a mix of scripture (which I no longer count as trustworthy), and what I believed through experience.

I honestly get sooooooooo tired of people thinking we got caught up with Ronnie because we didn’t do ‘as the bereans did’.

For Christ sake, every friggin Christian demonination out there thinks that THEY are the ones who interpret the Bible correctly.

I say ‘PROVE your version is correct’.

But how can they prove it against a book called the Bible out of which THOUSANDS of belief systems have been born?

Mmmmmm, and apparently Satan is the author of confusion! lMAO! In that case, Satan probably wrote that stupid book! Christianity is the most confused and dis united belief system on the planet.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

If Satan is the author of confusion, then the true religion is atheism. ZERO confusion here!

No book, no tithing, no confusion, no fear, no Sabbath, no Exodus 21:7, no Sunday services, no building, no Satan, no Yahweh, no hymnal, no Apocalypse, no hating gay people, no fear of black people, no praying, no repenting, no KKK, no LRA, no Crusades, no prohibition against lobster/pork, no sacrifices…

    No. confusion.

  • Mike (DDTFA) says:

If everyone did as the Bereans, there would be no organized religions, but millions of them. Because everyone who read them on their own would come up with a different interpretation.

  • chacha says:

YOU ARE a prophet! All the ways you described me was PERFECT! I was all of those things at some point in my life!!!

“Chacha is 5’3″, 120 pounds, curvy, curly brown hair, likes capri pants and is a good dancer.”
    [and…the capri pants…maybe when I was 7. lol]
(where should I send my tithes?)

Martin, regarding the witnesses being two men, as already mentioned, the “them” in Revelation is gender neutral and the other…doesn’t really “prove” anything. It is not an argument that will get much traction.

I think the real argument is the complete LACK of “witnessing” (oh wait…it’s spiri-chool!)…that has me. The whole world has NO idea who R & L are or that they even exist! The “book” was supposed to “powerfully reveal” who they are and that they were sent from God.

Not so very powerful, truly…amazing. What a dud.

Can’t wait (but truly, I CAN…don’t get me wrong…as RW would say) for the next round of “incredible” interviews that will be such a POWERFUL witness to prove that he is who he SAYS he is!

Kirrily, I share your frustration. I didn’t just read RW’s book and jump in behind him. I read my bible for HOURS. I studied and thought about it all. That is why it is so hard to get out. It was NOT like everyone thinks. Unless you have been there…I am still trying to figure out why it made sense!
hubby is really having a hard time. poor guy. It is so sad.

I think you are right Avalo. No confusion in atheism. BUT…unlearning and getting rid of the guilt that bombards you constantly as a result of all that you have been taught for so long…that was so much a part of who you thought you were…is SOOOO hard.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Chacha: I REALLY UNDERSTAND how hard this is for you. But I have really good news.

Life’s various sufferings can be reduced by noble actions. You are suffering, but keep in mind that your suffering WILL lead to wisdom, and compassion for those who will go through the same in the future. Your husband is having a hard time. And I am am guessing correctly, you started questioning RW before he did. Think of your suffering as being “for” your husband, so he won’t have to suffer so much if/when he reaches the stage you are at. You can be there for him so he doesn’t have to feel what you are feeling now as much as you have, and thus you have done something BRAVE and NOBLE. It can be something that will make your lives and marriage better, and together you two can return to seeking God or truth or faith or whatever on your own terms, which is what God would want anyways. So when you are scared or feeling down, remember that you, in your confusion/loneliness/fear/sorrow/anger, are forging a path for others.

Now THAT is something God would REALLY be proud of…

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

And in regards to Satan, etc, I am NOT here to try and deceive you and get you to go against God, as people like Mal and Mark often accuse me of.

That was the biggest fear for me when I began trying to leave the WWCG. The Bible made ZERO sense to me, YET what if this was some trick and that the Bible does make sense if you look at it right and God was going to stop protecting me from cancer, and not give me my dream job, and if I was in a car accident he would feel sorry for me and say “I told you so”, etc. What if, what if, what if…all day long. I am assuming that is the same situation for you, and it is a really sh*tty feeling indeed.

Don’t forget that me encouraging you to leave Ron is NOT me trying to trick you. I don’t believe Satan exists and if he did I would NOT try and get you to believe in an evil entity! If that were the case I would try and get you to become a Justin Bieber fan!

(And let me once again apologize on behalf of my country Canada for giving the world Celine Dion and Justin Bieber. I hope Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, RUSH, Neil Young, Jane Siberry, k.d.Lang and Oscar Peterson make up for it!!)

