I still think this guy is actually giving value for money in a way no other religion does. Armageddon while you wait, and a thundering good floorshow to keep you occupied in the meantime :fall of the USA within the next 3 months according to one of his books and a United States of Europe within the next 2 years, world war 3, you name it, the weinland show has it!

But to those here that feel bitter, think of it this way: there are people that were raised on this drivel, and that broke away from it. If you need any better proof that the human mind is a wonderful thing and that we are all able to think critically and decide our own destiny, that must be it. The Weinlands of this world don’t have it all their own way – even those that are indoctrinated from the get-go are capable of asking the ultimate question: “says who?” if there is any people like that about, thanks for showing me there’s hope for us all yet!

Just wanted to add a comment to your question as to why God allows people like Ron to continue. I think God would say that He warned us against such men. He told us how to test prophets. I believe He would ask us how it could be that we have access to His word and don’t know how He feels about false prophets and how to know if a prophet is false. Those who follow a false prophet will have to answer to God as to why they chose to believe a man over God.

God allowed Satan to lie to Eve, so she could choose whether to believe him or God. He is still giving us that choice.

As convincing as the lies of a cult leader can be, unless it can be shown that people are being held physically against their will, they are choosing to believe him. They are choosing to close their eyes, their ears and their minds to everyone who tries to show them the truth – including God.

He’ll probably work the Florida/Georgia/Alabama floods into it too.

But you know what, it doesn’t matter what he says or does, his downfall is set in stone.

That is the attitude I think I need to develop – I have swung too far on the naughty side Need to get things more straight. (I have been VERY rebellious!!).

Kirrily, We have all felt bitter from time to time so don’t apologize. I guess we, the “impatient” generation, are just sick and tired, sick and tired. But I look at it like God created it all and wound the spring up and set it all in motion. Sooner or later the spring will run down, and it will all STOP. We just don’t know where we are in the cycle of the spring, and that’s the part that frustrates us all. We have no say or control over it, and we feel out of control like it will never be set right. So personally, I have chosen to live in the day, not in the past, and not look to the future. It’s enough to eek out a decent life, to stay afloat. For me, I still have faith that God is in charge, that He knows the end of the story. The WCG didn’t take that away from me. I am completely confident that the bad guys will get “theirs”, maybe not in my lifetime, but eventually. So be calm, take a breath and keep a clear head.

This is going to sound bitter, and I guess it is, but if God loves us so much, then why does he allow people like Ron to CONTINUE.

Where are HIS curses in Deut that he promised false prophets?

Why does he allow the wolf to come in and kill all the sheep? Where is the shepard?

Makes me wonder is all.
