Murky the Waters
False Prophet Ronald Weinland was in Bowling Green, KY this weekend. Local elders Tony Blair and Curtis Fields were allowed to give the prayers. PKGers from several states showed up to help fill up the room. One sad note was that Tina Jamieson lost her battle with health issues and died on Tuesday. This makes the second of his associate elders ordained last winter who have since died. That’s a mortality rate above 4% which is a bit on the high side considering that Ron said he was not ordaining the very old. A mortality table I have puts an annual death rate of 4% at about the age of 80, and Tina was in her 50s.
A family of 4 left PKG the other day, it’s not clear if they are the same 4 people Ron mentioned last week as having left but hoping not. Ron can’t understand why someone would leave when Jesus Christ’s return is so close. Beings in the spirit world are stirred up and causing problem with PKG members. Members are not getting along, and some leave immediately after services to avoid talking to the Two Witnesses.
Ron has Larry Spivey and another member editing his booklets about the new “truths”. These won’t actually be printed but will be available as PDF downloads at the end of the Feast of Tabernacles. The feast season is almost upon us, with the Feast of Trumpets on September 9 and Ron and Laura heading for Australia in two weeks. So far Ron has kept the lid on blathering too much about the new “truths”. But if he doesn’t slip before the feast, we can be patient. After all, we’re still waiting for the Great Tribulation to start and next Saturday the 1260 days of Great Tribulation are half over.
What I don’t understand (well, yes I do, but let’s just pretend) is that, if Ron-god has all those powers as The Spokesman First Witness, why didn’t he HEAL Tina? I mean, since he claims to have all those powers, NO ONE in his congregation, especially those who have rank, should not die of an illness. Yet they do.
I’m hoping that his followers are finally waking up to the facts of who their Ron-god really is. And if ALL his congregations leave (hope, hope) he won’t have anyone to bully anymore and he won’t have their money to travel all over the world with. I’ve never seen anyone travel so much for apparently no reason other than to enjoy their “vacations”.
Wake up, sheeple! He’s a FRAUD!!! Get out of there!!!
A PKGer could argue that healing is not one of the powers granted to the Two Witnesses in Revelation chapter 11. To which I’d respond that causing droughts and turning water into blood is one of his powers and he hasn’t done that either. Oh, and breathing fire on his enemies. {Looking over my shoulder. Nope, no singe marks there either}
I think a lot of his misguided members may have already had health issues ,this is one of the reasons they hung onto his bullshit,hoping for eternal life. My wife was diagnosed with cancer cells -Thankfully a false diagnosis . My heart goes out to these people and their families spending their last moments following him instead of spending time with people who would love them instead of ripping them off. Leave him behind to stew in his own mess and get on with your own lives !!
Oh man. This guy is so obviously a fake, and you KNOW he is going to change everything when Christ doesn’t appear in 2012! mark my words, God will magically have another one of his amazing changes of heart right on that day, and Ron will announce how merciful God is for sparing people with a little extra time to repent and on and on. Please! We need a medical ninja to break into his house and secretly administer anti-depressants to Ronnie in his sleep so he will beginning pulling away from his religious delusions unawares. Help us neurology ninjas! You’re our only hope! Someone, please, put a message in a droid and send it to the neuro-ninjas!
Just take a look at the picture to the right, with Ron in his Cabana shirt and Laura sporting her DaVinci veneers. They are laughing at all the people who believe him and his hooey. Of course, they also have a lot to be joyous about since they get all their exotic vacations paid for. What the heck do they do other than walk to the mail box to collect tithe checks, take those checks to their bank(s) and deposit the loot, then travel on that money all over the world preaching their ministry of hate and mockery, lies and deception? Of course they diversify their retirement portfolio with money sacked away in overseas accounts. Just look at them and think (really think)- what are they doing with the members’ money? Where is it all going?
2008. Let no one ever forget.
Members don’t want to talk to Ron’s ego after sermans? Well why not? One can only wonder…
Herbie died un-fulfilled as will Ronny, all the money in the world can not begin to make up for lost hopes and dreams and Ron’s are not coming true, not even close.
He’s already rather bitter, but the bell tolls for Ronny & wife and there is more disapointment awaiting them around the corner of which none can be fixed by $$.
Ron’s making money but to what end? It’s not gonna make him a prophet, or an apostle, or famous or happy. He’s not even well known enough to go down as partially infamous for his mental delsuions and corrupt dogma. Money can’t buy ya fame, and Ronnies tried to buy it on google and with books, he failed.
All that remains to Rons ministry is how many people he can hurt on the way down the slide into oblivion?
It’s all a big Joke, but no ones laughing.
Honesly, how would you like to waeste your life away on such tripe and then come to the end of the road and final failure? Ron’s well along the road and can see all the signs even though he ignores much. But the times just keep going on and the failure of Ron’s life becomes more apparent to Ron all the time. Ron has lost so much along the way. His books are not mentioned any more, no more radio talk shows, no more fame, no more big events, just no more… Poor Ron. Poor Sheeples.
Anyone care to take Rons place and his money? I think not, for money is of no use and his “place” is a worn out ministry of pain and hardship.
Go figure?
Ron’s interviews for the most part were set up by publicists who took his money, did their job, and then had a chuckle on the way to the bank to deposit the check.
It’s sad, but:
– there will be people who believe that Ron’s a Revelation 11 Witness ’til the day he dies, however long that is even decades, and maybe even after.
– there are people waiting in the wings with their own version of end-time prophecies. For example Clarion Call David Pack. Even Bob Thiel who has criticized Ron longer than have I is warming up for his own version.
