You know who has upset me FAR, FAR more than Ron? Wayne and Chris Matthews.

I loved them so much. Whenever I had doubts when I was in Ron’s group, I would think to myself, ‘well, they are elders, they have been around a LOT longer than me, if Ron was false, THEY would know..’.

Oh yes, seems that the Matthews’ probably have their own agenda. They are NOT stupid people. But then, the very trait that they all sprout off about – PRIDE – is the very thing they themselves are ruled by.

To admit you are wrong, that God was never with you, that you believed a lie is just too unbearable to contemplate for most – and it is PRIDE that stops them admitting the truth – pure and simple.

When I left, I had to acknowledge all that to myself. Did it hurt? You bet. It left me with nothing – and THAT Ronnie boy, is where you find true humility. At your depths of NOTHINGNESS – I guess that is when you are like a helpless child, all your knowledge and beliefs fading away.

Scary, but also (after a time) – LIBERATING.

Do I hate Ron? Not anymore.
Do I feel hurt by Ron? Not anymore.

What do I feel for COG-PKG? Well, not too much anymore truth be told.

I still work through a lot of junk because of it all, but, it’s just turned into something so pathetic… for everyone still a member.

Given my example before about the Elders, they too will have a lot to answer for – I bet I wasn’t the only newbie who stuck around because ‘they (elders) know better’. Hats off to Benjamin for leaving…

Listened to 1 minute of the 1:17 time frame and heard the man actually state it, many of his statements about the thunders where not his, only recanted to allow others to stumble where they will…
That is the best song and dance he can do? That is the best “I didn’t do it” he can muster?
Ron is a poor spokesman to say the least.
If one is going to lie one should take the time and effort to really spin a good one, put in enough truth so that the waters get muddy and no real “right & wrong” can be applied to it.
I rather guess ol Ron has become a mediocre liar because the people he lies to regularly accept it way to easily so there is no need to be a good liar.

Well, on the plus side, it does stop many new people from joining up as the liar is not trying hard and thier ears have not been slaved to Ron’s voice by way of really cleaver lies.
Rons getting more sloppy all the time, just rambles on stating what he feels like as if God was speaking through him and he doesn’t even have to try as God will take care of it all.

So, when will Ron pull his own cork in the J-City again? Septemberish 2011?

As I said on Dill Weed’s site, this is either called “Stockholm Syndrome” or “idiocy”.

I would love to be able to rescue the former, Ron can have the latter.

I’ll be the first to admit, Mike, that I really couldn’t argue with what you are saying, especially if Ron can pull off the idea that the Thunders were really just a stumbling block, designed to trip up the unfaithful.

All I can say, is that if Ron can tap-dance his way through Pentecost 2012, it probably says more about the members than Ron, that they are truly a sorry lot, in need of help and some good counseling.

I probably look at things too darkly, but I just have this fear that someone could go really bonkers, and do something terrible before this is all over with.

RK, I think you underestimate the capacity of Weinland’s followers to drink whatever type of Flavor Aid he’s serving on any particular sabbath. He’ll either invent a new timeline, come up with some BS about Christ returning in spirit, or as Kirrily points out will blame it on his members.
