False Prophet Ronald Weinland

For just over 3 years now, I’ve been blogging relentlessly about False Prophet Ronald Weinland, writing at least one post every week analyzing Ronnie’s latest blather with additional posts on other aspects.  Ron often chastises me for that — “Get a life!!!!”

The fact is that I do have a life.  My life has various aspects: family, professional, social, and just things I have a personal passion for.  This blog fits into the last category, and I think there has been personal development from this and associated activities.  But if you reread the list, it is last.  And the first on the list is family.  Right now I have a personal family situation that requires my attention and something has to give.  And that thing is this blog.

I’m not shutting down the blog, I’m just going to defer my posting.  I hope to stabilize the situation and resume blogging soon, perhaps in a few days.

When it comes to family priorities, it’s PKG members who put their devotion to their false prophet and false apostle ahead of their families.  This is recounted to me in personal emails and comments here on this blog.  To all the PKG members who read this blog, I say “Get a Life!!!  Figure out what’s important, and take care of it.  When May 28 of next year rolls around and you realize that you’ve wasted your time following a false prophet, I hope that you haven’t personally lost what’s really important.”

False Prophet Ron Weinland spoke yesterday from among the Kiwis and sheep (both kinds) in Rotorua, New Zealand.   This sermon gave the reason for the special Passover fast.

Ron spent time in Revelation 8, which reads:

Rev 8:1  And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
Rev 8:2  And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
Rev 8:3  And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
Rev 8:4  And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.
Rev 8:5  And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
Rev 8:6  And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
Rev 8:7  The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

It seems that PKG is fulfilling this prophesy, verses 3 & 4, with the fasts in January of 2009, which intensified their prayers over the past two years book-ended with the fast on the second and the Passover fast.  And the first trumpet is a progressive event.  It sounded once, but is being fulfilled multiple times.

Ron spent a good deal of the sermon reading from his book 2008 — God’s Final Witness starting at page 101.  In particular the part about the First Phase of the Fifth Thunder, which was of Ron’s own choosing but which really is God’s will.

According to Ron’s fantasy, this Thunder began back in 2005 when Terry Ratzmann opened fire with a 9 mm handgun inside a hotel conference room in Milwaukee, killing 7 (including the minister) and wounding 4 fellow members of his Living Church of God congregation before turning the weapon on himself.  This was followed later in the year by the deaths of two other ministers of the Church of Rod from staph infections. One of them, I think John Ogwyn, performed the marriage ceremony for the two witnesses and later ordained Ron.  And one of them snubbed Ron back in 1997 at a feast site in Florida.  So his death was a two-fer for Ron.

The Passover is to intensify the prayers of PKG members as they ask for the fulfillment of first phase of the fifth thunder, which is to start with the deaths of five specific ex-WCG ministers.  If I were one of these five CoG leaders, I’d be watching my back.  While I wouldn’t be concerned about PKG members who have a WCG background, he has attracted some nuts with his Google ad campaign.  Such as Fred Roberts who has threatened physical harm to yours truly.  Nor would it necessarily be a PKG member, might even be someone who applied to be baptized and was rejected.

Far-fetched you say?  Consider the case of Denis Michael Rohan.  Herbert Armstrong’s prophecies involved the Jews rebuilding the temple for the third time.  Unfortunately for Armstrong’s prophesy a mosque occupies the site (the Temple Mount),  so Rohan tried to help things along by setting fire to the mosque back in 1969.  Armstrong disclaimed any responsibility, but as far as I’m concerned he bears some culpability for this nut’s actions for putting his nutty theology out there.  As would Weinland if anyone listening to him decides to help out the first phase of the fifth thunder.  While I consider these five ministers to be truly evil people to various degrees and wouldn’t mourn their passing for a millisecond, their demise under these circumstances would be even worse.

We are now through the second week of the 40 weeks of judgment on the United States and the other scattered nations of Israel.  How are we doing so far?  Humble yet?

False Prophet Ronald Weinland spoke yesterday from Wayne Matthews’ home city of Melbourne, Australia.   Deputy Sheriff Wayne was, of course, on hand to give the closing prayer while Zoran Illitch gave the opening.  Ron mentioned a YouTube video of which he approved.  He didn’t describe precisely which one, but it might be this one put up by “Jonah” who has previously put up and later pulled down fan videos of Weinland. As an aside, he stated obliquely that the government still finds fault even when you pay your taxes.  So.  Ron, did you?  Really?

PKG members are reminded to be sure to listen to next week’s sermon before the special passover next week Monday during which they are to fast (aside from the bread and wine).