It is hard to make yourself fully realize it, as the mind rebels, but I think you are right, Mike. In all probability, Ron and his little church-cum-mealticket will survive the complete lack of anything happening. A lot will leave, but enough will stay to form the nucleus of the COG VI – the return of the son of the revenge of COG. It will all just keep trundling along, mindlessly unstoppable as always. It boggles the mind!
With only a week to go, I think it is time to call it: I predict that the new truths will be a re-working of what the tribulations mean. A lot will be moved into the realm of the spiritual (read undetectable) and there will be an explanation why this is the only way it could possibly happen. I think you can wrap this in a story that the sheeple can relate to:
God is being merciful, but he is also showing us why god has to do things the way he does. Only the wise and godly can truly understand this: god must be cruel to be kind. Mankind, rejecting gods plan through sin, is like a wayward child. But now in the end-times, we are almost adults, and we are given much leeway. God is letting us fail so we can finally understand that we cannot be without him, and that his plan for us is the only right one. He is giving us rope to hang ourselves with.
If god showed his hand now, we would learn to follow, but not out of love for the plan, merely out of love for our own benefit. If your young adult keeps spending all his or her money on entertainment, do you manage their finances for them or do you let them run out of money so they can learn why they need to spend their money wisely?
God has put out the message loud and clear – the tribulations have started, for those who have eyes to see them. They are clear as day. Floods, market crashes, grain shortages – they are all over the place. Did you expect a magic show? Of course that will not be the case. Why would god want to force us? He wants us to come to him, because it is right – not from fear, nor for gain, but because it is the only right way.
All children know right from wrong, know what is expected of them at a certain age. Wise children do what is right because it is right, smart children do it because it is best for them, fearful ones out of fear of punishment, and the foolish do not do what is right at all. This is the eternal dilemma that we all see in our family life, in different roles. We are all part of gods family, and he faces the same dilemma with us. But now the time has come – mankind is now coming into adulthood, and we must make out choices, and chose which kind of child we are.
This is why many will not notice the tribulation, just like a teenager does not notice he or she is heading for a big fall when they are riding high, partying and neglecting to consider their future. They think they know so well, but many will come to wisdom only after they have suffered the consequences of their action. Some never will.
This is what I would do. It allows the end-of-days spiel to continue while gently beginning to move the focus away from the old testament blood-and-thunder stuff (which is not materializing) unto a gentler, wise old and patient parent idea of god that covers the complete lack of thunders and tribulations as well. You keep the special position as gods chosen people, but put it more like they are gods hall-monitors. If you question this view, it puts you in the bad / selfish or foolish child category. It also has the added benefit of reinforcing the idea that sending a prophet who makes predictions that do not come to pass is somehow a nice thing for god to do.
After all this, we will need a happy note on our feast and send them away positive. I cannot imagine what the carrot is going to be this time around.
All it will take it one more terror attack…doesnt have to be that big…but if one hits the USA this year or next,,,that will probably be enough to secure many seats in his filthy cult for atleast another 6 months….fear works every time and even though terror attacks happen all the time in other parts of the world…when it happens in the VERY few times in the rich and powerful western worlds, it is a SURE sign of “the end of the world” to most people in cults like this.
It is a bit like that rapture stupidity (made up in the 15th or 16th century actually)…the christians in nagasaki (where the nuke was dropped) believed nothin like that could happen until after the rapture when they were safe….but they were obviously and sadly wrong…..they probably thought God had abandoned them and “left them behind” (as the saying goes) and were in the thick of the tribulation….likewise it only takes a pampered nation to suffer even a little tragedy (as opposed to the BIG tragedies happening all the time in poor countries) and the people believe “it must be the end” as they are so unused to having their comfy lifestyle being interupted….perhaps having their television, microwave and nice springy mattress stolen is the tribulation too….the principle is the same, just different extremes.
Point is…this is all unfortunately the mentality of people who don’t tend to think outside the box and/or people who are not educated in the required fields and are therefore subject to deliberate abuse/manipulation by people like ronald mcdonald who poses as a prophet but really he is just reading books like “The American Hiroshima: Osama’s Plan for a Nuclear Attack, And One Man’s Attempt to Warn America” by Dr. Hugh Cort ;
http://www.afcpr.org/american-hiroshima.html
And also check this link out about Al Queda’s plan to nuke cities (not a prophecy given to ron by God) but simply already known about in “2005″…;
http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=31232
Read the above links and see how similar it is to rons 2nd trumpet “prophecy” given by God almighty himself…..or was it Dr Hugh Cort & World Net Daily via Bin Laden himself
Ron is also probably listening to “trends forecasters” like Gerald celente, going to DARPA type websites and the like as well as the USGS website lol.
PS mike can you make those links above clickable please?…i don’t know how to do it, thanks!
Matt, you seem to be referring to a guess as to what Ron’s new truths for the FOT are going to be. Actually, we have 3 more weeks before the full feast so I’m not quite ready to make my guess as to what they are. You could be right on your guess.
I think Steve has something there. Ron is not adverse to using sites like rense.com or WingNut Daily as authoritative sources if it supports his worldview. I imagine he spends a good part of his day surfing sites like those and watching cable news shows.
It is hard to say exactly what nonsense Ron will come up with. I find it interesting that Ron isn’t even going to come up with a printed booklet but just one that can be downloaded. It seems he needs to hold onto as much money as possible to pay for all these worldly vacations. I think he is trying to keep pace with our US president.