  • J says:

    ^And William Shatner. 😀

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

And William Shatner, Mike Meyers, Jim Carrey, Martin Short, Dan Akroyd, Howie Mandel, , Keanu Reeves, Pamela Anderson, David Cronenberg, Sandra Oh (who I once dated, very nice), Brendan Fraser, Samuel Goldwyn (MGM Movie Studios), Peter Jennings (ABC News), Beat Poet Jack Kerouac (mother was French-Canadian, dual citizen), Michael Ondaatje (“English Patient” author),
Mary Pickford (“America’s” Sweetheart), Leslie Nielson (Naked Gun), Alex Trebek (Jeopardy), Michael J. Fox, Fay Wray (King Kong), Marshall McLuhan, porn star Peter North (VERY big wee-wee), and many others.

  • Damn Avalo, you left out Randy Bachman, Burton Cummings, Jim Kale and the remaining on/off members of the Guess Who – one of my all time favorite bands.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

I didn’t think anyone would know them as they are not as famous as the other ones.

I could also mention Corey Hart, Bryan Adams, SAGA, Triumph, BTO, Robbie Robertson, Garth Hudson, Nickelback, Loverboy, Alfie Zappacosta, Gino Vanelli, Norm McDonald, Tom Green, Wayne Gretzky, Steve Nash, Paul Schaffer (Letterman Band leader), Rich Little, Monty Hall, Eugene Levy, Yosuf karsh, Robert Bateman, John Candy, Mario Lemieux, William Gibson (“founder” of literary cyberpunk movement), Jospeh Armand-Bombardier (inventor of the snowmobile), Jack Warner (co-founder of Warner Bros.), Carrie-Anne Moss (“Trinity” in the Matrix movies)…

    …and still many others…

  • Whisper01 says:

“He stated that if the date had changed, it should make no difference as they were in it for that way of life.”

Aint that the truth, a way of life indeed! Baaaaaaa… Off to the fleecing and eventual slaughter we go.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

“If the date changed it should make no difference.” – Amazing.

The Bible says it DOES make a difference, as a prophecy “changing” is a sign of a false prophet. Come out of the “A”-theist closet Ronald Weinland, you KNOW you don’t actually believe this stuff deep down if you can second guess yourself as a prophet/Witness. At least I am honest about my A-theism, because I ACTUALLY am an atheist.

Don;t be afraid to come out and admit you are “A”!!

  • JB says:

Avalo I agree, RW can’t possibly believe all the nonesense he puts out. God puts thoughts in my head, no Satan puts thoughts in my head, I am a prophet, a witness, etc ,etc, etc, This will happen exactly as I say, oh no it is spirtitual, things may change, yes Christ will return May 2012, but oh no, maybe not, just follow me because I need to feel important and I need your money for all my vacations!!! I have thoughts in my head too, RW you are FALSE FALSE FALSE and God is not directing you. Yet my husband believes absolutely everything that comes out of his mouth.

  • Whisper01 says:

I can well believe Ron can believe in this “gag-vomit” he spews. I’ve seen it happen with leader of large companies who get delusional when times are so good that it seems that everything they touch turns to gold. But when the economic meter flips over those same people see only decay and rot where they touch… but it’s to late. They made up thier mind about themselves when the “Good times Rolled” and simply can not come down from the “Ego” branch of the “Id” tree they climbed. They don’t wanna. They like seeing themselves as miracle men from whom all blessings and curses flow. They don’t want to see that they are just men who “happened” to have everything turn to gold around them because the times were good and money was flowing everywhere – and that it was NOT them but the economy that made everything turn to Gold. It’s a lie they tell themselves and when the proof shows up that it was NOT them, they turn away, cast huge sums of money into dark financial pits just to prove to themselves and everyone watching that it indeed IS them, they are the mircacle men, they are invincable!

It’s very very hard to get over yourself after you’ve made a final decision. It’s ego breaking. Some men are not up to it. This is why those same ego stricken men commit suicide when all is lost. It’s a sad tale to watch un-fold. Ron is not on that level, but he is in the playing field. He wants so bad to be “The Man”. He’s never going to be any kind of man, spinless creatures may not apply for the job. At the same time he know, just liike the money maganets know, it’s always there staring at them. In the end they loathe the mirror, for when they look into it they see only the eyes of a stranger looking back. Sad indeed… Rons future.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Ron is going to retire to Switzerland with hios fat bank account, because his sheeple will swallow it all. He even told them about his swiss bank account a few years ago, and they did say a word. Back then he had $300,000 in it. He probably has twice that amount now, and even more when he sells his house to go to “Jerusalem” to spiritually “die” and be “resurrected”….meaning he will die to his ego and be reborn as an apostle, admit he was ‘slightly’ wrong and then praise God at the powerful and awesome transformation he has undergone.