Ron reviewed last week’s review of prior sermons.  Such as his December 13, 2008 in which he foretold many surprises.  Only one surprise has come about which is that there haven’t been any surprises.  And his sermon given the last weekend of January 2009 during the two-day fast during which members were instructed to pray for death and destruction to bring more to repentance.  God responded by doing nothing because by now we would have become accustomed to the worst time that the world has ever known.  Ron went on to review his ordination of Laura as prophetess in December of 2008 after which he stated that Laura would be the only woman to be ordained but then yet later went on to ordain dozens more women.  Ron got mixed up on another point, stating that he thought Laura had the job of witness in February of 2008 which was the first time PKG members were sealed into the 144,000 but which was prior to April when the Two Witnesses began their jobs the first time and issued the first death curse on mockers.

It seems that this blog is doing the Church of God PKG a service by mocking it for its leader’s failed prophecy, allowing PKG to grow in humility.  My view is that PKG members deserve to be mocked and pitied for their mindless devotion to a well-proven false prophet.  Also, I note that I haven’t seen any evidence of humility from the prideful PKG members who have posted here.

PKG members were not ready 2 years ago, but are more readied today.  PKG members have learned to not be offended when God changes things, such as when the Great Tribulation is not great.  Therefore, PKG members will not be offended when Christ doesn’t return next year.  They won’t be offended when Ron blames them for Christ’s non-return because they didn’t pray hard enough.

The 40 weeks of judgment on the United States and the other scattered nations of Israel began a week ago today.  Let’s review the affects of the trumpets and thunders over the last week on these nations:

• First Trumpet: No big vegetation die-off this last week.  The economy continues to improve slowly.
• Second Trumpet: No “nukular” explosions in US port cities or elsewhere.  Ron indicated that next week he’ll be telling us what the Second Trumpet really will be.
• First Thunder, War:  The conflict in Libya approaches a stalemate as non-Israelite nations takeover.  No war activity on the soil of any of the scattered nations of Israel.
• Second Thunder, Earthquakes:  While there was another earthquake scare in Japan, nothing of note in the US or other scattered nations of Israel.
• Third Thunder, Weather:  This one hit me personally as a hail storm came through last week damaging the siding on my house.  The insurance adjuster is coming next week to inspect the damage and approve a claim.  Any other weather events of particular note?
• Fourth Thunder, Economy:  Continues to muddle along and hasn’t collapsed.  Wait, isn’t this the new First Trumpet?
• Fifth Thunder, Death:  The five CoG ministers are still alive.  Charlie Sheen’s career continued its slow death with poor attendance at his road show in Chicago.
• Sixth Thunder, Ron’s Fame as Prophet:  No mainstream news articles about Ron.  Dill and I made our usual blog posts.
• Seventh Thunder, Growing Revelation of Ron’s God:   ???

If there are any significant Trumpets or Thunders which occurred last week on the scattered nations of Israel, please point them out so I can correct this post.  Ron is already delaying the Thunders and Trumpets, stating they may not happen until the end of this Forty-Week Period of Judgment.  Ron’s Last Great Day sermon will point out that there are 80 days remaining in the forty-week period: 40 days for judgment on the United States followed by 40 days for judgment on the other scattered nations of Israel.  Or maybe not, Ron has plenty of time to come up with something else now that I’ve given this spoiler.

Ronald Weinland spoke this weekend from the Australian Capital Territory. Less than two weeks ago, his published itinerary showed him in Los Angeles this coming weekend, probably on his way “down under” for the following weekend.  Could Ron have changed his itinerary because the IRS is closing in?  We’ll have to wait and see.

Despite the fact that “severe storms of destruction” are “coming down quickly upon us” beginning “harshly upon the United States, first and foremost”, planning is under way for a full 8 days of organized feast observance this fall. Reading between the lines of Weinland’s last post, the implication is that the first 5 trumpets will blow over the next 40 weeks ending January 7th and the 6th trumpet will take care of the final 20 weeks before Christ doesn’t return. Maybe they’ll be squeezed into the 80 days following the Last Great Day on October 20. If the second trumpet blows before then, PKG’s feast site in the port city Los Angeles might be nuked.

And here is the topic of Ron’s Last Great Day sermon: that there are two 40-day periods of judgment between the Last Great Day and the last half-a-time.  Oops, guess I spoiled that one for you, Ron.  No matter, you have several more months to come up with your LGD sermon.  Maybe a few new truths?  Let’s see, you have 57 now — how many “truths” would you have to invent to make a perfect number?

