A Catch in the Rye
In his latest feast sermon from Australia, False Prophet Ronald Weinland discussed his senior evangelist Johnny Harrell, how Johnny was a witness to history. Johnny Harrell was actually in the audience on December 17, 1994 when “man of sin” and “son of perdition” Joe Tkach Sr. opened the first seal by upending Armstrongism in a sermon delivered in Atlanta. This sermon was reprised a week later in the Christmas eve sermon delivered in Big Sandy and distributed in a video to other WCG congregations. Johnny was in Toledo in February of 2000 when Ron took over the Church of God Inc from the lay church board. Also according to a statement in this sermon, speaking of the Harrells:
“They went with us to Israel, they were there when we began our job. And I feel very confident that they’re going to be there at the very to witness the end as well.”
In Weinland’s parlance “beginning their job” refers to the 1260 days during which they are to be the actual witnesses and prophesy. The first time they “began their job” was on April 17, 2008. But after the first timeline failed, the “beginning of their job” was rescheduled for December 14, 2008.
But in his sermon of December 13, 2008 delivered from Jerusalem just a few hours before the first trumpet reblew at sundown in Jerusalem, Ron stated that Johnny and Myrtle had left Brussels for Atlanta the prior Sunday while Ron and Laura flew to Cairo for a little sightseeing before continuing on to Jerusalem. So what timeline is Ron on? Did he really “begin his job” as a Witness on April 17, 2008 when Johnny and Myrtle were actually with him in Jerusalem, or was it on December 13 when they weren’t? Ron, inquiring minds want to know.
Ron also broke his long prophecy drought. He discussed the recent earthquakes in the South Pacific, and then continued:
“Things are getting shaken up out there. Just a little bit of a beginning of some things that are starting to take place, right now. I thought I’d pass that along to you, because they’re not small things that are happening and are going to increase mightily as we go forward here in the next few weeks.”
I’m just curious as to how long “the next few weeks” are going to last. Ron, will this be longer or shorter than my quick death from the inside that began with your curse on me issued on December 20th?

God, the frickin ‘Increasing Mightily’ has been going on for years now. *Yawn*.
I’m off to the pub for a cold one.
Have a good weekend all – LGD should be a treat.
I was just thinking, maybe it is a GOOD thing that Ron keeps making his prophecies, because we know they won’t happen.
Seems to be as soon as he stops making predictions, that’s when it all hits the fan!
Rest assured, now that he has said this, I doubt too many earthquakes will occur. But again, so what if they do? What happened to the ones that were meant to be worse than boxing day Tsunami?
So after initially telling us to look for events in his book and in sermons leading up to April 08, then when they didn’t happen telling us off for looking for ‘signs and events’ – it now appears he wants his followers to look at signs and events again.
How convenient.
Worse disasters have happened long before Ron was around. Krakatoa volcano is just one off the top of my head and i am sure you people can think of many more. He always jumps on anythin that hits the news to tighten the noose. I remember in 2008 he went on about the oregon swarms (quakes) that were hittin at the time and he was sayin virtually the same thing he did about the recent quakes in this article above. Also you should know that from what i remember (during my religious days), Ron “could” mean literal weeks but he might also mean “weeks of years” lol…meanin he can easily twist it around and say “oh i didnt mean literal weeks, don’t you listen to what i say?”…a week=7 days and 1 day= 1 year prophetically so in effect 2 weeks for example would be 14 years and so on. Then again he might just as easily say “it was not a prophecy, i didn’t predict anythin was going to happen MIGHTILY IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS”…he did it before with the “no president shall take office in 2009″.
“Then again he might just as easily say “it was not a prophecy, i didn’t predict anythin was going to happen MIGHTILY IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS”…he did it before with the “no president shall take office in 2009″.”
I disagree… he tried to do it, but for those with ears to hear, he failed.
I wonder how Ron & wife are going to look back on all this years from now when it’s all done and over with no return, no trumpters, no thunders, nothing… Human rationalization helps cushion the blows to ones ego but man, looking back on ones career as this huge smoking pit of failure has got to be rough. Everything he preached and everyone he hurt and all for naught? Settling into ones golden years with ones past all in tatters… ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee.
HA! He’s changed his story so many times that he’s having problems keeping things straight in his own twisted mind.
“next few weeks”
The word few usually means 3-5, with three being the most commonly accepted definition. But in Ron’s world it means whatever he tells us it means.
“So what timeline is Ron on?”
Witness the two revolving timelines of Ronald Weinland.
Weinland’s Predictions <- It says "Weinland's predictions to date, but that was a while ago. I lost interest after the second timeline started failing, personally. So did a lot of other bloggers. I have a feeling that’s what Weinland was counting on.
There are a few websites writing about this stealing bastard ronald weinland ,who is breaking up families -are there any american people or websites that are actually doing any thing to prevent this heresy or do we have to wait till the next time he comes to europe !
There actually are several websites, like this one, that are exposing his heresy; you can lead a horse to water, though, but you can’t make him drink. His followers are told not to read these websites, so I’m guessing most of them don’t. The majority disappeared from these blogs after his prophecies failed because they couldn’t handle the pressure of having to explain why they keep following this guy. All they could do was spout off about all of us being mockers.
He doesn’t make public exactly where he’s going to be each week, am I right about that, Mike? I think members get notified directly, so you can’t even go there and try to reason with him. He won’t be held accountable, and I don’t really think he’s someone you could reason with because he’s delusional, so there’s not a whole lot we can do. For someone who’s supposed to have supernatural powers that can be used against anyone who tries to stop him from preaching, he sure does keep a low profile.
Ron usually publishes his location in advance on the “Trips” page of his blog. But it’s no finer resolution than a metropolitan area, he doesn’t publish the exact location. He only wants to meet screened members.
As far as any action beyond publishing his failed prophecies, the only thing that may be going on is the IRS criminal investigation of Ronald. I have hopes for some results from that.
Graham, your statement could be interpreted as suggesting something stronger should be done. While I can’t know exactly how you feel, it’s got to be pretty devastating and your anger is understandable. I just hope you won’t do anything too strong that could put you in hot water. (Which wouldn’t be from any Witness powers described in Rev. 11). And I doubt it would fix your relationship. It’s not up to any human to enforce the penalties of Duet. chapter 18.
Couldn’t help myself – listening to Dumbarse give his LGD sermon. AntiClimax. This ain’t gonna end until the non return of Christ in 2012. To those who stay with Ronnie boy, you deserve what you get.