    Jerusalem = St. Moritz
    be killed = be humbled
breath fire = say angry words
the whole world will watch it = the whole world may be able to read about it on his website of God leads them to understand this in a powerful way.
resurreection = he will begin preaching again with new truths and new ideas, which will be “an awesome thing, it truly will be”.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Oops! I mean “they didn’t say a word” about his Swiss bank account…

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

Ah yes, in it for the way of life.

The same guilt trips he lay on the members (incl me) after the failure of April 17, 2008 (or April 18, 2008 for me living in Oz).

Before April, we were told to LOOK and prepare. After the failure we were TOLD OFF for ‘looking’ and expecting. Yes, it wasn’t about the signs, but the way of life.

I remember feeling guilty (‘a murderous and adulterous nation seeks after signs’), felt like I was in PKG perhaps only to save my own skin. Oh how I repented, and stopped looking for the ‘signs’ of proof that Ron was right. And yeah, where else WAS I going to go?

So we stopped looking for the signs, unless Wayne emailed us new earthquake stats…. Erm, so are we to look for signs again now?!

The current members are being guilt tripped – again. And they are swallowing it, blaming themselves – just like they did in 2008.

It’s so hard to believe now that I fell for any of this. But I did. Unwaveringly at the time, making myself have the ‘Total Resolve’ required. Makes me feel sick now.

  • chacha says:

Thank you to you and all the Canadians that have enriched my life. (Justin Beiber…not so much) 🙂

This really does suck. It sucks the life out of me. The point you made about “suffering” for the ones who come after is the exact argument that PKG makes. I can just run around in circles on this.
Nonsense like: Is my husband having a hard time because I am being “tested” because I am “straying from the truth”? or is he just being tested to see if he will continue?

It makes me nuts that I CAN’T just “walk away” and forget I ever believed…or still believe some of this.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Since I actually was thrown out and rejected by everyone, I had the chance to walk away because I was free. Since you can;t walk away in that manner, I guess you must find a way to walk away in your own particular fashion on some level. This is not something I am qualified to to give you advice about, so I won’t. What I can do I guess is just be here for you and encourage you to not give up, whatever it is that you decide is the right course of action.

  • Whisper01 says:

Does everyone see and feel the empathy of humanity radiatiing from Avalo?
If the likes of Mad Ron had 1/100th of that empathy for others he would at least qualify for a “human being”, only barely so.
But alas, the words and actions of the likes of Avalo are lost on Ron “Suck the life from others” Wienland.
    Go figure?

  • chacha says:

Thanks Avalo. I know I have to work it out on my own. It’s a drag. I guess I COULD rat myself out to a member and get the boot…

I guess I want it on MY terms…but I’m not sure what I want exactly. It just helps to vent and I appreciate the shoulders and hearing the stories of others.

    Take care

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Well Chacha, if there is any way I can offer up my own personal suffering in a manner that reduces yours, then my own suffering is made meaningful as well I suppose. We all grow and heal when we finally dare take on the bastards.

We German folks use the word ‘angst’ for this. It is a very deep word in German, yet it is usually translated as merely anxiety or moodiness. ‘Angst is really more like a soul-storm one is lost ion and sees no end to the dark clouds and crashing wavs of pessimism. Angst is an inner storm on a sunny day, the long dark sleepless night that fails to soothe the troubled spirit. Angst is seeing beauty and wanting to vomit. So you may be feeling ‘angst’ as much as ‘anxiety’. And that is TOTALLY understandable. We Germans KNOW this feeling very intimately and have expressed it in both positive and negative ways throughout our national history.

But let me tell you truly that there is an end to it. Angst, as Homer Simpson might say, is both the cause of and solution to our problems. Angst is painful, but it can also be a difficult ‘friend’ calling for us to change and grow, as this current state is no longer tenable. And you don;t need courage or strength to deal with it. You don’t have to accept this pain, BUT if you acknowledge that it is real and it is significant, you will be able to embrace it in a manner that de-fangs it and makes it more manageable.