Ron went back through some of his awesome old sermons beginning on December 13, 2008 which was given from Jerusalem the day before the beginning of the 1260 days of Great Tribulation. He went on to review the sermon of December 20, 2008 but did not review the part when he reissued the death curse against me and all the other mockers. Instead he mentioned his sliding of the statement on the last page of his book about the US no longer existing as an independent nation by the summer of 2009. Then he continued on to the buildup in January 2009 for the 2-day fast at the end of the month, taking an aside to reveal that he watches Faux News and has decided to be a birther as it suits his prophecies that no new president would take office in January, 2009. The prophecy which at some point he stated wasn’t a prophecy. He also made much of the lack of rebuilding of the World Trade Center after 9/11, that it wouldn’t happen before Christ returns.

Ron reviewed part of the sermon given on January 31, 2009 during the 2-day fast.  He read the following statement from that sermon:

So … what is the purpose of our prayers, petitions and fasting before God? It is in like manner that Elijah prayed that God would bring many more to receive a special calling from him. That many more be brought to repentance and acceptance of the truth through the timing, repetition, and power from unleashing far mightier thunders.  And as well the trumpets that are before us.  And all these now ready to be delivered in great awe and might.

He did not read this other statement from the sermon.

Pray about this, that there be more conflict. Pray that God stir things up with the first thunder, a terror of war.  Because only when people fear they can come to repentance they won’t fear otherwise .  They’ve been so spaced out, it’s easy to slough them off with human reasoning  “Oh well it’s just time and chance”   You want to pray that things be such that people quick saying that.  That people be brought to such realization, that they realize that no, this isn’t normal, and these things haven’t happened like this before.  Not this way.  …Are you comfortable about praying for massive earthquakes? You need to think about this because you’re asking for the death of others. Because that’s what happens with a massive earthquake.  That’s what happens with a massive tsunami.  Or when a volcano goes off.  People die.

Perhaps one of Weinland’s apologists can explain how it was that PKG prayed for the deaths of some to terrorize the rest of us into repentance by an increase in the thunders.  And that God responded by holding back the thunders for two years to show us mercy and no one repented.  How it is that Ron is God’s most formidable prophet, yet God has to tell PKG what’s going on sabbath by sabbath?  Hey, just read the newspaper.  Or watch cable news networks.  That way you’ll know what’s going on at the same time that God reveals it to Ron.

PKG members were warned not to tell others what they were praying about.  That people would think that they are evil.  Ya think???  Along those lines, I was listening to the end of the Big Sandy CoG’s services for reasons unrelated to my blogging about Weinland which I won’t discuss.  The individual giving the closing prayer made a statement that struck me:

…asking Father for your blessing upon all those that labor and struggle …for the poor people over in Japan, Father, that struggle to rebuild their lives.  We ask, Father, that you use this occasion over there, that some might come to know you and the truth of your word

The Big Sandy CoG is one of the mildest splinters of Armstrongism (one which certain of my family belong to).  Even so, it crossed the line as far as I’m concerned. Not quite up to Spanky Meredith’s statements about prior disasters being God’s spanking us. Nowhere near what Ron is calling for. But still over the line.

Ron revealed more about the upcoming Passover in two weeks, the most special Passover in 6000 years and the last organized observance before Christ returns.  On Sunday, April 17th, PKG members are to have a full meal just before sundown right before passover.  Then from sundown to sundown on Passover, the only food and drink they are to have is the bread and wine of the Passover service.  The sermon that weekend is to reveal the significance.

This Sabbath (April 2nd) ends a very unique time in all history. It is the end of four cycles of “half-a-time” in the period of “time, times and half-a-time” described in Daniel 12. There are only three more periods of “half-a-time” remaining before Jesus Christ returns as King of kings over all government on earth.

Over the centuries, many have tried to comprehend the prophecies given by God concerning the meaning and fulfillment of “time, times, and half-a-time.” But as God told Daniel, the revelation of those things that were given to him to write were not to be revealed at any period except that of the very end-time, when God would “finish” [Heb. – “bring to an end”] the time given to mankind to rule himself and then establish His Kingdom on earth.

As God has revealed to His Church at this end-time, the period of “time, times and half-a-time” is about God’s end-time judgment upon mankind, in which God will bring an end to man’s self-rule. In the midst of this period of time, God is magnifying Himself and His love toward His creation—toward mankind. However, mankind is not aware of what God has been doing, but will now begin to be made aware—IF they will listen!