AND also don;t forget that if at any time the pain or suffering gets too much to handle, there is professional help available. An y number of crisis hotlines can guide you to the right help, even if they are not the right kind of hotline. For example, you don;t have to be suicidal to call a suicide hotline, and ask them to direct you to an anxiety/depression hotline. They are there to help, and if you feel stupid or dumb or weak for needing that kind of line, DON’T BELIEVE IT. Humans are NOT machines, and only the media would perpetuate a sickening stereotype such as that.

Your angst is neither permanent nor undefeatable. And with the right approach and/or help you will be free of WCG theology and Ronald Weinland …joyously and PERMANENTLY.

I think you are absolutely right. Somehow, it seems we who live in the christianized culture, are led to believe that anything an atheist does should be viewed with suspicion. Hell, on the Avalo v. Mark thread, I was chastised by Mal merely because I said Avalo had taught me things. And Mal’s condemnation was based solely on the fact that Avalo is an avowed atheist.

What a bunch of crap. It is the person who should be judged, and not their stated theistic beliefs.

I know in my heady Christian days, I held similar beliefs. Not as much as Mal has expressed, but close enough for me to be embarrassed by it now. I remember a girl I dated for some time broke up with me. I was completely heart-broken , and I tried to convince her to come back to me. I thought here spiritual life was in jeopardy.

Her parents, one who was an alcoholic and the other was gambler, were people I considered to be godless. In my emotionally broken state, they talked to me, and gave me words of wisdom that both baffled and enlightened me. That was a beginning of a *real* revelation – that my judgment of people based on their beliefs was just stupid. I can, and do, learn from people of all walks and backgrounds – and faith has nothing to do with it. The same goes for compassion, empathy and decency.

We are not saved by an arbitrary belief in an unproven tale of a man being raised from the dead; we are saved in and through our help and love for one another. And Avalo has shown those qualities quite well.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Wow. It’s a love-fest around here for me today. Thank you all very much.

Many atheists SHOULD be viewed with suspicion…if their atheism, like many people’s Christianity, is unprincipled. I would be a totally crap atheist if I demanded from Christians what I don’t demand of myself. I really really hate Christianity. But so many noble humans have been Christians, and so many noble Christians have worked for the betterment of humanity, that I must fight the battle against Christianity with the knowledge that I may ultimately fight in defence of Christianity in the face of a greater evil.

And my beliefs are NOT worth the price of a human soul, if that soul (like Chacha) needs my help rather than my condemnation…

  • chacha says:

Group hug for you, eh Avalo? 😉

“angst” you describe above is the perfect definition of what we are going though. I believe it will go…but it is a “soul-storm” as you said.

I think tomorrow…I will be walking near some quiet water…not listening to whatever it is the “profit” has to say.

I just don’t think I care right now to hear his voice.

  • Avalokiteshvara says:

Wel done Chacha…the poison is wearing off…

  • Kirrily Xpkg says:

Oh Chacha – so much going on in the mind for you and hubbie right now. I hope you have a good day xxx

  • chacha says:

This is sooo hard. Yeah…I think the poison is wearing off. Very hard times ahead…although I know it will be better. I like what you said about “belief”. really. What do I KNOW? THAT is what I will hold on to.

    Thanks Kirrily and Avalo.

    Have a great day!

My my I sure missed some interesting stuff! So despite being a prophet, he is once more unable to get a date right. Was he not humbled already by the failure of the predictions in his book? That should have been plenty of sackcloth already, I would say. And now he is going to simply move the date, as it is getting uncomfortably close to D-day. He is doing it in his characteristically weak and transparent way: by feeding into his followers irrational fear of not having a direct line to God, by introducing the idea in easy-to-manage bites, and by claiming that it is all part of God’s plan to humble them.

He isn’t even a very good liar!

This is really adding insult to injury.

  • chacha says:

He is getting more and more desperate. It is all unravelling. He says stuff and forgets he says it…then says “what I really said…” or “it was all spiri-chool!” We just can’t see because we allowed satan to get in and mess with our minds!

Yeah. OK. He should put more sackcloth over his head…tie it real tight….
    He’s not worth my anger.

  • Annastaciabeaverhousing says:

Does this DONKEY not think people write stuff down while he preaches his BULL SHIT?? If someone was telling me some important things, I know I would write them down so I could go back and re-read and not forget. HELLO if your gonna have diarrhea of the mouth you should bring extra paper to wipe up your mess. And COME one people wake up and re-read your notes the man is back pedaling. HE is a FAKE, a FRAUD and taking your money and laughing. Hate that my parents have followed this DB. HE angers me to no end.
